The Essential Guide to Eating and Drinking in Alameda

"Much of Alameda’s modern history lies in the now-defunct Naval base on the west end of the island. Local favorites like Almanac Beer Co. and St. George Distillery have called Alameda Point home for years. The Rake at Admiral Maltings features over 20 beers and spirits, all made with their hand-turned malt, plus a food menu that features applewood smoked barbecue. If wine flights are more your speed, walk over to Building 43, Urban Legend, or Dashe Cellars. Hop on the ferry and catch the free weekend trolley for a five-minute ride from the Main Street ferry terminal to your destination." - Meleyna Nomura

Faction Brewing is easily one of the best spots in Oakland for craft beer lovers. The beer selection is top-notch, with great IPAs, stouts, and seasonal brews. The spacious outdoor area offers incredible views of the Bay and SF skyline. Laid-back vibe, friendly staff, and good food trucks make it a perfect hangout spot!

Wide variety of delicious beers. Large airy industrial space with murals and other fun things to see including a shag-carpeted "Mutt Cutts" van. Huge patio overlooking an old airfield, the Bay, and San Francisco skyline.

Google
Faction Brewing in Alameda offers a fantastic brewery experience with an unbeatable view. Located on the waterfront, Faction provides panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline and the Bay Bridge, creating a magical atmosphere, especially at sunset. The outdoor patio is spacious, and the relaxed vibe makes it perfect for hanging out with friends or family. Their rotating selection of craft beers has something for everyone, from hop-heavy IPAs to smooth stouts. The combination of excellent brews, laid-back ambiance, and the breathtaking view makes Faction a must-visit spot for both locals and visitors alike.

Google
Super fun place to get a delicious draft beer. I loved the spring IPA. Went with a group of friends who all ordered different drafts than I. Everyone was very happy with their choices. On a sunny day wear a hat, sunscreen, enjoy the view and order up food from the Curry and Combo food truck. The food was delicious but be prepared to wait around 25 minutes for your order. All in all I highly recommend this experience. Biking out there made it even better.

Google
Really enjoyed this brewery after going to the pumpkin patch nearby. It was also packed since the weather was so nice outside. There were 2-3 places outside to grab food and a bar outside aside from the one inside. They didn’t allow flights that day since they were so busy during fleet week. Enjoyed the Faction Hefe which was light and crisp.

Google
Wonderful place to meet family or friends and have a couple of beers . One of the best selections of micro beers I’ve seen with a panoramic view of the San Francisco city plenty of outdoor / indoor seating large building but the brewery has no restaurant not much of a food selection other than the food truck parked outside, which had some all right tacos But Not many appetizer options.

Rachelle Lopez

Google
We had a great experience but wish there’s more shaded area like umbrellas. There’s a good variety of beer and cider options with bbq. The bags of pretzels although good are way overpriced, note that we found the same ones for half the price at Homegoods. There’s music and art show and art sellers inside and we passed it going to the toilet. The toilet could be more cleaner. Overall we enjoyed the day.

Spectacular views, good beers if you like pale ales and lagers. Great place to go with your family or friends, dog friendly.

Yelp
In Alameda, Faction Brewing offers a laid-back atmosphere with beautiful views and spacious seating options both indoors and outdoors. The environment is cozy and vibrant, featuring murals and Christmas decorations that add a festive charm. It's a self-serve water setup, and while they don't make their own food, there are likely food trucks available earlier in the evening--though by 8 PM, food service had stopped during my visit. The service was prompt and friendly, and the ambiance was enhanced by the unique murals and the presence of the "Mutt Truck," which seems to be a staple feature. I enjoyed a Cold IPA for $10, which was refreshing and tasted great. It's a solid place to relax, enjoy a drink, and soak in the views, especially if you arrive earlier for the food truck offerings.

Yelp
Been a fan of Faction from Day 1! I'm a sucker for IPAs and hop bombs and Faction delivers on both fronts. Not to mention they knock it out of the ballpark with stouts, session beers, and an assortment of seasonal lagers and ales that take advantage of the changing temps and available ingredients. But I'll always come back to faction, growler in hand, for their IPAs. They don't kid around here, and dump obscene amounts of grains and hops into their IPAs in order to make it abundantly clear that you're about to have an adventure. The grain bills for their recipes must be sky high, but the quantity of grains also shows up in the quality of taste. Faction brews some real hop monsters with resinous and piney flavor profiles that still don't crush other flavor. I know people rag on big IPAs as being undrinkable, but there's some real artistry in the flavors that Faction is able to coax out of these formulations. And I'm a big fan of not needing to fill up on volumes of liquid just to feel the effects. Some of my fave Faction brews, like their seasonal Blitzen Triple IPA that was available on draft on my visit, has a whopping 10.5% ABV. In this economy, that's some strategic drinking! Faction has both indoor and outdoor seating. And believe me, outdoors is where you want to be. Located right beside the decommissioned Alameda Naval landing field, Faction has unparalleled views of the City, Bay Bridge, and big sky. These are the BEST drinking views in the entire Bay Area. Limited prepackaged snacks can be purchased inside, but a rotating roster of food trucks are generally available outside as well. And don't miss out on their calendar of special events that take place throughout the year (check their website for the current lineup).

Yelp
I came here in a recommendation. They have a great selection of beers. Their winter seasonal triple ipa was surprisingly light and refreshing albeit strong. The people are very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is great for a hangout the patio is spacious. There is yummy food trucks near by. I just wanted to inform you that Google maps stops you near the parking area, so don't be afraid to enter the fencing and look for the sign!

Yelp
Such a cool atmosphere to spend an afternoon catching up with friends. The space is huge inside with plenty of spacious seating outdoors as well. I'm new to beer and I'm always trying to get a feel for what I like, this also means lots of questions. Even with a growing line the bartender was patient and gave me a few options to try. They were also hosting a market on this particular day, with local vendors displaying their goods. With beer, good service and ample parking, Faction is a must visit!

Yelp
We discovered that we'd been missing out on this spectacular brewery much too late. We were coming in from Sacramento and heading to the last weekend series at the Coliseum when we decided to stop for a beer. Yelpers definitely pointed us in the right direction. Great beertenders, tasty beer options, and a beautiful view. Although our days of going to A's games have come to an end, we'll definitely be back for beer at Faction.

Yelp
I've been working in Oakland for 18 years, yet this was my first trip over to the decommissioned NAS Alameda and Faction Brewing. Although I've known about Faction in beer circles--seeing it occasionally on tap at Hop Asylum or spotting cans for sale, especially Blitzen during the holiday season--I never got around to visiting the brewery. Why I passed it up for so long, I'll never know. I'd been listening to a podcast about the Port of Oakland and wanted to find some good spots to watch container ships. After heading down Main St. and taking the last left onto Navy Way, I was on my way to Faction with purpose. Having already tried the other local breweries, I wanted to see how Faction stacked up. My 5-stars hinted at greatness, but I needed the details for myself. Finding the parking lot took a minute, as the Faction sign had come loose, but there was plenty of parking right next to the old Naval building. It was a Friday afternoon, just before 5:30pm, and the outdoor space was enormous--fenced in but offering stunning views of the bay, downtown, and the bridges. The sky was clear, and the sunset was warm, painting the perfect backdrop. The Locos Only Fusion Food Truck was there, but I didn't try the food, though it looked as good as the menu sounded. On the wooden patio, I walked inside and was immediately faced with an overwhelming selection of taps. Since I hadn't tried many Faction beers before, I started simple with a pale ale. From there, I ventured on to Ales for ALS 2024 and Votemeal. Each beer was crisp, clean, and full of flavor, and I'm excited to explore more of what Faction has to offer. The location's history alone is worth the visit. Sitting outside as the sun set, with no umbrellas needed, was the perfect way to unwind after a long week. Inside, the tap list was easy to read, complete with hop varietals, and the staff was quick and attentive, answering all my questions--even the ones I already knew the answers to. The taproom had some raised tables in the front room, and there was a back room (hangar) with the restrooms and brewing vats where people could hang out. Overall, it was another great trip to a local brewery. The only downside for me is driving through the Posey Tube, but that's hardly a knock on the beer, staff, or the brewery itself. If you're looking for excellent beer with fantastic views, Faction Brewing is the spot. Cheers!

Yelp
Faction was a great experience! It's located in a big open space with plenty of parking overlooking the bay. Such a great view and vibe. When I was there on the weekend, there were food truck and music. People were just chilling outdoor enjoying and chatting. Dogs friendly outdoor ! For those who want to be indoor, there's some seatings inside. You could also go to the back to check out the tanks and brewery. Some mural art at the brewery. They only have one lager but plenty of ipa options. Friendly service.

Yelp
Nice spot with sweeping views of San Francisco. Easy parking, friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have en extensive selection of beer on tap. I opted for a flight ($3 each). The highlights for me were the Hemi 5.4, Harvest IPA and (believe it or not), their chocolate milk stout. The IPA's were all tasty with nice hops profiles, good nose on both the harvest and Hemi. Overall a great spot, open atmosphere and a good time!!

Yelp
Amazing spot to watch a sunset and sip. Great for large groups, good vibes to be with friends. I have been there on several occasions and enjoyed it. If only there was a little more food options available! Their service was great, very friendly! They make great recommendations based upon what you mention you like or lean towards. Bring a blanket or thick jacket, gets chilly towards the evening.
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
We visited a huge flea market at Faction which was super fun. The brewery has a million-dollar-view of SF...but the beer is just ok. Fun, lively place, but meh on the brews.
google avatar

Danny N.

Yelp
Stopped by Faction brewing when we were visiting the area. They had a big outdoor party with food trucks. It looked like a good time! There is plenty of outdoor seating with amazing views and plenty of indoor seating too. Service was fast and friendly. The only disappointing thing I'd say was the lack of sours on the menu.
google avatar

Yelp
LOVE this spot. Great outdoor space, big indoor space, Great beer, Great views, food trucks, Family and dog friendly. If you are in the Area... Go!

Yelp
On a glorious sunny Saturday, I stumbled upon a Latin food festival at Faction Brewing, an unexpected oasis nestled on the historic grounds of Alameda's former US Naval base. Despite initial appearances of a deserted industrial area, we soon discovered a vibrant hub of activity. The brewery's sprawling space unfolds with a breathtaking panorama of the San Francisco skyline and Bay Bridge, instantly washing away any doubts. This expansive venue is a dream for large gatherings, offering ample space for groups to mingle while enjoying a diverse selection of food truck fare and craft beers. I savored the Punker Up, a visually stunning and incredibly flavorful brew, as I soaked in the sunshine and spectacular scenery. The atmosphere is undeniably uplifting, perfect for a family outing or a casual afternoon with friends. Even dogs are welcome to join in the fun! The brewery's interior, although closed for seating that day, boasts an eclectic charm that hints at its potential as a unique venue for private events. A labyrinth of intriguing decor leads to the restrooms, adding a touch of whimsy to the experience. Faction Brewing has earned a well-deserved spot on my list of must-visit destinations. Its captivating views, exceptional brews, and welcoming ambiance create an experience that's truly one-of-a-kind.

Yelp
Celebrated one of my friend's birthdays here and safe to say this is a cool little spot in Alameda that's convenient for groups of all sizes. There's an indoor and outdoor area - abundant space for events and even more so good enough for chit chatting and enjoying drinks. Staff were chill and friendly, and beers are your typical price here. While here, I was able to try the Punker Up and Rice Lager. While I'm not much of a beer fan, Faction's drinks were pretty good! I think this is the type of place where I wouldn't actively seek to spend time at, but would enjoy if others I know chose to have a gathering here!
google avatar

Yelp
Faction has been a family fave for over a decade now. It has the best views and is so nice on a sunny day. Every single beer on tap is DELICIOUS. It has the BEST beer on the island! I have never not liked a single one, even stouts which I tend to never get. The staff is great and accommodating. When it's really busy, they'll set up an outdoor station as well in order to avoid long lines inside. Merch is sold onsite and if you don't have any Faction merch, are you even a real Alamedian? My gripes: women's bathroom is all the way on the other side of the building. No TVs to watch games. No umbrellas or canopies outside. When it's really hot outside, it can be quite unbearable to sit down and relax with a beer, and usually on those days, all the seats inside are taken up. Still, I love the beer so I'll keep coming back :) TVs: No Bathrooms: 2 inside Water Station: 1 inside Non alcoholic options: Sodas i think? Food: via food trucks Kid friendly: yes Pet friendly: yes

Yelp
Returning back to California to get some breweries off of my want list. Faction Brewing was one of them and it was a fun experience getting their Hella Strata which was a Helles Lager which I do love getting! This Helles is has all of the usual flavor highlights that you can expect from a Helles Lager which includes floral, apple, grainy and hoppy in the Strata Hops way which is the namesake of this beer. Enjoyable outing with this lager and one well worth sitting down to.

Yelp
Came in for for a beer during Vegan Fest beer (Fraction Pils anf Fraction Weizenbock) was divine exactly what we was looking for lie, bitter, and crisp. Service was fast lines weren't long at all. Inside outside seating with a view of SF and Bay Bridge they also have a portable RV bar outside with a few kegs saving you a trip back inside.
google avatar

Yelp
Who doesn't love a good brewery eh! I've been parlaying here for many moons(years), and there is never a dull moment let alone view here. The space is large, open, and the views of the bay & bridge are amazing. It's tucked away in Alameda and I'd like to believe it's a hidden gem of sorts. The crowd is always cool, the weather nice and the employees are super cool too. They usually have a few food trucks out there to satisfy your cravings as they come, but you can also bring your own food. This place is kid friendly and has both indoor and outdoor activities & seating for all. The art in the interior is DOPE, and they have the "Wag Mobile" from Dumb & Dumber! In addition to the various beers which include their very own brewed on site this is a win win win! Cheers & beers!

Yelp
Another business I frequent that surprises me that I have NO Yelp review. Quality/Quantity - 24 beers on tap. Snacks, but we brought our own lunch today from Tao Yuen, a Dim Sum place. Putumayo - Amber Ale, the sample tasted much better than my actual pint. They had to change the keg prior to pouring my beet. I was actually surprised that it only took seconds for him to switch out. Very experienced! Fraction Red - My usual, but you already know that if you are following. Janet Brown - Another good choice in the "red" family. Flights available. Cans also available to go. Self service free water Merchandise for sale. Atmosphere - Beautiful day, beautiful views of SF, Treasure Island, Bay Bridge, Port of Oakland, etc today. Cool artwork. I also like the fact that you "reused" the BBQ grills as planters rather than recycling them. See pictures. Huge warehouse space, both indoor and outdoor. I watched you build that patio back in the day. I believe in my pre Yelp life. It's a shame that the City or County does NOT allow you to put up shade... Many events, see pictures or websites. Today's food truck is La Santa Torta, see pictures. Plenty of private parking. Bathrooms in the back warehouse, mens to the left and womens ALL the way in the back, follow the signs. Sometimes it is fun to watch the "men" go to the wrong bathroom, and have to walk all the way back. Good sound system, as I parked, I actually thought you had a live band. Lastly, if you like or want to mix, St George Spirits is next door. Both kid and dog friendly. Well, more dog friendly than kid. Service - One man army at the front of house. Counter service. 4 people in the back brewing the beers, cleaning the tanks, etc. I appreciate the breweries that do NOT serve food to allow outside food, thanks. BTW - For the people reading, no tours. Price - $16 + Generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2013.
google avatar

Ryan C.

Yelp
The view out to the bay itself is a 5-star, and with the selection of quite drinkable list of West & East Coast IPAs? It's bound to become a legend of its own. Good job, Faction!
google avatar

Tejal D.

Yelp
Beer, views, food, plenty of parking, friendly staff, and good vibes all around. What's not to love? Faction is a great place to get together with loved ones and enjoy the sun (or escape the rain, they've got a spacious indoor seating area). They are also kid and dog friendly and allow you to bring your own food, should you choose to not buy anything from the featured food truck on site that day. I've had no issues setting up for parties here, arriving around noon and bringing food and snacks - there are so many tables available! My only minor complaint here is that the women's restroom is far inside (across the warehouse). :)
google avatar

Jenna L.

Yelp
Great place for groups - super beautiful on a sunny day, as you can see the SF city view from a distance. From other recs, it might be a perfect spot for sunset but we came around 1pm (on a cloudy day!) You can sit indoor or outdoor. Dog friendly outdoors. They don't have Hazy IPAs but offer a selection of other good bears! I really liked their Anomaly beer (?imperial stout) and their 11 was not bad. Very enjoyable beer, nothing that blew my mind away. Highly recommend for groups (they have the capacity to hold 100+ people, plus still have room for other guests!). Very casual vibes and super friendly staff
google avatar

Arthur T.

Yelp
Awesome spot! Huge seating inside and outside. Awesome view of the city. Downside for me...no Hazy IPAs :/ still able to find one that was ok to drink. Doggies allowed. There are also a few food vendors available. Great spot for big crowds, but also date vibes too. Parking lot available. Even when it seemed super busy, you should still be able to find a spot in their lot.
google avatar

Jude D.

Yelp
Had a really great time here over the weekend during a punk pop up shop. The brewery is kind of in an industrial area I'd alameda, but it has amazing waterfront views and a massive patio with lots of seating. The beers on tap are good and also tend to be higher in alcohol content. It's a good place to meet a group of friends on a warm day
google avatar

Siobhan A.

Yelp
Such a cool spot with a great selection! Brews were reasonably priced with a huge variety. Absolutely something for everyone here! Service: super friendly and efficient Ambience: absolutely unbeatable! I went on a sunny weekday and the view was amazing. Their indoor space is also huge and really cool Great spot to hang out with friends!
google avatar

Aliza W.

Yelp
Just visited for the first views and to listen to music , it was great . There is plenty of parking outside of the gates as well .
google avatar

Tommy C.

Yelp
Stunning views and awesome brews. A cool place to hang out and enjoy the view of SF. Many IPA options. Good trucks on site at times. Small merch shop.
google avatar

Johnny N.

Yelp
THE VIEW!! At my work retreat, we were recommended quite a few breweries here in Alameda, including Faction, that's right on the former Naval Air Station Alameda, along with other breweries and businesses. Right away, I was amazed by the view, of the city, the former runways and taxi lanes, and the landscape. There's a large indoor and outdoor seating area, which makes it perfect for a large group, a party, or any other gathering. The beers are also great too. I got the Penske File, which I thought was great. And there's plenty of others on tap too!
google avatar

Max K.

Yelp
Location is kinda remote in old navy garrison in Alameda. Many parking should be available. There is a large outdoor sitting area with many tables available. Good for gathering, groups, small parties, kids and dogs. Many Beer options and there's a Mexican food truck for food. You can bring your own food and just get drinks! Nice city view over the bay.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
The beer is alright, but the view is second to none. Food vendors rotate, lots of seating, oh and did I mention the view?!
google avatar

Vicki L.

Yelp
Excellent view of San Francisco on the large outdoor patio. Food truck options. Easy parking.
google avatar

Sofy Y.

Yelp
This was my second time here. Definitely forgot I had been here before until I parked! Big outdoor seating area, good spots with nice light near bar to sit, and a great large warehouse area to sit where you can see the giant beer machines! Fermentation tanks? Went here for their sunset concert series. From 4-6 on Sunday, I think assumption is you'll stay for a beer after to watch sunset, cuz it was too early and also inside so no sunset views from concert area anyway! They have a couple food trucks outside. Didn't try, but they also have pretzels and chips for sale at the bar which was perfect, even a big sharing bag. Tried 3 diff beers, the helles, the wit, and the anomaly. All three were fabulous. Lots of ales and IPAs on the menu, no sours. Def more a German and bitter bear type spot. But everything I had wasn't too heavy, and I usually won't have more than 1.5 beers, but the stuff here was that tasty! Large clean bathroom and very lovely staff who seemed genuinely nice!
google avatar

Jacob C.

Yelp
I would give this place 5 stars for the view alone. It's unbeatable and truly unique to be able to see the beauty of the San Francisco city scape! I am very picky when it comes to beer and tend to favor either low to no hop beers like Hefeweizen or a very hearty sweet stout. As such it is rare for me to find something that I truly like to sip on here. That being said I have several friends and family that absolutely love the beer and the selections that they have to choose from. There is almost always a food truck here and they keep some tasty packaged snacks by the bar. The service is always acceptable and I have never had a bad experience. I definitely recommend this place!
google avatar

Anandita S.

Yelp
While our kids were in basketball, my brother was watching them. We ended up coming here for some beer break. This place is super fun with kids because they have an area with the kids. my husband and I enjoyed different flavour of beers. Super fun place to be for a nice warm day in Alameda.. it's also easy pocket and the service is fast and friendly.

Virginia B.

Yelp
We found this place on a fluke but I'm so glad we did!! Love the vibe! Beer was good! Food was good, ambience was great! Friendly to all! A must try!!!
google avatar

Allister D.

Yelp
This is a great brewery! I love the space outside and inside. Lots of seating space and area for families and friends to enjoy. There are two bars; one inside and one outside. The view of the skyline does it for me! I love the fact that people can sip and enjoy the view of the SF skyline and ocean at the same time. It would be awesome if they served food inside rather than a food truck outside but it is what it is. I would definitely come back again and enjoy a stout. I highly recommend this place to people wanting to experience being inside a hangar and drinking beer.
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
This was me and my significant other's first time here at Faction and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. When we arrived on site, we were greeted with an awesome view of the San Francisco city skyline. It was a sunny Saturday afternoon with a lot full of people drinking good beer and having a good time. When we eventually got to the bar to order our drinks, we were a bit indecisive as there were a great deal of options to choose from. The kind lady who was serving us took her time to help us decide which one would be a great fit. She was able to give us a few samples all of which included stouts, lagers, pilsners, and IPA's. Overall a great experience with friendly staff, good selection of beers, and a family oriented atmosphere.
google avatar

Julie H.

Yelp
Great beer great vibes great view! Highly recommend coming here and getting a flight. You can get the flight of the day or build your own. The workers here are also very nice and helpful. If you're unsure of what kind of beer to order just ask! You can even try them.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a chill spot in alameda outside Oakland with amazing views of the bay and San Francisco skyline. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoor and pet friendly for you dog people. The beer selection is excellent and prices are great. The service here was fast, friendly and welcoming. It's a really nice place when the weather is good to sit enjoy a nice beer and a beautiful view. Definitely a much check out if your in Alameda and the east bay
google avatar

Perry N.

Yelp
Unfriendly staff. I came for a beer with family a couple years ago, and the girl behind counter was very rude. I thought maybe she's having a bad day; so, a year later, this past Wednesday, I dropped in for a second chance of hoping to be in a friendly surrounding, and although the view is incredible, the service was not. With other fantastic breweries on the base: Humble Sea and Almanac; there's no reason to come here for anything other than the view.
google avatar

Helen H.

Yelp
The location of the brewery is unique- defunct Naval Air Station. There are great views of the San Francisco skyline and Bay Bridge from the brewery. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. It would be an ideal place for a group of people to hang out, including kids and dogs. As for the beer, there are plenty of options with 20+ beers on draft.

Paul T.

Yelp
Great views, great beer! Love their west coast IPA. Wish they were open later during the summer but Karl does made it hard.
google avatar

Marsha H.

Yelp
The atmosphere is amazing!! The view of San Francisco wow! Will come back! You should try too
google avatar

Stefan D.

Yelp
I'm usually not a big fan of beer, but I'm starting to enjoy it after trying out this brewery! This place has indoor and outdoor seating, but most people sit outside as there's usually live music and lots of dogs! I ordered a flight of beers to try out different ones and I actually really enjoyed their Anomaly Nitro! Ended up getting a glass of that one after

Yelp
To those of you serious craft beer drinkers that live in or around the Bay Area, this is the place to see and be seen. The views itself set this place apart from other breweries I've been to. This takes me on a trip to the bay community of Alameda where I had the opportunity in trying "Faction Brewing". Located on Monarch St., this place is surrounded by other various factories, naval bases, and large hangar decks that make this place unique all in itself. Having been opened since 2013, it took me quite awhile to finally see what this place was all about. On the inside, there are a ton of large beer fermentation tanks as well as beer barrels, a communal sitting area, old-school pinball machines, skee-ball, and a ton of self-serve beer pouring stations. I've actually drank many Faction Brewing beers over the years and love the flavors that they bring. There are also some really cool looking murals and artwork that flow throughout this once abandoned warehouse. Now the real winner here is their outside area. Living in these Covid times told all of us to social distance. I will tell you that this place is as spacious as you will get. Lots of outdoor seating where the large beer barrels serve as your tables. You will find each table/barrel with a unique QR code where you can pull up their drink menu and a small food menu. What makes this easy is that the table automatically links to your phone which make it easy for the server to drop off your food and drinks. Additionally, they also offer cornhole for those that wish to play with a live DJ during select times. The views here are some of the best you'll find anywhere in the entire Bay Area. From a distance, you can witness the San Francisco skyline showcasing the Salesforce Tower, Transamerica Pyramid, Embarcadero buildings, Twin Peaks and both the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge & Golden Gate Bridge. On any given day, you can witness that bay fog, amazing sunsets, and lots of seagulls from a distant view. Everything here was very well executed as I was able to place my order and have it out to be in less than 15 minutes. I went very simple by going with their "Faction IPA", "Faction Pale Ale", and a grilled cheese sandwich. The food here can really vary on any given day since there are local food trucks that come here regularly. Everything that ranges from Asian fusion to tacos to burgers to BBQ. All in all, "Faction Brewing" is a great above average place which is ideal if you wish to bring a large group of friends. The open air environment is cool, the local craft beers are iced cold, and the ambiance is a win-win. My rating, an above average four stars.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday during a holiday weekend and was relieved that they had samplers/flights. At 4PM, there was a short line to get in through the fence, where they check your ID before being seated. Ordering was super simple with a QR code at your table. There was also an option for you to go up to the bar counter in the middle of the seating area for a pint. Water is self-serve from a keg behind this station. I think the food option rotates. There was a Mexican food truck this time. My second experience here was nothing short of fantastic. Everyone is so friendly. The only thing I wish they had was a bit more shade from the sun beating down.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday evening and was quickly seated. You can order via QR code displayed on your table or walk up for select beers. The initial employee that seated us was really nice and gave us a run down of the place however the employee that brought us our drinks was not in a good mood. Anyways, there's a nice view of sf including the bay bridge but they do close at 8pm so you won't be able to hang around for long during later sunset times. They don't offer food besides snacks (like goldfish crackers) from their kitchen but there was a taco stand vendor. The tacos were $5 each and side of rice and beans were $4. P.S. bring a jacket, it can get chilly being outside especially in the evening
