Really good vegan food I recommend 100% fresh and the service is amazing

This is a family favourite take-out choice. We have also ordered food for large gathering and holidays and it is always yummy. Aside form the fantastic falafel sandwiches, they have some amazing vegetarian dishes, including a General Tao dish, fresh veggie salads and the best Thai eggplant salad I have ever had! A little hard to find but worth using your GPS to get there!

This was my first time eating at Falafel St. Jacques. I had heard about it and it was highly recommended to me. The manager gave me some samples to try a few different items. I wanted everything!!! I had the Jerusalem mix with fries and the Thai eggplant and baba ganoush (because what else would you have with French fries!). Everything was absolutely incredible. Everything was fresh and so tasty. I can’t wait to go back! Service was next level

This place was suggested by my colleague because I was asking for recommendations of Middle Eastern food. Turns out to be good. The falafel sandwich has great portions and the brownies are really tasty.

Some of the best falafel you'll ever eat in Montreal. Wonderful staff and a pretty great atmosphere. Pricing isn't too expensive either so this is definitely a go to area to visit with friends or your family. (Not to mention the delicious 2$ hot chocolate)

Some of the best food I've had in my life, and I'm not vegetarian. Fresh veggies, great service, and decent prices. You want to eat here. Trust me. Only downside is the difficult parking.

OMG.. I don’t know where to start about this place. It’s incredible. I drove by it many times and it’s always busy so I finally stopped and went in. I’m so happy I did. The service and the atmosphere is awesome. I didn’t know it was vegan but it was the most amazing sandwiches I have ever had in my life. The shish taouk is mushroom based but I could swear I was eating meat. The freshness of the ingredients is incredible. I recommend this place to everyone

Ordered for too good to go as well as purchased some things. I’m aware the too good to go stuff is what needs to be sold but at least make sure it’s not mouldy. The potato latkes had mould all over them. The pita unfortunately tasted horribly like mould. I purchased the halva croissant pastries which had been rancid. I tried giving this place another chance but the mould really set me over the edge. Location VSP

I love places that are just about the food. Tiny and not alot of space to eat which is just fine - I ate in my car! Service was quick - I ordered a spicy falafel and it was pretty tasty! Phenomenal food, tons of choices especially vegetarian. I got there every opportunity. Service is good but ambiance is essentially a deli. Take it home if you want some nice decor. Go sag by the water and have a picnic if you want a little color with your meal.

Ok well it is absolutely gorgeous.... And the owners are here as well... They feel to me like at home.... Like brothers from another mother but the food just perfect!! All of it unbeleivable! Ambiance... More a fast food of fallafel yet the higher end quality, yet a fast pit stop so to speak! If u are stuck in traffic... Or just passing by.... Or a quick business bite, at lunch, this jpint has never once been a failure!

Sitting on their patio right now digesting a delicious falafel. We've had the best from Boston Philadelphia London Manhattan Israel and Montreal. We've had both Israeli style and Lebanese style We just got here after a multi hour drive from USA. First stop before hotel or family and friends. Definitely worth it. This falafel is tops. Fresh, hot falafel balls. Tchina leaves the two drips down the side of your mouth. Visiting for a few days and will most probably come back for more The Bourke as are also good And the shawarma is vegetarian! Go figure. It tastes good!!!

These guys make going in to grab a quick meal so much fun! They are super friendly, help you decide what you'd like best and then make a super flavourful sandwich for you to thoroughly enjoy. I usually grab some Baklava for dessert too. Yum!

As much as I used to love this place & gave it a 5 star two years ago, my experience today seemed to have gone downhill. I had the falafel plate which came with 4 falafels and a choice of three salads. The falafel didn't taste the same, the salads were so-so. I've had much better and fresher falafel at other places which I will not mention in this review. Definitely not a 5 stars in my books.

"I am going to take you for the best falafel of your life." That's what my friend said when I told her I was visiting Montreal. She arranged it so my last meal before my flight home was at Falafel St Jacques and I'm so, so glad she did because it was honestly one of the best things I ate during my last visit to the city! And, yes, it may *actually* be the best falafel I've had in my life (so far, anyway). The place is VERY small; they expect their customers to make decisions and order VERY fast. So be prepared for that. I was not. I felt like I didn't have enough time to take everything in (like: there's this entire glass case of glorious salads... I definitely would have gotten some potato salad and some of the vegetarian orange ginger chicken if I had been able to process what was going on and ask what was in the case as nothing was labeled). My dining companion had my back though... She ordered us: 1. Falafel Pita "all dressed" and spicy (this doughy pita was overloaded with an abundance of flavorful, moist falafel and a whole bunch of other stuff... hummus? tahini? cucumbers? tomatoes? red and white cabbage? love? I couldn't eat it all but I tried so desperately to because it was just. so. darn. good.). I ordered us: 2. Baked House Potatoes (you know the kind: they look like little wedges and have a nice brown, spiced coating on the outside, and are all fluffy on the inside? Well, when we first walked into the restaurant there was a dad and a young daughter eating at a table and they must have overheard me ask my friend what I should get. He quickly interjected that I *had* to get the potato wedges and then forced me - in the friendliest way possible - to try some of his. So that's how that magic happened). The place is busy, busy, busy. People are constantly streaming in and out of here, so my advice to you newcomers is this: look at the menu beforehand, go in, shout your order as quickly as possible, grab it the literal moment it's ready (and not a second after), and head out. I can see why this place is locally loved, and trust me: if it was in my neighborhood I would also be taking my outta town friends for "the best falafels of their lives" (so far).

Tucked away in a corner of a busy street, falafel St.jaques is a hidden, delicious gem. The interior itself gives the impression of a fast food , hipster joint that's always packed full of people, and contains a varied menu of tasty treats. The greatest element of this place is that everything is fully vegan, as impossible as that is to believe with items such as General Tao chicken on their menu, so caters to any individuals tasebuds. I ordered the falafel pitta with the wedges and mint lemonade. The pitta itself was packed full of falafel, salad, hummus and more, making it well worth the price (which is incredibly reasonable) and really filling! I couldn't even finish mine! The lemonade was refreshing and accompanied the meal well, and the wedges were crispy and fluffy. Would definitely give this place a visit again!

After hearing and seeing so many raved-about reviews of this place, we finally made it a point to stopover whilst on our way to the airport. I have to say, I am soooo gutted that this place is super far for us South-Shorers. Honestly, it was any closer, I would be here at least once a week!! The place was buzzing with a little line-up and everyone there seemed to be regulars, with their orders at the tip of their tongue. I however, didn't know where to start - having not expected such a variety of options, I could not decide on what to have! From Vegetarian General Tao, Shish Taouk, Shawarma and of course, the beloved Falafels and more - I had to make sure that it would be love at first bite! Finally, as I had been anticipating falafels all day, I played it safe and went for a Falafel Pita Sandwich with fries... ohh boy, was it heavenly! The pita was huuuge with lots of fresh crunchy salad and flavourful falafels all drizzled in a delicious tahini sauce... I didn't think I would be able to finish it but it was too good to put down! The owners are super friendly, welcoming and chatty with a beautiful story which left both my husband and I feeling very impressed and hopeful. Keep up the awesome work guys of creating love and unity through friendship, food & FALAFELS :)

I love coming to this restaurant/fast food place for delicious falafel sandwiches. Although they've raised their prices multiple times over the past year or two, their sandwiches are really good. They've also hired new and more welcoming staff members which makes the experience much more pleasant. I would highly recommend giving this place a shot and would definitely recommend the classic falafel sandwich as it is more than tasty enough!

Didn't live up to the hype and also both me and my wife got unpleasant gastrointestinal symptoms after eating from here. I felt like there was a bit too much garlic in a lot of the dishes, and I have definitely had better falafel.

I've been meaning to check out this spot for ages! I've only heard good things but alas, hidden off away my usual prowling grounds, I never got the chance. Well along comes the pandemic and hello at home delivery! I ordered a combo which included the pita sandwich, two salads, and a soft drink; price was beyond reasonable and the food was fresh and oh so so good!! That shawarma pita sandwich was what dreams are made of! Soft pita, creamy hummus, tender meat and burst of delicious Mediterranean flavours. Sigh, my pita was devoured in record time and I already want more....

I have been told numerous times how fortunate I am to live so close to this place (literally across the street) and decided to try it out. They offer enough types of salad/veg to please anyone, and even their want-to-be meat dishes are something I would be happy to eat. When you consider the fresh ingredients and portion size you are certainly getting a decent meal. The lemonade was delicious! Keep in mind what time you visit as the wait time was long and you're stuck lining up around the counter. The chefs were very kind throughout! This would have been a 4 star review if there hadn't been hair baked into my food.

Hands down, best felafels in town. Even better than Green Panther. Filling and tasty.

I really loved this place ! I ordered delivery of a falafel sandwich, and bourekas (half of them cheese half of them mushroom). The price is super reasonable, the portions are big and the quality of the food is great! their bread for the falafel was so tasty and fresh, they were generous with the awesome falafel inside and toppings were fresh and crisp as well (pro-tip ask them to make it spicy! You won't regret it). The bourekas were fresh and tasty the mushroom one was my favourite of the two but I enjoyed both. Very happy to have finally tried them , they're the real deal !

I've had this spot on my list for some time but just recently ate there for the first time. I had heard a lot of good things about Falafel St-Jacques and I'm pleased to say that they completely lived up to the hype!! They offer a great selection of vegan middle eastern fare. Thee pittas are light and fluffy and the portions are extremely generous. The quality of the food is excellent. They have a small outdoor terrace that can accommodate a few small groups in a covid friendly manner. We have really enjoyed everything that we've tried and although everything is vegetarian it is done so well you never feel like you are missing out on anything. Falafel Saint Jacques is located in a slightly out of the way spot it is totally worth the trip.

Omg the BEST FALAFEL IN MONTREAL! This place is the west end's best kept secret. Israeli style falafel packed with Veges (Spicy option) is my personal favourite, but everything they serve is delicious and vegan. They have lots of side dishes and various faux meats. Tons of decadent baked treats also. The staff is particularly sweet and friendly. You could drive right past it without noticing, but that would be a huge mistake! Find it and go try everything!

Best falafel I've ever had, I'm only in the area for a few more days and will definitely eat here again before we leave. We got the falafel platter and it was enough for my husband and I to split, the owner was so nice and threw in extra pita bread for us. The falafel was flavorful and crispy, and the accompanying salads were fresh made and delicious. I'm already getting hungry again just thinking about it ... can't wait to visit again!

Oh my god! This is falafel heaven! I had heard so much about this place but never had the chance to try it out all these years because of how far the location is from me. I finally ended up trying this place out, and I'm very impressed. Their falafels are crispy on the outside, and mushy on the inside, just as they should be (if you're used to the typical Amir's, boustans, fast food falafels, you are missing out BIG TIME on what proper falafel should taste like. I am curious to try out their vegan shawarma sandwiches, which look great too. I had some of their potato wedges and once again, 10/10. Definitely will be coming back

Falafel St-Jacques has some of the best vegetarian and vegan food in Montreal. Despite the restaurant being in a random spot in Lachine, I've been in person once and enjoyed their delivered food twice. While they are known for their falafel, I fell in love with their spicy thai eggplant salad, thick pita bread, and potato wedges served with spicy harissa and tahini dips. Don't get me wrong, their salad bar, phyllo pastries, falafel, hummus, etc., are all delicious but getting someone like me (who doesn't necessarily like eggplant) to become obsessed with it is something worth noting. It's absolutely delicious! I've yet to try their faux meat i.e., veggie shawarma or veggie shish taouk, as I usually enjoy purely vegetarian food. Including the carnivores I know, mostly everyone who has tried it has loved it. From huge and very filling sandwiches, to a variety of salads and sides to pick from, the hardest part is choosing! What I like most is that they serve healthy food that is very flavourful, very filling and reasonably priced. The tunisian tuna sandwich is one of my faves there and the falafel plate is huge and very filling.

You've got houmous, you've got falafel, what more can you ask for? I'll tell you what!!! Everything here is guaranteed vegetarian and murder / cruelty free! There are many assorted vegetarian products! They are all very tasty. Vegetarian Général Tao, vegetarian orange chicken, vegetarian shish taouk, vegetarian shawarma, vegetarian butter chicken ... all of these vege "meats" are delicious and made 100% shiitake mushrooms. Get all the Israeli delicatessen specialties you need! Chocolate halava, rougalach, hamentashen, bourek, kniches, tabouleh, houmous, did I mention falafel yet? This place has burgers, pita wraps, salads, tabouli, BABAGANOUCH, tahini, Harissa, eggplant salad, beet salad, potato salad, kubbeh, and French fries. Come here and all of your dreams will be fulfilled. Peace be unto you.

This place is a real diamond in the rough. You might not think of Ville-St-Pierre as a foodie area, but Falafel St-Jacques single handedly pulls this town out of the culinary dark-ages and delivers cutting edge flavour. I didn't even like Falafel until I came here, but now I'm hooked. The staff is friendly and up-beat. The food is great. Plus it's an Uber-Eats partner. Don't even get me started on the spicy carrots.

This place is awesome! The falafel is better than any i've had, even in Israel. Everything so fresh.

What a hidden jem in the least expected place. Often in this area for my son's hockey it was so very painful to find a good option for food. Along comes this place and everything changes. Now when I'm on the 20 going east or west I consider stopping to pick something up. The place is small and has a terrasse in the summer but reason to make it out is the great food. The fast and efficient service only make it a perfect place to pick up some great falafels. The salads and sides options are also great. It is a must if in the area or if you want some great falafels. Done. Enjoy!

Let me start by saying that I'm not usually a falafel fiend, but when I crave it, Falafel St-Jacques is the place to go. I'm pretty obsessed with this place and take all my friends there if they don't already know about it. Their vege shawarma and shish taouk meats are perfectly seasoned. And they have such a variety in their % vege meal selection. They even have delicious pastries (baklava or babka anyone?) I usually get the wrap with a salad and drink combo and will grab a dozen falafels to go! And their tahini sauce is to die for...Writing this actually got me craving it again! Eill def go back

Friend of mine took us there when we were visiting Montreal. Top notch cuisine, fast service and extremely tasty. I wish there was a bit more space and there would be one in Philly.

Ate here on Sunday for supper with my brother and fiancé, parking really wasn't that bad and the place was not that busy (we went early before the rush). The location is small but it is definitely a takeout or quick eat kind of place. We both had falafels, fries and some baklava for dessert. The falafel was delicious and very filling. I also really liked the baklava. Overall I would recommend, but it is not a comfortable hang out due to space and set up.

Worth the drive! Great counter serving falafel sandwiches and other israeli style food. Pleasant staff. I recommend the Sabih (egg, eggplant, potato sandwich), if you're looking for something very substantive. Can easily be split in 2 and serve as both lunch and dinner if you don't eat much. The desserts are quite good too (i.e. the babka, delicious).

We picked up falafel wrap on our way back from Montreal and it was a pleasant surprise . Falafels were yummy and would definitely return again on our way to and from Montreal next time.

Walking in I didn't expect much from a tiny falafel restaurant, but was I ever mistaken. I was greeting by the dude in the front, I told him I had never been here so what should I take and he brought me this delicious bundle of joy. It was a falafel in a pita with all the fixings, red cabbage, turnip, I may have tasted some tabouli in there but damn was it ever delicious. The falafel itself was nice and flavourful, and the pita it was in was soft and really complimented the falafel perfectly!!! I have never had a falafel like that in my life. It total it was about 9 bucks with a water bottle which was fare, in just sad I hadn't taken another one lol, I'm glad I stopped by this small shop and I will definite be back! Ohhhh and the gentleman made me try these potato latkes, wow!!!

Holy cannoli this is some amazing veggie fare. I had not had the pleasure of enjoying veggie shishtaouk or shawarma until visiting these guys and I wasn't disappointed. As other folks have mentioned, the portions are generous, fresh and delicious. In fact, this is one of the few times I've seen my boyfriend not be able to finish his meal (due to size, of course.) Everything was also quite cheap, with the exception of the pastries (but let me tell you, those $7 cookies were damn worth it!) It would be amazing if they could accommodate more seating, particularly because it's clear that people come in from all over town for their noms, but I reckon once their little patio space opens up again it won't be so tight in there.

I don't understand why everyone is making a big deal about this place ,it's just a falafel :) well it's fresh but sandwiches they make is disgusting ,so called pita bread they use is soooo thick but there is a reason for that because first they put in the falafel along with anything they find plus the sauce sandwich becomes like a balloon after the first bite your face hands fingers become greasy and disgusting . Plus restaurant it self is so small they have this long table in the middle of the restaurant and they stuff like 100 customers in there you can't breathe , I was sitting with my wife and there is absoulutly no gap with the person sitting next to me it's like we are sitting shoulder to shoulder . After we left our jackets , shirts even our hair smelled Like greesy food.

Excellent! I don't eat meat so it's not always easy to find a quick lunch. I had a medium 5 salad plate. Everything was fresh and delicious. I think I could have had 7 salads! So many great choices. I will be back on my next visit to Montreal.

I'm vegan and live in the neighbourhood so this is my go to splurge place when I get lazy or want a pickup. Everyone is friendly and cares, the selection is all good food. The food is consistently excellent. I'd give 5 stars except since last summer for unknown (and I've asked) reasons, they frequently run out of the best stuff like schnitzel or wings exactly when I go for some comfort food, and exactly at supper time, sometimes even lunch. Hope they get a handle on demand ...

Hands down, the best falafel I've ever had and maybe the best Montreal has to offer. Worth a stop if you are about to get onto highway and worth making a destination if you're not. Good array of tasty salads. I had the trio (Falafel all dressed with two sides of salad). Service is friendly, even charming and I liked watching the food channel while eating alone.

Food is usually excellent. They need to figure out their staffing. The owner and manager are professional and efficient. Other people give off the impression of not wanting to be there. It ends up being a much longer and tense process than it needs to be.

Simply Wonderful!!! If you haven't tried this Falafel then you have absolutely no idea what Falafel tastes like!!! Finally I can say that this is the best Falafel in town !!! Friendly staff and lovely place. It's small but it is nice! I believe it's "ok" for people with kids, but not with a stroller really. I would definitely go out of my way to get a sandwich there, it is one of those places that you would make the trip to have a bite, I will be going again next week and will update my review. Highly recommend it to all

This place was a HUGE FIND. We were told about this place from someone who is related to the owner back in NY. We were soooooooooo happy we went. It was the best falafel I have had since my trip to Israel! So many gluten free options. It was totally worth going out of our way to go. If you like this kind of food it is a must go.

An Israel style falafel and other eastern med food. Small n very popular, so try to go a little before or after lunch n dinner rush. Good for take out n catering. Not cheap but two can eat a dinner for one. Perhaps 1 extra pita bread. Pita differs from most Arab pita, being thicker. They open the pita n stuff it rather than do a roll up. Don't mind the occasional yelling. Part of the shtick.
