Fabus - Review - Oud-West - Amsterdam - The Infatuation

"This women-owned wine bar has a whole range of bottles from places like Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Greece, as well as other regions that are underrepresented in Amsterdam. If you don't see a bottle on the menu that grabs you, just ask. The list is so long they don't even bother listing them all. Don’t skip the Levantine menu with hefty and flavorful bites like focaccia with dukkah, koftes, cypriot halloumi, and piping hot panisses." - Paolo Española

Overall, really great. I went for my birthday with a friend and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Great food and they were good at recommending different wines to accompany. Would definitely go back :)

Great array of wines & well presented sharing plates for two people max. Portions vary from dish to dish, it could be more consistent as we ordered 3 dishes for 3 people and it was very little if your expectations are to be satisfied. I ordered a beer but it didn’t come, there was only one waiter for a busy evening shift with a full house, she did her best but missed a few things and could see people getting frustrated at the wait. The flavour of the food was fantastic and would go back for that.

Went here for the natural wine experience - did not disappoint! The changing food menu was delicious, too, think Ottolenghi, fresh creative (not tooooo big) dishes with an interesting spark of spices and herbs. Cozy vibe, definitely recommend.

The wine, food, and the service were great. We tried a couple of natural wines, and they were really good. The service was quick and attentive. The two dishes we tried - black truffle dip with sourdough bread, and the harissa chicken were delicious. The dessert with sesame cookie and pistachio ice cream was a bit on the sweeter side and was okay. Overall, it is a must try wine bar, and we hope to go back again.

We had a great dinner here. The server was very friendly but did seem to forget our orders a couple times until we reminded her. The food, however, was excellent and we particularly loved the cauliflower and the kofte.

Cosiest place in Amsterdam for delicious natural wines with some great accompanying food (I recommend the delicious cauliflower or the leeks). The people working there always give on point recommendations for wine. They are incredibly friendly and give off the best vibe. I try to come here often to try new and exciting natural wines.

Truly a wonderful wine bar - we got to taste many beautiful bottles before settling on a Slovakian wine that was out of this world. Came back two days later and bought several bottles to take home! A gem and a joy of a place.

All around 10/10 My friend and I ordered the creamy spinach dip! It came with focaccia! And was vegan! So tasty and good! We asked for more bread and the delivered the most amazing sourdough bread with salt and olive oil on top! We also had the mushrooms with zaatar and sumac with a drizzle of tangy caches cream. These mushrooms were flawless and so JUICY! I ended up putting the spinach dip on top of my bread layered with the mushrooms and the pairing was unmatched! Heavenly actually! The wine was also delicious!
