Fairways Hotel Paddington

It's a very cheap hotel, I chose it over an Airbnb as its a guaranteed stay, I know I can leave my bags at the reception before and after check in. And it's adequate bedding/facilities. Beds are varied but clean, the carpet's a little dusty so Asthmatics beware. I'm very healthy so nothing has phased me. Tea and coffee + kettle is a nice touch. It's cheap and it's fine, what more would you like for the price? The receptionists are helpful and lovely too.

This is the worst hotel I stayed in. Stayed there 2 nights in July. First day, checked in and got up to the room... it's tiny, the wall/ceiling was covered in huge damp stains, there was a balcony but you couldn't go on it as the floor looked like it was rotten/damaged. And also found a dirty sock on the floor. We were right by the main road and it was quite loud.||||We asked if we could change room and we were given another room. It still wasn't brilliant but I guess all the other rooms were the same as it was quite a dated hotel. Again very small room, sink was in the room not in the bathroom, there was only a shower in the tiny bathroom which was not separated by a door to the room so the water went everywhere on the floor. Toilets were outside the room but that was fine unless you needed to pee in the middle of the night you'd be screwed as the light wasn't working!!||||No wifi, no spare towels, no shower gel just a couple of soaps, no hairdryer so I couldn't wash my hair as it is long and thick... a light wasn't working, tiny telly too..||||I would not recommend it to anyone. Just came back from Amsterdam to a much cheaper hotel and it was amazing.

A friend and I stayed here for a weekend in London last weekend and we were delighted with our room. Bit old fashioned, but the beds were so comfy! Staff were extremely friendly. Hotel central to everywhere you'd need to get to. Thanks for a great stay.

If you're looking for a place to rest your head at night and are not into the frills etc of a hotel this is a place for you as it is quite old & dated. I left most mornings around 6am and wouldn't return until late evening so I only showered & slept there.||||PROS:|| - Great location, close to bus & train|| - Loads of places to eat & shop in the area|| - New towels each day|| - The lady at reception was really lovely & helpful ||||CONS|| - Not allowed on the balcony or open the balcony door for fresh air|| - Room was old & dated|| - Duvet cover was stained & had an odd smell|| - Had to return key to reception next door whenever you left your room so I felt as || though they were keeping tabs on me||- The WIFI was quite spotty

I had a tiny-tiny room on the 2nd or 3rd floor. It was really hard to drag my suitcase up there as the stars are very narrow and fairly steep. I suppose you get what you pay for especially in London (one of my favourite cities!), but still, it wasn't very comfortable at all. One has to be in a good form to take a suitcase up and down there.

I was very surprised that this place looked so nice. After my previous experience on Sussex Garden i was not sure. It was a small but cosy double room on 3rd floor. ||Without a lift. ||There is no wi-fi there (they have it in the reception of Mirte Hotel which is just next door). ||Except of this two inconvenience i would recommend this hotel. ||Clean, cosy and quite.

The hotel is central and close to many touristic attractions, but there were bed bugs in my room! After the first night I didn't realize that the bites come from bugs as I have never faced these insects before but the second night made it clear - all symptoms are there. So, after two nights I have about 30 bites and a strong allergic reaction. What's a shame for a London hotel!!!

Cleaning staff dont knock, walked in on me multiple times I had to talk to reception about it. Do not disturb signs arent available.I called days ahead to make appropriate arrangements to be on bottom floor bc of all my luggage. they reassure me they have a lift (they dont) and put me on the *TOP* floor. Had to keep my luggage in a separate building.
