The 9 Best Places for Barbecue in Palm Beach

"Chef and owner Daniel Spann began with a roadside stand in Riviera Beach and has since expanded to two restaurants in West Palm Beach, located on Tamarind Avenue and Haverhill Road. Specializing in Southern-inspired barbecue and soul food, the pork rib sandwich remains a favorite. For homesick Bahamians, the menu features pigeon peas and rice—a dish based on the chef’s mother’s recipe. Be sure to watch for the specials, as souse occasionally makes an appearance." - J. Miller

Ordered from their food truck not knowing what to expect. And man my expectations where blown away!! The ribs were tender, flavorful, meaty, and seasoned. I'm not a fan of barbecue sauce but it was just the right flavor and amount that it didn't bother me. The fries, ehh they were decent, could've used some seasoning. All in all great food, great prices.

My cuz hooked it up when I came in and there was no disappointment here. The owner was trying something new on the menu and it was banging. The Mac and cheese was bomb as well. Everything went well together delivering a lot of flavor.

I had the fried fish platter, but the mac n cheese was brown and tasted like it was a week old.Plus the fried cabbage looked like it was a few days old and it was brown...straight 🗑1st time and last time!

The service was excellent even tho I didn't have shoes on she still serviced me. But I am disappointed in the chicken I that I was getting barbecue from the grill not baked chicken with barbecue sauce. I that it was a barbecue spot with the smokers. If I knew that I would not got it very disappointed my mind was set on some good barbecue

I opted for the bbq chicken and was disappointed. Not only was the chicken cold, but it wasn’t BBQ’d up. Had I picked it up, I would have checked and took it right back. The fries were undercooked. The macaroni wasn’t bad and greens tasted like Glory, which is cool, I like them. The fried chicken was good.

The food was pretty good. The worker is friendly. Short wait time and plenty of tables to sit down and eat. Good place for a quick lunch and in the mood for BBQ.

I had the absolute best pallet pleasing experience with the food I purchased from this establishment. I got the opportunity to get some very delicious cuisine from here at The Food Truck Competition in Marydel at the Harvest Ridge Winery last year. I attended the Competition again this year and came through the entrance looking for Falling off the Bone, but unfortunately they weren't there this year.

Yelp
Ok, so I've been going to this establishment for about a year now, I will say when I 1st went, the food was delightful, here recently my last 3-4 times going I can tell something's off, you know how you taste a meal and can taste the love and passion the food maker has for cooking, I no longer taste it in this food, and I get it sometimes people loose their passion for their craft, due to chronic burnout, external pressure and expectations, which are normal when running a business, and it's ok to shut things down, take a break, and come back, this review is only for constructive criticisms, and to let owners know we (the consumers) can taste whatever it is that's going on in the food. I will continue my support for this business at some point..

Yelp
Got the brisket meal which was a little pricey for what they give you. Brisket wasn't quite soft enough. It was a little "chewy". I'll give them another try and get something else. Maybe brisket isn't their thing
