This is a great pizza place! I accidentally arrived near close time and they were so gracious and welcoming! I had a particular great service from an individual named Max! The restaurant is very clean! The bathrooms were also very nice and clean! The food was also spectacular! I got the barbecue pizza single and was genuinely surprised by the quality and quantities of toppings for only like $12! I would absolutely recommend this establishment!

The pizza here is absolutely delicious. The food takes quite awhile but it's worth the wait. I believe it is due to the fact that the crust is even made in house. The one beer I had was great as well! Definitely worth checking out

The best pizza in DC!! Conveniently located in Barracks Row, in a cool spot, with great atmosphere and amazing staff. We had the Kickin Chicken pizza and it is DEVINE!!!! We travel 3 hours for this pizza! Go see them. You won't be disappointed!

Food was Awesome. I had the bone in wings my fiancé had pizza and her friend had pizza and something else. It was great. They loved their food. We will be back.

Wow!!!! Visiting from Texas and this Pizza place was such a good find. Service was incredible Second only to the delicious pizzas we had. If we were locals, we'd be here once a week. Looking forward to our next visit so we can come back and see Sean, our awesome server. Keep up the great work!

Looking for Authentic well stop by Extreme Pizza and grab some of their delicious zip line knots or any gourmet pizza! Best pizza I’ve had since moving to DC hands down, it’s delicious and comes hot every time. It’s not messy, it’s not greasy, it’s literally just damn good pizza. ORDER NOW!

We’ve dined in as well as delivery. Each experience has been flawless. The pizzas are delicious and subs are always on point. The Zipline Knots appetizer is huge and could be a meal unto itself. This is our go-to place for pizza in DC.

Items Reviewed: Their Zipline Garlic Knots (with pepperoni, smoked bacon, mozzarella, pureed garlic, oregano, marinara, and olive oil $6.50). DELICIOUS. The marinara was smooth, & tangy, the proteins were cooked well. The dough was a tad bit tough to chew. Their Crux Sub (with shredded BBQ pork, red onions, cilantro, and cheddar $9.95). DECENT. My friend came here to get a personal pie before we headed back to VA. You would think that's simple enough, but we probably waited over 40 mins for it-- was charged extra fees by Uber because of it. I didn't eat, so I can't attest to the food, but I thought the wait time was absolutely ridiculous.

I will never eat here again. And, will actively encourage others to not eat here too. A baby mouse was in the restaurant! And, being that it was obviously a baby mouse, that likely means there are larger mice and likely other baby mice somewhere chilling in the restaurant. Food was mediocre at best. Pizza was overloaded with cheese, to the point of creating a lake of grease on top, and flavors were basic. There was no salad available even though it was around 2pm, which was weird. Maybe this is because they found mice in the greens and had to toss it all? My group was eating at a booth and I felt something touch my ankle. Thought it was my friend's shoe but when I looked I saw a baby mouse. We all freaked and the mouse slowly moved away from us, back towards us, and then headed to the front of the restaurant. After that, none of us could eat anything else as we had no way to know where that mouse, or its friends, had been (i.e. in/on our plates/pans/silverware/cups?). Furthermore, there was no soap in one of the bathrooms! Which brings up the common concern of, are cook and wait staff washing their hands? Two major health code violations! Only positive thing I will add is that the woman working there was kind. And, she kinda acknowledged the fact there was a mouse, after asking what's wrong, when we all freaked at first seeing it. One of us said, you got a baby mouse! Hungry consumer, beware!

Want great food at a great price?? Food is superb Had a bbq chicken pizza & a caprese salad. The dough was so delicious and piled with great portions of ingredients. Owners as well as staff are extremely welcoming and friendly will definitely be back when in this area.

I always check the reviews before I order meals from ANYWHERE!! I hate to do this but I MUST! This pizza is a "NO" for me. It was SO DRY! Also...why did it taste POWDERY? Weird! I may be a bit of a pizza snob being from Chicago and all but NO! The WINGS THOUGH!!! I got the Tandoori and they were DELICIOUS! It wasn't BAD but "it'll DO"!

I like my pizza a certain way and they got it just right! The pizza was fire! Service is great as well! You must check it it out. You def won't regret it!

This was exactly what we needed - good food, good price, good atmosphere. Nedal (the owner) was a wonderful host. We got the Classic Screaming Tomato pizza and it was awesome. So many other restaurants on this strip are seriously overpriced and don't deliver good value - this place may be the best deal in eastern market!

RUN do not walk FAR AWAY from this place! The guy who rang up my order proceeded straight from the register to the kitchen... AND without a second thought he began making my pizza. Did he stop to wash his hands? NO. Did he stop to put on gloves? NO. Just disgusting.

This food is plainly bad. Papa John's is 10 times better bad. Pizza barely had any cheese on it. Cheap, thin dough. Wings are full of filler. Only Olga and manny pizza is worse.

We stopped in on our Tuesday Date night looking forward to the Tequila Tuesday special they were running. We arrived at 430 and sat at the bar. There was only 1 couple there and they were in the process of ordering. As we walked in there were board games by the door. We chose Pictionary (there were no dry erase markers but we had a tablet). We sat and our server said hed be right with us. I think he was a one man show. Server, Bartender, AND cook. Either way, were weren't expecting super quick fast food style service so we waited but not long. 5 mins later he asked our drink order and filled them. I had the $5 Margarita. Yum. It was perfect and made with actual lime! We both got pizzas and I'll say mine was the Thai chicken. It could have used more toppings but was still a solid pizza. Side salads were great as well. The lemon thyme dressing was great on the spinach salad. All in all is say the individual pizza is enough, maybe see if they'll do heavy toppings for no extra. Enjoy the margarita!

This spontaneous stop turned out to be a great option. Thanks to our amazing bartender/server "Ray Ray" who was holding down the fort solo, we had a great experience. Drinks, pizza, and bbq tandoori wings(not pictured recommended by "Ray Ray" were amazing!). Will definitely go back.

The only thing extreme about this place was the extremely awkward experience I just had. I walked in at 10:30 PM. It seemed pretty lively and there were people eating and hanging out. I was not even greeted and then was made to stand there awkwardly while I watch them figure something out on their screen and never say anything to me again eventually walked out after standing there blinking for 10 minutes

Started going here for pizza during the summer. Really solid tasty pizza every visit! Railroad one is in the pic. I also liked the Thai chicken one on a past visit. Something different and worth a try! Variety of beers on tap & regularly rotate the craft beers. Incredibly nice staff & service. Friendly but not annoying check on the table every bite type. Ambiance- Music is a jam, sports are on the tvs but muted. Noise level is not so loud you can't hear your friends or talk at a normal volume. Cool long marble bar & pretty big restaurant space for the Hill. The logos and signage are actually a bit disjointed compared to the interior. I think the great bones were from a previous restaurant/bar buildout. From the signs I expected an in-your-face-wanna-be-BWW-tvs-cranked-loud-sport bar experience and glad to say I was proved wrong! Would be an easy pizza place to bring out of town friends/families. Reliable, not loud, easy swift service. Reasonable prices - a rare find on the Hill! BTW- Nice Happy Hour deals. After 3pm on Thursdays, if you buy a beer you get a free slice of cheese pizza

I was recommended to try Extreme Pizza at Barracks row SE, And that pizza was amazing. Always hot and delicious. I even tried the buffalo wings and i will be returning. So if anybody is looking for a good pizza go by and grab you one. You wint be disappointed. Nikoli W.

I thought long and hard about this review as I only had pick up. However the pizza was so, so good. Matchbox has been my favorite DC pizza for many years. They are still right across the street. As Extreme only has 9 reviews, check them out and let me know what you think. I'll need to revisit. I had a pepperoni and green pepper pizza. I asked for extra sauce. It....was....Amazing! Great flavors, great (crunchy) crust, so good. I'll definitely get it with extra sauce for round 2 (in a few weeks?). Oh, as you see in the picture, they have Pepsi products, haha. Let me know what you think! I need to go back.

This place is super high quality for how affordable it is. They have a deal 3-10 PM that you get a free slice of cheese pizza when you purchase a beer. The server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend!

The pizza here is great! The optiong are plentiful, the crust is perfect, and the flavor is deliciously spicy. The service is good, but could be more consistent: some guys and girls are friendly and anthers not so much. The atmosphere is good could be improved

We recently ordered from this place for our 12th grade high school field trip in Washington D.C. The order was 17 huge pizzas, several enormous salads, chicken wings, and 5 vegan/vegetarian options for some of our students. Everything in the order was delivered promptly to our hotel and was absolutely delicious. The students ate everything and we probably needed to order a few more things. One of my vegan students told me that it was the best vegan pizza she ever had in her life and wanted to go back the next day. We run our field trip every year and I will definitely be contacting this place again. Thanks for everything!

Stopped by Extreme Pizza with a buddy earlier this week. Limited outdoor seating but seems like they have a decent amount of space inside. Pizza menu is broad enough for a pizza place and you're able to add your own toppings as well. Wouldn't write home about it, but liked my experience there. The pepperoni rolls were good as well. Also, their liquor license wasn't approved at the time we were there but it should be soon.

Ordered the chicken ceasar salad with grilled chicken. Nice portion size and filling. I would have it again.

Disappointing to say the least. Despite living above Slice Joint my fiancee and I wanted to give this place a chance with low expectations- we were only hoping for decent garlic knots and a simple salad. When we arrived the place was empty and we were happy to support a new business in the neighborhood. However, we were shocked with the service and food quality. First off, they had to take our order three times with two different servers before they could put it in the system. And some of the food still came out wrong - when I noted to the waitress that I had asked three time for no olives on my salad she retorted that the menu says the salad comes with olives - no kidding, that's why I asked for them to be excluded! As for the food, the salad was wilted and the homemade lemon thyme dressing has a strange chunky consistency? The garlic "knots" I had been craving were long twists, which would have been okay if they had any taste or had been cooked correctly - but they were bland, not garlicky, and uncooked in the middle. As for the pizza my fiancee ordered - the menu said it would be mozzarella with a "sprinkle of cheddar" but it was completely orange and covered in it cheddar - not great. All in all, I want to give this place another try in a few weeks but after the rude behavior of the waitress over their mistake on my salad and the poor food quality- I'm not sure a second visit will be much better.

Super Delish! Got lucky and walked in while waiting for pilates across the street to start (see other review!)- and it happened to be their soft opening / training night which = FREE PIZZA!! Located in the former Senarts Oyster House - turned Orchid Bar which shut down, I'm relieved to see this GEM of a building and bar be salvaged !! The owners of Bombay Street Food 2 (next door), have purchased this Cali franchise for its first DC installation. Sssooo &Pizza I do love you- and feel super loyal to your DC roots- but you definitely have competition .... I ordered the cauliflower crust all veggie garden one, swapped mozzarella for goat cheese- asked for extra well done. REALLY good- it even had artichoke hearts !! Tasted like quality ingredients and is exciting to see they'll have gluten free / vegan cheese and meats options as well.. I like that there's an idea of the calorie count too... HIGHLY customizable and a laundry list of ingredients to pick from... The district area trainer also said something meaningful when he handed me my pizza, he said we hope to be the type of business where before anyone may ever want to write anything negative about us or has a complaint about anything, we hope to be told first and given the opportunity to fix it & make it right! Was SO excited to see Extreme Pizza open a new location right in the midst of the Eastern Market 8th St buzz The pizza was so good I guess you could call it... EXTREME! We tried a variety of pies and fun apps/sides and it's honestly impossible to pick a favorite pie (check out their fill menu and you'll see why) PIES I TRIED: 1. KICKIN CHICKEN: spicy ginger Thai chicken, peanuts, green onions, swiss, fontina, fresh cilantro, mozz, peanut sauce, shredded carrots 2. Pizza was cold tasted like it was leftover from the day before.Pizza was cold cheese was hard tasted worst then frozen pizza. Ordered Greek salt came with no feta cheese but salad was fresh

One of the best pizza spots I've been to!! The ingredients they use make the pizza burst with flavor, and yet it's very affordable! Also, best beer selection I've seen outside of an actual brewery. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending this spot to my friends.

This time I ordered the Railroad Grade Pizza for delivery - minus the onions but with added kalamata olives - it was flawless! Delivered hot and in less time than initially indicated on their tracking app. The pizza was great! They've started serving unique beers and wine now on site and that, coupled with the great space, friendly and helpful staff, make this spot quite a find. Their steak and cheese sub and chicken Cesar salad are really good too. And all for an affordable price. Couldn't ask for more!

I felt like the cashier Desiree was very rude. I initially tried to order online but did not see the location as an option, so I called and asked if I could order over the phone. The person on the line confirmed it was okay, so I said I would call back with my order. I called back and ordered two medium pizzas with minimal customizations. Online it said a medium was 12 inches, but when I got to the store, they said that a medium is considered a large, and that is 14 inches. I asked the cashier (Desiree) if she was the person that took my order, and she confirmed that she was. I then expressed how the ordering process was confusing because the website nor she explained that if you order a pizza in regular or wheat bread, it will actually be available in 10, 14, and 18 inches. She then said I usually only explain that to customers that she feels are "new," and since we ordered on the phone, she thought that we weren't new and did not need to explain. We got some wine which was a full glass, for $7 each. They then gave us soda cups to pour into ourselves because we were ordering to go. That was probably the best thing about the experience. When we went to pay, Desiree dared to ask if we wanted to leave a tip while I was signing the receipt. I asked my sister what she wanted to do, and she paid $6 because she had cash. Then Desiree picked up the tip jar in front of my sister and put it in front of me to solicit another tip deposit!!!! Completely rude and just bad taste. I told her that we are together and that's that. Overall, the pizza was okay, and the wine was priced well. The customer service is awful, and I will probably only go to the Virginia location in the future. I went to the VA location once for a sub at least six months ago, and they were very polite and respectful.

I really wanted to give this place a chance, especially being a new pizza joint in a neighborhood that could use more fast take out options for the whole family. I felt so bad that the staff was squeezed and clearly trying their hardest to keep up with orders, but we ordered ahead (around 5pm) and scheduled for a 6:15pm pick up time. Turns out they never limited their online ordering system so the order estimate was completely wrong and they were way underwater. They were slammed with take out and delivery and couldn't keep up with demand. We ended up waiting an hour inside the the restaurant with about 10 other people (everyone with masks and standing apart, but was certainly way too long for me if I could avoid it). Finally got our pizza at 7:15. It was just a plain cheese pizza so it seemed hard to believe it would take very long. All of the staff seemed new and a bit panicked, which I totally get, but all of us were standing around without any real direction or clear announcement of what was going on. They just opened a couple days ago so it seems they have a lot more issues to work out. All of that would have been super worth it if the pizza was out of this this world. However, the pizza was just okay, couldn't complain, but also nothing really different or surprising either.

Nice establishment and very nice staff. Enjoyed the conversation and learning the history of the building. Food was delicious and easy to reheat with same freshness. Check them out!!

Papa John's and Dominos is better than here, and a heck of less expensive. The pizza is a cross between cheese and cardboard- even when it's fresh. The large pizza is super small too (14" even though website says 18"). I wish I could have something positive about the pizza but the salad is good here. Pros- None Cons- Size Price Taste No freshness Crust Cheese Toppings Personally would just recommend on of the many other pizza shops In the area. If you absolutely are going to go, you have been warned.

Was visiting from Philadelphia when we decided to stop here for a bite to eat and I gotta tell you it was absolutely amazing!! The minute we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile, fantastic service and the food was incredible!! Highly recommended you won't be disappointed

Just had a dinner there today- WOW! What a place. I stopped by for a quick pick-me-up and discovered just how satisfyingly delicious Extreme Pizza just is! I ordered a meatball sub, and the staff were very amiable, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the restaurant itself was clean and very family-friendly. A truly awesome dining experience- definitely going there again, and bringing the kids!

Never disappointed when I come here. Pizza is always good. Service has always been quick even at different locations. Pizza is bigger and better than the standard typical big chain pizzas shops in the area

I can't comment on the food because I cancelled the delivery. I had terrible phone service because the mgmt thought it was a good idea to have a new employee, inexperienced and really slow, taking orders on a Sunday at dinner time (and Oscar Night!) I give newby's a break and I really was looking forward to a new place but the process was WAY too much work. And the website did not help - that's why I phoned - how do you get a half cheese half pepperoni? I will try again, but not until they get the front of the house in order.
