F1 Arcade Philadelphia - Review - Midtown Village - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"A  glowing bar, neon lights, and countless people pretending to be Lewis Hamilton. That’s what you can expect at F1 Arcade Bar inMidtown Village. The massive, sleek arcade has one game—racecar simulators for every skill level, plus drinks with names like Welcome to Miami and Victory Lap. There are multiple sections for group seating and tons of TVs, making it a useful place to celebrate a boozy birthday or bump your manager into last place while watching a game. Take a pit stop for the crispy crab fitters and sweet sausage flatbread, and relish in the fact that the PPA can’t ticket you here." - Candis R. McLean

Stephanie greeted us at the door and she helped us with getting situated with the arcade portion of our experience. Upon seating, we were seated for about 10 minutes before receiving service (there was a big party that came in before us) but Jay and Chanel were very helpful with getting us taken care of. Brandon was our server and he was very personable. We ordered the dynamite fried chicken and the old bay fries. Both were delicious! I do wish they had wings though. Amazing customer service all in all.

Really fun place! All of the staff was super nice, from the bartender to the host, to the shift manager. The young lady that did the overview of how the F1 simulator worked was on point! Definitely worth checking it out.

This was my first time going to F1- arcade. I thought the food was pretty good considering it’s bar food. The drinks were good as well. I was shocked that there was a Happy Hour on a Saturday. So that was a plus! I’d say this place is really fun if you’re going with a group. We did a cousins night with about 7-8 people and it made it fun to compete. Parking was cool using Park mobile.

First time at the F1 Arcade in Philly and had an amazing experience, since the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Vibe is amazing, drinks spectacular and the food, even though we only had appetizers, were on another level. Bartenders Alejandro and Mike greeted us and treated us like family. Will definitely be back! 🌟

Such an immersive racing experience! Our 45min reservation was good for about 5 races and we stayed to enjoy the food and drinks. Jay, our server, was beyond attentive and personable! He served us some drinks (on him), made sure to keeps our drinks refilled, and food delivered promptly. Can’t wait to go back!

I took my two boys to the new F1 Race Center in Philadelphia and we had a great experience. The facility is really nice, very clean, and well maintained. The staff are attentive and quick to help if you run into any technical issues. One thing to note: when setting up your account before playing, you only have about two minutes before the racing tutorial starts. If you want your account to reflect your name and track your progress and points, you need to move fast. My two sons didn’t have phones with them, so I had to log in and out to set each of us up, which was a bit time consuming. It’s not required to make accounts, but I thought it was worth it for the fun of tracking scores and progress. The racing itself was enjoyable but definitely challenging. My youngest had some difficulty reaching the pedals, which made it tough for him. We chose the 5 race pack for three people, which took us just under an hour. It was fun, engaging, and a good challenge for all of us. That said, it is a little pricey for a family outing, just over $100 for three of us, and that was without buying any food or snacks. My boys were also a little discouraged since even the beginner level is harder than it looks, but overall we’d go back again. Great facility and a unique experience for families who enjoy racing games.

ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT TEXAS GP So my first problem was that we either came when the staff were in the middle of a meeting, or their understaffed. We were waiting in line with no one at the front for a while meaning at least 15 minutes or more. And then by the time our race started they threw us right into it. We had no time to gain our bearing entering this place. It was our first time and we're trying to take it all in but they just put us in a car and made it start racing. We didn't have enough time to create our profile within the system. I had my profile already premade but they did not tell me that I could not choose my car. And I couldn't choose my car so I was riding around in a car that I didn't want to ride in. Because of staff weren't there at the front entrance, it bled into understanding how this whole thing worked before our first race started. And then we didn't have any time in between races to get a drink or to ask more questions about how to change anything. And we did five races too. So it was very much a letdown all five races because I was racing in a car that I didn't want to race in and my friend didn't have enough time to create her profile. Once the races were over and we could sit down and watch qualifying for real, it was great. Besides the staff still taking a little bit longer to reach us and see if we were good. The food was good. The atmosphere is really nice. They just need to add more TVs for either the races or for other big games that are going on in the sports world. But to me there wasn't enough TVs showing qualifying. So final thoughts. There is a lot for improvement. The staff was either understaffed or overwhelmed. There needs to be time for players and racers to update their profile or allow them to choose the car that they want to race in. You can't tell me some of my favorite teams in the app, but then have me only racing in one of those cars. Especially if I have multiple teams that I like.

Welp another gimmick enters the Philadelphia area and doesn’t understand the Philadelphia culture. We went on opening night so the staff was working out their quirks but some things seem like they are foundational problems rather than first day jitters. For one, the bartenders take 15 minutes to make the cocktail from the time you order it. I order the Miami margarita which was good but not $18 and half filled good. Once she finished making it she ran around the bar frantically looking for the garnish and when I told her I really didn’t need it she replied “I have to sorry”. This added another 5 minutes. Our reservation was pushed back 40 minutes due to a larger party that was there. Felt like I was trapped to order another wildly expensive cocktail… my partner switched to beer .. which was warm. The racing simulators are very cool however! I really enjoyed the games and they are reasonably priced but our machine didn’t have sound for some reason. Overall, glad I got to experience it but truly don’t see myself returning. While waiting for 20 minutes at the bar 3 different strangers approached me and said “I give them 3-6 months”.
