1215

"Named after the date of the signing of the Magna Carta 'down the road' in Runnymede, this elegant restaurant can be found in the slightly labyrinthine Fairmont Windsor Park Hotel. Choose from two lengths of tasting menu or the à la carte, all of which feature prime British ingredients like Suffolk lamb, Torbay crab and vegetables from their own estate. The chefs treat this produce with an unfussy approach, resulting in enjoyably pared-back dishes. Service is smooth and, if you’re dining as a couple, ask for one of the semi-circular booths." - Michelin Inspector

This hotel is truly stunning, set amidst beautiful countryside surroundings. I can't comment on the rooms as I only stopped by for a few drinks, but all the staff we interacted with were incredibly polite and friendly. The bar was understandably busy on a Saturday evening, but the atmosphere remained relaxed and welcoming. There’s the option to sit indoors or outside, which adds to the laid-back vibe. Excellent selection of drinks, especially whiskies. I’ll definitely be returning!

Please note that this review is based on accommodation during a business event, with no public access. Commenting strictly on the hotel and room - the hotel is fantastic, the grounds are extremely well maintained, and the staff are approachable and helpful. There are great facilities throughout the hotel. However, being under the flight path is distracting when outside. I stayed in a double room and it was very large. The beds were king-size, soft, and well presented. The bathroom was very large, with a shower, bath, and private toilet. TV audio played via the bathroom speakers, which was quite nice. Other than the flight path, my only concern was noises during the night. I went to bed very late, and above me, I could hear pipes or the air conditioning system banging. Given the cost of each room, I am surprised by this. My room also had a balcony, which wasn't particularly soundproof, with the outside event space being dismantled and the noise waking me.

What a beautiful hotel, in an amazing setting. Great if you like watching planes. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and nothing was too much trouble. Our suite was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable. Only 4 for location as it took an hour and a half to travel 30 miles. Just love London traffic.

The hotel is very nice with good surroundings. However, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Tony, the main doorman, was a gent. The waitress and waiters were really helpful and accommodating as we're the main desk. They even extended our checkout just from chat we had in the corridor.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and efficient - we would particularly praise Daphney in the 1215 bar and lounge. She was very friendly and attentive. The hotel was so very clean and perfect, well done to all the cleaning team! The only improvement would be having special candles outside on the Terrace to deter flies and wasps as there were many. We hope to come back in the future.

A truly exceptional hotel. Attentive service, excellent surroundings and wonderful facilities. There is simply no where like this from the restaurant options to the spa and leisure facilities. Rooms are luxurious and spotless. Already looking forward to the return.

We stayed at the fairmont to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. We’ve been fortunate enough to stay at amazing hotels but this exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived every single member of staff was so welcoming and professional. The spa was a very high standard. Food was very tasty and well presented. The staff made us feel so special. We dined in 1215 all the waiting staff were knowledgeable service impeccable. We didn’t get all names but special thanks to Maladen and Daphney.||Honestly couldn’t fault a thing and the special touches they made for our anniversary were so kind and thoughtful. We will be back!!

As I was hitting 40, I thought I would return to my favourite hotel in the UK. On this visit I attended with my wife, kids, parents and two close friends. Staying in a balcony suite was lovely and the room as always was clean and well presented.||We enjoyed a few drinks on the terrace before dinner, and it was lovely to see many of the old bar staff still around including Orlando who made a fantastic cocktail. For dinner we had Head Chef Tim do a chef table and 6 courses that were divine, he even included a dish I rave about (duck parfait) that literally I crave while writing this. Would recommend this to anyone who visits. All the other courses were amazing and could eat them again. Thanks Tim and the team for organizing this.||The following day we were very busy so only managed to have a few drinks in the hotel as was out most of the day, but the spa facilities are still top notch and again it was nice to see familiar staff there.||No criticism at all, and on this occasion I can’t provide any constructive feedback for improvement.
