Where To Eat In Edgewater

"Unfortunately, the Red Line doesn’t directly pull into Falafel Kebab Station, but considering that it is right next to the Granville stop, it’s close enough. And the reason we want a direct route to this counter-service Middle Eastern spot is because the food is great. Whether it’s a lemony chicken shawarma wrap tattooed with beautiful griddle marks, or a giant rice plate with beef, lamb, and chicken kabobs, the menu is full of hits. Plus, the food comes out fast and there are plenty of booths and high tables." - adrian kane, john ringor

Falafel Kebab Station Review - Edgewater - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Unfortunately, the Red Line won't bring you directly to Falafel Kebab Station, but considering that it is right next to the Granville stop, we'll take it. And the reason we want a direct route to this counter-service Mediterranean spot is because the food is great. Whether it’s a perfectly griddled lemony chicken shawarma wrap or a giant rice plate with beef, lamb, and chicken kabobs, the menu is full of hits. Plus, the food comes out quickly and there are lots of booths and high tables." - John Ringor

I’ve eaten here countless times. The food is so fresh and the staff is excellent. The mango juice is amazing and not too thick. Prices are fair, portions are awesome. I have gotten all appetizers, plates, and wraps.

For someone who lived in Dearborn, Michigan for a long time, this the closest thing to home since ive moved to Chicago 7 years ago. The hummus is so creamy. The chicken shawarma is perfectly seasoned. It's so good!!!

Recently moved to USA and this is one of the few places I found that serves zabiha halal. Tried their Chicken Shawarma Sandwich and it was amazing! The quantity of chicken & veggies inside the shawarma is sufficient for one person. Place was clean and well maintained. Staff was polite and friendly as well.

Chicken shawarma and fries here are fantastic! I found beef shawarma a little bland. The gyro is also pretty good. The portions of the platters are huge, hummus is quite well made, sauces are great as well. We got takeout for two people and it took them about half hour to prepare our order, the restaurant wasn’t packed either just a few tables were occupied. But I saw them shave the shawarmas per order and not pre cut and let it sit on the hot plate, which I appreciate, that must be adding to the preparation time. We also tried the stuffed grape leaves, I must say this is a delicate dish and it was well executed. My complaint about it was that it wasn’t flavorful enough. I know everyone in the levant makes them differently, this kind didn’t work for me. I would expect to see more warm spices, more sweetness, etc. The restaurant itself looks a little tired, almost rundown and not cozy like. I know they only opened last year so that’s weird to me. Also there was not a single smiling face in the staff but it was also end of the shift so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Overall I would say come here for the quality and the quantity of the food, not for the vibes.

Finally, good chicken shawarma in Chicago. Get the plate which comes with salad, hummus, and pita. You order at the register then sit down and wait for your food to come out.

Great service, incredibly fresh falafels that we wonderfully spiced and perfectly fried. Some of the best Mediterranean food I've had. And affordable as well, you can pop by and pick up and a falafel sandwich for 7 dollars. Please check them out! Server was super nice and lovely, music was on point, and conveniently located right under the Granville stop!

The owner is really nice. I got the fries and half rotisserie for $12. The price is reasonable considering it’s halal too. Definitely recommend
