1215

"Named after the date of the signing of the Magna Carta 'down the road' in Runnymede, this elegant restaurant can be found in the slightly labyrinthine Fairmont Windsor Park Hotel. Choose from two lengths of tasting menu or the à la carte, all of which feature prime British ingredients like Suffolk lamb, Torbay crab and vegetables from their own estate. The chefs treat this produce with an unfussy approach, resulting in enjoyably pared-back dishes. Service is smooth and, if you’re dining as a couple, ask for one of the semi-circular booths." - Michelin Inspector

Just returned today from a three-night stay. The main purpose of our trip was to stay somewhere close to Lapland, and we came across Fairmont by chance while searching online. What an incredible discovery! The hotel is absolutely stunning, set in a beautiful location, with friendly and welcoming staff, delicious dining options, and a luxurious, immaculate room. Absolutely delightful.||The schedule of children’s activities that are available throughout the whole day is quite extraordinary. I haven’t seen anything like this in other hotels — we would return just for this alone. There was a wide range of festive, creative activities including making snow globes, Christmas wreaths, gingerbread houses and even bath bombs. The children were also treated to a visit from a magician and an animal expert, who brought along a variety of reptiles. My 8 and 5-year-old children were absolutely thrilled to have the chance to have a snake around their necks — an unforgettable experience and we have some brilliant photos!||We enjoyed using the 24 hour gym and the spa which also has children's swim times. We loved the stunning Christmas decorations throughout the hotel. Thank you so much, Fairmont, for such a wonderful festive stay. We hope to return in the summer!

The staff in Bar 1215 and at breakfast were very helpful, warm, and welcoming, which we really appreciated and was a definite highlight of our stay. However, unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing, especially given that we were celebrating our honeymoon. At check-in, there was no acknowledgement or greeting regarding this special occasion, despite it being clearly noted on our booking and communicated a month in advance. This felt quite disheartening. When we arrived at our room, it was noticeably dusty and felt as though no extra care or attention had gone into preparing it. While we did appreciate the small cake and petals, for a five-star hotel we expected more — even something simple like a bottle of sparkling wine would have made the experience feel more special. Our use of the spa was also a letdown. The jacuzzi was not working, which was very disappointing. The spa had run out of robes, so we had to bring our own from the room. The coffee machine in the relaxation area was not working properly, and the indoor pool was cold. Altogether, these issues did not live up to the Fairmont name or its five-star status. Overall, the stay was a letdown. We chose this hotel for a very special occasion and, having paid over £450, we left feeling disappointed and quite heartbroken by the experience.

A Unique Experience! Fantastic hotel in an incredible park, far enough from the noise of the big city, but also not far from it. The hotel is a real masterpiece! A Jewel of its own! Beautiful rooms, extremely comfortable beds, large bathrooms and high quality amenities. The breakfast is also excellent with an incredible offer to satisfy anyone. Very spacious lounges, library, bars and in particular all the exteriors. Everything is taken care at the highest level to make you feel at home away from home. All the staff is very collaborative and friendly, the doormen are fantastic and they are really kind in telling you all the stories about the place. We look forward to get back soon! I visited with my family and we really enjoyed every single moment!

Stayed at the Fairmont Windsor Park with my husband and 2 sons (5yrs and 21 months). We absolutely loved it. Rooms were spacious and clean. Lots of free tea & coffee. Although no biscuits which was somewhat surprising. Breakfast was superb - loved that there was an a la carte menu on top of buffet service. Lots of activities for the kids. Excellent service overall. Fab decor too

Sharnila and Jas have been amazing! Seriously I ended up booking this as a last minute thing as I had a flight the next day after just arriving. I usually stay at the Sofitel, and I have to admit that the experience brought by people like Sharnila and Jas have really made this one of my favourite hotels to stay at! I also got to experience an Indian wedding and loved it! The rooms are spacious, the food impeccable and the staff are great. The attentiveness of staff members like Sharnila and Jas did make it an excellent stay! Truly worth the money. One tip though, just make sure not to swim during children’s hours as it can be jarring for some people (children ran frequently to the jacuzzi) and all of the beds were occupied. My current partner has children and love children to bits, but when you just want quiet time and chill, best to do it outside of children hours. It also is a great place to meet customers and clients and did impress a customer of mine when I invited them! Overall it is a great place to relax, chill and do what is needed.

Our wedding could only have been the special day it was with the incredible service from all at the Fairmont where nothing was too much of a challenge for them and the small details were treated as imperative. The venue is stunning and made for a day that we and all of our guests will always remember. The food was delicious and it outdid our expectations. Behind it all was our wedding manager there in Helen McMinn whom was an absolute diamond to work with. She pulled out all of the stops for us and made us feel like it was the most important event they had ever hosted. We are so grateful for the whole experience.

We booked the Fairmont Windsor specifically for peace, comfort, and rest ahead of an early international flight. What we experienced was the complete opposite. From the outset, public areas were effectively taken over by a group of guests whose behaviour showed no regard whatsoever for other people in the hotel. The bar became loud, chaotic, and uncomfortable — entirely at odds with what anyone paying premium rates would reasonably expect. The situation deteriorated further late at night. After finally falling asleep, we were woken by children running through the corridors ringing room doorbells repeatedly. This continued long enough to make getting back to sleep extremely difficult, if not impossible. What makes this unacceptable is not simply the behaviour itself, but the total absence of effective management. There was no visible attempt to control the situation, enforce basic standards, or protect other guests’ right to rest. A hotel of this supposed calibre should not allow a small number of guests to completely ruin the experience for everyone else. This was not a one-off disturbance — it was a failure of supervision, authority, and responsibility. Paying premium prices should not mean tolerating conditions more akin to a budget hostel. The building is attractive, and some staff were polite, but that does not compensate for a night defined by noise, disruption, and poor control. We will not be returning, and we would strongly caution anyone expecting a peaceful stay.

We had a lovely afternoon tea at The Fairmont Windsor park , served by Anderian who was absolutely wonderful. The service was excellent, with halal options available. My 5-year-old son loved the place. A warm, welcoming atmosphere and truly memorable experience. Highly recommended. And the area is so wonderful
