Falla The Smoke Jamaican Food

Today, I stopped by this wonderful place that I pass daily. The food is heavenly. The jerk chicken is juicy, tender and not too spicy. The vanilla rum cake is delicious. Come check out this place soon. There is enough parking in the back. They’re open Tuesday through Saturday until 8pm.

I was looking for some good Jamaican food and stumbled on this gem in Nashville. The food was AMAZING and cooked fresh, packed with flavor. I got the jerk chicken plate with cabbage, rice and peas, and my first time trying both and omg it was definitely 10/10 EVERY THING! I had to go back a second time to order my sister a plate. Will most definitely be back when i come back to Nashville!!!!

I am weeping tears of joy as I type this review. Falla the Smoke is absolutely outstanding. My fiance brought a plate of oxtails and cabbage and rice and peas home this morning and as soon as I tried it, I knew we had to go back. So we did. Unbelievable. The food is so, so good. I can’t believe I am lucky enough to live so close to this precious gem! And I can’t believe I spent so long driving past without stopping! Never again will I sleep on Falla the Smoke. Oxtails, jerk chicken, jerk ribs, cabbage, candied yams, turnip greens, *that HOMEMADE CORNBREAD*!!!— JUST GO THERE AND ORDER EVERYTHING. The beautiful women working today were so kind, welcoming, helpful, and friendly! 1000/10!

Every time I go here to eat it is always amazing!!!!! They truly have the best and most authentic Jamaican food ever!! The food and the customer service are truly amazing!!!! It is definitely time for me to make another trip there soon!

I was looking for a place for jerk pork, but found this place with jerk ribs that delivers to my area. The jerk chicken and ribs are really good. Both were extremely tender and tasty. I can't speak on if it's authentic Jamaican or not, but I liked it a lot. I had extra jerk sauce, but it tastes like honey BBQ, so I didn't really care for it. The chocolate rum cake was good and strong. I loved the Mac and cheese, but the turnip greens and cabbage were just okay. They were out of yams unfortunately. I was skeptical on ordering based on the mixed reviews, but my delivery order was great and I would definitely order again for the meats and rum cake!

This is THE best Jamaican food I’ve eaten outside of Jamaica!! The jerk chicken and the salmon are delicious! The rice and peas are always moist and flavorful and the cabbage is perfection. I feel like I went to my friend’s mama house to eat and she fixed me a plate.

I was really hoping this was going to be some really good food even after I read the reviews. The cabbage was amazing I will say that, but everything else just didn't hit like real Jamaican food. I got the oxtail, which were more fat than meat, with rice and greens. The rice and greens didn't seemed to be seasoned very well. I also got the jerk wings, which were missing a real jerk flavor, with cabbage and macaroni. The cabbage was 🔥 but the mac wasn't the business. I ordered the oreo cake, but as you can see from the photo that's not what I got and it was just ok. This wasn't the worst food I've ever had, but I was just expecting so much more. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I placed ordered with my co-worker. OMG I had to try more. Let’s just say it’s my new meal prep. Everyone (my family and friends) who tried my plate said the same thing delicious. Just one bite and you are hooked.

As you walk up to the food truck there is a smoker chugging away . Smoke filled air with a hint of tasty meat . Got the staple food jerk chicken , cabbage , rice and peas . Jerk chicken has some great flavor , very juicy but not real spicy like some places . Cabbage was smokin , so good I had to order a full extra side . Rice and peas are made proper , perfectly cooked and amazing flavor . Only thing they do not have is fried plantains , but they do have curry goat and ox tail even have salmon . Good place to try if you like Jamaican food

I wanted to love it as I hadn't had oxtail in a very long time. I was disappointed. The oxtail wasn't tender like I had hoped. The cabbage and rice and peas tasted like they weren't fresh as there were alot of hard pieces . The candied yams and rum cake was the best thing.

I'll start off with one positive the salmon was small, but cooked tasty and had a great sauce. As for everything else the cabbage was so undercooked, hard, and unseasoned surprisingly and the red beans n rice was old. There were crusty hard pieces of rice mixed in with mushy parts. No plantains at all which I find strange and to top it all off WAY overpriced. The other Jamaican truck has better prices, bigger portions, and the taste is perfection so I was really disappointed my first time trying this Jamaican food truck

I had a nice customer service experience at falla da smoke and the food is tasty and you won't be disappointed. I am from out of town so I have a bit higher expectations in the flavor but that's preference. I enjoyed my meals...the oxtails were off the bone tender, I just make my browning thicker and a little sweeter & spicier but again I enjoyed my food, the corn bread, Rasta pasta, the jerk shrimp! Honey bun and rum cake all tasty.

This meal right here was a 10/10! The salmon was a large piece that was cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. The cabbage was freshly made and the Rasta pasta was delicious. I do wish they had an option to sprinkle some Parmesan cheese onto the pasta. It's probably American thing, I know. I did order a said of scotch bonnet pepper sauce (very hot) for $1. They gave me a time of 20 minutes and it did take that long to prepare but I was pleased with the end result. Please note that you may not receive an overly bubbly personality of customer service as the staff are just matter of fact, and straight to the point. One of the owner was very helpful in explaining some of the different dishes that they offer to clients. I will definitely be back again!

My favorite Jamaican spot in the city. My favorite is the Rasta Pasta with curry chicken on top. So good. The jerk chicken is amazing, and the sauce just takes it over the top. I love the mac and cheese and cabbage. The portions are huge and they're even better the next day. I find the fried food to be flavorful but a bit too salty, so I stick to the traditional Jamaican food.

I genuinely enjoy this food truck, however, the last two times I tried it, my chicken was CHARRED! A lot of the pieces were burnt, crispy, & dried out, so it was hard for me to enjoy it. I had a double side of yellow rice & the rice was dry. I won't take it off my list of places to eat, but I'll definitely chill for a while before going back.

This is not my first time eating at this place but this time my chicken was a little too charred. But I can say I have had the chicken when it was perfectly smoked without the horrible char. The service is quick and easy. The ambiance is outside of a barbershop. This is a must try place if you love Jamaican. Just make sure it's not too charred. The sauce is off the chain good. Just try the jerk less char and a little of the sauce. Thank me later :)

Simply some of the best Jamaican food in Nashville. The perfect amount of spice and nice sized portions.

Y'all should be ashamed of the oxtails you just sent through DoorDash. it was nothing but fatttttt. I don't want nor need a refund. I seen yall on tiktok and I won't be back. A shameeeee.

Seen a tiktok about this place so I thought I would give it a try. I ordered the oxtails plate with yams and rice and peas and got a side order of mac. The customer service was awful. The young lady didn't allow me to finish placing my order before she walked off to make my plate. She left in such a hurry that she got my order wrong and gave me cabbage instead of yams. The oxtails were bland and I had nothing but fat on my bones. I was hesitant to order oxtails because it's always hard to get your money's worth when dealing with Jamaican restaurants but I thought I would give it a try. I was better off not doing so. The cabbage was decent but the mac was terrible. Save your money and try another place.

Oooooooo weeeeee! Ma'am.... Ma'am! All I need is the coco bread! Y'all this was fyeeeeeeeee! That Jerk Chicken Pasta y'all..... women be careful if your mate buys this pasta! TN is now an anti-abortion state! Don't fall weak off of the goodness of this pasta. Still haven't eaten my patties. The ribeye.... good lordt! Are you trying to get me to empty my bank account! OMG! Just fye yall! But don't eat it if you're on that Devil's Lettuce! Your may very well explode. Bad part. yes!!! It's expensive... BUT ONE PLATE IS ENOUGH FOR 3 HUMANS. 2 at the least for over-eaters. Sorry single eaters. You'll just have leftovers! See... positive side! But Ma'am, you will be seeing me again! And soon!

There was no chicken when I went so I can't say anything about its jerki-ness. The rest was too high dollar for me to pay ($18-25) at a food truck though I'm sure it would have been plentiful. The vegetable plate satisfied me. The cabbage is good, the cheesy mashed potatoes good though perhaps not from scratch, and the greens are from cans or frozen and just ok.

This is the best Jamaican food in Nashville. authentic and SEASONED. I don't go anywhere else. Food is always FRESH and the lady is nice and quick to serve you! My fav spot 10/10.

A colleague of mine suggested this restaurant for lunch yesterday. The food portions and quality was absolutely outstanding! I will definitely order from them again AMAAAAZING

It is okay. It used to be much better for the cost. I could never get plantains each time I ordered but I let slide because the food was so good. This last time, the wings were smaller and tasted baked with sauce added. At the price, I will pass but it was good when the food was prepared with the smoke.

Her attitude made my food taste bad. She holds grudges, when she makes the mistake. You pay by cash app, so she keeps track, of your previous order.

I traveled almost 40 minutes to this place because I saw a positive review on TikTok. The review did not mention the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I pulled up and didn't know where to park, and a lady outside with the nastiest attitude told me I had to move, when she clearly saw I didn't know where to go. Upon getting out of my car and walking to the truck, she stared me down with a look of evil and did not speak. I stood in line and watched her get into the food truck. That was my cue to get out of there. If I know anything about cooking and food service, the attitude and energy goes into the food. I got in my car and went elsewhere. Attitude determines altitude. Your business will remain confined to small spaces.

Nashville, do not sleep on this place!!!! Wow....It's so freakin good. I ordered the jerk chicken plate with rice and beans and turnip greens...and I'm sitting at the table here laughing as I eat it's so good. Very generous portions too. Seriously, give this place a shot...you won't regret it!!!

If you're looking for great Jamaican food we'll look no further. Whenever I have a taste for rice and peas or ox tails this is where I go. This is my favorite Jamaican spot right now. Right now the truck is parked outside of a barber/salon on 28th Avenue between the interstate and Hadley park. You can find the address on google maps. It's easy to pull in park and head out once you've gotten your order. Speaking of order here are my favorites ox tails, jerk chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and greens. The ox tails are literally finger licking good. Even the ox tail gravy tastes good on top of the rice and peas. They serve nice portions of food and it's filling. I like to also it a champagne cola or ginger beer to drink. You can also find them on Uber eats and grub hub if you don't make it to North Nashville.

Great food! Always a pleasure dining here. The Jamaican cuisine is top-notch. Minus one star for the service, though. Friendly staff seem to be a rarity in Jamaican restaurants, but it's all part of the experience, right? LOL

First let me say. I was born and raised in Jamaica. When I tell you this food transports be back home!!! The jerk chicken was EVERYTHING! The oxtail was so good. Everything was delicious. If you get a chance, please check them out. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Nashville!

I love the food here. Always fresh and tastes authentic! The only drawback is the attitude of the lady working today. Placed an online order and when I showed up 10-15 mins later i walk up to the side and let her know my name and she says "You just placed your order you need to wait" with a snarky attitude. Would've been 5 stars but the way i was greeted almost ruined it for me tbh...

The food was so good! Amazing! Loved it! I was visiting from CA and this was recommended to me and I am so glad it was! I will eat here every time I visit!

So I ordered today on Uber eats . Oxtail , mac and cheese an cabbage . The oxtail are sooo good ! U Won't be disappointed seasoned to perfection and good gravy & tender . Cabbage was ok not great but good. 'Mac & cheese was not so good to me Needed more flavor more seasoning in it . I'll be ordering ribs next ! All in all I'm satisfied

Delicious! Salmon was made fresh to order and the service was great. There's ample space to park and wait for your meal.

Closest thing u can get to the Caribbean around here it was delicious she took her time to make everything fresh and very clean

I've ordered from here 2x now. The jerk chicken is fye. The first time it was topped with something that tasted like barbecue sauce, a bit weird, but it was good. I ordered yellow rice & cabbage as sides. They were okay, but I didn't like that the rice was dry. My second time I got rice & peas with plantains. The plantains were fye! The rice was dry & needs gravy.

Bad experience in terms of food quality and taste. Will not recommend this to anyone and never again going back.
