Fahrenheit Seven Val Thorens | Best family ski hotels in Europe

"The location of this four-star hotel is unrivalled; 2,300m elevation, with direct access to Val Thoren’s snow-sure slopes, and just a short ski from the Peclet bubble lift and ski school meeting point. Rooms have a retro-chic vibe, and some have piste views. The good-sized ski room is a comfy hang-out space, with big sofas, table football and a bar serving excellent coffee and hot chocolate. Upstairs in the snug, guests can refuel on apres-ski crepes in front of the open fire. The slope-side restaurant – with lovely views over the Cime de Caron – has a good kids’ menu. If it’s apres ski you’re after, there’s a daily ”Sunset Party’ with live DJs playing on the terrace, live music every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening in the Zinc Bar, and once a month, the ‘Seven Party’, featuring nationally-recognised DJs. Amazing location, ski in and out, the staff is wonderful and friendly, super customer oriented, rooms are comfortable and a decent size, well appointed. Food everywhere has been delicious with very generous portions. Would highly recommend. Only small negative the wifi is unstable and needs rebooting every day.

This hotel is in an amazing location for ski- in/ski-out access. The service was exceptional! The staff at the front desk went above and beyond, and thanks to their quick thinking in ordering a taxi at the last minute, we didn't miss our flight. Highly recommend!

The stay was fine and hotel in a good location. However following check-out, all parties were billed €30 for using the amenities (shampoo and conditioner). Such a shame that having spent €599 each night, the hotel is charging for use of the room toiletries!! Felt very cheap and borderline fraudulent. ***Update 18th March 2025*** - To be clear, no toiletries were taken from the room whatsoever. Certainly not "large bottles" as you suggest. The exact same scam email demanding payment for conditioner and body lotion was sent to other guests in different rooms in identical formatting. POOR SHOW.

We had a fantastic stay at Fahrenheit Seven and had already made plans to return next year. However, the post-checkout experience has left us feeling very confused and disappointed. After leaving, we received an email with a payment link for €30, claiming we had taken two Rituals products. We hadn’t taken any products, only using some moisturiser during our stay, as you should expect at a hotel of this standard. Coincidentally, a friend staying in a separate room received the exact same email for the exact same products, which he also did not take. For a hotel of this standard, with room rates exceeding €2,000 for a four-night stay, it’s astonishing that such an issue would arise. The hotel claims we had taken "large refillable" bottles, yet the products in question were provided as shown in the hotel’s own room photos, small (20/30ml), the kind you’d expect to be complimentary in any quality 4 star hotel. It’s a real shame that such a great experience was overshadowed by this.

Came here for lunch on the slopes (did not stay at the hotel). The food was excellent, the views were great and the cocktails were delicious. Staff were great too. The interior of the hotel was really cool too. I’d definitely recommend for lunch or a little apres ski.

*PARTY HOTEL* This hotel is in a wonderful location, has excellent amenities and lovely service from staff. The breakfast is also wonderful. However do NOT stay here if you enjoy any kind of peace or quiet. Thursday, Friday and Saturday there is a very loud après party that takes place (right outside our window) and then music in the bar below until 3 am. This could all be heard from our room on the second floor and made relaxing & sleeping quite difficult. The boot room bathrooms were also quite disgusting on another note. And the spa which is great, was very messy. If you have come to Val Thorens to party this is your hotel!

Great place for a lunch on the slopes. We came a first time « by chance » (2 families with teenage kids). It was so nice we can back à couple days later. Great place for lunch.

Feels like a run down hotel that was once good. If the maintenance would be kept up, and the public spaces were a bit larger i could see it being a nice hotel. But, location is everything in val Thorens and f7s location is perfect.
