Dub N Grub Serves Some of Miami's Favorite Vegan Caribbean Food | Bon Appétit

"A busy West Indian grocer in the same strip mall that stocks a wide mélange of Caribbean ingredients — from strongback herb for tea to dasheen (taro) for pudding — making it a go-to source for home cooks recreating classic Jamaican recipes; the spot also contributes to a festive weekend atmosphere when reggae blares from an outdoor sound system." - ByDinkinish O'Connor

I’ve been coming here since 2019. I have moved to several different states since then but come here each time I’m in town. I recently came back to get groceries for a cross country trip. The Ackee, salt fish, snapper, Calaloo, coconuts, sprat, scotch bonnet and yellow yam made their way to Salt Lake City Utah from Miami. The 3lbs of goat didn’t make it, I ate it before I left town.

Love this place, has a lot of stuff you can't find in a mainstream grocery store. I prefer family owned unique places like this. I was able to find guanabana leaves (soursop/graviola) to add to my tea, which is good for a ton of heath issues. It was a happy accident to find this little gem full of wonderful supplies for optimal health! They even carry the exact same black seed oil I take. I have a hard time remembering names of unique places but word association helps and the F A & M stands for a FAMily run store in my head. Hope that helps anyone else remember it that also has trouble like me lol. Making a trip here Friday with a close friend I told about it. It's quite the hike for us both, but my friend and I are both having health issues that need tackled. So, we are coming here before we go to my favorite family run supplements shop on Saturday. This will tremendously help with our budgets too by buying here prior to doing that. The people are nice and helpful and friendly. Nothing fancy just a great place, way better than the corporate stores. Do your best to pay with cash please. Little places like these lose a lot of money paying 3% and more, cash keeps them thriving. 💯

Loved visiting this little Mom & Pop. Got butter beans, turmeric, Jamaican spice mix, chicken and steaks. They had the best looking chicken I’ve seen in a long time and the steaks were precision cut. They also gave me a bag of ice to keep the chicken and steaks in for my 30min drive back.

My favorite Jamaican grocery store. I moved away, but still make it down to Miami on a Saturday morning.

Butcher was not friendly. Actually he was rude. I never brought meat from here before. I have been in the store several times. All employees are usually pleasant. But the senior dark brown butcher with the mustache and glasses was extremely rude. Please look into this.

Best Jamaican grocery store in this part of town! Get your ground provisions such as yams, cassava (yuca), green bananas and green leafy vegetables such as callaloo! Nice, fresh and fairly priced (better than Publix). Get your oxtails, cowfoot, goat meat, chicken, fresh fish and salted cod fish also! Caribbean seasonings, tea, avocados, bread, cassava, and my favorite--- roasted breadfruit packaged to go!! You name it they've got it. Friendly service and really nice, down to earth proprietors and customers.

Yelp
Finally I have found my spot. This reminds me of being back at home in New York. They have all the staples of a Jamaican home. The meat market is superb. Yes the prices are a little high but I'm willing to spend a little bit more for good meat. The Oxtails are cut like they're supposed to be not thick and huge. The produce section is kind of small but they still offer what you need in a typical Jamaican home. You can find your ground provisions and just about anything else you're looking for. They also have some Hardo bread but I don't know how fresh it is. They offer various spices herbs and teas . It's just a place that you need to check out. There's ample parking outside.
