I was passing through the area and needed to stop by a grocery store. After searching “grocery stores near me,” this location came up as the closest. The meat selection was very good and the prices were reasonable. However, my experience at checkout was extremely disappointing. The cashier did not greet me at all. She and another coworker were having a conversation, and she never looked up or acknowledged me. When she finished ringing up my items, she didn’t tell me my total and continued talking to her coworker as if I wasn’t standing there. I paused before paying, hoping she would acknowledge me, but she never did. As much as I needed those items, I walked out. I refuse to spend my money in an environment that feels discriminatory. I have heard stories about racism in Pelahatchie, but experiencing it firsthand was truly heartbreaking, especially in 2025.

Good country market with some great sales not a huge place but some gems on the weekly fliers.

I love this locally owned grocery store. Better prices on meat than Kroger and Walmart. If they don’t have it, they’ll cut it. I hope for them they have more business, but for me, I like the low crowds and easy in and out of this place.

This store is good. The people that work up there is friendly. Prices can be a little pricey at times. This store is kept up clean and the cashiers ring up your items fast. The store is kept in great condition and the food/meat is fresh.

They have huge uncut beef filet for $9.99 a lb. I just purchased a 6 lb filet and lots of others unique foods. Like crawfish mac n cheese and crab stuffed potatoes. Will definitely be back

Overcharged due to computer prices and shelf prices not matching. And meat was spoiled. We try to shop local when we're in the area visiting relatives but won't be losing any more money shopping at this place.
