Falafel Kebab Station

Great food. I was just looking for some middle eastern food and found this nice place full of delicious food. The lentil soup was AMAZING! That's what brought me here, actually. Then the hummus was also very good as well as their delicious beef shawarma. So happy I found this place 🙂

What a delicious chicken shawarma meal! The garlic & chili sauces are king, and the lemon mint drink is just so refreshing 🍋. The Fatoush Salad was fresh, could've used a little more zest, but perhaps I have an atypically high threshold for citrus. What a treat! The staff are friendly & hard-working, the prices are incredibly fair for the city, and the portions are just right! Falafel Kebab Station is a great addition to the Northside. 🧆🌯

Simply put some of the best Middle Eastern food in the city, and for the price it can't be beaten. This is the same type of quality that you find in the better Middle Eastern restaurants up in Skokie and Evanston, but it's at the Granville EL stop. I always judge a restaurant by the quality of its tabouli and hummus. If those are great then the rest of the food will also be as great. Getting the seasoning perfect on a tabouli is difficult with all the combinations. I have never had a sweet tabouli before and that's because they used very sweet lemons. As you eat the tabouli that sweetness gives way to the savory taste of green onion, tomato, parsley, a small amount of bulgar wheat, extra virgin olive oil and salt. I was blown away. Likewise, the hummus is of a perfect consistency and flavor. I will become a regular at this place because the food is so healthy. I had the shawarma and a gyros and both were excellent. Many times most places will overcook the meat and make it hard and brown. This was succulent. They have great falafel as well. It's a little on the spicy side: so if you like that, it'll be a nice surprise! You will not be displeased. If you're looking for a dining experience (minus the pricey rent on atmosphere), you just landed on cloud 9. It's very clean, very bright inside and the people are extremely cheerful. But if you need to sit down at a table with atmosphere, you need to go north. I'd rather have the great food at a great price and know that I'm getting great food every time. I can't say enough good things about this place.

Ordered a gyro sandwich here that came out cold. The meat was also dry. I brought back the sandwich to the counter to ask if they could heat it up and it came back just ever so slightly hotter; the difference was barely noticeable. Probably won't be back again because of this. Fries this time were fine. I had been here once before and remembered it being good, but I ordered a combo plate, not a gyro sandwich.

The food was great. I liked the falafel wrap and the Baklava. WRAP was fresh and flavourful. You should try baklava. As a vegetarian, I went with fires as a side dish. I would say not the great fires. But there were plenty side options.

Every time I have gone *in person* to order my food as I live near this place, I am constantly disappointed. The only way to order is really online at this point. I cannot stress enough to not order in person; you will be ignored. I went in and ordered a veggie combination in person and then waited more than 20 minutes while online orders were prepared before mine. This has happened several times. I’m not sure why I thought it was going to be different. The cashier then QUESTIONED me about my order and asked for a receipt which he did NOT give me. I was floored. To make matters worse, I had tipped on the order too. What a mistake. I’m begging them to make sure in person orders are prioritized. It’s really not a great system otherwise and it’s sad because I live so close I’d like to come here more but I cannot justify the terrible service I have had several times now.

I’ve eaten here countless times. The food is so fresh and the staff is excellent. The mango juice is amazing and not too thick. Prices are good, portions are awesome. I have gotten all appetizers, plates, and wraps.

Excellent middle eastern food. Their gyro sandwich is absolutely loaded with gyro and is one of the best I’ve had.

Yum! Delicious food!! I have never been disappointed. When in a pinch....wondering what to have, just order some food from Falafel Kebab - you will not be disappointed. The portions are generous, the side sauces are a great addition, and the fries are crispy.

This place is on point. My wife and I first time here and we are sorry we haven't come here sooner. Besides the food being outstanding, the service, the pride they taken what they do there makes you wanna come back. We split the Kofta and the grilled chicken kebab. Since we've been there, we've ordered it for more times and actually twice in one day because their baklava is outstanding!

I had the veggie combo platter. It was a lot of food but I didn't feel like I overate. It comes with a pita on the side. I want to come back and try the other food on the menu.

Combination Meat Plate - beef/kifta/chicken kebabs, rice, salad, hummus, pita Solid lunch spot. Portions were big and everything was on the plate was tasty. Veggies were fresh, good texture in rice, pita was not dry, and the meat was seasoned well. Meat was a little dry though. I like the clean, spacious interior with plenty of tables. Employees were friendly.

Excellent food! Very authentic cuisine. The staff were very nice and the food came fast! Portions were GREAT for the size. Definitely worth it. Would highly recommend!

This restaurant is horrible it's so nasty and not fresh I hope no body will buy from there for your health I did throw the food

Great take out, including swarms , kitka and Gyros. Delivery was hot and prompt. We have ordered from here a few times now without disappointment.

Tucked into the Edgewater neighborhood between the Granville Red Line Station and Broadway, we have an absolute powerhouse in the Falafel Kebab Station, whipping up some incredible pig-out Mediterranean dishes everybody comes to know and adore. There's nothing but options here, folks! They got rotisserie chickens, pita sandwiches, plates, salads, wraps; all served with some tasty sides (their fries are actually legit, ok?) The rotisserie chicken was fire plain and simple. You have an option to get half a chicken or whole with a side of rice or fries. I was gonna go big and also ordered an extra side of gyro meat to give it a taste, and they really knocked it out of the park with that meat as well. Really, everything is cooked to excellent quality at the Falafel Kebob Station. You can order your food online and it'll be ready in about 20 mins, easy pickup time and setup. They do have a nice space to dine in if you are looking to have a meal at the place instead. Northsiders, do not sleep on this place! Great gem of a restaurant with easy transit access for all!

Great place. Kifta was delish. Everyone was was happy with their dishes. Pepsi fountain and juice drinks - Mango was good too.

Good new place to get fast and cheap Middle Eastern food. It didn't look like it would be anything special, but it was. Falafel Kebab Station is conveniently located by the Granville station, making it convenient. Lots of classics including falafel of course, but it has more. The plates are big and filling, so if you're hungry get these. After getting off at the station, we came here. It's almost literally located next to it. This is a newer place. Basically it's Middle Eastern. They of course have falafel, but you can find a lot more classic items. Big portions of food. It's about $12 for a plate. We got the Falafel Plate. It was enough for a couple people or more. This also had hummus, pita bread, rice, and salad. Be sure to come hungry. It has plates for those wanting a big ass meal. There's falafel, hummus, tabbouli, and plenty more that's good for vegans and vegetarians.

This place is amazing and a great value. The food is clean, tasty, fresh proteins and vegetables. I quite enjoy the falafel platter. You get a rice, falafels and a salad for a great price. It's a clean, delicious wonderful meal. I usually just order it and pick it up and take it home, the guys who work there are amazing . The service spot on!The staff are super polite on the phone and super knowledgeable about the food. The ambiance inside is super clean and organized. A great spot to have Middle Eastern food right here in Edgewater. Stop by and enjoy the culinary trip halfway across the world!

Great meat especially the kifta. What lovely and fragrant herbs and spices- i want to give the chef a KISS on the LIPS Hummus is very olive oily hey let the hummus speak for itself u know what i mean. Salad was mid but its just there for decoration everyones here for the meat and rice which are rly good! Smiley face

If you want gyros, come here. Seriously amazing food and big portion. Delicious, so delicious. Their lemonade with mint is also phenomenal. Love this place I had to 5 star it.

Very high quality Arab street food for reasonable prices, this has been my go to takeout place for the last couple of years.

We went here for the first time today. I recommend it for those living or working in the Edgewater community. Clean interior, quick customer service and good food. We'll be back

First off let me start off by saying , the cleanliness in this place is " A "one ! Everything was made to order , great quality and delicious. Service was so friendly to all kinds . My coworkers and I were very happy with the flavors . I was very satisfied with the grape leaves and the falafel. The rice was on point and the meat was alright . Love the hummus !

I was so pleasantly surprised by Falafel Kebab Station! I had a carryout order on a weekday afternoon and I will say inside it's very nice! It also looks like the back patio is open now as well, but didn't get a chance to check that out. I got a falafel plate and it came with eight pieces of falafel, a heaping portion of rice, huge pita pockets, some hummus, and a salad. With tax it cost 11$. I cannot believe just how much food I got for that price - absolutely unbelievable! The falafel was delicious, crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. The hummus was amazing, rice was awesome. Literally everything was SO good. I hope they stick around because I'll be coming here way more often!!!

The food isn't horrible (the Grape Leaves were, very bland; Chickpeas crispy outside & soft inside). Chicken Kabobs always good. Gyro was the SMALLEST Ive ever had here & wont be back for that reason! The "CASHIER" TODAY!! Mind you this is NOT a restaurant, it's more of a Fast Food-To Go or stay kind of place; You order, pay, serve your own drink, sit down & they bring your food. The bill was $60 & I tipped on that $7! As we were sitting down "I HEARD THE CASHIER" mockingly say " They only tipped $7 on $60". What exactly do you do to deserve more than that & even after she talked *HIT we still gave the extra $5! The tip is for the Cashier & the fact she's bringing us the food & THAT'S it, not cheacking on us, she ISN'T a waitress! There was a Staff of about 6-7people, IM SUPPOSED TO TIP THEM ALL, WTF!? No, Ill never come here again... I always tip a few extra in cash, but as we sat down looking for $5 bill to be soo rude & loud as to talk *HIT about $7, WOW the FKn NERVE! We asked for change and still gave a very UNDESERVED extra $5, because we already were. NEVER AGAIN.

The falafel and the kebab meals are great. Because of the name of the place, I have never ordered anything else, and for all I know these are the only two orders that are great. Clean, good pricing, good service, everything else about this place is good, but the Falafel and Kebabs are great.

I ordered the falafel wrap and it was good, not dry and good portions. I also ordered the chicken plate and the sauces that came with it were delicious. The stag was friendly and I did take out but the place was seemed casual.

the food is AMAZING! i get their gyro sandwhich and its incredible-- seasoned, and a large portion. the staff is very friendly, and they bring the food to you if you order in. it's a small cute and quaint restaurant that usually isn't very busy, so seating is never a problem. love it! i've been here 5 times in the last 7 days.

I absolutely love this place. The staff is very friendly and had no problem giving me their suggestions. Overall: 1. Food was delicious and very large portions. 2. So much flavor. Tried Gyro and Chicken Shawarma. 3. Price was right. 4. Very clean place. A definite recommendation

We've been ordering carry outs since they opened in Edgewater, and have yet to be disappointed. Unfortunately, our last carry out we were disappointed with. Our main choice is the gyro with extra sauce on the side. On Sunday, we placed the order, my usual. For some reason, the sandwich had very little meat, it was just little chunks or pieces of meat, which has never occurred before. The sauce they gave on the side wasn't tzatziki sauce. While it was good, packed with lots of garlic, it wasn't the same thing as tzatziki sauce. It appears I received their garlic sauce. Hopefully this was just in error or fluke as it's one of our FAVORITE go too places. UPDATE... I ordered my usual last night (April 29), and it was fantastic!! The sandwich was packed full of nice tender slices of gyro meat, and I received the correct sauce.

New management here. No wait staff as before. Order at counter and seat yourself. Phone orders take precedence with the one person taking orders so you may be ignored for length of the phone order before your order is taken. Food is very good--meat on the spit can be hard and dry- ask for the meat from 2nd shaving that's still moist. Rice, salads, hummus, chicken and lamb are all delicious. Baklava is authentic. Good prices. Recommended for the food. Slow service.

Solid place, friendly staff. The schwarma was really good - tender meat, fresh veggies, and that garlic sauce was on point. Falafel was nice too, crispy outside, soft inside. Cool atmosphere, not too fancy but clean and comfortable. Service was quick and chill. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and want a tasty, quick meal. Will be back for sure.

When nobody got me, I know falafel kebab station got me‼ It may seem a little pricey but the portions are absolutely giant. The hummus is so good. My go-to when I don't want to cook dinner tonight OR tomorrow.

Literally the best middle eastern food I've ever had. The chicken kabobs are AMAZING, rice is delicious, falafel is delicious, hummus is delicious and I think homemade, you get a yummy salad with every entree, gyros is great, shawarma is great. The staff is super friendly. The ambiance is meh but the food is fantastic. I come here at least once a week.

A friend of mine was telling about this Middle Eastern restaurant, and how authentic is the food there, so we decided to go there and give it a try, and God, I am glad I did. in addition to all the delicious items on their menu, I think this restaurant has the best of the best shawarma in town, it's probably #1 in the state. Also, the Staff there are super friendly and sweet, however, when you are done eating, you'll just need to pick up your plate to the trash. Furthermore, this place is super clean from the cashier to the tables, and the bathroom. I highly recommend checking this place out, and you'll thank me later. Oh, and don't forget to order the chicken shawarma Arabi, its soooo

Family went for lunch and enjoyed everything that was ordered. Nice and clean seating area. Employees were kind. I would recommend they put their hours of operation on their Yelp profile. This restaurant is doing what so many places do. They provide single use plastic ware with their meals. I'm hoping all restaurants will eliminate single use waste as much as possible. I'll gladly pay $1 extra if we can keep some waste from going into a landfill.

After eating here I still can't believe how good this new spot is...I went in with very little enthusiasm and figured the food would be average Mediterranean food judging from the look of the place but boy was I wrong. This fast casual spot is serving up Mediterranean favorites better than the big fancy pricey Mediterranean spots around the city. I had the combo meat platter and everything was delicious and giant portions for 18 bucks....Enough food for 2 meals. I have a strong feeling I'm going to be a regular here...Don't sleep on this spot....Can't wait to try other things on the menu.

Delicious food, 100% of the time. My go to is the falafel sandwich and Jerusalem salad. The falafel is crisp, warm and perfect. It's so good! I have to stop myself from going everyday. The employees are extremely nice and the restaurant is always clean. I highly recommend. Ymmmm!!!

This place was great! Super fair prices for large portions. Staff was super kind. Their shawarma chicken definitely beats out their other schwarmas and their fries are weirdly really good? Great lunch or quick dinner.

First time here. Had six mins to grab a dinner before the L came. Ran in here. Cashier was super about taking my order and getting it back to me pronto. The price was good ($7) and the taste of the falafel sandwich was great! Definitely recommend.

The place was recently renovated and it pays off very well. If you want an opportunity to experience authentic Middle Eastern food with reasonable prices and friendly service, this is the new local hot spot! Thankful for the delicious gyro sandwich and falafel made by the AMAZING Chef Tamer. Seriously, this man knows how to make you feel at home with his hospitality and gourmet food. Very well-rounded restaurant overall. Looking forward to the next opportunity I have to stop by

First time at Falafel today which came highly recommended. Agree! I had chicken shwarma. It was so very delicious. Told owner I would pass the word about how great the food is. It's right of the Granville Redline L stop. Worth a trip to Edgewater if you're looking for good middle eastern food.

Falafel places are plenty in Chicago. Falafel Kebab Station is very good! I tried the beef shawarma plate. The beef was tender and not tough and the rice simply complimented it. The hummus was the way hummus should be, the right texture and taste. Everything was done with care and was a good experience. Not all places are the same even though it is the same cuisine. And also, their small salad that was included was good considering it was not a lot. Will order again.

I searched the area for somewhere nearby where I could eat halal meat because I was so hungry. well I did find this location. I read a review that stated that chicken Shawarma is delicious and even saw a photo of it. Therefore, I chose a chicken Shawarma sandwich. I had no idea what to anticipate when I received it. Basically, it came with fries and other items because that is what the photo depicted. But I suppose I was in error. I didn't have any issues. I thought, "Okay, maybe that's the entrée one." It was sad to pay $11.08 for a little wrap with such a less chicken In terms of taste it was okay!

This is neighborhood counter service Mediterranean restaurant with the usual menu. We have had good experiences with the vegetarian combos, salads and lentil soup. The prices are reasonable and portions are good. I wish they included Baba Ghanoush in the vegetarian combo like most places. For what it's worth, we ordered the BG separately and it was fresh and tasty. It's a small dining area with a few tables but I presume most of their clientele is local takeout.

Listen, this place is amazing. The chicken shawarma is my go-to and it NEVER disappoints. Everything I've tried here is great, the falafel is crispy, and all the sauces are worth trying. Very affordable prices for sizable portions and delicious food. It's a new favorite of mine!
