Despite the face-lift, it’s still a go-to for one of the best chivitos in the city. The gut-busting hot sandwich is composed of steak, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise on a roll, with the addition of bacon when ordered Canadiense-style — as it should be. Food was excellent and quite affordable. Server was patient given our limited language proficiency. Nice, casual atmosphere. Highly recommend.

My husband and I stopped in here for breakfast early on a Saturday morning. The service was prompt and friendly. The menu includes a few vegetarian options. We both had sandwiches and coffee drinks. The atmosphere was lovely and quiet.

Service was slow, the civito meat tasted good, the fries were cold, the potato salad was tasteless. Worst part was when we paid the server added a tip without asking or telling us, or showing us the total on the machine. Seems dishonest and unethical to do that

Good neighborhood diner offering Uruguayan classics with reasonable prices. The Chivito Canadiense sandwich came with a mountain of french fries that can feed two or three. The sandwich itself is nothing special. Will probably return to try other food on the menu.

Have had hot chocolate a couple of times here. Yesterday the service was slow and this can be improved .We were served hot chocolate without the chocolate and had to wait about 15-20 mins for them to provide the chocolate to be added to the milk . The fish starter is good and worth trying .

Just terrible and I wish I could give 0 stars. Here is why: 1. They don’t respect the line. Apparently the line is only for the main section, not the side 2. Our server did not know the menu or clean the tables. People sat in dirty tables for at least 15 minutes. 3. We ordered the chicken milanesa and got “meat.” When I mentioned it, he simply said “yeah it’s meat,” and walked away. No apology or anything. 4. The other server that seemed decent at the job, would scold our server about tending to his tables but not help. 5. Overpriced for flavorless, garbage food. The only positive was that we got a free coffee (which wasn’t that great anyways) but the man at the register did apologize.
