Being a lifetime Elite Member of Marriott, I've come to known all of their hotels almost identical within each category. This Fairfield Inn was just about the worst experience I've had with Marriott. I'm normally welcomed with a warm greeting from the front desk at every Fairfield Inn... oh, definitely NOT this one. I walked in after a very long day and I approached the woman at the front desk with a, "hi there! How are you?". She answers, "good". And just stares at me. I said to her that I check in via mobile a couple hours back, but it still said that it was "working on getting my mobile key ready". She says, "that's because you need to check in with me first." Umm.. ok, but that's what the app is for, as well as the mobile key, is to not have to find you at the front desk. Whatever, she must've been having a really rough day... not even a slight smile out of her.
Now it's 10:15pm and I'm sleeping. Some clown brings a dog in the hotel and, as luck may have it, is staying in the room next to me. The owner drops off his stuff (dog included) and leaves. The dog is now clawing, jumping and banging on the door from the inside, then starts barking and high-pitch whimpering. It was unbearable to listen to. So I call the front desk and let her know what was happening, I'm very good detail! (I believe her name was Chastity or Cassidy? She mumbled it, so was hard to understand. Her reply?? She says, "umm, okay." That was IT! She didn't say anything more. No mention of, "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience, sir. I will send someone to take care of this right away"... NOTHING. Now I'm STILL listening to this next door (20 minutes later). Not a single staff member has come up to even investigate.
What kind of Marriott is this? It's a joke. I frequent this hotel for business, but will certainly choose one of the surrounding hotels on my trip here next month.
Clean this place up. And by that I mean your STAFF.
