The 15 Best BBQ Spots In Kansas City, Ranked - Kansas City - The Infatuation

"There’s a lot to check out across the river in North Kansas City, the highlight being F325. It’s one of the newer BBQ joints on the scene, but they’ve done their homework: their three-meat plate gives you tender burnt ends and some well-spiced homemade kielbasa that come with two sides for $26.50. If you’re less hungry, visit Cinder Block Brewery right next door—you can have food sent over from F325 if you start craving a brisket burger or their amazing fried pickles while sipping a beer or cider." - ryan bernsten

The 22 Best Restaurants In Kansas City, Missouri 2024 - Kansas City - The Infatuation

"Head across the river to North Kansas City where you’ll find a cute downtown full of distilleries, breweries, and the pickleball court and bar Chicken N Pickle. There’s a lot to check out, but make your first stop at F325. It’s one of the newer BBQ joints on the scene, but they’ve done their homework: their three-meat plate gives you tender burnt ends, fall-off-the-bone ribs, and really well-spiced homemade kielbasa with two sides for $22. If you’re less hungry, visit Cinder Block Brewery right next door—you can have food sent over from F325 if you start craving their amazing fried pickles while sipping a beer or cider." - Ryan Bernsten

The waitress was amazing, very welcoming and informative about the establishment. Started with drinks that were simply delightful. Food came out incredibly quick and was so delicious. We did a starter of candied bacon and I can not say enough good things. Then the Mac and cheese was to die for. We left no crumbs. We will be back, also super plus they have beer for a meat option in case someone doesn’t like pork!

Google
The burnt-ends were perfectly unctuous, damn near luxurious and a 8.9 out of 10. If pickles were served with the burnt-ends, they'd be a solid 9.4. Ribs were overdone and damn near pasty. Terrible. Lacked savory seasoning too. That hurts because I believe they should be stearing the ship. Mac was a, "slow-burn" to achieve the "good" label. Slaw was nominal. A little vinegar and its absolutely delicious. Corn muffin was trash. Sauces were trash. A decent experience overall because the burnt-ends were great!

We came on a Thursday night. It was our first visit here, so we were looking over the menu. Waitress came back a couple times, but we hadn’t decided yet. Finally, we order and she tells us they’re out of brisket. Okayyy would have been nice to know that from the beginning or the 2 times you came back but whatever. We decided on burnt ends and ribs. And I had to try the mac n cheese, read good reviews and I get it everywhere I go. Food comes out. We notice we didn’t get the cornbread muffins and tell the waitress, she says oh I’m sorry we’re out of those. Lol really?? After an akward silence and stare, she says I can get you a few more burnt ends. Ok yeah sure. The ribs were good. Everything else sucked. None of the sides were good, the mac was a weird flavor and just didn’t taste right. The burnt ends were super dry. And good thing we didn’t really care for it cause she sure didn’t come back with anything. Like at all. We had to wave down the other waitress to get our check and again to pay. I talked about coming here since they opened and was so disappointed, especially for $100 ☹️

Google
It is the best burnt ends/ burnt end sandwich I've ever had. I ordered the sweet potato casserole and it was very good, the chef must have heard me talking about how much I like collard greens because he sent me a sample of them with my order and they were excellent as well. However, our favorite side dish was the steak fries! They're cooked Golden brown crispy and generously seasoned with the rub. I've prob never reviewed fries, but these were top 3 fries I've ever ate. 10/10 will return for lunch or dinner.

Robert Davis

Google
The best burnt ends and sides. Burnt ends were very tender with great tasting bark. Really good juicy turkey with a nice flavorful rub. We tried the cole slaw, kielbasa, elote/corn with parmigian cheese, baked beans, sweet potatoes, and the collard greens. Hard to pick a favorite because they were all so good. I was hungry upon entering. I sampled my burnt ends and turkey, but I ate all my sides and was full. I brought the meat home for lunch the next day. GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY!! I wish I lived here and could eat here regularly.

Chris Daley

Google
Omg some of the best burnt ends I've ever had I had here! They were crispy outside and soft on the inside. The color greens are so delicious! Even all the sides you can't go wrong with. Our server MJ was absolutely amazing! She was so helpful at picking out even the sides. They have a great place out and back to sit and enjoy on a nice sunny day. If you are in North Kansas City this is a place you need to try!

Google
I came to KC for the BBQ. F325 did not disappoint. Everything from the ham to sausage, brisket to ribs and,of course, burnt ends. I tried both sides of the river over 4 days, and F325 was one of the best. I'll even say better than Slap's on the Kansas side. Now, add the service, the drinks and the atmosphere, and I'll tell you the reason I'll come back to KC, and F325 is on the top of my list.

Google
Stopped in for lunch while on business. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Owner was out serving plates and pouring beers. Their custom craft beers were out of the world. The pineapple cider sounded odd but was amazing. The food was also perfect. The burnt tips and homemade smoked kielbasa was my favorites. Wish I had more time to try everything. Will be back! Thanks Bob!

Yelp
There are many breweries in KCMO and there are many BBQeries in KCMO...but there aren't many of these 'eries that are within walking distance of each other. This is one of those exceptions! I went to F325 BBQ first, then walked a few blocks to Cinder Block Brewing. F325 served up some of the best BBQ I had in KCMO, and definitely had the least touristy vibe of the spots I (a tourist) visited. I visited pretty late so, like all good BBQ joints, they were out of a lot of stuff. (as they should be). However, the server was really great at communicating what they did and did not have. The bar area was pretty nice with a decent selection of taps, most of them local.

Yelp
Solid bbq place. I came here around 6pm on a Friday night and it wasn't as busy as I thought it'd be, but people ate fast so tables turned quickly and new people replaced them. Clientele seemed to be lots of families, older couples, younger couples... I ordered an unsweetened iced tea and burnt ends sandwich. Each sandwich comes with your choice of a side. My server Liv said the Mac n cheese was the most popular after I asked and it was delicious. She was very friendly and helpful, checking in multiple times. The sandwich was good--it didn't look large, but packed a punch. Burnt ends could've had more flavor but the meat was still good. The bar looks popping--they were playing a Jayhawks basketball game. They also have some nice outdoor seating. Cool location in north KC close to a few breweries and distilleries.

Yelp
Wonderful place to get some really, really tasty BBQ! I got the pick two meal. So I ordered burnt ends and brisket, with sweet potato casserole and salad for sides. It comes with a mini cornbread muffin... and when they say mini, they mean it. See if you can spot it in my photo. It's super tiny. LOL They should probably serve two since they're that small. The bacon appetizer was good. I thought it could have had more brown sugar caramelization, but it was still good. All the BBQ meat was smoky, delicious, and just melted in your mouth! Just what you want and expect. I had their sweet and spicy sauce for a little dipping on the side, and it was pretty good. The sweet potato casserole was goodness in a bowl - sweet, creamy, and topped in streusel! Salad came on this tiny tray - why they serve it that impractical way, I have no idea. It wanted to fall off the tray as I tried to eat it. So, I moved it to an appetizer plate. Inside was nice, a smaller seating area. I imagine it fills up quick during meal rush peak time, or on a busy night. The server was very friendly; gave some wonderful recommendations, talking over some of the options with us to help us choose; and gave great service! Knocking off one star for the tiny corn muffin, the ill plated salad, and good but not great bacon. I'd go back though. The BBQ meat is seriously legit.

Yelp
Pretty good brisket. It's not very flavorful but it's quality meat. I wish there was more of a unique flavor profile. The meat was well cooked, the location was fine, and staff was great. I would give it a 4 star rating but there is a lack of taste, but I liked the meat very much. A place you'll have to use BBQ sauce for more flavor I suppose.

Yelp
BEST BURNT ENDS AND TURKEY IN THE METRO....hands down! Stopped in while passing through NKC. Had a GREAT experience last month when I was through there and tried it for the first time so definitely wanted to get more. I ordered a slab of ribs, the three meat plate with Burnt Ends, turkey and brisket, the smoked turkey club sandwich , fried pickles, sweet potato casserole, baked beans, and french fries.. This is for me to feast upon all day long, (yeah I'm chubby and definitely go all in for good BBQ). I was their first customer in at 11 o'clock and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. I made my order and then had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, James. He's a very cool guy with a competition barbecue background. He definitely knows what he is doing! My order came out and I navigated through the nightmarish midday I35 traffic to my house. Good God this is consistently good stuff. Normally, I would think a restaurant wants to get rid of the leftover "yesterday's "food they didn't sell as soon as possible like on the next shift. Well, I don't know if that occurs here or not but, if it did then it's a testament to their cooking because the food was fresh, juicy, and tasted like it just came off the smoker. I had not had the smoked turkey club before so I ordered it. It was very, very good! I took bites of the burnt ends, french fries, turkey and sweet potato casserole and will leave the rest to feast on in a few more hours and throughout the evening while sipping on some incredible bourbon. This place definitely deserves more credit and attention than it is given. I would really love to see one of these open up out here in Johnson County as we need more than what's here. It would really up the game in the barbecue market here. Oh.... They have a pretty good bourbon selection too. I did not partake though as 11 AM is a bit early for me. DONT PASS THIS PLACE UP! PO

Yelp
We drove by while in the area, and decided to stop in and try their barbecue. One of the owners served us and she was very nice and helpful and explained the menu and their sauces since we had never been there before. She continued to be excellent in her service. The restaurant is casual and comfortable and very clean. The portions are generous, and the ribs were quite meaty and large. My husband and I both got the same meal which was the rib plate entrée. This particular entrée came with two sides, and we both had the coleslaw and side salad and small corn muffin. The salad was fresh, and the coleslaw was some of the best I've ever had at any restaurant. The ribs were moist and had lots of meat on them. They have two sauces and one is more sweet, which is their traditional sauce and the other one is spicy which we did not try. We both liked their traditional sauce. She also had brought out a sample of beef burnt ends for us to try and they were very moist. I appreciated that the menu had gluten-free options. Even though some of the meat did not say gluten-free and I asked just to be safe, it was gluten-free on the ribs that I chose. The prices are typical of a barbecue restaurant. We would definitely go back!

Yelp
We stopped in at F325 after a stop at rewind video dive bar and it was around 8:15pm on a Friday night. Since I'm from Texas, its not unusual for good bbq places to be out of certain items but it was a bit surprising and dissapointing those items were not listed somewhere to make you aware. We tried ordering burnt ends, pulled pork and mac and cheese and they were out of all 3 lol so we pivoted and got the kielbasa and ribs with collard greens and pickle chips and shared everything. I tried ordering a KC dunkel and they were out of that too but at that point, our waitress felt bad and comped my drink which was appreciated. The meats we had were really good as were the collard greens but the corn seemed to be missing something. They had a pretty broad bourbon selection but not a menu for it which is weird and makes it hard to order...like, I don't want to ask the waitress what the prices are for a bunch of stuff and its also hard to see what all they have if you're not at the bar. The food was pretty good, service was really good considering she had to deal with them being out of everything, and overall, not a bad experience but I feel like we need to try it again when they have most of their highly touted items.

Yelp
We showed up around 7 on a Friday night and ordered apps, but then our server let us know the kitchen wasn't taking any new orders for 10-15 minutes. Not ideal, but okay, things happen. Then came the curveballs. No Alabama wings. No ribs. No pulled pork... but somehow they were able to sub pulled pork with ribs later? Make it make sense. What we actually ended up with: Buffalo wings: Supposed to be lightly smoked and deep-fried. Honestly? They tasted like neither. No smoke, no crisp. Just kind of there. The bacon appetizer was good. The Burnt ends: Really solid. Crispy edges, juicy inside, nice flavor--definitely the best bite of the night. Brisket: Super tender, but fell flat on flavor. Needed more seasoning or smoke. Ribs (the magical reappearance): The ribs were okay they weren't too bad. I would order them again. Jackfruit: Texture was mushy and the aftertaste was weird. Probably a skip. Greens: Big ol' leaves, but had a good kick to them. I liked these. Beans: Texas-style, smoky, peppery. The service was friendly but clearly scrambling with the kitchen running out of half the menu. The vibe of the place is cool, and you can tell they want to be a top-tier BBQ joint--but right now, the execution just isn't there. Would I come back? Maybe, but for now, F325 feels like a place still getting it together.

Yelp
Let me tell you a story. A couple starts a competition barbecue team and wins a few awards. Then they start a food truck. And then they open a full service sit down restaurant. The happy ending is F325 BBQ in North Kansas City. One of the owners says the name isn't an accident. Most barbecue is cooked low and slow, but he cooks it hotter because he likes the flavor better. I'm not going to argue. The meat - especially the brisket - is exceptional. Sides are a-ok. Please bring your appetite because you won't go home hungry. A couple of notes: The restaurant fills up quickly, so feel free to call and reservation if you're wanting to visit during peak times - especially if you're going to have a large party. The outside patio is open Spring through Fall. Its entertainment schedule is posted on the restaurant's social medial pages.

Yelp
Went there for lunch. It's a really nice building with a nice feel inside. Looks like lots of outdoors seating with a stage area. The service was immediate, friendly, and attentive. Got our drinks and a few minutes to glance over the menu. I went with the Stockyard and a side of beans. The stockyard is a brisket sandwich with coleslaw. I covered it in the spicy sauce. It was a good combination. The meat was tender and flavorful. The coleslaw was not overpowering. The sauce had a good kick and flavor. The beans were decent. I thought maybe a little too much...chilly powder? Not sure that is what I was tasting. My coworker had a sandwich and fries. I tried a couple of fries. I thought they had too much garlic on them. My coworker disagreed with me. Overall a thumbs up after my first visit. I will be back to try some of the other items on the menu.

Yelp
Grabbed bbq here for lunch with friends one weekday. We got a table right away. I was expecting an order at the counter place, but you order from a server at your table. I got the one meat platter with Mac and cheese and coleslaw based on the recommendations of our server. I loved the coleslaw. I thought the burnt ends were a little dry, and I wasn't a huge fan of the Mac and cheese. My friend got fries and they were very good. Our server brought us a sample of the turkey and it was delicious! I would order that if I went again. Service was fantastic.

Lisa E.

Yelp
We stopped here for the first time. They have been open for only three years but you would think it was much longer as the BBQ is perfection! We had a three meat platter with burnt ends. The Burnt ends were the best I have ever had, just and beyond tender. They get the highest cuts of meat for all their proteins. Burnt ends are wagyu beef. The turkey was not over smoked and very juicy as well. You don't need any sauce but if you do, they are great as well!

Amber R.

Yelp
Hands down the BEST BBQ in KC. You must go check this place out if you haven't already. Chill place, the staff are super friendly, and the food is absolutely amazing!! Just had the Bar- B- Cuban, delicious. And can't go wrong with the Mac&Cheese and Sweet Potato Casserole!
google avatar

Yelp
I'd never heard of this restaurant and tried it on the basis of a review of "Top recommended BBQ restaurants" from a list (which I don't remember). The decor was modern and had a moderately upscale vibe. Food was tasty (had the two meat platter shared between two people). Although the price was a bit high for a BBQ restaurant, it's probably not out of line for the decor, and fortunately two of us could share one meal. The mini corn muffins were the least impressive part of the meal and I would definitely not suggest ordering a full appetizer order of it. Brisket and burnt ends were great choices for the two meat platter, but be warned that the burnt ends come with a $4 up charge.

Yelp
Another BBQ spot in KC? Yup, and F325 is a success story from the drop. A former competition BBQ entrant turned restaurant mainstay, this spot in NKC is serving up some sensational smoked meats & tasty sides. Pair those smoker skills with a full bar and F325 is rocking it in the Northland. I usually judge a BBQ spot on three things: brisket, beans, and their sauce. Sure, that's not everything that a BBQ spot is known for, but if you can execute your brisket, then the game is solid. F325 delivers *outstanding* burnt ends and brisket, juicy & falling apart, with a sensational bark on the outside. When married with their signature sauce, not too sweet and not too spicy, those beef morsels are an absolute treasure! I would put their burnt ends against anyone's - they're that good. Add in that F325 has a fairly focused menu, not too broad and zeroed in on their best offerings, and you can't miss with any order. F325's sides game is coming along nicely, with their beans and mac 'n cheese leading the way. I have also sampled their whiskey sweet potatoes and those are just sensational, mashed smooth and blended with just a touch of cinnamon & sugar - sinfully good! Sides can certainly make a BBQ meal and F325 does well at making a more unique set of offerings. Parking is fairly standard for NKC, and the place holds a generous amount of diners. At one point the owner had implemented a 'Whiskey Wednesdays' on certain rotations in a month, though call first if that's your jam. These folks KNOW their BBQ and obvs put a lot of pride into their brand. Definitely worth you checking it out.

Yelp
Service was great...servers very friendly. Rib plate with two meats was enough to share. We got ribs with burnt ends and turkey. Two sides...steak fries and mac and cheese. Ribs and turkey were ok ...burnt ends a bit fatty. Steak fries were good...specialty mac and cheese was not my thing and didn't finish. Sauces on the table were "ok". Beer was cold. Fun neighborhood vibe.

Yelp
Total package for a Friday evening! Stumbled upon this BBQ spot and had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners. She was very personable and gave a spill of the history of F325. She recommended the three meets and two sides..., we added two sides and F325 did not disappoint. The food was delicious the pork ribs were flavorful and the Burnt Ends and turkey was moist and tender. The sides were selected were coleslaw, collard greens, and sweet potato casserole and Mac & cheese. Delicious!!!! We topped it off with a margarita and corona. The Ambiance was inviting and perfect for a date night or girls night.

O A.

Yelp
Charged me $25 for pork ribs that were just $15 a about 3 years ago. When I bought up the fact that menus on both Google and yelp show the lower price bartender initially denied the price had ever been $15. Then when I showed him the menus he blamed inflation and refused to honor it. I don't know about you but my salary hasn't gone up 40%. Gave him the feedback that they should at least write "price subject to change" on the menu and he argued would me. Finally, side salad was served on a flat plate instead of a bowl so it paltry and small. Gave me a hard time when I asked for more. Bowl in picture is the new bowl after I my request.

Yelp
Strange for a BBQ spot in that the meat looks amazing and tender from photos, but didn't have a whole lot of flavor. It falls apart nicely, as if it's made in a slow-cooker -- just very little smokiness or depth even with the bark, so I had to add a good amount of sauce. I was a little disappointed in the service too -- they seemed to be chatting up locals at the bar quite a bit but were a little brusque when I ordered or asked questions.
google avatar

Shawn T.

Yelp
The meats have wonderful flavor. The fries were a little over seasoned. The mac and cheese might disappoint some based on portion size. Their bbq sauce, I didn't care for at all. Don't let that stop you though as we all have different tastes. Didn't need the sauce as the meat alone was that good. Waitress asked if we had questions and checked back often. Food was out in a decent amount of time for a Saturday night. The place has quite a bit of seating with both tables and booths, but I can still see them maxed at lunch and dinner rush. They take reservations but when you get there it says seat yourself so not sure how or why they have online reservations.

Yelp
Im hands down blown away with this place. Food, atmosphere, service, everything. Amazing!! Ive been to 3 other BBQ places here in KC, but this is my goto from now on. Price and quality are everything. Budget friendly and one of the owners came by my table. I was greeted and checked on but not overly done. You need to try it

Yelp
I've had BBQ all over the country as well as KC area by far best BBQ in KC that I have had. Sides were amazing meats were phenomenal they didn't miss on anything. Would highly recommend!!! I will be back any time I'm in the area

Yelp
Much love from California.... Best bbq I ever had..... I recommend to any nearby.... To the owner great staff and one request open up in California we need this establishment in our city.... 5star dinning. Low capacity makes great sense for quality.

Yelp
Wanted to try some new BBQ in KC and ended up at F325. NKC has a couple of good places for BBQ and this is one of them. The dining room is situated with tables and booths and there is extra seating upstairs. There are TVs in different places and college football games were showing for the evening. Vanessa took good care of our tables and my two meat platter with turkey and brisket was good. Try the sweet potato casserole which was excellent and the Mac and cheese. I'll be back again!

Yelp
Great little bbq joint with a great bar and very personable bartender (Caleb). Caleb was kind enough to chat with me for a while to tell me little bit of the history behind the F325 and his unique selection of liquor. Make sure to ask him about his 8 shot flight specials. During my visit he had selected Irish whiskies but from what I gather things change daily and often include bourbons or other selections. Food here is good. I got three meat plate with ribs, burnt ends and sliced brisket. The plate came with couple sides and a small cornbread muffin. Portions are a good size and the food tastes great. Stop by to check out this laid back bar / bbq restaurant and enjoy casual dining with full service.

Yelp
food was bland and dry mac and cheese had no taste burnt ends and steak fries were the best thing

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday evening after going to two other restaurants that were full. This place was also busy, but we were able to get a table for three right away. I got the brisket with Mac n cheese, steak fries, and a little ballmof cheese bread. The brisket was great, nice and juicy with thick pieces. The fried were kind of bland. The mac and cheese was good, but came in such small portions. The bbq itself was great tho.

Yelp
We ordered the portobello appetiser and I wouldn't order again. It was a bit al dente with a very hot sauce. Our dinner were much better. I had burnt ends and coleslaw which were both tasty. The hubs has collard greens and brisket sandwich which was also delicious. The live music was good , but was in competition with restaurant next door.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Great service, amazing BBQ and the inside is beautiful. We are just sorry that we didn't try this place sooner!

Mike H.

Yelp
Had a first class experinece on our BBQ tour, met the owner, sampled several items we didn't order and everything was top shelf! I am a beans nerd and their beans are fantastic, just the right amount of kick, sauce, extra meat, etc...absolutely loved them. Burnt ends, turkey, sausage and chicken wings were wonderful. Great spot with their own bar and Cinder Block next door. The best Saturday afternoon late lunch is going to Cinder Block and order from F325!!

Yelp
I found the closest establishment that I was near craving some KC bar b que. Traveling from St. Louis I was craving some good bar b que. My origins are Texas and will always be a brisket fan. Saw that F325 had brisket burnt ends on menu and knew that's what I had to had. The first bite i was godsmacked. What a surprise coming from one bite. Once I jazzed it up a bit with their spicy sauce boy this plate did not take long to get demolished. Nice decor and presentation will have myself coming back again when I'm in the area. Here is a pic of my empty plate because it was too damn good to stop and take a pic lol. Come visit.

Reginald B.

Yelp
The food was good. The service was very good and the ambience is great. My wife and I enjoyed our dinner. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a seat so try to get an Reservation or be prepared to wait.

Yelp
We came here to eat some bbq on a Saturday night. Parking can be tough in this area, but's there's definitely a lot going on this area. We were able to get seated right away and didn't have to wait too long for our food. The staff was very friendly the food for the most part was pretty good as well. My wife ordered their two meat plate with brisket and Burnt ends with a side of bbq beans and fries. I went with their rib plate with burnt ends and ordered mine with a side of Mac and cheese and their Whiskey Sweet Potato casserole. The food was really delicious, it just unfortunately came out lukewarm. I would have preferred the meat to have come out a little warmer. The burnt ends were not as tender and really fatty, but still tasted pretty delicious. The ribs were seasoned perfectly and very tender. The side were ok, with the sweet potato casserole being my favorite. I really liked the sweet crunchy topping and the hint of whiskey. Would order this again and again. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with our meal. I would definitely come again, but would try come other bbq joints before returning.

Yelp
I don't know a lot about Kansas City BBQ, I grew up in Texas so that is always best to me but I tried this place and the BBQ was delicious. But, if you like baked bbq beans, I've had BBQ in many many places and these were the BEST BBQ baked beans I've ever had. Give this place a try, you won't regret it, oh and try the beans!

Yelp
The food was awesome! It was our first time there. One of the owners brought us a sampler of their smoked turkey and 3 of the sides we didn't choose. The brisket was some of the best I've ever had.

Yelp
The ambiance on a Thursday night was quiet inside with a band playing outside. Service was very fast and the food was even quicker to come out. I ordered the Call a Doctor sandwich with Mac and cheese. Overall it was very good but I wish the side dishes were a little larger.

Yelp
F325 was incredibly welcoming and had a great ambiance! They have a cute indoor and outdoor seating area. The outdoor seating has a stage for performances as well. They mentioned live music on Fridays and Saturdays! One of the highlights was that they had gender neutral restrooms stocked with anything a person would need. Very accessible and helpful to all! Now the food was incredible! Bbq is subjective and I hear that, but I'm telling you these meats were made with love and care. If you like to eat your bbq without sauce you can definitely do that and these meats sing with flavor! However, they also have really good bbq sauces if you're a saucy human like myself. The sides were also incredible! I usually find it's one or the other but all of the food sang together perfectly. That Mac n cheese and collared greens is something g you must try. Flavor packed and tasty pairings!!! One of the owners came over to check on us and was so kind and personable. The staff really took care of us and the food came out at a great pace. Great pricing for top notch bbq too! You've got to try this place and bring some friends with you!

Yelp
Hey Kansas City! Are you looking for another BBQ spot to check out? If you have not tried F325 in North Kansas City, you must add this spot to your list to check out! We started our meal with the BBQ Loaded Tots appetizer and Kickin' Pickles. The whole table loved the appetizers! We also ordered some beverages from the bar. For my entree, I ordered the 1 meat and 2 side platter: pulled pork with coleslaw and macaroni & cheese. Other fan favorites included the ham, brisket, and burnt ends. I had the pleasure of eating F325 another evening at Cinder Block Brewery (this brewery teams up with F325 to serve their food in the building because they are within walking distance). F325 has a fun and inviting vibe right when you walk in. If you are looking for a new barbeque spot in Kansas City to check out, F325 is the place to go!

Yelp
The burnt ends here are stellar. Super juicy, fatty, and super duper well seasoned unlike others I've had in the city (and I've had them all being a KC native!) They're so juicy and flavorful without sauce even that they rival Jack Stack's except are a bit smaller. $16/half pound of burnt ends. The brisket was delicious too!

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing! Hands down best BBQ I've ever had. The service is as just as great. Our server Nate was the best! The owners even came out to talk to our family. This is a local family owned restaurant. The owner used to do competitive BBQing before opening up the restaurant. If you're looking for a small local amazing BBQ spot I would highly recommend this place. I'd give this place 10 's if I could!

Yelp
First off , I would give this place a 1000, if I could . BEST IN THE MIDWEST !! I've ran a bbq restaurant in Connecticut, for a very long time ! Blows my old place away ! I entered the building after driving 30 minutes into North Kansas City. Very impressed with the atmosphere , great bar , upstairs they have a small private area for dining. What a workout doing those stairs all night long . Immediately was greeted by the owner Lisa , I explained my friends will be arriving soon . She welcomed me n eventually my guests with open arms . Gave me a sample of burnt ends n coleslaw , let me say TO DIE FOR ... burnt ends truly melted in my mouth . My guests arrive the owner welcomed my guests n brought them to the table , where I had been waiting . We revived a sample of sweet potatoes , collards n Mac n cheese ... AGAIN ALL TO DIE FOR ... UPON ORDERING , we ordered a cocktail n it was very well made , totally enjoyed the tequila shot that was mentioned from the server . Very smooth as stated . We received our meals, It was Phenomenal !!! . Lisa was very pleasant, she brought us samples of the meat we hadn't tried. TASTE OF EVERYTHING .... Out of this world !! if you have not been to F325 barbecue you are truly missing out this place is a must try.

Yelp
We were driving thru Kansas City on a cross-country trip and due to unexpected interstate closures we decided to make the best of it and stop for some Kansas City Q. The universe opted to reward us for our patience and our roll-with-it attitude when we found the reviews of F325 BBQ. Easy, off street parking (which was a huge relief since we were towing a cargo trailer), well-lit and safe neighborhood. Initially unbeknownst to us, we were immediately greeted by the super friendly owner, Lisa, who immediately made us feel welcome. Something we weren't expecting deep in Chiefs' country when we were proudly sporting our Seahawks wardrobe. Nearly as inviting was the giant, well-appointed beautiful bar beckoning us to belly up to it. (picture included) She spent the exact right amount of time talking to us to figure out what to help us order. Sensing our indecision, she made some stellar suggestions and we appreciated the assist. Prices are fair and right in line with what you'd expect to pay for great Q. The sauces were expertly crafted, the meats were perfectly cooked, very juicy and flavorful. We ended up getting the 3 meats (I believe we mentioned some indecision on our part. The cure is to just order more, btw. We had the burnt ends, pulled pork and thick cut brisket. We also tried a small side of the smoked turkey, which was equally amazing and so very moist. I hear it's due to the brine) with the 2 sides. Miss Lisa heard us going back and forth for way too long about what sides we were gonna choose and, finally brought us a 2-bite sample of what we were debating, cementing our choices. Drumroll...collard greens, mac n'cheese won out. We both agreed that we should have both got the collards because they're about the tastiest we've had outside the south. Also, earning super high praise/honorable mention is the baked beans and the coleslaw. One sentence that I have never uttered nor thought once in my life before F325. The draft beers were cold and obviously had very clean, well-pressured lines (thank you, Jon Taffer, for my now knowing why some bars have horrible tasting beer). I wish I could have sat there and had 2 or ... more. The locals were the kinds of folks you wanted to sit next to and engage. Happy, friendly, slightly sassy yet fun-loving. James, Miss Lisa's husband/co-owner/bartender extraordinaire, was also out and about making a great impression in front and behind the bar. From start to finish, this place was top-notch. Not too busy at 7:30pm on a Wed in March. The ONLY thing we could suggest to this great couple who seems to have thought of nearly everything is maybe a couple of dessert offerings. After having meat and sides that were so rich and dense, having a nice counterpoint to that, to pull some of that heaviness off our tongues at the very end might have been nice. We really thank the entire crew at F325 (Fahrenheit 325°) and it's owners, Lisa and James. You're doing it 100% right and we encourage others to make it over to check you out for themselves. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Such good food! They have brews on tap from a brewery next door. The pale ale was so good with the pulled pork!

Yelp
so i waited to go back before giving a review, because my first to go order was pretty bad. I asked for no sauce, they told me they never put sauce on their meat, which is perfect, because a lot of terrible places hide the quality of their meat with too much sauce (jackstack...) and on my first order, which was a briquet plate, it was so expensive and not very good. so yesterday i needed some ribs, and was in NKC, and thought, today was the day to try this place again. it was indeed another aweful experience. the meat was actually COVERD in a sweet glaze, covering up what i can only guess is some pretty mediocre meat. so i guess they never put sauce on the meat except when I don't specifically tell them not to. it was bad, really bad, and i'll probably skip this place next time.

Yelp
Delish. It was all about the bbq sauce which they sell by the bottle and which I bought. Loved the pulled pork. Liked the turkey. My husband had the baked beans which were yummy. Would definitely come back here again!

Yelp
MUST TRY!!!I came into Kansas City from Dallas, TX for business and decided to try some BBQ in the local area. Hands down, the best BBQ I've ever had. The meat just fell off the ribs so gently and melted in my mouth. The portions were perfect! Sausages and brisket hit the spot! The owner was behind the bar very involved in her business, which I loved. Really showed her passion for her business. I fell in love with the spicy BBQ sauce they made. I ended up taking a bottle of BBQ sauce with me home to Dallas, TX for all my friends and family to try. Nobody has ever had that type of spicy BBQ sauce here in the big state of Texas. Needless to say, the bottle was gone in days, and I am now here on the site trying to order more. There are tons of places to try there, but don't always assume that because a business has been in an area for a long period of time that the new guys are not amazing or better. Give this place a shot! You won't regret it. I wish we had a place like this in Dallas! It would be packed daily! Thank you for your amazing customer service and hospitality, and most of all the delicious food! Please tell me where I can order more of your special BBQ sauce! I got on your site to order a few bottles, but didn't see a place to order it.

Yelp
We're from Texas so expect amazing BBQ. Definitely get the ribs and burnt ends. Can't decide which side was best: the collards, sweet potato casserole or coleslaw! Of and get the brown sugar bacon. Best employees. One even came out to help my husband find parking and then helped me to car due to breathing problems. Coming back through on our was back from Rochester, Michigan on Wednesday and will definitely be stopping again.

Yelp
This review is for lunch for two at the bar on a Sunday in mid-February. service: Everyone was very professional and accommodating. As others have said, the place has a very honest and sincere family vibe. Super impressed by everyone we interacted with. bar: Probably the most serious bar in a BBQ restaurant that I've seen. Plus, excellent draft choices. I drank a couple Cinderblock IPAs ($9 as of 02/2024) and they were spot on. Would highly recommend cocktails here. food: I ordered the two meat plate with brisket, pulled pork, beans, and fries ($21). When I asked about the other sides, the waitstaff brought me tasters of their greens, mac-and-cheese, and sweet potato pie. Everything we had was fantastic. details: The place was not crowded at Noon on a Sunday, but I would imagine it gets packed. Heed the warning signs about parking across the street in the pay lot. We grabbed street parking, but that might be scarce at times.
