7 New Restaurants Leading Miami’s Breakfast Renaissance - Miami - The Infatuation

"Èze is a French bistro on Miracle Mile that’s great for a lengthy sit-down breakfast involving lots of butter, eggs, and coffee. This is not a place to nibble on granola. You should opt for the heavier dishes like the croque madame. They also make spongy brioche french toast you should order for the table (even if the table is just you and a book). Even though the menu screams bistro, the huge space doesn’t. There’s enough space for a family carrying a tandem stroller and a golden doodle. If your doodle isn’t great in crowds, Èze also works for a croissant and cappuccino to go." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino

Came here for an early weekday breakfast after passing by one day after the Coral Gables farmer market. The food was exceptional, the spinach goat cheese quiche was my favorite. The pastries as well were some of the best I’ve had here in Miami. To top it off the service was amazing, our server was so welcoming and attentive! We will definitely be back!

Google
Everything fantastic. Good ingredients. My only criticism is the service. We went at a time that wasn’t busy and our server (who I think is also the manager/owner) forgot our wine which we wanted to enjoy before getting our appetizers. Not a big deal. But these simple little things make a difference. Other than that, food was delicious. Favorites were the pear salad and their fries are the skinny thin ones which is a TRUE French fry.

Went to Eze Bistro today for breakfast. Really nice people and relaxing atmosphere. I had the eggs and a croissant with an americano. Hit the spot! Got 2 of the chocolate chip cookies for the twins and they loved them. Recommend to visit!

Great place to grab some bistro style French food. Service was very friendly (we had some rowdy kids ) and accommodating. The salmon tartare was delicious. Will be back soon

Google
Great new location in Coral Gables. I have come several times now and it’s easily becoming a favorite. Menu may seem simple, but the food quality and execution is always consistent and delicious. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. Great place to eat and relax for a bit. They also have wifi if you want to work while you eat.

Google
Great addition to Coral Gables for breakfast or lunch. The place is understated, but great quality food and coffee and a pretty reasonable price too. Their avocado tartine is a must try if you go, very satisfying!

Google
Wow!! My kids and I had brunch here and we loved it!! The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was flaky and not too buttery, and the french fries were amazing! The OJ and tartine with butter and jam were fresh and so tasty. The server was friendly and attentive, and I loved the casual family atmosphere. Prices were reasonable for Coral Gables too. I look forward to coming back here!

The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was prompt and efficient. The atmosphere was clean, relaxing, and quiet - the perfect spot to start my morning before heading to work. I highly recommend it! ❤️

Yelp
The combination of authentic and is the perfect way to describe this cafe! Quiet enough to open a good read while enjoying a French original bite. Come comfy or dress to impress its fitting for all guest. Service was A1 to say the least. We indulged in their French onion soup which can easily be listed as my top 3 locally. Steak frites needs a sentence all in its own...cooked to its desired doneness, perfectly seated, tender and topped with a simple yet fitting compound butter. Do yourself the favor and done miss this dish. The chicken Sandwich is exactly what I'd expect if I'm looking for a traditional yet simple warm combo. And for the second star of the show the crème brûlée was incredible and we HAD to walk away with the chocolate and meringue cake (a mustttt). Look forward to coming back and easily your local spot to find regulars.

Yelp
Lovely French cafe right on Miracle Mile. Beautiful decor, clean and bright. French music played quietly overhead. We had the poached eggs with ham and hollandaise, they were good but the ham was cold. The server said it's served cold but they warmed it up for me, just took a few minutes. The hollandaise was also pretty bland. Wouldn't reorder. We also had the French toast which was very good. The fruit was fresh. The cappuccino was frothy and perfect. Service was good. Everything was a bit pricey but that's to be expected these days. Location was great but parking can be a challenge. Good overall.

Yelp
Where do I begin with my love letter to Tartine?! I discovered it after a pilates class and popped in for a coffee. I had just gotten back from a trip to Paris and was missing my daily cafe au lait and croissants while people watching in a serious way. The two folks at the register were soooo cute and told me this was a family owned business with French owners. I think it was at this moment my obsession began. Since that Wednesday, I have visited for coffee and breakfast almost every week. The owner, Marwan, is always cheery and like everyone who works here - really makes sure the guests are having a nice experience. I have gotten their scrambled eggs for breakfast as well as an assortment of pastries and you can tell they know what they are doing. For those who like to find a cafe to cowork - this is the perfect spot as there are outlets across the wall of high top tables. I must visit for lunch, but I am hooked on my Wednesday morning Tartine routine! If you haven't been, do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Yelp
This lovely little spot located in Miracle Mile was highly recommended by a friend of mine so whom i trust when it comes to good food... and as always she did not disappoint! I visited Tartine Bakery today for a post workout bite and enjoyed everything i tried -- but the best part of it all was the warm and welcoming service. I went in for an iced espresso and avo tartine and ended up trying their chocolate chip cookie, these little puffs that im now obsessed with and a honey, butter toast which was something i had never tried before but am now a #1 fan of. The spot is bigger than i expected -- perfect for a cowork and chill kind of day. With spots to charge your laptop, hang out alone or with a group of friends. The team helped my indecisive self choose the perfect tartine while having us try bites they thought we'd enjoy, im so happy they did that because i probably would have never tried the roast or the puff, but now they're my new favorite things. Lastly, i need to shoutout whoever makes those chocolate chip cookies because WOWZA. Pro tip: ask them to heat it up just a little and enjoy with your espresso, it's the best cookie I've had in a while. Crisp from the corners, gooey and a tiny bit undercooked inside, just how i like it! Cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
Sweet, spacious, serene! The perfect resting place between stops in the "real world." The cappuccino was a frothy pillow of warm airy milk atop the nicely drawn espresso. The brioche French toast was the best I've ever had, and I know French toast:) Run, don't walk and when you get here, enjoy!

Yelp
Cute place on the mile. Food was pretty good, the eggs Benedict came out cold so we sent it back to get heated up and it took a while to come back. The French toast was tasty and a good portion. My espresso was excellent, and my mom's coffee was good too, she just asked for it to come with the meal and it came out right after she ordered it. Staff was very nice, and we liked the French sounding music playing. Did seem a bit pricey though.

Yelp
10/10! Classic and easy French cuisine. The services was on the relaxed side (which is great for a leisurely lunch, if you're in a rush, get the bill when your food comes out). The croissants were fresh, the onion soup was amazing, the BURGER.... FANTASTIC BURGER!!! Highly recommend the burger, the croques. Everything was fantastic! Can't wait to go again!

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick coffee and found myself in French bakery heaven! I had a delicious perfectly lightly foamed latte and the owner suggested I try their new creation: honey butter toast. A perfectly moist, buttery, and sweet croissant-like brioche toast. So so good! They are currently open for breakfast and lunch and will be opening for dinner soon. It turns out that he actually serves the recipe of my favorite vegetable soup from another French cafe his family owned and I used to visit. I'll be back soon for it. Thanks for the hospitality and delicious afternoon treats.

Yelp
Finally a go to brunch and lunch spot where everything is a solid choice! Great quiche, eggs Benedict, the perfect fries, awesome burger and quality sweets. Don't forget the French toast. Service is a 10 and for the first time in a while for a Miami native relief when the bill comes.

Yelp
Very beautiful interior design. The staff are exceptional and took very good care of us at our table. We personally like that they had service to tables or a to go option. Each bakery items were perfectly made. The croissants were EXCELLENT and breakfast items come with one in the order. The omelette was delicious. Lastly, the coffee actually comes in a dish and not paper.

Yelp
Eze Bistro 366 Miracle Mile Coral Gables, FL 33134 This bakery and bistro used to be called, "Tartine" but it has been renamed, "Eze", after a seaside commune in the department of Alpes-Maritimes in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d' Azur region on the French Riviera. I was looking for a sweet treat to buy for my family when I strolled by this establishment and decided to walk into it. I saw 6 large chocolate chip cookies on display and asked to buy all of them. My mom and son polished off the cookies really quickly so I only got to eat one. They declared that those were the best chocolate chip cookies they had ever eaten and described them as "silky smooth and chocolatey"! I came back another time and someone else had discovered how good those cookies were since they were all sold out. I now know to go earlier in the day to buy those cookies rather than to go by in the afternoon. They have other delicious goods like cinnamon rolls, butter croissants, almond croissants, cinnamon rolls, bread pudding, cream puffs, creme brûlée and chocolate mousse cake. For Thanksgiving 2024, I ordered cream puffs topped with chocolate for my family. Marwan, the nice Moroccan-French owner, took my order and ensured that I could collect those sweet treats the day before Thanksgiving since they would be closed for Thanksgiving. Wow! The chocolate-topped cream puffs were absolutely delicious! Thanks, Marwan! I will be back to get more of your delicious desserts! I need to find out what savory food you serve as well.

Yelp
I went to Tartine this morning with my dear friend. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and she ordered three eggs fried for breakfast. The eggs in my breakfast croissant sandwich were unbelievably fluffy, and the flavor was amazing! My friend loved her breakfast as well. I look forward to returning to Gables soon as I live in California, and the next time we are going to visit Tartine for another yummy breakfast! I give this place five + stars!!!

Mimi R.

Yelp
My go to spot!! Love the food, service, and atmosphere!! The restaurant is family owned and operated and you feel like part of the family while you're there! The goat cheese salad is divine!! The steak frites it my current favorite! And make sure to finish your meal with one of Tartine's AMAZING chocolate chip cookies!!

Nat S.

Yelp
Amazing place, we randomly walked in after landing in Miami and absolutely everything was amazing. Omelet, tuna sandwich and pastries!!! Highly recommended to stop by!

Yelp
The location is of course on prime real estate and therefore overpriced. We were a group of 5. We arrived and the rest of our party was already at the table. The staff were very friendly and the service was very good. We got to ordering and the prices were a bit outrageous for what you get. There was truly no value for your money. Everyone did enjoy their food but my main issue is what you pay vs what you get. If you're going to sell a bacon egg and cheese croissant with fruit and you bring out 3 tiny slices of banana and half a strawberry Id rather the fruit just not be there. Eggs Benedict way overpriced and not one side to go with it. And the worse one was the shoe string fries at $7 and a tiny portion as well. I get it, patrons have to pay your rent on Miracle mile but when you go eat you expect the meal to fill you and this spot just didn't do it. With a breakfast for 5 coming in at $130 we will certainly not be returning. My 3 stars are exclusively for price and portions.

Yelp
This is probably the best French bistro in Coral Gables and I have been to them all. The croissants are always fresh and perfect. The breakfast sandwich on a croissant is excellent with crispy bacon, egg, and cheese. The cream puffs are to die for. Coffee is excellent. Go by today.

Yelp
Happened to go in here out of curiosity because my friend said they were open and I said no, that was once a so so spot that closed a long time ago. I am so happy we went in because it turned into a very unexpected, ultra pleasant early dinner. A knowledgeable gentleman gave his recs and they didn't disappoint...nor did his stellar service of our outdoor table and an indoor table the kids claimed. Adults and kids had a fantastic time. A double order of snails was had by my child because the first round was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken sandwich. I let the server pick and was surprised at how simple but delicious the sandwich was. Can't wait to try more of the menu. We will definitely be returning for the food and service! Thank you so much!

Julie W.

Yelp
Everything is excellent! I'm so happy they opened this location - owners previously operated Le Parc at Coral Gables Country Club. Super cute place

Albert S.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Here's a rundown by dining occasion. If you visit during breakfast, the "Breakfast Sandwich" is the bomb. If you go for lunch, the chicken sandwich and the burger are delicious ... and make sure you order them with the amazing shoestring fries. For the escargot lovers out there, there's none better! And if you're celebrating a birthday, pre-order the beautiful and delectable Concord Cake (a chocolate cake with chocolate shavings and a side of crème anglaise). Finally, the service is always on point and the owners are always present. It's gratifying to support a well-run and appreciative small business. Bravo!

Yelp
Tartine is exquisite, in not only quality of the food food, atmosphere, but service as well. All staff were so kind. We came on Father's Day and had cappuccino, poached eggs, French toast, croissants, bread pudding and crème brûlée. It was all excellent! I highly recommend, and prices are very reasonable!
