You feel special the moment you step foot into Face Place. Eugenia is the best in the area for Botox treatments. I always get compliments shortly after every treatment. Highly recommend.

I really wanted to like this place but I left with a very red face, product in my hair and my skin didn’t have that much of a difference after a few days. I was going to wait writing a post, but after a few days I noticed no difference still after getting their signature $165 iDerm Facial. At that price I should at leasttt walk away with soft skin for a few days. On top of that, my technician who was sweet and seemed knowledgeable was trying to upsell me with add ons and a more expensive treatment while I was on the table which was frustrating. Don’t be a sponsored ad while we are trying to relax!! At this price, there should be a level of bespokeness included in the offer. IMO NOT worth it.

Had the most amazing facial I’ve ever had with Carol. The entire staff was so friendly & kind starting with Paul who helped me book the right type of service based on my skin concern. The facility was very nice & quiet so you could relax. They had valet parking behind the building which was a relief. I was taken back straight away. Carol was so lovely & took such good care of me the entire time. She explained each step & checked in to make sure I was comfortable. The time flew by & my skin was visibly better after the session. The moisture lasted for hours and hours. While it is a bit pricy, I really felt welcome & much better after my visit. I can’t wait to go back again.

Best Facial in Los Angeles, hands down. I have been going here for almost 20 years, regular appointments keep the face taut and glowing. Service is exceptional, going for so many years frequently you could expect the rare occasional snafoo but Paul and his team are always above and beyond with their customer service to make things right. I got the A-list facial and I was super impressed. I've gotten a lot of facials at a lot of nice spas, and at first I really didn't know what to expect since The Face Place does not offer music or massage or any of those "frills." This is a very no-nonsense type place that focuses on your SKIN, but man, do they deliver. The facial left me with tighter, smoother and more even-toned skin, and the results have lasted for three weeks, including two weeks of vacationing. I'll definitely come back here!

I really love coming here. The place is clean and bright and very convenient to where I live. There is a Facialist named Agi whose work I cannot recommend highly enough. She has strong hands benefits a lot of love into her facials. You will walk away feeling refreshed and renewed and your skin will be glowing. I often times receive compliments from random people on the street on my skin after I've had a facial with her. The quality of her work has not gone down in the nearly 10 years that I've known her and worked with her. It is also a deeply relaxing experience and every precaution is taken for cleanliness and sanitation. He will not regret getting a facial here, I can promise that.

The best deep cleansing facial ever! The galvanic treatment is the best. They have been doing the same thing for years because it works! You come out of here feeling so clean and your skin will be so bright. They also have great products like the classic face shampoo and the apricot scrub. There's a whole bunch of new stuff that I haven't tried but I love the classic facials here and products. MYRA is my favorite and she's extraordinary but all the aestheticians are great. It's right on Santa Monica Blvd. and actually if you drive up the street there's some free parking on the side streets if you look, usually on the south side of the streets. Or you can find metered parking in front or in the West Hollywood lot a little bit to the west. I believe there is also valet parking for this building on the street but I'm not sure if that's still around.

They're back!! Thank goodness. Face Place was my first stop into personal upkeep after months of sheltering in place.. A visit there yesterday was better than a week at a spa! The place is run professionally and graciously. I was welcomed back by the owner, Tony, and Myra, who has been taking care of my skin since I first discovered Face Place a decade ago. For me, a facial is ALL ABOUT CLEANING, and Face Place has been delivering that to their clients for 50 years (!!) with their unique iderm treatment. I would not spend time or money on any facial that neglects the very root of one's skin problems - dirt, circulation, pollutants. It makes no sense to have an esthetician apply layers of product on top of skin that is not clean. If you are seeking a cleansing, clinical facial, look no further. If you are looking for a professional, inviting atmosphere that provides consistent results, look no further.

The best facial I have ever had. I live in Northern California but I make sure to include a facial every time I get to LA. The thorough and tender ministrations by the very capable and caring staff leave you with a perfectly luminous glow that lasts for days.

The best eyebrows I've ever had! Agi is not only amazing at what she does, but she is also incredibly sweet and thoughtful. The place is spotless and I felt totally safe. Will definitely be returning here from now on!

I was so sad to hear my favorite aesthetician, Sarah is no longer at this location, but super happy to know she's still providing services. After a grueling process I found out she's now at the Stark on Sunset Blvd. location!! I'm giving this place a one star because the receptionist was rude and misinformed me about the aestheticians available at this place. BTW this is not a Stark location, nor do they provide Stark quality treatment.

Face Place is one of the most famous MedSpas since 1972! I recently discovered their skincare line and decided to try their Ultimate Face Shield Moisturizing. This Moisturizing SPF is one of the best face lotions I have used. This product is not greasy , goes on smooth and does not leave a white film like most face SPF. I recommend Face Place to everyone that is looking to enhance their skin care and achieve a flawless look. Super friendly staff and immaculate office.

I got the iderm facial with Carol. She was great and walked me through each step before she started. The extraction part wasn't painful! And I had such pleasant conversation with her. My face was tightened and my pores were minimal, if not disappeared. I'll be going back to have this facial done!

Tony is the absolute best esthetician on the planet. This isn't where you go for frou frou but for a clinical facial to purge pores of pollutants and nasty oils. When you leave, your skin will be smooth as a baby's bottom. If you want the relaxation element, you can request a foot massage from Andy when you book the facial. Knock out your body waxing while there by visiting Sarah at Stark upstairs. She's lovely and an excellent conversationalist, which keeps my mind off what's happening. The Face Place has been one of my regular beauty spots since I was a teenager. A quarter century later I'm still a loyal client which says it all. I look forward to the Face Place reopening from pandemic closures!

I've been wanting to visit Face Place for forever considering their reputation. Was able to book an appointment relatively quickly, which was nice and for a Saturday which was ideal! It's very modern and everyone was very professional and welcoming for my first visit. They let me know that this wasn't a facial just intended for relaxation, but to actually have results and improve skin concerns which is exactly what I was hoping for! I'd prefer that over a luxury facial with aromatherapy that is not conducive to skincare. First, they cleanse the skin, then extract, and then they use this crazy magnet to help put collagen and other good nutrients deep into the pores. I was all about it! I was red when first leaving, but once that settled down my skin looked FANTASTIC. I can't wait to go back!

Barb is a skin magician and delivered improved skin tone, firmness, fewer lines and a clearer complexion. Plus, I had for years been using hot water to cleanse my face at night. Carol's the bomb! Amazing at her job and friendly and comforting. You can tell you're in good hands, expert hands. I had first gone to the Face Place in my 30's when I heard about all the celebrities that went there, including Barbra Streisand. Now 30 years later I'm back! And it's as good as ever! You'll never want to spend your money again on a standard facial that is just about applying creams. With the current, the suction and all of the special techniques and equipment they use to draw the circulation to the surface, and nourish your skin, you'll see a noticeable difference with a healthy glow of youth that lasts. I'm loving it! Now I'm driving across town every 6 weeks for the best facial I've ever had. If you want the real deal go see Carol. And I don't know about anyone else but I love relaxing on the table and zoning out while being treated. Mmmm. I know I'm doing something good for myself and that feels great.

Agi is incredible! She does the best waxing and facials in town! I have been going to her for over 10 years, she was at the Wax Shop before, but because it closed due to the pandemic, Agi is at the Face Place now. Agi is the kindest, most genuine, sweetest person you will ever find. But not only is she the best person, she has also been in the skin care industry for decades and does the best waxing and facials. I wouldn't go to anyone else. I highly recommend her!

Sarah gave me the ideal waxing experience. I've never been waxing before, only heard horror stories from others and seen poor portrayals of it done in movies (Kelly Clarkston!). So, I was nervous. Sarah was/is everything someone getting waxed for the first time would hope for: professional, veteran in her field, courteous and understanding. I just finished my second trip to see her and will be back for a third, fourth and fifth as time goes on.

I LOVED Carol for my facial. She was so sweet, very knowledgeable, and gentle but thorough. She explained the benefit of every single step. I have really nice skin naturally with no problems that needed addressing so I was shocked to see how much better my skin look afterward. It looked as if I had gotten filler my face was so plump and juicy. It's not super pampering, but more to actually treat your skin than to be all fluffy and feel good. The front desk lady wasn't the nicest. She didn't greet me, say goodbye, ask how it was, say thank you, or even say anything. It was super weird. Owning a business myself, if a woman who was supposed to be the face of my company treated my guests like she wouldn't have a job after a day. But none the less you're paying for the facial, not the front desk lady. Will definitely be back regularly!

I have been seeing Agi for a few years now and would not go to anyone else for a Brazilian wax. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Agi at Face Place. She always makes me feel comfortable and beautiful with her painless, fast and clean hair removal service. She is extremely professional and personable, and truly cares about my beauty needs. Agi is absolutely the best! I also very much appreciate the immaculate customer service I received from the owners of Face Place during my last visit. had one of the best facials of my life at the face place. love the product line and order it online when i've run out and not in town. the facials were thorough and afterwards, my dave looked and felt great. sometimes the aesthetician at other spas would hold back (because the clients were wimps when it came to pore extraction, etc.). not here! your face is cleaned thoroughly and it shows! don't skip this place if you are in west hollywood.

This 5 star review has been a long time coming. I've been seeing Carol for I think almost 3 years now and it's safe to say that she has utterly and completely transformed my skin for life at this point. When I came to her, I was breaking out all over my jawline with pores as deep as wells. But after going to her consistently and following her regime she put me on (all of which are not just Face Place products by the way, they're not the type of place to push their own products hard), I very quickly started to see results. It is not cheap, I'll give you that, but I found it was SO incredibly worth it to have truly healthy skin. I've even gotten compliments recently that it doesn't even look like I USED to have acne, which is honestly earth shattering for me. Carol and the Face Place is THE best and there is nowhere else I'd trust with my skin!!

Best facials available in Los Angeles, no fluff just solid skin care. Most complete cleansing I have experienced. Galvanic mask tightens face muscles. You come out glowing and your skin feels like a baby's butt. You don't want any make up on it. Have been a client for 30 years, my friends can't believe how good my skin is at 73, credit goes to Myra at the Face Place and the Galvanic masks facials.

I made an appointment here because this place came highly recommended. I told the woman who was working with me I wanted my pores cleaned and she said we don't really clean pores just hydrate. My skin looked NO different. Then, she RECOMMENDED I DONT USE SUNSCREEN. I was told by my esthetician that sunscreen is bad for your skin and to wear a hat! (I'm extremely fair with freckles for reference)

The Face Place's Agi is truly unparalleled--she takes such care with her clients, making them feel at ease and delivering the highest levels of professional service. It's evident she loves her profession, which is why we continue to come back again and again. Whether you're in seek of a facial that alleviates congestion, eliminates redness and assists in clear skin (as I always need), a waxing or simply someone to tell your troubles to, Agi is your esthetician! Paul at the front desk is also incredibly kind and helpful in scheduling appointments that work with your busy day.

It would be good to tell new clients over the phone exactly what to expect with the facial. The facial is not standard, which might be fine for some, but not for others. The instruments are very old, which I understand and respect, but a lot of it can cause claustrophobia, such as the steamer. With the facial there is just a lot of waiting around, and getting wrapped with wet, uncomfortable cloths; and large devices that cover your face and cause claustrophobia. You miss the relaxing, massaging, and smell of a standard facial. If the results of the facial were somehow better than a standard facial, I might agree with the techniques, but the results were not. It was a 2-star experience, but the extra star was for the fact that they don't push products on you the way other places do. The aesthetician only once told me about a product that she could recommend to me, but left it at that, and didn't push any further, which I appreciated.

So happy to find esthetician Agi here. She used to be at the Wax Shop which is now closed. I have been going to Agi for years and wouldn't trust anyone else to do my waxing and facials. She is truly one of the best! Face Place is serene, relaxing and overall charming. Looking forward to making this my one-stop self care spot!

Worst customer service I have received ever. Honestly just go anywhere else but here. I wasn't even on the glass and the employees comes out and tells me to get off their property because I might break the glass, after I paid for service and waiting for my Uber. I've heard from other friends that the Botox they do leaves them worst off than before.

This was my place for facials when I was in LA, to protect my skin from the burning rays. I got the electric current facial, plus used their skincare regime. I loved it, and it was pricey back then, but so worth it. I need a return trip here, to be sure. Extremely unpretentious and friendly despite their celebrity clientele. Madonna used to go here, but I never saw here there - probably she was ensconced behind the special VIP area in the back, and not hobnobbing with a plebian like me.

I saw a segment on The Doctors and went to see Carol for a galvanic facial. She was gentle, knowledgeable and explained everything she was doing every step of the way. A bolster under my legs allowed for deep relaxation and I even dozed while the dome was on my face. She cleansed my face, did a few extractions and wrapped me in ultra warm linen strips with what seems like magical elixirs to help plump my dermis. After it was over, my face was really red, but oh so soft. The redness disappeared in less than an hour. The softness remains days later. I can't wait to go do another one.

I cannot say enough about The Face Place. I've been coming here since the early 80's and my facial treatments here are helping me to face my 65th birthday. I usually see one particular person but have been treated throughout the years by several others who are equally gifted. They are all very specifically trained to use a technique that leaves you face unmarked after a treatment. Their treatments are about cleaning your pores and firming your skin - not about massaging your face with creams or using wet steam, which over stimulates your pores. If you want empty pores and clean skin, The Face Place is for you! A final note, the owners are sweethearts and their staff reflects that as well. Many on staff have worked there for years which is lovely and a rarity these days.

Eugenia is Excellent for Medical Aesthetics! Face place might be best-known for its facials, but the Santa Monica location also offers medical services by Eugenia, and as one her loyal clients for a dozen years, I recommend her as an expert professional who is always up-to-date on the most advanced techniques. Since she gave me my first Botox injection (at 45), Eugenia has been my one and only choice for medical aesthetic procedures. Since I hit 50 almost seven years ago, I've been seeing Eugenia once every six-to-eight months, and her conservative approach ensures that my face, mouth, and jawline appear young and vibrant, but never frozen or fake. If you're looking for a medical professional who will focus on your personal areas of concern and deliver terrific results while also being mindful of your budget, go see Eugenia!

This place is wonderful. Clean, friendly service. I've had many waters but Carissa was great! We were able to have effortless convo while the service was being conducted. Waxing was virtually painless. I can not recommend this place enough!

She didn't spend much time in the room!! Left me for 10-15mins + another 15-20mins!!! Used only 2 products on my face! No head or shoulder massage or something for relaxation. Not worth $140 at all!!

I have been coming here for almost 10 years now and LOVE Myra. She is very sweet and I always look forward to seeing her Do not get me wrong. I get an extraction facial, a painful extraction facial, coming from someone who suffers from acne (bad acne), this works very well for me. I do have some downtime but after about 2 days makeup covers any redness. After a week, I am totally clear and have no more spots or acne. I go once every 2 months for keep up. The location is small, but still modern. I highly enjoy coming here! Feel free to message me for more details!

I gave this place several chances because it's convenient to where I live and i've read great reviews. However, my experiences were not good and left me with broken capillaries on my nose from being squeezed too hard during extractions. I don't think it's hygienic that they work on two clients at once (didn't see them wash their hands). Also, Carol actually forgot about me during a facial and I was left in the room with the dome on my face for 45 minutes. I had to physically take the mask and product off my face, redress, and walk downstairs to remind her that I was still there. Her excuse was she was "eating her lunch and forgot", which also seems unhygienic that an esthetician would eat lunch during a service. Gross.

The facial is not a typical facial. There is none of the relaxing massage, the steam, the oils, or the pleasant aromas of a typical facial. Instead you just kind of lay there with a box over your face. That would not be so bad if the management informed you in advance that this was not the usual facial. After it was over and we pointed out our disappointment, the person had the counter had no words of apology or even regret that we were dissatisfied. There are so many complaints about this on Yelp that I have to believe the management is willfully taking advantage of unaware customers.

I used to love this place until I got the worst facial ever yesterday. It was painful and the result was my skin looking worse than when I walked in, not better. This was THE most horrible facial I have ever had and I've had a lot. I don't enjoy negatively reacting this way but this is my face! Please see before and after pictures I posted and decide for yourself.

I was recommended here by a friend and after seeing hr Yelp reviews I decided to give it a try. I visited Toni who was so sweet and lovely to be around while he was doing my facial. I have very sensitive skin and he was able to accommodate me. I had broken out a bit and needed help clearing up my skin and his facial worked wonders for my skin! I see him every couple months a year his work is excellent!!

Tony has magic hands. He really does. This facial is all about your... Face! It's not what I would call a "spa" facial. There is no massage or relaxing music. But when you leave, your skin will be clean and transformed. They have a special machine that sends current into your skin and they leave it on for 20 minutes. My skin has definitely improved and I've only been twice so far! Expect to spend at least an hour to hour and 15 minutes. It is pricey, but it's your face, totally worth it!

I have to say that my friend recommended this place and I completely feel in love. I have been looking for a facial facility forever and could not find one that was for me. Here are thee reasons that I love this place: 1) The customer service was incredible - I have been to plenty of locations where I feel like I have forced to buy their product, but I did not feel that here. They were extremely nice and educational about the process. By the time I was completed with my facial, I knew what product and chemical they had used on me. 2) The facility was clean 3) The facial itself was amazing - I went thought a couple of facial wash, extraction from the skin, electrical currents to wipe out bacteria, vitamin c soaked face strips that create a mask to enhance glow and health. 4) The main reason, I felt relaxed, clean, and comfortable 5) Extra treat - I also bumped into a famous tv star!!!

The Face Place is not a spa. Their facials are not relaxing. In fact, they're brutal. They're like facial rolfing, if you know what I mean. That said, it's not like Brunhilda the 500 pound Teutonic punisher beats you up or anything. It's more like an efficient, quiet woman in a white smock picks and picks and picks at your face, making you feel like you're at the skin dentist's. Ow ow ow! Leave my upper lip alone! That part hurt so much that I thought I would hear Lawrence Olivier asking me "Is it safe?" any second. I always thought I had good skin. Who knew that under the surface it was teeming with microbes, broken capillaries, and a myriad of nasty things? Who knew that removing them would be so painful? But... one must suffer for beauty, as we all know. So, if you want a really, really, REALLY clean face, go to the Face Place. It's no fun, but I swear I could feel my skin breathing after I'd been there (and it was thinking "Ahhhh...I'm all nice and clean and now I get to soak up some smog!). Gotta go get rolfed now. I'm into punishment this month.

When they tell you this is a "medical" facial, believe them. There is nothing pleasurable about it. No scented lotions, not much face massage, no effort to make you comfortable. While I was looking forward to a thorough facial and happy to skip all the smelly, new-agey stuff, I was disappointed in the overall treatment. Nobody offered me a water before or after the facial, and my aesthetician didn't tell me what she was using on me or what effect it was supposed to have. Her banter consisted of unpleasantries like "You're not claustrophobic, are you?" (before putting what amounted to a giant traffic cone over my face) and "Your skin is going to be really red after this" (before strapping some strap to my chin and tying it tight over my head.) For these treatments, she left for 10 and then 20 minutes, respectively, leaving me bored and baffled. The extractions were thorough, which was a plus. And this wasn't just a few squeezes in the T-zone, she covered my ENTIRE face. A quick scrub with toner and she left again -- I didn't even know she was finished until she didn't come back. Very odd. My skin looks fine, but I don't think I'll be back.

I searched high and low in Los Angeles for a great facial but never really found anywhere that gave me the results I was looking for. I have now been going to face place for about 2 years and am so happy I came across them. I go to Myra who is amazing. Highly recommended.

I am hesitant to tell you how ridiculously awesome, innovative, and simply mind-blowing the facial at the Face Place is because it's already an insanely popular haven for people with weirdly natural looking perfect skin and it's hard enough to get an appointment, dammit! That said, THIS IS THE BEST FACIAL YOU WILL EVER HAVE IN YOUR LIFE. Thanks to a serious connection, I got an appointment with Tony, who co-owns the place with his partner Paul, and is a bona-fide genius. Not only does he have impeccable skin (natch) but he also has an effervescent spirit and a crazily light touch considering he is removing every bit of flotsam from your every pore. He took amazing care of me--face and soul--and I left with new skin. If you ever told me I would go further into debt in order to have a standing skincare appointment, I wouldn't have believed you. But this is one special place.

Carol is amazing! She is a magician with skin- I have never received so many compliments on my complexion. I've had many facials in my day, but the Hollywood A-List facial made my skin actually glow. The Signature treatment is also amazing. Can not recommend Carol highly enough!!

I've been coming here for about 8 years, and never go anywhere else for facials. As its been said, this is not a relaxing "spa facial". This is a facial treatment, for when you want someone to get in there and get stuff out! Ask for Myra, she's a dynamo with a wonderful personality. My skin is NOT happy if I go more that a month without a facial. If you're looking for something to de stress, this is probably not the place for you, as there are a lot of extractions, and often someone else getting a treatment in the same room as you. But if you want beautiful skin, you've found your place. I always leave feeling as though my skin can breathe again. Great for waxing as well, although at $80 its a little pricey for a Brazilian, however you get what you're paying for. Superior attention to detail in both facials and waxing.

This may be the best facial I ever had! First off, when making the appointment for the first visit, the receptionists explained parking, payment, etc. so there were no surprises once I arrived. Mindy performed my facial and she was great! For once, when warned about the pain of extractions, I didn't need it. She got in there, but took her time. This is the first time after having a facial, I was able to leave the house with out looking like I had been in a fight. I even received a follow up call to check on my skin. There was no pressure to buy products. It took me forever to find a new place to go because most yelp reviews I read complained of product pushers at other salons. JG

Two Words: Life Saver!!! I do not typically have horrible skin but I did for a span of about 1 or 2 yrs. Finally I was doing research on places in the country to go to because I was SICK of having bad skin and I ran across The Face Place. It is absolute heaven. They were (at the time - 2 yrs ago) the only place in SoCal that did Galvanic Treatments (probably still are the only place). They do extractions, electrical currents, vitamin c soaked face strips that create a mask, and finish up with a masque as well. If you want to have great skin (for the 1st time or again), then go to the Face Place. I went here for a span of time, began using Cetaphil (great, inexpensive fash wash), added in Biotherm's Skin Perfector to my moisturzer, and in one year my skin was BETTER, much BETTER. :)
