Insanely delicious meal - the falafels were crispy and pillowy, and the dressing on the salad was ridiculously good. We could not stop eating it even as we were getting full. Could not recommend high enough, the man serving us was so kind too. Must try!!

Cute and minimalist vibe inside. They had Fairouz playing and a Hepburn print so you know you’re in admo. The saj bread is absolutely so soft (and crunchy in the best ways on the toasted sides). The falafel is flavored and moist. The pickled pepper beautifully elevates the flavors. If you’re Lebanese, do not expect a Lebanese style sandwich!! It’s Palestinian bb I think the zaatar on the fries is overpowered by the Cajun ish seasoning but it’s creative so go team!

The place literally opened a week or so ago. I was walking on the 18th last Saturday and a guy was handing out falafel outside. I was AMAZED by how GOOD it was!! I'm an Arab from the Levantine, where falafel originated from. Back home having hummus & falafel for breakfast is like having a donut with your coffee. I grew up eating it almost every day. What surprised me in their falafel is that it's GREEN from inside (I'll tell you why in a sec) !! And the taste is TOP! Falafel is mainly divided into two types: 1) made of either Fava beans, or 2) chickpeas. The ones made of Fava beans are typically the Egyptian variety. In Lebanon & Syria too, but sometimes they mix both Fava beans & chickpeas. However, in Palestine & Jordan, it's made of chickpeas solely. Besides, the Palestinian/Jordanian falafel is distinguished by it's bright green color inside and that's 100% natural coloring! It's due to grinding parsley with the chickpeas! It enhances the flavor and gives it a fresh taste! Sometimes cilantro and green onions are added too (which are also green). There are many good falafel places in the DMV area, but NONE in Adams Morgan! I was very pleasantly surprised to find out about their grand opening! And especially the fact that's it's the Palestinian type of falafel! It's a must try!! I went there last week and got to chat with Sameer the owner, who prepared my sandwiches! On top of that, it turned out Sameer is from Jerusalem and has been living in the United States since 50 years already! It's such an honor to be able to try falafel made by someone from the Holy city of Jerusalem. FALAFEL SAM IS A MUST VISIT! There are tables to sit and eat inside. And btw the cashier is a lovely guy as well!

Nice to have a replacement for Amsterdam Falafel! The focus on falafel and doing that well is refreshing. The flavors were great and the falafel was nice and light. I look forward to going again when I am in the neighborhood.

Love the falafel and the falafel sandwiches! The pickles, spice and veggies in the sandwich are perfect. Fries are yum!The cherry on top is that they sell non bds drinks like Salam & palestine coke! Highly recommend this Palestinian owned shop!

Google
Great new falafel spot in DC. Yummy falafel and zaatar fries. Ask for the shata or hot sauce if you like it spicy. Love that they also have Salam cola and Palestine coke.

Google
Very tasty and fresh! I ordered the falafel sandwich combo. The falafel was perfectly flavored and the fries crisp— no notes! The owner and staff were really friendly and helped make my early lunch really pleasant. I look forward to coming back soon (and trying the platter).

Google
The owner and workers couldn’t be nicer, however the place is no Amsterdam Falafel, sadly… I was hoping. The falafel itself is not flavorful or fluffy and lacks a crispy exterior and the dishes lack (no pickled turnip, no hummus, no cabbage salad, no roasted eggplant, creamy garlic sauce; none of the typical Middle Eastern toppings that you would want with most of your dishes). If you ask for hot sauce, you get like a minuscule amount in a tiny cup. That same scarcity mentality extends to the interior design where they have a good size space, but they put only three small tables for their clients leaving the rest of the space empty (see photo). The message is clear, subpar food and offering the minimum they can at an above par price. I hope they improve because they do seem nice as I said, and the music is good!

Yelp
I found out about the opening of Falafel Sam online and wanted to check it out. I ordered the falafel sandwich combo, which provided a solid sized wrap, fries and a drink. There are a few unique drink flavors, including Palestine coke. It just opened, so the menu is still a little small but my meal was tasty and the workers were extremely friendly.

Yelp
Excellent, authentic and delicious falafel. I ordered the falafel plater that came with hummus, baba ghanoush and tabouleh. The hummus is great and the baba ghanoush is exceptional.

Yelp
Not much seating but they were fine with us hanging out in there. INCREDIBLE FOOD. My falafel sandwich was actually life changing. The zatar fries were really good too. Go here!

Yelp
Giving five stars because I don't want to rate it lower because it is Palestinian owned, however, we split a falafel sandwich and zaatar fries and I think both were lacking! The fries need a sauce of any kind because otherwise they are dry. The falafel itself was a little undercooked and really lacks flavor. It definitely needs the cucumber/tomato salad with it to give it a little something, but I would definitely work on the mix so it has the flavor it's meant to have. Additionally, you could add more toppings like pickled radish, jalapeños, or tahini to give it even more. You guys have potential!

Yelp
So excited that falafel is back on 18th St, and Falafel Sam prepares it the authentic, Palestinian way! Delicious, my partner and I went back a second night in a row after trying for the first time. The falafel pita and the fattoush salad were both awesome-- the falafel itself is by far the best falafel out of any I've tried in the city. They scoop and fry it fresh as they make each plate. Za'atar fries are crispy, kind of like the battered style of fries, which I love. The hot sauce, I forget what it's called, is so delicious-- has a bit of a pickled/fermented taste. Walid, one of the co-owners, is awesome, as well as Vinny who prepared the meals when we visited! Very excited to continue going back for excellent quality food and service!

Yelp
I ordered the Falafel Sandwich Combo, which comes with a falafel sandwich, Zaatar fries, and a drink. Everything was very good, staff were friendly/service quick. The interior has a casual ambiance with a few tables, a couch, and a long standing bar for eating. We ordered takeout, and everything held up well. I wish I would've checked to see if they have some kind of sauce to-go to top everything off with but I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
The food was excellent, the atmosphere is phenomenal, and the people are the best around. Will be back regularly
