We ordered our custom backyard bbq just a few weeks before Christmas, and they actually made it quickly and delivered it to San Diego. My husband was thrilled to be bbqing on Christmas Eve for our family! It looks very professional and we are very happy with it! Jimmy was very helpful in choosing the finishes and different components. My favorite part is the fire pit on our bar area!

If I could give 0 starts I would do that, because this company is nothing but garbage, we bought over 30k in outdoor merchandise and our Napoleon outdoor chimney was defected and I spend over $500 to repair because he did not want to honor the return. Owner of this company received a check from the manufacturing company for us as of reimbursement. on April 1st received a check that bounce and is been over a month that this individual does not want to pay us the monies that he owes us and he keep playing games in returning our money. I do not recommend this company at all. Bad business with owner James, very Rude individual

We purchased our bbq island from EBD and reached out to them as we had a natural gas line restriction. (Nothing to do with the Q.) When I called, Mr. James, he understood the issue and said they can convert to propane the same day. Hugo and Joe (techs), came out and in the rain - and converted/tested the Q and is functioning as expected. All is good, saved me $$ from having to breakup my backyard and we can now enjoy our Q’ing as usual. Tnk u EBD!!

We recently had an Outdoor kitchen done . We chose Extreme Backyard Designs after talking to several companies . They have been in the business for decades and have Showroom for design inspirationa . James is easy to work with and did not try to upsale us during our initial consultation. After the contract was signed , the process went smoothly . Even with a few changes , James was very reassuring and flexible. Shout-out to Johnny , Hugo and the rest of the field team for the streamlined delivery and installation .

I'm mostly reviewing jentek inserts here. they look nice but every door gets a ding in the top and bottom edge by the hinge. bad design. the frame causes it when opening the door. see pics.

We visited several places for patio furniture. We bought here because they had something we liked that fit our needs but more importantly had the BEST customer service. Good quality products also. If you need to purchase bbq island don't come here. I guess my money is not good enough. I had estimate for a bbq island and fire pit from Ed. When he gave me the pricing for both told him I was going to hold off on fire pit and just interested in bbq island at this time. He didn't seem to happy about it, but said he would text me new pricing and dimensions the next day. Waited and nothing, so after 3 days texted him. He responded he would send. Still nothing. Decided to call him a day later, and sent him text. He responded that he was out of office, but he would text me in afternoon. Crickets, no phone call or text. I guess if you're not spending $11k they are not interested. If you are in need of bbq island go to Corona Bbq Islands, way better service and prices.

These guys are Awesome! They have everything you need to furnish your backyard at great prices. James is a good guy... he made sure I was 100% satisfied and everything was as promised. I will definitely come back and tell my friends.

I've had my eye on a particular bbq grill for a while now. I wanted to purchase from a local shop, as opposed to a big box store. I walked in with cash in my pocket, I wasn't greeted or even acknowledged. Pretty abysmal service from the get-go. Walked around to see what was on display, to see if they had what I wanted. They did have them on display. Still hadn't been acknowledged or greeted, I ran into a guy from the back and requested to check availability for a grill. He found a "sales guy" to help me. He wasn't much help, or very friendly. All that was left was the floor model. I would Have preferred a brand new untouched one, but would have totally taken this one. In fact, With a better attitude, I may have been swayed to purchase a different brand/model, and even price range. Guess we'll never know. Definitely can't recommend this place though.

I was referred to here by my pool company that is currently building my pool. I went into store last month to look at some BBQ designs and patio covers and was given a card by James and discussed pricing and told to call back when I was ready to get started with an estimate. I called in today to get someone to come out and give me an estimate and was told they don't have time to have some one come out on a cold call? That was a first for me! I'm spending over 6 figures on backyard remodel and they don't want my money. OK plenty of other businesses out there. Good luck Extreme!

Worst experience ever you will loose your time and your money they keep my $2,500 deposit because after almost 3 months of waiting and no comunicación from the i was told they don't have the tile I order and if I don't change it or choose another one that they do have, I will loose my deposit. I order a barbecue island worth $8,000 after 3 almost months of waiting and me calling them about 10 times with no returned phone calls I was told that what I order is not available anymore and that I had to chose something g us that they do have available. I told them I wanted what I order exactly the way I wanted and that I was not going to pay $8,000 for something I don't want or like so I was told by the owner he will keep my $2,500 and to do what ever I wanted. It gets better !!! after I posted this review I got a call from the owner threatening me because I wrote a review with what happen. Don't waisted your time or your money with this people

Relatively empty store, we walked around for 20 minutes and Finally when we interrupted a gentleman behind the bar he acknowledged us. The guy was more worried about cutting up meat then selling product. Horrible customer service. We went around the corner and ended up spending $6000 at Patio Plus where they had exceptional customer service.

Very satisfied! After shopping around for BBQ islands we chose Extreme Backyard Designs and couldn't be happier! The pricing was great and James and his team were knowledgable and accommodating. We wanted it installed before our Mother's Day party and these guys delivered on time, just like they said they would. We even upgraded our grill to a Delta Heat because the pricing was so good. We love our new BBQ island and the service at EBD. We will be back to purchase more backyard toys in the near future! I highly recommend this place!!

I had to write a review on this amazing place! From the moment we walked in my wife and I were treated with professionalism. John greeted us and assisted us along the way. He was very patient while we took our time to looking around and asked several questions. Once we finally picked our island and fireplace we were told that it'll take 4-6 weeks to be installed. Well 3 weeks later it was all set up! I have zero complaints and we are very very happy. Thanks for the help John and keep treating people with love. We appreciate you.

Great Customer Service! We were looking for a BBQ island and Fire pit for our newly remodeled backyard, and checked several places before making our purchase at Extreme Backyard Designs. Their top notch customer service and very competitive prices made our decision easy! James, the owner was very easy to work with and he routinely kept me updated on our order. Kudos! to the team that delivered our items to our home. This team of three were outstanding!. Hugo ensured our items were carefully unloaded and brought into our backyard safely, he explained the entire process before starting. Hugo's attention to detail in assembling our BBQ island was amazing! He made sure our BBQ island was exactly where we wanted it. He even took the time to educate me on how to operate my Kegerator. I have had the same bbq island for 20 years and figured it was time to start looking for a new one. Extreme Backyard Designs is definitely the place to go. James Deeley Sr. is phenomenal, not only in his expertise but also in his professionalism/personability. He took his time, made me feel welcome, no question was too much or silly and delivered what he said he would. I was here when his guys came to install the bbq island. Each of the guys was wonderful and did a thorough job ensuring that each piece was placed securely and fit perfectly. I am not one to usually put in reviews, but this place is worth it. The service was great and they guys who delivered the BBQ Island were professional, friendly and really good at their job. Hands down the best place to visit if looking for a BBQ Island. My wife came to Xtreme backyard designs And we knew exactly what we wanted. Ed was very helpful and answered all of our questions. He finalized everything to the last detail. Our island was built from scratch just the way we wanted it. The tile work was superb. Our island was delivered by Harley Miguel and Hugo. They did an awesome job delivering the grill without a scratch. They were very helpful and I would definitely be recommending all my friends and family to them.

When it was time to pick out my new barbecue appliances my contractor said to look no further than Extreme Backyard Designs and like everything else thus far, the contractor was right. I spent about 20 minutes on the phone with James going over the pros and cons of some of the grills I had found while scouring their site and others. By the end of our conversation I felt confident I had picked the right pieces, which to me was so important because nice equipment is not cheap. I would absolutely recommend friends and family in the market for barbecue equipment make this their first and only stop.

Been looking for some new patio barstools shopped around a few places couldn't find any quality products stopped by extreme and was amazed on the selection of quality products they offered was greeted by Charlie very friendly salesman showed us a few different styles of barstools and broke down the different prices we ended up placing our order late in the evening and charlie set up the delivery for Wednesday between10-12 and by 11am Larry and his guy showed up with barstools very friendly guys I would definitely recommend this place very happy with the outcome.

We went into extreme backyard designs for some backyard furniture for our newly upgraded backyard. We came late one evening and got pricing from a man named JUAN and asked if we could come back another day as we wanted to think about it. We asked how long our verbal quote would be good for (because they don't do paper quotes) and Juan told us about a month or two. So fast forward a couple days later to today and I went back to purchase the furniture with the exception of the two lounge chairs. We were paying cash so the price for everything was $6000 out the door. The price we were given for the loungers was $1150. Now I don't know about y'all, but my calculator says that $1150 from $6000 equals $4850. This guy Juan magically changed the price to $5400, and let's not forget that also all of a sudden the custom cushions are NOT included. Funny thing is, he had said they were included not even a few minutes prior! So we try to ask why and he said I was paying with card, we said not a problem we'll pay with cash. He said the "PRICE CHANGED TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT, AT THIS POINT I DONT CARE, I DONT HAVE THE TIME OR THE ENERGY TO ARGUE WITH YOU, THE NEW PEICE IS WHAT IT IS TAKE IT OR LEAVE, YOUR CHOICE. So we left. Honestly, I've never been spoken to like this before by a business salesperson so it was a little shocking. I will also like to say that it was approximately 545pm and he was about 3/4 finished with his BEER. When I told my friend he was drinking a beer during working hours in a business establishment, she didn't believe me and had to see for herself. And to each his own, if JUAN wants to drink beer, or even drink on the clock, fine that's his choice- just don't treat customers like trash. Poor management to allow such behavior by their staff. DO NOT GO HERE- DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THEY SAY- THEY WILL TRY TO GO UP ON PRICE - SAY THEY DIDN'T SAY WHAT THEY SAID-

So disappointed with the sales person JUAN. He gave us a price on furniture and assured me it was valid for what ever time I needed to think about it . Came back a week later and he was so rude and told me to take it or leave it with a huge increase in price . They wouldn't honor the price we agreed on . And he was drinking so inotsure if it was the alcohol that made him react like this . But I was hurt by the way he spoke to me. In response to your comment , I am first responder. Obviously no respect .

Excellent experience from start to finish! We worked with James SR. and James JR. to complete our 17' fireplace and 13' BBQ Island and could not be happier with the job they did for our backyard. they always answered my call, or called me right back after leaving message, answered every questions I had, came by my house to be sure gas lines, electricity, and water were where they needed to be prior to my cement pour for both BBQ and Fireplace. I have my own business and do not recommend very many people, but this was done right from start to finish! has been a complete pleasure to do business with Extreme Backyard Designs and they will be getting some referrals from me.

This is the place! We walked in and met Ed, he was very helpful. My wife and I already had an idea of what we needed. Ed had every detail under control and answered every question we asked. The quality of this island is like no other. The tile work is very straight with no high edges. The stucco is acrylic and very strong stuff. We got the AOG bbq, side burner, fridge and lots of doors and drawers. I could not have built it for the price they sold it to me. The crew that installed it was very professional, clean and polite. All in all, they kept every promise made.

Great customer service! Charlie helped us out and was great. He worked with us to find exactly what we wanted and then helped us customize us. Will be back when I'm ready for my outdoor fireplace. Prices were better than the several other stores I went to as well!

I really have to give it to James I told him what I wanted and he told me it would be about 4-6 weeks. Since it was a surprise we had to wait till my husband would be away for a couple days. They got it installed and a few minor details fixed in less then 3 weeks. Hugo made sure it was completed. He even stayed after everyone else left to manage details. My husband has used his gift multiple times and really likes it. Thanks again

Just went back for the second item of our backyard living room. We were dreaming of an outdoor fireplace with TV combo and after looking over many pictures on Houzz and Pinterest came up with an idea that would need to be custom built. Ed and Jim were helpful in picking out the finishing touches with the trim and the rest is history. Would and will recommend EBD for any of our friends backyard needs.

We were looking to buy "just" a BBQ grill... then we started doing our homework for prices, quality and how tasty our meats we wanted to come out. That is when we discovered this little paradise. As soon as you get into the store, your head starts spinning around. You will find from BBQ islands, patio sets, different sort of unique pieces to embellish your back yard. Our eyes went straight to this unusual good looking grill, That you can only see on the food network BBQ marathons. Its name "traeger the smoker grill" how it was explained to us that our meats will taste, and how much we would love it, we fell in love. We got "her" and they even deliver it to us within thirty minutes all set up and ready to start grilling!! We got a great deal not only on the price but a few freebies. We are so happy with our traeger and how exquisite our meats are cooked. It is the best investment one can do. My husband BBQ every weekend. We have had pulled pork, filet mignon, rib eye steaks, baby back ribs, lamb, sausages and so on. This is a family business, with great customer service regardless how small our purchase was comparing to what they sell there. and I'm glad I found my dream BBQ grill and I get to support a small business.

Great service great place! I bought my BBQ last year and it has been amazing. I got the whole island set up with a pergola. When I got there the set up I wanted was no longer on the floor but they remembered me from the year before and remembered that I liked that island. They found the pictures and the we customized it from that point. It took about 6 weeks to get because of some customized options and the grill being on back order. It was perfect. They came in and installed professionally and were done in about three hours. I am going back for chairs this month and look forward to another great shopping experience. Recommendations: think about what you want and let them know what you want. Just be prepared and enjoy the awesomeness!

Walked in looking for a bbq island with my wife and kids and the inside REEKED of marijuana. Very obvious employees were smoking in this place as we were browsing. Completely inappropriate. Never again.

Ed was so helpful in helping us pick out all the right equipment to suit our needs. We were able to design it to our specifications, and couldn't be happier with how perfectly it turned out. It's so beautiful & the craftsmanship is excellent. The guys that delivered it (Daniel, Harley, Hugo and Miguel) worked hard and quickly, but still took the time to explain all of the bells and whistles. Looks great and great craftsmanship. James (The owner) helped me pick out the perfect BBQ for me. I was very indecisive and with a budget. James was patient and gave me ideas for a custom built BBQs at costs closer to my budget. Once I made my decision I called back a week later and added/changed a few things to my BBQ. James made the changes with no problems and continued to build my BBQ. After four weeks my BBQ was done and delivered as promised. It looks great! I am very happy and can't wait to start the grill. Overall my barbecue set is exactly what I expected and looks great! I do recommend!

Horrible horrible service. They are good at seeking you items but aren't help at all after. They came to deliver my pizza oven today. It was missing items and they told us we have to go buy them and attach them ourselves. We paid for assembly and all parts. We call and a guy by the name of John said he can't help is at all and everything is there apparently him and his employees don't communicate. Just terrible I would t recommend them at all.

These guys are true professionals and you will not regret choosing them. I started with bidding out my backyard project with 5 other vendors. I was reluctant to use Extreme since they were over 60 miles from my home in Dana Point. They do projects all over So Cal but I was concerned that the drive would make it difficult when it comes time for production and installation. It ended up that they were very responsive and showed up with quick notice for any issue at the time of build out and even after build out. So being in a different county made no difference. They take responsiveness very seriously and have staff ready and willing to get out to you. True professionals that specialize in bbq, firepit, waterfall water features, and even the installation of my tile and masonry work with El Dorado stone across my entire backyard. My home is a high end home and this backyard can compete with any high end home but the price is half of what you would pay if you hired a full time contractor. The only thing that I had to contract separate was the paver flooring. There was no shortage of paver companies to assist in the project. Extreme Backyard Designs turned out to be the best decision ever. This firm does both small and large projects. My backyard was gutted and started from scratch (with the exception of some plants that I kept). The design included a 7 foot long fire pit with a 14inch by 4 foot burner and a 10.5 foot barbeque with a fire feature on the bar top. I chose Delta Appliances and after several uses it grills fantastic. Take a look at my pictures and see what you can create. If you are in orange county you must consider this team. James Deeley heads it and he is an honest guy that will tell you the good, bad and ugly. No extra salesmanship just honest business. You can trust this firm. My reviews are not always positive but this firm deserves your attention.

Ok so I had a whole back yard created with two BQs complete kitchen fire pit on the bar 10 chairs around the bar a 20 by 20 palapa top its Beautiful !!$30.000 complete. the job went well a few minor things that needed to be completed after getting paid in full my mistake !!! and 15 calls to get the minor bar stuff completed which was started in june today is December 20th and still not done! Just letting you all know this company does not have integrity! They dont even return phone calls !

Today was delivery day! A+ all the way around! I had a vision for my pizza oven, and they built the BBQ island around it. They even came and picked up the pizza oven for a perfect fit! Jeff has an amazing group at his store. They worked around my budget, and I'm very happy with the outcome.

Contacted these guys from a referral. We went to their showroom "just looking" and $10k later designed our 14' custom BBQ Island. I worked with Ed. This is a family owned business and they are proud of their reputation. There were communications problems, scheduling problems and installation problems. I believe you should just expect problems from any contractors. Crap is going to happen and it did. How a company handles the problems defines the company. I am happy to say they were going to make sure I was completely satisfied. And in the end I was. Great job Extreme Backyard Designs!

I'm very please to say that I love my custom barbeque and sunbrella patio furniture perfect size for the small space I have ,everything is very nice. my visit to extreme backyard designs has made me very satisfied. Brenton at extreme backyard helped me with all my design needs great service friendly helpful staff. I'm very excited to fire up my grill for labor day, everything was delivered on time. Guys did a great job with setting everything up. very good prices for a great quality of products. Thanks again extreme backyard designs. I will recommend family and friends.

I bought a Green mountain grill here about 3 months ago, and I thought the service was outstanding. I thought the service was so good that when my buddy was thinking about a new smoker, I recommended this place and rode with him to purchase a new green mountain grill. We looked at a few grills and my buddy made the purchase. The staff wrapped the grill in plastic, but before they rolled it out to load in the truck they accused us of stealing a cover for the grill and did not want to load grill until we paid for the cover we supposedly took. I had earlier asked about the cover to show my buddy the one that I had, he decided he didn't want to spend the extra money on a cover, and I placed the cover back on the stack. After offering to have them search our truck, they let us load the grill. I think it's offensive after spending $1800 in a 3 month period on grills between the two of us, that they would accuse us of stealing a $40 cover. We came all the way from Covina, passing by bbq's galore and a grill store in upland to help support a privately owned local businesses instead of going with a big corporation, and it pisses me off that this is the treatment we received. We won't be coming back unfortunately
