All the MICHELIN Key Hotels in the Philippines

"In the heart of Makati’s financial district, Fairmont Makati rises as a modern sanctuary of comfort and polish: spacious rooms and suites pair understated elegance with sweeping city views, marble bathrooms and Le Labo amenities. I appreciated the palm-fringed pool, the Fairmont Spa and the hotel’s stylish restaurants and bars, and Fairmont guests also enjoy shared privileges with neighboring Raffles Makati, including access to the storied Long Bar and the elegant Writers Bar for afternoon tea or evening cocktails." - The MICHELIN Guide

Fairmont Makati (Manila, Metro Manila) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In Metro Manila’s financial hub of Makati, a luxury tower houses two distinct hotels — and guests at either get the best of both worlds. Fairmont Makati is the larger of the two, with spacious, elegant rooms and suites featuring king-sized beds, floor-to-ceiling windows with city skyline views, and marble bathrooms stocked with Le Labo products. Highlights are what you’d expect from the brand: a sparkling swimming pool surrounded by palm trees and sunbeds, a light-filled 24-hour fitness center, the signature Fairmont Spa, and a collection of upscale restaurants and bars. But guests can also access the amenities at Raffles Makati next door, including, most notably, the art-filled Long Bar and the character-filled Writers Bar, a swanky spot for afternoon tea or evening cocktails." - Tablet Hotels

Excellent location in Makati, close to high-end shops and great restaurants. The hotel is quiet and beautifully maintained. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, delivering world-class service. Shout out to Lizel at the Cafe Macaron Lounge for her exceptional hospitality and attentiveness, making our dining experience memorable. Valet staff were amazing and friendly. Thanks to Yzon for his great smile and service. Will stay again in the future.

Recently stayed at Fairmont Makati and was very impressed by our experience (from the welcome to departure, the whole process was super seamless). We stayed in the corner suite which had a gorgeous layout and views and was massive. The gym was one of the best out of all hotels we've stayed at. The hotel was a very close walk to the shopping centres with so many food options nearby. The breakfast buffet options were plentiful and so were the options up in the Fairmont gold executive lounge. The executive lounge was very spacious and offered a great variety of food and drinks during happy hour (the cucumber cocktail and long island were phenomenal). The lemon meringue was very delicious. The staff were all very attentive, hospitable and efficient. Fairmont Makati is a must if you find yourself in Manila and plan on shopping and just want a relaxing time.

We had a very nice stay at Fairmont Hotel Makati. The amenities were well-maintained, and the Platinum food and beverage access made the stay even more enjoyable. The lounge access was excellent—relaxing and well-served. A big thank you to Gov, Alfred, and Joyce at the front desk for assisting us during check-in and check-out. Their attentiveness and professionalism set a great tone for our stay.

Google
Fairmont Makati is great. Nicely appointed hotel rooms with useful features like the control panel where you can operate some of the lights, manage the A/C, and turn on the do not disturb or room ready for cleaning lights. Door bell is also a nice touch. The gold lounge is very convenient for folks on the 7th and 8th floors, with breakfast, non-alcoholic drinks throughout the day, hors d'oeuvre in the evening, and a boardroom if you need. All that said, my favourite part was the staff. Always friendly, always eager to help. They make a point of getting to know their guests, which leads to a more pleasant stay.

Upon entry to the hotel, there was no visible signage that if headed to Fairmont must turn right at the barrier. It is my first time driving to the hotel. I had to make the 360 turn. Straight to Raffles, left, right then right again. It was full parking so I had to make do with valet so my senior parents, myself, and partner can check in and finally have late lunch. Rooms were fully equipped and we appreciate the early check in of an hour given the MMFF parade and Christmas rush. Buffet was an enjoyable selection and we had hefty brunch. Driving back home and at stop over along expressway, that’s when I noticed the 3 scratches on my car front passenger side. When it was handed over to me from valet, no checklist, no walk about. I am curious if the hotel is at full parking, where do the cars get parked? Why was it not mentioned from return? If valet advised it before leaving, I could have let it pass but not mentioning anything was annoying. In general, it was a memorable treat for my parents who haven’t gone back home in years and that made it memorable

This is not our first time in Fairmont Hotel. We love going back to Fairmont because of everything about it is very nice. My kids love the room and the pool! The don't want to leave the hotel. Room is spacious, bed is comfortable and bathroom is clean! The location is very accessible to the mall. The staff are very friendly and nice. We will keep on coming back to Fairmont Hotel.

As an Accor member since 2019, I've stayed at numerous properties worldwide, holding both Silver and Gold status. I have consistently experienced excellent hospitality, which unfortunately made my recent stay as a Platinum member at this hotel fall short of expectations. I observed an issue that, to be honest, I find common in the Philippines (much like at Sofitel previously). The staff were notably friendlier and more attentive to foreign guests, while offering what felt like the bare minimum of service to locals. Aside from the kind birthday setup, the engagement felt impersonal. This was particularly disappointing because a close friend from another country had a vastly different "Fairmont Gold" experience (which was also a Suite Night Upgrade and the reason I booked two nights). My stay did not compare. I found myself having to call two or three times for simple requests, and the service was generally slow. It made me wonder if this was related to my booking being an SNU, and perhaps treated differently because I hadn't paid the full rate. On a minor note, parking was difficult and reminded me of Joy Nostalg in Ortigas back in the day. However, this wasn't a major issue, and I was grateful they offered valet service. Checkout, at least, was a breeze. I left a few minutes before my 11 AM agreed time, the earliest I've ever had to depart from an Accor property. It seems that corner suite is very popular and must have back-to-back bookings.

Google
The location is convenient, rooms spacious, and overall efficient. Cons: Small lobby that lacks the grand lobby bar experience you come to expect from hotels in Manila and there’s a curious, cleaning-liquid like smell in the hallway and rooms. Pros: Hyper responsive concierge who arranged transportation. Star of the property: Their spa team. Sensational treatments at insane prices — we would have paid double for the caliber of massages and scrubs.

Yelp
We were able to snag a gold room in one of the gold floor. We love love the staff here. Friendly and kind staff all around. We love the breakfast at the lounge and happy hour as well. I was able to enjoy the spa, got lucky to get an incredible massage. We enjoyed the pool as well. Situated in a nice area. Near the mall and near all these amazing restaurants! Very very clean and we feel very comfortable. A home away from home.

Yelp
This hotel is centrally located in Makati. The service is exceptional, and the hotel is always clean and welcoming. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds and plenty of amenities.

Yelp
From the moment my family and I stepped into the Fairmont Hotel we were impressed with the impeccable service . The staff at your hotel were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay . The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning. Big kudos to JV, concierge for being so incredibly attentive, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask . We were completely impressed with his professionalism. The overall experience was truly unforgettable. We can't wait to come back to your hotel .

Yelp
I can't say enough nice things about this property! Excellent staff and location. It's a relatively new hotel so everything is nice and shiny and works like it should. I arrived after a late flight at 11:45 and was hungry and the bar/restaurant (which was supposed to close at midnight) stayed late to make sure I was fed. That would never happen anywhere else I've stayed before. The rooms are clean and modern and the bed was comfy. There was a safe, fridge, coffee maker, and (my favorite!) a plush bathrobe. The breakfast buffet (included with room) was amazing and one of the best I've ever seen. The pool has a bar that serves food and is a calming oasis in the middle of the big city. As with everyone in the hotel, service was impeccable. I will never stay anywhere else in Manila and I wish there were more hotels like it across the world. But if that were the case, it wouldn't be special, then, would it?

Yelp
Classy at its best . Room has high ceilings . Room decor is a far far better than we have in the US . The Jewel of this Hotel are the people who works here . From the Doorman to almost everyone you meet .They Greet you. First impression would definitely last as only in Asia I've experienced this kind of very warm ALOHA.. .Being from San Francisco. Fairmont Makati is way way above with its customer service compared to Fairmont San Francisco!!!!

Yelp
What a nice upscale hotel in Makita. The buffet was decent that came with the room with some variety of items. The coffee only so so for some reason but self service cappuccino machine was much better. The bed was excellent in comfort as was size of room. Excellent room staff.

Yelp
Beds super comfy. Free WiFi. The water pressure is seriously harsh ( in a good way ) & the bath products are silky and smell great The bar serves super delish drinks - the Makati Sling is drool worthy and their breakfast buffet if no joke. It's the biggest I've ever seen & has all options for Western & Eastern diners alike What didn't make this a perfect stay for me, centered around the elevators.....their security systems need some help. My key card didn't work 2 of the 3 days for the elevator & even when the front desk came with me to access my floor, the request would cancel out mid-journey and I'd have to go all the way back downstairs I also made the rookie travel mistake and didn't check the alarm clock so I got a nice unexpected 5am wake up call. Would be great if housekeeping checked these things after the previous guests check out! Other than that, very enjoyable & would not prevent me from booking again

Yelp
I stayed here for 7 days for work and what I can say is that the service has been completely impeccable from everyone... from those who check you in, to those who clean your room, to your wait staff in the restaurant/bar, to those who open the door as you enter/exit the hotel, to the security staff checking cars coming in, to the pool and gym staff greeting you. It's quite impressive on how consistent the service quality is honestly. The room is very nice and spacious as well and the bed super comfy. The gym and pool are on the 4th floor and give you a fantastic view of the bustling city. Definitely check them out. They also give you a bottle of water and towel when you hit the gym. The breakfast buffet is also fantastic. There are SO many options, it's slightly overwhelming, and the options change daily. Options range anywhere from a whole coconut, fresh smoothies upon request, freshly baked goodies, cheese and cured meat options, salad bar, the usual eggs/potatoes of all types, dim sum foods, fresh noodle soup bar, various Philippine and Indian dishes. Yeah, very overwhelming. And that's just breakfast! Check out the hotel bars as well. Fantastic well made drinks with cozy lounge chairs. You can also reserve a driver if you're wanting to explore areas a little farther away. And then you just pay by the hour so it's really convenient so you don't have to rely on sketch taxis. The hotel is definitely a little on the pricier side for what you can get elsewhere but definitely worth it!

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights at room 507. We were upgraded to include breakfast for two and access to the Fairmont Gold Lounge at 7th Floor for P2500 or USD50 per night. This hotel is strategically located in Makati. Near to restaurants and shopping as it is connected to 4 shopping malls thru its basement. We were really pampered during our stay here. Very good staffs that provide helpful, friendly, and attentive service. Very good breakfast at Spectrum with good variety and at Gold Lounge with more privacy.

Yelp
Beautiful Holiday experience here at the Fairmont, Makati. We were toying with staying at the Raffles (more upscale rooms) but honestly so glad we opted not to. We were so pleasantly impressed by our accommodations; room 422 did not disappoint. Ceilings must have been over 20 feet, linens were silky and luxurious, bathroom was expansive and was exquisitely appointed with marble. Tons of amenities at the hotel; Lobby Bar, Macaroon Café, Spa, Pool, Impressive Breakfast Buffet/Dining Restaurant. Location is phenomenal across the street from Greenbelt Mall. Staff was friendly, accommodating, engaging and absolutely Top Notch.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. I enjoyed every moment we had stayed here and I highly recommend this place to everyone. The respect and service you get is beyond words that I can explain. From the time you get off your vehicle to when your come thru the open doors and to your room. We had stayed on the seventh floor in the presidential suite and Love the Mirienda and cocktail hours of the day. The breakfast downstairs is awesome. It was my Fiancé first experience and to visit the Philippines and staying at the Fairmont Hotel is not too much of a culture shock to him. I love how they know when prepare your bed at night and they are just very attended to your needs. It was a good call for us to stay here and thank all the staff that made this experience a exceptional one. I would stay here again in the future.

Yelp
Swanky banquet hall and cushy rooms with luxurious trappings. All in all, it's a rather businesslike hotel, albeit a very nice one. Having visited other Fairmonts, this is not my favorite, and it's not the most budget hotel around. But is quite conveniently located if you're doing short term business in Makati and don't want to fight Manila traffic on the regular.

Yelp
The Fairmont Makati my favourite hotel in Makati, having stayed 14 nights in 2015 which more than qualified me for the Premier status in Fairmont Presidents Club, the hotel chain's loyalty program. It's serene luxury with only 280 rooms in the property and is relatively tranquil and exclusive compared to the larger hotels in the area such as; Makati Shangri-la's 696 rooms and New World Makati's 584 rooms nearby. Sharing the same breakfast venue with Raffles Hotel, Spectrum does a marvellous job of fulfilling the expectations of it's guests from the two luxury hotel brands. The Gold Lounge from my estimate was around 400 square meters with an ambiance that is both cozy and classy. The snacks are beautifully presented and of course delicious. Since I arrived around 5pm they we're about to change the selection for the Evening Hors D'oeuvres. The champagne and good selection of food was enough to satisfy my appetite. The Golden Lullaby which starts at 9pm presented a small collection of cakes, chocolates, and sweets that completed my day. My experience with Fairmont Hotel Makati didn't begin at the hotel itself, but at airport where I was greeted by two representatives from the hotel. They escorted my to the car promptly parked on Bay 7 right at exit of the arrival area. The chauffeur was standing by the car eagerly ready to open door for me to step in the hotel's white BMW 7 Series. The next morning I ventured to Spa on 4th floor to use the hotel's complimentary mineral pool.

Yelp
Have you ever wanted to be treated like Royalty? The answer is the Fairmont Makati. From when you exit your vehicle, greeted by the bell hops, the concierge, the welcoming, everything at this hotel is just filled with so much warmth that you might never want to leave. On my first and recent visit to the Philippines, my father talked of his second home, the Fairmont Makati, and to my surprise it became my second home. The lobby is decorated sophisticated and modern, and everyone is ready to fetch your bag, say hello, or ask if you need help. As you sit in the lobby, and of course order your Mango juice because you realize, duh You're in Manila, the server also presents you with some yummy snacks, wasabi chips, peanuts, and high class service. Within our stay we also had access to the Breakfast Buffet complete with all your Traditional Filipino Dishes, some Dim Sum, Fresh Fruit including yours truly, Mango as well as all your American stables-bacon-eggs-sausage, there was really no room to eat the rest of the day. The room we had came with a beautiful view of the trendy business area of Makati, the polished pool, and sunsets in the evening. Not to mention the pool has a deal all you can drink happy hour for 495 pesos aka $10! You can beat it, a little San Miguel here, a little San Miguel everywhere. As far as the room goes, high thread count sheets, fluffy pillows, ultra luxury rainfall shower along with a giant tub, slippers and robes to lay in while watching your high definition flat screen. Needless to say ladies and gents, and again I say if you wanted to be treated like Royalty, stay at the Fairmont Makati.

Yelp
This is my favorite hotel in Manila. Low key but high end. Service is top notch. Your business is appreciated. The bathroom is so luxurious you don't want to leave. The accoutrements are amazing. Slippers and bathrobes and the best soap and shampoo in any 5 star hotels. The bed is so comfortable you don't want to get up! Forgot toothbrush? They got you covered. I do t use it but it nice that they provide it.

Yelp
Amazing staff. After traveling through visyias and Palawan we got to Manila on our last leg of the trip. My daughter said it best "It feels like home Daddy". The buffet was extensive and plentiful. The location is great and the buildings is pretty new. We enjoyed the pool at night as well as the gym. The staff are amazingly interactive and helpful. Getting us Grab cabs and arranging rides back after being at the mall of Asia. Again the staff always make it 5 stars no matter the property.

Steve B.

Yelp
Great service from start to finish. Staff is attentive and polite. The hotel is in a great location where high end stores are close by and lots of close dining options. I felt iffy walking around since a few people have told me to be careful with personal items such as jewelry and purses but this location was in a good area that I had no qualms and walked around the 3 days I was there. Gym was small but water bottles or iced water were readily available. The only issue were the pillows . It's way too soft that piling on 4 still didn't work for me. Thanks for acknowledging my mom's birthday and sending up a cake to room 803!

Yelp
I stayed here when it just opened and I wasn't living in Manila at the time. I stayed 1 night at the raffles and 1 night at Fairmont, which seemed like a fun experience to me, because it's just the same building anyway. They also share the amazing lap pool, which has barely any people in it. The fairmont was cheaper but the quality was almost on par with that of raffles. The service staff was very well spoken and well trained. The check in was very smooth and when we got into our room we were pleasantly surprised how this hotel finally brought international hotel standards to Manila. Fresh, modern, luxurious from the bathroom to the bedroom and the common area's.

Yelp
Three words characterize the Fairmont Hotel in Makati: flawless, tasteful, and understated. Not cheap but then you get what you pay for. In this case, excellent service, really friendly and helpful staff, and a very superior room. Over the years traveling in Asia I have gotten used to what I can best describe as an international standard consisting of large marble lined lobbies complete with chandeliers and grand stairways leading to whatever. If you want that stay at the Shangri-La Hotel, which just down the road from the the Fairmont. I have to admit that in first stepping into the Fairmont I was somewhat underwhelmed. However, do not rely on first impressions. I assure it is worth the money. In a sense you get two hotels for the price of one when you stay in the Fairmont. It adjoins the Raffles Hotel. The two hotels are in the same building. You can use facilities of the Raffles as well as the Fairmont. In regard to the Raffles this includes the Long Bar which is a reduced version of the Raffle's Long Bar in Singapore. I assume, although I did not test this out, you can use the Raffles' pool as well as the Fairmont's pool. Neither the Fairmont or Raffles offers anything in the way of 'fine' dinning but this is not a problem because the Greenbelt Mall is located directly across the road. This is a very up market mall and has a number of outstanding restaurants located within it. I mean really outstanding both in terms of food and ambiance. The Fairmont is also located next to the Glorietta Mall which is somewhat less upmarket but provides extensive shopping opportunities. I should add that the Greenbelt and Glorietta Malls rank as some of the largest in the world. One last point: the wifi was excellent and free.
