One of the worst overpriced, supposedly 4-star dumps I've ever stayed in.
I paid $260/night!!!
It's an aging complex in a noisy industrial neighborhood, so soundproof that you can hear the other guests above you stomping around before you go to sleep, and the room had no ventilation or air conditioning, so the air was extremely dry and stuffy!
The only way to get some fresh air, but also to hear car and truck noise throughout the night, thus causing a sleepless night, is to open the small window, but only in the first position; it's the only way!
The room itself is very small and cramped, the mattresses are worn out and dirty, and there's only one heater in the room, by the window. In the bathroom, which has no real door, nor a shower door or curtain, the water runs all over the bathroom when you shower!
The sink is also clogged and doesn't drain properly, one of the window stays is broken, and the toilet paper holder is also bent!! Definitely worse than in Hungary, and for such an exorbitant price! Stay away!!
Plus, the bathroom/toilet/floor is freezing cold, and there's no heating at all!
All for $260/night! No breakfast or dinner, just a loud and very restless night of horror! Thanks.
PS: Even the stairs are broken, as some of the tiles are broken!
What a dump and a disgrace for the Danish Guldsmeden Hotels group run by Sandra and Marc Weinert!
