A nice brewery in suburban Alabama, I stopped on my way to Orange Beach. I arrived early on a Friday so it wasn't busy. I grabbed a seat at the bar and had several half pours while I read a little. I stuck to my usual pattern of ales and ipas. The fairhope was fairly dry, a nice departure from all the juicy/haziness I usually drink. The two IPAs I had were ok, I liked the blood orange slightly more, but neither blew me away. It's family and dog friendly, so it probably gets loud when busy. There is some outdoor seating if it isn't too hot.

Google
Great selection of beers—whether you’re into lagers, porters, sours, or seltzers, there’s something for everyone. Normally this would be an easy 5-star spot for me, but the bartender today really missed the mark. Zero personality, borderline rude. I left while she was mid-convo with a couple she clearly knew—didn’t acknowledge me once. Honestly, I’ve felt more welcome at a gas station

We’ve been here a few times and enjoyed it but this visit was a bust. Tried to order a flight and was told they don’t do flights on band nights because it’s “overwhelming.” (Band wasn’t playing yet and the lady was literally doing nothing but staring at us waiting for us to order.) Started to order and another bartender comes over and tells us we can’t sit there because they “try to keep that area open for orders.” Then why didn’t the other bartender say something at any point while I was moving a chair over to that spot? No clue what we were going to do wrong next, so we cut our losses and left.

Buckeye B.

Google
Tried 7 beers and they were all very good. I like ipas but enjoyed them all. The Belgian wheat was amazing. Mallory made the tasting quite fun… she knows a lot about the beers and, despite being busy, found time to make everyone feel like they were regulars.

Google
Always a 5. Good service and good beers on tap. Looking forward to black Friday (hopefully this year we can get in). Didn't disappoint! So summer more seltzers and less beer... More porters and stouts needed.

Google
Beer was delicious, and the customer service was spot on. The music was great & set the vibe.

Joy B.

Google
Hubby loves a good local brew house so we hunted for one as we traveled through Fairhope. We were NOT disappointed with this one! He tried samples of IPAs and I tried a hard lemonade (as i enjoy brewery atmosphere but not beer!). We felt instantly at home and recommend this great stop.

Google
We had a great time at fairhope brewing company. We went on a Saturday night and they had live music and great beer can you really ask for more. The staff was super nice and answered all the beer questions you could have. The atmosphere was great just a ton of people have fun and drinking great beer. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Fun business with lots to offer. They have a decent beer selection. Fun atmosphere with some games and regular music.

Mary L.

Yelp
Came up here for a beer on thanksgiving night after a fun day with family- had the best bartenders- a husband and wife owner duo! Such a fun experience! Heard they're Liverpool fans, but at least they're not Arsenal fans! COYS!

Yelp
We enjoyed our visit to fair hope Brewing! We were a party of four.. drinks were cold. Service was nice.

Kelly L.

Yelp
We were so excited to visit. Planned a day around the visit. We walked in and sat at the bar, we noticed that the guests around us had empty glasses, but thought they might be leaving. The bartender came back to the bar after at least five minutes, talked to the people at the far end of the bar, looked up at our end took a drink of her beverage, didn't acknowledge any of us, with an even I'll be right back, then proceeded to walk away from the bar. When she didn't come back after 2 minutes we left without ever having a drink. If this is the experience you want you someone to have I suggest you open a package store instead so that way lack of interaction is expected. I live in Alabama but this point forward I will not recommend your brewery or drink your beer. So disappointed.

Yelp
All kinds of beers here but no food. Very crowded . Everybody is so nice! They let you try any beer you want. They have some beers that are just making an appearance and of course I found one that I loved that would be departing soon. There is always a food truck close by and we had to partake in that. I'll elaborate in another review. Great place to hang out!! They sell beer to take home also!

Kathryn H.

Yelp
We were greeted by a friendly bartender that in conversation we found out was one of the owners of the Brewery! He let us sample as many beers as we wanted. We are from Milwaukee and know our beers! Just a very nice atmosphere! Hope to be back on another visit. Thank you!
google avatar

Molly M.

Yelp
Great brews, excellent service, relaxing ambiance! No food service here but there's a restaurant across the street. Had a few tastes of some different beers that they make: German Chocolate Cake, Banana Nut Muffin, Judge Roy Bean (coffee stout)...but ended up having a pint of the I Drink; Therefore I Amber. Did not disappoint! We bought a bottle of their 10 Year Anniversary beer to take home to our beer snob (in another state). If you're traveling through Fairhope, be sure to check out this little gem!

Adrian B.

Yelp
Very friendly service, willing to work with me to find my taste. Overall, an enjoyable experience.
google avatar

Glenn M.

Yelp
We stopped in for a beer as we were only in the area for one night. I was able to sample a few and I chose an amber that was very tasty. The taproom was nice and the bartender was friendly.
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Stopped in on a rainy Friday afternoon. There were seats at the bar and open tables. Bartenders were attentive. I had the black lager and my husband the lager. Both good beers. I sampled the orange cream seltzer and the dark coffee beer both very good. We would go back.
google avatar

Brad H.

Yelp
Really cool atmosphere that reminds you of an old pub. On a Friday afternoon it was crowded, but there were open seats at the bar and after a few minutes a table opened up. They had maybe 12 selections. My wife went with a seltzer I found a nice semi sour apple flavored beer that was maybe a bit sweet. I would enjoy trying their truly sour beer, but they were out. Nice place. I would definitely go back.
google avatar

James A.

Yelp
Excellent beer selection. If you can't find something you enjoy in their menu then maybe you are not a beer drinker after all.
google avatar

AshleyMarie O.

Yelp
Adorable place inside and out, and good brews to boot! Hope farm delivery available (limited menu) and these were VERY good noms.
google avatar

Millie D.

Yelp
This local brewery had great beer, service and ambiance. No food, so plan dinner elsewhere.
google avatar

Heidi A.

Yelp
My favorite brews! Never thought I'd love a sour until I tried the Blue Steel, but here I am! However, the mimosa seltzer is my one true love at Fairhope Brewing... you need to go mainstream with that stuff!
google avatar

Jimmy K.

Yelp
Great place for a beer. My wife is a fan of the cheap sunglasses. We went on Black Friday and they had a bunch of dark beers that were excellent. The place is spacious with patio space as well. The staff is friendly and informative. If you want to try several beers, the small pours are only $3. No food on site, but you can order food in and sometimes they have food trucks.
google avatar

Hillary S.

Yelp
Amazing beer and friendly service! Stopped by for a few beers while visiting Orange Beach and it was worth the drive. Tried several beers and they were all great, and the bartender was very helpful while we were trying to figure out what to try. The wolfman was good, tart and a little sweet but I don't think I could drink a lot of it. The Back n BlackBerry went down waaay too easy, as well as the Cherry Springer. I think the favorites were Pepper Brooks and There Will Be Blood. Hoppy, a little fruity and delicious! Great experience all around here and I definitely recommend stopping in.
google avatar

Alice K.

Yelp
Live music was great, the Grateful Dead cover dead was playing. Bartender knew his stuff and gave a great recommendation for an IPA. Energy was fantastic and locals were friendly.
google avatar

Bonita S.

Yelp
Fairhope Brewery is a less known treasure. And no it's not an exaggeration. From the clever names to the outstanding beers it's a win-win. We are dark beet aficionados. Rich, robust with a deep flavor finish. And this micro brewery delivers. As if Erin, our "person in charge" wasn't enough, the flight of beer made us now devotees. In fact we didn't just leave with 2 of our favorites, we left with beer for St Patrick's Day! Honestly you'd do yourself an injustice to miss out on a chance to experience some of the best micro brew (the only way to go) beer selections available. They even have music at night! The facility is clean, shoot, it even smells good! Check it out your next trip to the area.
google avatar

Kelie F.

Yelp
Popped in for a quick beer at this great hidden gem. Quaint place with a lot of great beers on tap. Found a few that we liked and will definitely be returning. Great music, nice atmosphere as well.
google avatar

B.J. N.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Excellent selection of draft beer that is not for sale in the stores. Food truck onsite that smells incredibly delicious. This place even has a kid's corner for the kiddos. I highly recommend this brewery!

Kelly R.

Yelp
Ok we love this brewery! This was our second time going here as we are just passing through the area again. Erin served us again and she is amazing. She handled the entire bar by herself! No one was in a rush so everything was just chill. We tried the new Bayway IPA which was delicious. They have several selections to choose from and their Take the Causeway is our second favorite. Something for everyone here! Will definitely be on our return to brewery every time we come through the area!
google avatar

Connie B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and better brews! All delightfully creative, interesting and very distinctly different. Tried the Moscow Mule seltzer and WHOA. Whole new level of wonderful.
google avatar

Anne S.

Yelp
Lots of really good choices. Nice staff and facility. We got there near closing time on a Sunday so didn't have a chance to try everything we wanted and were sad that they are not open on Monday :( Will be back next time we are in the area!
google avatar

Randall R.

Yelp
This is a great local brewery currently offering 15 beers on tap. All pints are only $5. The place is roomy and has a lot of room for gathering with friends and families for private events or the local football game.

F G.

Yelp
We visited the Fairhope brewery on Jan 15th 2023 when they required a $15 cover charge just to buy a beer. I understand it was the brewery 10th anniversary, but cover charge ... really?
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
Solid beers and friendly staff. One of the better brewery experiences (and best tasting beer) we had on our road trip. Food delivered from across the street is quick and tasty. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Michael K.

Yelp
Really cool spot if in fair hope. Good beer. Food truck or if lucky like us, a beignet truck! Had a good time. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. Golden tee available.
google avatar

T M.

Yelp
We had flights and every beer was good which was surprising since we had watermelon, jalapeño, coffee, blackberry and various others. Service was good too and local folks are friendly.

William P.

Yelp
We enjoyed with fun flavors and beer choices. Staff and customers are friendly. Enjoyable place to hang out. Atmosphere pleasant.
google avatar

Hannah M.

Yelp
While I was out with some friends, I got to try the Judge Roy Bean on tap. Trying it blindly, I didn't know what the taste would be, but I've only heard great things of Fairhope Brewing. It tasted like an amazing cold brew coffee which made me love it even more. The word "bean" obviously took part in the flavor making and I'm so happy it did. I went in and got one of their crowler cans full of my new favorite beer! Also, I got an amazing sticker that is a spin-off of a great Alabama classic. IFYKYK
google avatar

Mo M.

Yelp
I'm not a huge craft beer fan so I don't have an opinion on the beers; however, there are plenty of places to sit and long tables to get together with friends to catch-up and enjoy a home brewed beer that is brewed right here on the premises. Totally enjoyed the music of Tim Higgins while we were hanging out at the bar. Good music and a cool air conditioned place to hang out. There is no food to purchase but I can see in the chalkboard Food Truck: Porterhouse and other food trucks that are scheduled to come by at a scheduled time....doesn't seem that there is a regular schedule though. I'm not familiar with this area but I'm told that you can buy food nearby and bring it in here to eat with your beer.
google avatar

Joy T.

Yelp
Great beer, great staff, great environment. Enough said! Lucky to be there yesterday for the release of Tolll Free IPA a top-notch beer. Hopefully one day their beers will be available on the East Coast. From your Pennsylvania fans.

Yelp
Been a while since I wrote a review... I've also been here A LOT more times since I wrote the last one and wow, things have only gotten better! The owner's and staff could not be more welcoming. They are living the dream there brewing beer and having their old and new friends stop by for a $5 pint (that includes tax). Every week you can expect something new at the brewery whether it be a band, trivia, new beer release, food trucks, dog adoption, yoga, or our monthly 51 club meetings. OOPS! I don't know if that was a secret or not but if you live near by then see if you can get to be friends with someone in the 51 club... They might end up letting you sign up for the yearly enrollment! Since I first visited on day one they have come out with a whole lot of beers and even hired a new head brewer and more staff! A bottling line has been added last year so you could buy your favorite FBC beer in the store. Now, thanks to the government overlords relinquishing their control, Alabama breweries are now able to sell beer for you to take home and enjoy! Stop by and and have one of my favorites. (Lil' Poison Brown Ale was brewed with a local singer/song writer named Grayson Capps. Check out his song while you drink a lil' posion 'fore you die!) Then take home your favorite beer on tap in a Crowler or bomber (like the Maverick) or a 6 pack of any of their staples. I know you will enjoy it and maybe I'll see you there sometime!
google avatar

James G.

Yelp
Whenever I find myself in Fairhope, you can bet on it that I'll make at least one trip to the brewery. Over the years their quality and selection keeps improving. It is always busy when I come by, which sort of makes me miss those less busy days of prior years. But if you make a good product like these guys do, it's only gonna bring more over to the yard. Keep it up, and consider expanding the tap room itself.
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
My husband, who is an amateur brewer, has been begging me to take him to Fairhope Brewing Company for a long time. Every time we would attempt to go, we assumed it was too crowded. Let me tell you, the building and pet friendly patio are plenty big enough to house a large group of people comfortably. Don't let a bunch of cars stop you from stopping in. Now, onto the brew. It's first class! They have a great selection of beer on tap. I don't care for a lot of hops or IPA. The hubs loves it. The cider and blonde were my favorites. He likes the Judge Roy Bean, which I believe is coffee infused, and the Take the Causeway. He was also particularly fond of the Rescued Red, each glass of which benefits BARC, the local humane society. They have a nice selection of beer, and everyone is sure to find one they love. There is a window behind the bar so you can see the huge stainless steel fermentation tanks where the beer is made. They do offer tours of the brewery on certain days. They also host trivia weekly. How much fun would that be? I already have a name picked out for a trivia team and I haven't been yet!

Yelp
Great brewery! My husband and I visited on a Friday night while on a weekend getaway to Fairhope. Great bartenders and clean and neat hangout

Kelly B.

Yelp
I love having a brewery in my town. Great flavors to choose from. Atmosphere is good. I wish the political minions would get out of the old Bible Belt mentality and allow breweries to serve food. Keep up the great work in brewed amazing beers!!! CHEERS!!!
google avatar

Linda J.

Yelp
Happened upon this place on a random Thursday night. They were in the middle of trivia. Everyone could t have been nicer about helping us get seated and caught up with the game. Such nice people! And wonderful beer!! Will definitely be back when we are in town!
google avatar

Alice S.

Yelp
Great beer, awesome atmosphere and delightful bartenders. Whether you are a local or from out of town you will feel right at home! Judge Roy Bean and Kingslayer are two of my favorite beers here. Stop in, you won't be disappointed. And you might be lucky enough to hear live music.
google avatar

Beth M.

Yelp
Cool spot to check out during our four-day trip to Mobile over 4th of July weekend (we went to all the breweries available!). I really liked the Amber - ended up buying a few 6 packs from the local Greer's store, and the space was neat, but the staff was not too friendly.
google avatar

Roaming E.

Yelp
Loved this place. Really cool vibe. Clean, neat, great place to hang out. Facilities could easily cater to any of your beer drinking, hanging out needs. Beers were good, too. Not all; but that's all dependent on taste. You'll find something you like and enjoy drinking it there. Bartender was cool too. Not as engaging as she could've been, but was friendly and checked on us regularly. Picked up a 6 to go as it was really good. My reason for 4 stars? When I ask for a sample, give me a sample. This barely an oz of liquid was insulting. It's beer. I want to know if I'll like it before I get a pint. Some beers take a bit more than a sip to determine that. Plus, when you clearly see I'm there with my wife, it's a good assumption we are going to share that sample. Making you go back for a second sample frustrated you and it was clearly evident. I'd say that on you, not me.
google avatar

Christian G.

Yelp
This place was fantastic when I visited with a group of friends. Kind and chill atmosphere! Only thing is I wish y'all had 12 packs of beer lol
google avatar

Niki W.

Yelp
Nice staff. Beers were very good. Beer prices were high. And still can't get over that they charge for brewery tours. First time I've ever experienced that.
google avatar

Bill K.

Yelp
Great Brewery, lots of seating, great IPAs. I liked the Causeway the best, Hop Hogan was good but strong. Cheap Sunglasses was a nice smooth drinking beer and Fairhope 51 is a great Pale Ale. Mallory was an excellent bartender, very nice to talk to, knew her beers and a real cutie!!! Great Brewery in a very pretty town.

Luis L.

Yelp
Subpar beer. Snooty server on 20-feb-22. Not a very welcoming place. Old Majestic Brewing (OMB) in Mobile is a much better place and serves much better beer. Servers at OMB seemed committed to their jobs, community and customers. Friendly/ welcoming staff. How it should be. Cheers!
google avatar

Bobby G.

Yelp
I tried a flight of beers and they were all excellent! Cool atmosphere and excellent beer!

Jessica B.

Yelp
I visit a lot of breweries throughout the South, Midwest and Northeast, and this one keeps up. The Jalapeño Pale Ale was a great surprise, all the flavor of a jalapeño, none of the heat. I took home their habanero, mango sour to try, which I'm told has the heat I love. Overall, good craft brewery, worth the trip from Mobile. Their Shady Beach beer is a great summer beach beer for sure. Will be back to see what's new whenever I roll in for a visit.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
FBC has a great atmosphere & tap room with a super friendly staff. The hours during the pre-grand opening are a bit strange, just Thursday-Saturday 530-8. They have the right idea, but their beer surely needs some work. The 'Everyday Ale' tasted as though it were from a $40 homebrew 'Mr. Beer' kit, absolutely awful. I mentioned concern to the guy behind the bar and he assured me that everyone, including himself, loved this particular beer. I am no beer connoisseur but I know a bad beer when I taste it. It tasted premature and must hold the record for the lowest gravity 'ale' ever at just 3.8% abv. (FYI- Bud Light has an abv of 4.2%) The Section Street Wheat is the way go right now. I look forward, or not, to their Black Painted IPA scheduled for tapping next weekend. As of now, all pints are $5 inclusive of tax, not too bad.
