Yelp
Shabby. No shuttle according to desk clerk, although we keep seeing a van with their logo loading and unloading passengers with luggage. Old, shabby furniture and carpet, fairly clean lobby. Rude desk clerks. No breakfast service, housekeeping every two weeks and no discount for the inconvenience. No common area, no I don't know where they would serve the breakfast they claim in their advertising. No pool or exercise room. No coffee maker. Kitchen tools available by request only and limited items. Doors slamming down the hall shook the poorly constructed, non insulated walls. Poor accomodations for disabilities. Window was open when we checked in and the room smelled smoky. Three hangers. No hair dryer. Seriously. We were told we had to bag our towels and return them to the desk if we wanted clean ones. Visible dirt on the phone. The carpet had smutz on it and what looked like popcorn and dry beans, even after our every other week cleaning, and there was also debris behind the bathroom door. I had to argue with the desk clerk to get a cleaning, she kept arguing that our room had been cleaned the week before, which it had not. I fail to see how only cleaning twice a month helps with Covid19, and why we weren't told about it until after we prepaid for a month. The top sheet was wrinkled and not crisp, as if maybe the housekeeper put a dirty one back on, so we checked with ultraviolet light, and there were bio stains on the side of the bed that had not been slept on, and since we got the light, I checked and they were also on the carpet. My companion was afraid of retaliation if we complained so he used the stained sheet. Some small spills on the dresser were not touched. The cable frequently lost signal for extended periods of time.
The halls smelled like old salami. The vending machine was not refilled. The reviewer who said to spend $20 more on another hotel was right.
The Sunday housekeeper slams and bangs door or something in a steady, wall shaking rhythm. So much for a day of rest.
