Exquisite Catering & Events

We had an AMAZING private catering experience at our home from Exquisite. Chef Tiffany was incredibly professional, knowledgable, and resourceful (she made magic happen in my kitchen that I didn't know was possible), yet warm and friendly. Our dinner was delicious! What seemed like common dishes (e.g. mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, candied bacon, crab cakes, etc ) somehow were elevated. Flavors were vibrant and fresh, items were plated beautifully, and all ingredients were locally sourced. We were honored to have Chef Tiffany in our home. We highly recommend!

I spent a Sunday here, volunteering for a Black real estate trade organization's photo and video shoot. The place had very recently changed ownership from the former Green Line Coffee to Exquisite 501. I did not have any food or beverage, but the place has a full coffee bar in the front of the house, and a full kitchen in the back. The storefront is beautiful outside, but the inside has some spectacular details. From the chairs hand painted with Chicago south side neighborhood names to the hand-drawn chalk art. The corner location with two walls of glass makes for a daylight filled front half (a subject from the video interviews is pictured, seated near the glass front wall overlooking 61st Street.

Chemlab is the current restaurant here. Brought the family. I had the chicken and waffles. Came with potatoes and peppers. I am not exaggerating when I say this is possibly the best fried chicken I've ever had. The waffle was also delicious. The potatoes were seasoned precisely to my taste, so I was sincerely happy with these as well. Our kids had pancakes and waffles and seemed to be generally happy with it all. Seriously, though, this chicken is fantastic!

As a restaurant owner you look for other places to wind down and get a delicious meal, Exquisite 501 is that place. You can taste every ounce of care and love put into each dish that Chef Tiffany developed. The ambiance is perfect and goes hand in hand with the delicious food. I went a little crazy and ordered a few dishes to go as well; and as expected it lived up to Chef Tiffany’s Exquisite standards. This will be a permanent staple in the community. My suggestion is to go get you some of that good food.

Exquisite catered an event for my company on 6/21/2021. The food was amazing. Every single dish was satisfying and at the first bite I knew that the chef and team are dedicated to their craft. Each dish told its own story and left me in awe. In addition, I'd like to compliment the staff members presenting the dishes. They were so fun and made the food even more enjoyable. I'd recommend Exquisite to anyone.

I enjoyed my experience at the restaurant. Even before the event, emails were sent to confirm that we were still attending, our order was correct and the number of mothers in our party. We were seated to our table even 15 minutes earlier for our reservation and presented with a rose and mimosa. They told us the food would be 15 minutes. The food was delicious and service was great! They dealt with my noisy and loud son and they were understanding of him. I will definitely be back.

We could not be more satisfied with Tiffany Williams and Exquisite Catering. We have contracted this business several times over the last couple years and our expectations have always been exceeded. Exquisite has catered our events small and large and the food selections and quality as well as the service have been excellent. We look forward to contracting Exquisite in the future.

I dined there for Chicago Restaurant Week and the food was absolutely amazing. My 3-course meal began with a mushroom parmesan broth that was divine. For my entree, I chose the cherry wood smoked Atlantic salmon with homemade pappardelle in a creamy sun-dried tomato pesto. I believe that’s when the world stopped because it was one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while. For dessert I had the decadent chocolate cake which I also thoroughly enjoyed. Chef Tiffany and her staff were very attentive and did an excellent job with our party. This is black owned establishment that is worth checking out!
