Atlanta’s Best, Underrated Hidden Gem Restaurants | Eater Atlanta

"Chicago chef Chuck Woods opened Falling Rabbit in Parson’s Alley during the height of the pandemic; it’s a testament to its quality that it’s now an OTP dinner worth driving for, with a casual fine dining vibe and ever-changing fare that can range from bucatini with blue crab custard and fresh black truffle or duck confit with roasted barley to kohlrabi salad with pickled green strawberry. “Wet your whiskers” with similarly seasonal craft cocktails, including the gin-based Space Oddity with Agwa de Bolivia and porcini liqueur and Peas & Quiet, which adds Champagne vinegar to vodka, black peppers, and peas." - Beth McKibben

Chef Chuck Woods to Open Falling Rabbit at Duluth’s Parsons Alley and Alamo Drafthouse Theater Opens in Doraville at the General Motors Assembly Development - Eater Atlanta

"Chicago chef Chuck Woods opens a “contemporary seasonal” restaurant called Falling Rabbit at Parsons Alley in downtown Duluth early next year. Not much else is known about the establishment other than the name and that its design incorporates touches of art nouveau and clean lines to accompany the “whimsical approach” to the chef’s menu." - Beth McKibben

Great place 11/10 my server Rihanna was great. The food was definitely new and was a treat to my tongue. Even met the manager and she was sweet . This place reminds me of a fine dining mixed with mad hatter. Went to the bathroom and experienced Alice in wonderland. The vibes are so out of this world and the service and food match this experience I can't say enough about this place and my server Rihanna! I took some pictures to show this amazing place and the amazing staff! 11/10 will come again and worth every penny!

What a gem in the hoppin downtown Duluth scene! Went here with my wife last night on a date night and it did not dissapoint! They have a tasting option for $85 a person where you get 4-5 course meal so we tried that, but they also had an a-la-carte menu that had Wagyu steak and we had to try that. See photos but everything is high end and well thought out even down to the salad. Very rich flavors! Our son is a chef so we had to box up anything we didn’t eat to let him try it out. Oh and the Drinks! Our table was directly facing the bar and the bartenders have it going on. I tried several drinks and they all tasted amazing and I had to compliment the bartenders. Staff including Manager are all working as a team and bringing dishes to you. At the end they have a Polaroid camera and they ask if you want a picture to remember the night. I said “well how much is it” and the waiter said “it’s complimentary sir”. So we have been laughing about our Poloroid and put the date on the back of it this morning to have as a keep sake for the amazing night out we had here! I do plan to return because the menu changes and I want to try more drinks on their drink list!

We tumbled down the rabbit hole and landed in foodie wonderland at Falling Rabbit! Tucked into Duluth’s historic former parsonage of the First Baptist Church - over 100 years old and tied to the downtown cemetery’s storied past - this family-owned gem is a whimsical delight with playful art, bold wall designs, and unique lighting fixtures that spark a one-of-a-kind vibe. Chef Chuck Woods, who honed his craft under Stephanie Izard at Chicago’s Girl & The Goat, crafts a small, rotating $85 prix fixe menu that’s pure magic. The salmon was silky and divine, and the Wagyu ribeye (an à la carte treat) melted in my mouth - every bite a knockout. The service is phenomenal, with a personal touch like dining with friends who truly care. The cozy, quirky space wraps you in charm, and that bar, with its tempting cocktails, has my wife and me eager to return for the fun. Falling Rabbit isn’t just dinner - it’s a joyful, delicious escape bursting with creativity. Run to this wonderland!

The flavors are fresh and fantastic and cook on the steak was perfect. The atmosphere is a super cozy and cool Alice in wonderland theme! It was very nice for my fiances birthday to get a complimentary dessert and a free Polaroid picture. Great place.

Update: The owner reached out to us and was kind enough to make things right. Thank you! Original post (edited) ————— I’m struggling to find good things to say about the Falling Rabbit. They sat us 30 minutes early and the Shiitake soup was good. Everything went downhill after that. The mussels were under seasoned, overcooked, and some tasted off, as if they weren’t cleaned well. The bread accompaniment was an afterthought - nothing special. We waited an hour for our entrees to come out. The best thing was the fries with fresh garlic but honestly you could get those for pretty cheap elsewhere. The Wagyu was underseasoned. The duck and the sweet potatoes were hardly warm and over salted. I was appalled by the incredibly small portion. We were offered free dessert for our wait. We dined with them for 1.5 hours and couldn’t imagine waiting any longer for free dessert so we asked to get it to go. They sold out of the creme brulee so we opted for the cheesecake. The cheesecake wasn’t set and the balance of the dessert was way off. There was hardly any cheesecake and the container was dominated by the topping and marmalade. I would have loved if the manager could have addressed the situation. At a price point of $150+, this was one our worst fine dining experiences in Atlanta.

Google
Fallen Rabbit is such a gem in downtown Duluth! The interior design is an absolute A+++, with a stylish and modern vibe that makes the whole experience feel special. The food is good, and they change menu seasonally. But what really steals the show are their exquisite cocktails. Each one is unique, fancy, and crafted with pleasant, unexpected flavor bouquets. The presentation is stunning, and the aftertaste lingers beautifully. Service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the place. Perfect spot for a night out! Now they are offering a tasting 4 course meal for $85 a person. If you come early no reservation needed, but still recommend to make it.

My fiancé and I celebrated our anniversary here. The staff was amazing! So sweet, made us feel so comfortable and celebrated! The hostess was immediately kind and welcoming. Jasmine was our server. She was wonderful and gave great recommendations. The food was also so delicious!

Yelp
My husband and I were talking about how excited we are to come back here when we were still finishing our entrees. We had the 4-year anniversary special ($160) which included a first course, second course, two entrees, a dessert, and either a bottle of wine or two cocktails. We had the charcuterie board to start, which had a nice variety of meats, cheeses, and pickled vegetables. Our second course, the agnolotti, was clearly fresh pasta and was delicious. For our entrees, my husband had the scallops, which he said were some of the best he had ever had. My short rib, which was recommended by our server, was tender and did not require a knife to slice. The goat cheese cheesecake was delicious and was an interesting take on it - almost served more like a custard. Even aside from the food, the atmosphere is beautiful and unique, and the service is impeccable. Parking is easy in downtown Duluth with plenty of free options available. Falling Rabbit will be our go-to for any special occasions in the future!

Yelp
The service was very nice. True Love was the name of our server and she was so kind and very attentive. I asked for a Redbull and they did not have one but offered to go and get one from the outside. It was a very sweet gesture. Cocktails were good! Food was nice too. I was not impressed with the charcuterie appetizer. It was not very balanced with too many salty things on the plate. It only had two meat options and big blocks of cheese that were not easy to pair and eat together with the other ingredients. I think thin slices of cheese, and a variety of meats, plus additional options of sweet jams would be nicer. Pickled onions were good! Our cappuccino was not hot and was just about lukewarm but tasted very good. I was not a fan of the fries and pretty much left them at the table. I think if they were hotter it would have tasted better. Short rib was nice and fatty and the ravioli (Agnolotti) appetizer was absolutely delicious and my favorite out of everything I had. The goat cheese cheesecake was REALLY good. I would like to try this place again when they rotate the menu. Overall I had a great experience aside from the few things I mentioned above.

Yelp
I came here just for Happy Hour and it was such a warm experience. The frites (fries) were perfectly fried and crispy and tbe charcuterie was a nice blend of chesses, veggies & chips ! I got an Espresso Martini for my drink and hands down, one of the best ive had. The coffee and liquor were a perfect balance and one wasn't more overpowering than the other. The bartender was so nice to make sure that my drink was perfect as well :) I would recommend coming here for a girls night or a date night or any occassion! I can't wait to try and come back here for dinner so I can soak in the full experience !

Yelp
The restaurant is located in a perfect spot downtown Duluth. We go to Noona next door all the time so we decided to try it out. It looks a bit fancy but we liked that you can sit outside. Not many were there on a Sunday afternoon as other restaurants around. We ordered drinks and they were both underwhelming, bland, short of alcohol. It was not good. Our charcuterie board looked like they just found whatever that was left over in the fridge. I ordered cod I think and it had a really fishy smell to it. I didn't even eat half of it. My friend ordered short ribs that were too salty. Overall I thought it was in a great location, cute decor, bad drinks, mediocre food, and disappointing menu!

Yelp
Been to Falling Rabbit three weekends in a row because it's extremely pleasant every visit! I'd label this as a luxury cocktail bar for my ladies who want a girl's night that's not inner-city. Things you should know: I. PARKING Downtown Duluth has various free, public parking lots. You may have to drive around on weekend evenings a little before you can find a space. Also, you might have to walk a little bit if you cannot find a nearby spot. II. SERVICE The service here is PHENOMONAL! We've stayed past close (not realizing) and they didn't do anything to rush us out. I mean, I would have personally started mopping the floors in front of the guests and would have cut the music, but they just carried on like normal. My friend also forgot her purse! So we called 20 minutes past close time (they picked up!) and they said we could come get it that same night! Wow! So friendly. I wouldn't take that for granted though guys. Please don't leave your belongings. III. QUALITY So far, I've only consistently bought cocktails and charcuterie boards. All delicious. Nothing disappointed. IV. CAPACITY Slim available seating on weekends. Some bar stools available for walk-in guests. Highly recommend making a reservation though.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for an anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint! The chef here was trained under a Michelin Star chef and it shows. The food was spectacular! The space itself is just as impressive as the food. Very chic and beautifully decorated. Everything about Falling Rabbit is IG worthy. It was amazing to be OTP and have a restaurant of this caliber near by. 10/10 would go again!

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in this area! Always love coming here, service is always great and I love the ambience and decor. I've never had anything here that wasn't great, and I love that the menu changes frequently. One of my all time favorites is the fried maitake, I get it every time. On my recent visit, I tried the campanelle, also amazing. Definitely a great date night spot!
google avatar

Monica S.

Yelp
We came there Saturday evening and sat outside under heater The waiter Zach was really nice We ordered the salad and it was really delicious Asian flavor ! The fried mushrooms were also good. We ordered martini ( okay) and non alcoholic drink ( staycation okay) Main meal was rich with bolognese pasta and the agnolotti ( okay) We didn't like the budino dessert that much as it was cold I would return and try some of their cocktails Wish they had more veggie entrees

Yelp
It makes me so happy to have a fine dining restaurant as good as Falling Rabbit in Duluth. Everything is stunning here, from the decor to the service to the food. It is a fine dining experience without the stuffiness, the servers are all so kind and informative. They will do their best to make sure you are happy with your night here. The restaurant is slightly whimsical if you look at the details of the decor, but overall moody in the best way. It's not the biggest restaurant so definitely more of an intimate environment. You cannot go wrong with any of the food. We did their date night special and it was a great way to try their menu. Cocktails are delicious, well balanced and will have you feeling good after one or two. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. All of their appetizers are great but would definitely recommend the tartar as a must. Highly recommend this place for people who want to eat fine dining but don't want to wear a suit!

Yelp
I love everything about this place. Foods are delicious Service was outstanding Inside decorate was pretty and elegant.

Yelp
This place is described as "casual fine dining" and I'd definitely say it hits the mark! This place has been on my radar for a bit and I decided to try it out on a Saturday evening. We made a reservation and I'm glad we did--the restaurant is on the smaller side so if you're a large party I'd recommend it. I ordered the campanelle and my date got the market fish. We also ordered a drink as well that was priced at around $16--typical drink price in my opinion. Price wise we spent about $88 total which is pretty decent for fine dining. Like most fine dining places, portions were small however not so small that you'd leave feeling hungry. But this is definitely not the place I'd recommend coming to completely starving. The food was amazing--well crafted, seasoned, and cooked. The waiter recommend the campanelle over the confit pork belly that I had been considering and I'm glad I got it because I absolutely adored it! Tasted like authentic pesto pasta! The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for an intimate date night. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
Food was delicious, ambience was great and the staff was pleasant. They did seem to be understaffed on a Saturday night so it took a REALLY long time for food and drinks to arrive. Would definitely give it another try though.

Samantha B.

Yelp
Such a great spot! Cute ambiance, great food, and service. After our pre-dinner plans fell through, I was a little bummed, but this place made up for it 10-fold (they were not aware of the change). We are not close, but we will be back! Thank you!

Yelp
It was a fun experience! The atmosphere was very comfortable, elevated but still casual. The food was incredible and very unique (fried mushrooms) and the drinks were tasty. Our server was attentive and very nice. I would highly recommend falling down this rabbit hole.

Yelp
It was ok... the ambiance was great, I liked the decor. The service was ok as well. The drinks and food in general could be better (not the best to be honest) The menu is seasonal so maybe next time it would be better!!!

Yelp
Falling Rabbit is a very chic restaurant in Downtown Duluth and it gives me Alice in Wonderland vibes. My girlfriends and I came in for a Saturday night happy hour and had a great time. The decor is absolutely stunning and no detail is missed. The service was wonderful and our waitress did a great job. The cocktails are strong and delicious and only $8 for happy hour. I had the Paloma with a nice grapefruit twist and the Margarita with lime and salt. My friends had the French 75, Amaretto Sour, and Paloma as well and they enjoyed it. The downside is that the food portions are super small! We ordered a couple charcuterie platters to share and we were surprised at how little was offered. The platter contents were less than satisfying from the meats to the cheeses to the olives. Not impressed with the food. Honestly, I give 3 stars for the ambiance and cocktails but the food leaves much to be desired in terms of portions, quality, and flavor.

Yelp
Impeccable all-around experience! The inside/outside of the restaurant is just as cute as you'd expect from looking at this restaurant on Yelp. I really love the artsy, eclectic vibes of this restaurant. The food was amazing. Unique, creative, and tasty. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this restaurant and I am looking forward to returning.

Yelp
What a treat! Came here on a Friday night (3/31) and really enjoyed the whole experience. After all it's not just about the food when we try something new, you take in the ambience, decor, and overall vibe. And that's what Falling Rabbit Restaurant was for us a whole experience! The decor inside is unique, really something to see with abstract art, a neon sign "Let me lick your plate" and other rabbit related items throughout even in the bathrooms. They have nice teal velvet seating areas and benches such a classy touch! On to the drinks..... I had the Plot Twist a delicious take on a dirty martini, my husband had the Rose Gold and my friend had the No sleep till Brooklyn and the Spellbound. All of them were fantastic honestly. Get your cameras ready for the spellbound which comes out with a big bubble on top that you "pop" by pouring a lemon concoction that smokes. As far as the food goes everything we ordered was delicious, especially the Fried Maitake (mushroom) an appetizer like no other. For dessert I had the key lime flip drink which was every bit as good as the actual pie. Our waiter who's name was Max I believe, I wish I had paid closer attention to that detail because he was PHENOMENAL. He was attentive without being over bearing and knew just when we needed him and went above and beyond to answer all our questions. You can tell he really knows and enjoys his job! The only downside, and it's minor ( for most) is the parking. Ladies if you're wearing heels maybe you can be dropped off because it's a hike up a small hill from where we found parking. No Valet available. I would highly recommend and plan on returning!

Yelp
Ambiance definitely a 10/10, walking in you feel like your being teleported into a different world, place is truly beautifully decorated giving off a lavish Alice in wonderland vibe, very whimsical, walking in had high expectations. First of all service was amazing, the staff was friendly, attentive and it was beautiful how smoothly they ran their shift, helping each other out and making sure all our needs were met. Cocktails were fun, refreshing and beautifully thought out, but sadly was the only thing worth mentioning. Food was just okay-I love the concept of the restaurant and the menu though-- limited items and options to chose from and an ever changing menu from what the waitress let us know, sounds fun. But sadly the food was just okay. Food was lacking in flavor, potato's dumpling were cooked perfectly but only tasted like dough felt like the potatoes filling forgot to make an appearance, Shaved Brussel Caesar was fresh and had a nice crunch, The Fava bean soup though was flawless, rich flavors and just the right amount of citrus to balance it all together, kudos to the chef on that soup. But my partner ordered the fish. Which we just questioned if should smell as fish as it did (luckily it didn't taste fishy but the smell was very overpowering) and I had the skirt steak which was cooked beautifully-but was lacking seasoning and salt. For the price and being such a limited menu, the food didn't seem worth the price. I love the concept but maybe we came on a bad night. This place is gorgeous .definitely a place to impress someone on a date and the service was the true definition of hospitality.

Yelp
I've been here twice and both times just for drinks. However, on the second visit, I got to try a couple of their desserts. The space is beautiful, moody and sexy. Upscale vibe. Great for dates and girls night out. The staff was friendly and attentive. The menu is unique and changes seasonally. During my first visit, I ordered the Rosy Days Ahead. It's a chai infused Four Roses, cocchi rosa and pomegranate. Wonderful combination! I really enjoyed it. I went back a couple of weekends ago and ordered a spicy margarita. The bartender asked for my preference and made it just the way I like; strong with a little kick of jalapeño. My girlfriends and I had just finished brunch at a different restaurant so we decided to order dessert here. We chose the strawberry matcha cream puffs and the sweet potato dessert, I don't recall the exact name. I love matcha desserts and don't like a strong matcha flavor, but thought theirs was a little too subtle. Both desserts were delightful nonetheless and the presentation was beautiful. I will definitely be back to try some of their entrees!

Yelp
I tried the hash (pork brisket, kimchi, Okinawa sweet potatoes, , sunny egg, percorino) and shrimp & grits (Cajun spiced shrimp, cheddar grits, crispy bacon). The two were good mixed together. Baby bird cocktail (Luna Azul Reposado, Cinnamon, Cocchi Rosa, Hard Cider Egg White) was delicious, not strong, the egg gave it a creamy/velvet texture. Interior is super cute and very pleasing to the eye.

Yelp
Great upscale restaurant located in downtown Duluth! We came here on a double date night and it was perfect! The decor is high end and really makes you feel like you stumbled down the rabbit hole so to speak. I do wish the lightening was just a bit more dim to really enhance the ambiance. Our server was friendly and attentive. We came on Wine Wednesday which offered half priced wine by the glass. I tried a Cabernet that was quite good. For appetizers, we had the charcuterie board which had the MOST amazing sweeten butter. I could have eaten tubs of it. The crumpets were CARBS HEAVEN. All the meats were great as well. I don't like cheese but everyone else inhaled it. We also got a dozen grilled oysters which were SO SO SO good. And presentation was gorgeous. BBQ cauliflower was a bit too sweet for my taste. For entree, I tried the pork cheek which OMG SO FATTENING and DELICIOUS. My fiancé had the duck leg which I honestly thought was a little dry and under seasoned. My SIL had salmon which was great. And my BIL loved his venison loin. Would definitely recommend if you are wanting a nice night out. Perfect for date nights!
google avatar

Yelp
Super cool spot! Stopped here for drinks during the Duluth Fall Fest and will definitely will be coming back to try the food. They had a special Fat Rabbit menu for the occasion with deals for the fest goers and a whole roasted pig outside. Too bad they only had plastic cups; my Manhattan would've been totally amazing in the proper glass. We also tried Adictivo Tequila (Anejo, super delish). And I'm in love with their bar stools :)

Yelp
Presentation of foods and the decoration/ambiance of the restaurant is great. Taste of foods, however, fall short. Very salty steaks and few appetizers we ordered were missing something I couldn't quite figure out. I will try again.
google avatar

Peter B.

Yelp
Really layered flavors in the food! Reasonably priced for the quality! Jules was our server and she was super friendly and made great suggestions. This is a great spot for a date night or a night out with friends.
google avatar

Crystal J.

Yelp
Honestly, everything was delicious. The focaccia was one of the best dishes I've ever tasted. The ambiance was perfect for our girls night out. The only negative I would say is that the drinks are pretty small. Delicious, but small. I definitely recommend!!

Alex S.

Yelp
Great service and lovely ambiance but the food was a bad miss from start to finish. We tried the tuna, mushrooms appetizer, bolognese, and short rib. Nothing was particularly good except the sea island peas in the tuna dish. The bolognese was unedible with extremely al dente pasta. The short rib was somehow tough and not very flavorful and the mushrooms a seeming play on tempura that failed. The cocktails, however, were pretty good but not exceptional. Despite the lovely and cheerful service, I cannot recommend falling rabbit, especially at this price point.
google avatar

Joshua R.

Yelp
I was so impressed by my experience that I returned the following night! The ambiance was truly one-of-a-kind and sophisticated, and the cuisine was clearly crafted with intention and a focus on quality.

Yelp
This place is a perfect date night or special occasion place. The decor is beautiful and relaxing. The servers so nice and knowledgeable. But the food, I cannot stress enough a little piece of heaven. Three courses , all unique and appealing to the eye. Then the taste is just mind blowing. Your senses will thank you.

Yelp
From the moment my sister and I stepped into the Falling Rabbit our breath was taken away by the Whimsical art and Ambience. We were greeted by the friendly hostesses and had a wonderful server named Mailin who just blew us away with her friendly demeanor, and wonderful service. The grilled oysters we're amazing and the Red Sea salt was just a beautiful decorative choice. The Crumpets were sooo yummy (though the honey butter could use a lot more honey) . But it paired well with the Pappardelle (which could have have done better with a hint more truffle) . We ended the meal with the Peach Fritter which was a divine dessert. This is the place to go when you want experience a nice dinner where you dress up , enjoy great drinks with unique meals . 10/10

Yelp
My best friend took my partner and I to this beautiful place for the first time. We must say Barbs was super attentive & lovely to meet & the manager as well. We were treated sooo nicely, from our waitress, to the ladies bringing out our dishes, to the bartender. The food was simply AMAZING!!!! Each dish was filled with gusto, flavors left and right. The drinks were super YUMMY!!! Their food plate presentations are really super nice. Needless to say we will definitely come back. This is a lovely place to come and have a date with your significant other, to have drinks or just come and taste their daily menu selections (which are due to change daily). The restaurant is also decorated beautifully

Yelp
What's a lady to do ona Friday night but stroll in downtown Duluth and land in the Falling Rabbit! This place is quaint, easily accessible near a parking garage and sits on the corner where all the locals such as myself can go to for local fare with friendly vibes and nice ambiance. The decor is gorgeous and pairs well with the food and drinks. Our waiter Max went over and beyond by going over each dish with stated ingredients to point us in the right direction for a great meal. This place is fabulous and a good place for conversations, firm drinks and solid food!.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Came in for our anniversary! The vibe is amazing! Service was even better! True Love was our server and she made our night much brighter! Don't even get me started on the desserts! Just 10/10 all around!

Yelp
Loved this local place! Great cocktails, food, and decor. We came here in a couples date night and enjoyed the service. Will go again and try brunch next!

Yelp
Now this is a cool place! On our way to Good Word Brewing we were lucky enough to stumble upon this new restaurant in downtown Duluth. They had a sandwich board out front advertising happy hour specials. Although the happy hour specials were not too special ($10 for a craft cocktail) we were certainly glad that we stopped in for a couple of drinks. This restaurant is beautifully decorated with every attention to detail wrapped in chic, sexy creativity. Rare is it that I find a restaurant designed so wonderfully - a big kudos to the owner! Looking forward to a return visit so that we can dine!

Yelp
Much better experience than last time! Our server, Ben, was very attentive & friendly. Got a table right away on a Friday's evening. Excellent service & the foods tasted soooo much better!! The crumpets were hot, fresh & buttery. I love the honey butter w/ chive oil that came with it!!! The grilled oysters, Salmon Tartare & Duck Wings were delish as well. My least favorite was the Eggplant Bao, I think the 10yr aged provolone messed it up for me. Overall, love the ambiance, location, service & foods so I'll def be back!!

Maya C.

Yelp
Love this place. It is pricey but you get what you pay for, and this place is worth every penny. The ambience, service, and food are top tier. We love to bring friends and family that are coming to visit to this place for a "casual fine dining" experience. It does not disappoint, and highly recommend !!

Yelp
I've lived in this general area for years and never even noticed this place. The name threw me off as I didn't make a connection with it as a restaurant. I really wish I found this place earlier. The food, atmosphere, drinks, service, location, and everything in between was absolutely wonderful. Super cute date night environment if you wanted to impress someone without having to drive into Atlanta. I highly recommend making reservations as seating is limited and it is located I n the busy downtown Duluth area. Dress code is not enforced (from what I noticed) but every man had on slacks or jeans at a minimum with collared shirts and some sport coats. I can't say they are "pricey" because you are getting very high end dishes that justify the price. I don't mind paying for quality. Enjoy!

OUTSTANDING MEAL WITH AMAZING SERVICE!! i stopped by here on new years day and had their new years menu. i tried every dish on their new year's menu and each one was different and delicious. it's really hard to name a favorite but i was absolutely blown away by the oysters!! i was also pleasantly surprised with the chicken liver mousse. i would never order it, but it was very good. their menu is ever-changing which i love because it means something new to try! they also have fun and exciting cocktails. the spellbound is a very popular one since it is aesthetically pleasing. the inside is nicely decorated and is very chic. it's a great place for a nicer meal. plus, the service was on point. the staff was very helpful and explained each dish beautifully. if you're in the duluth area, definitely try this spot!! even if you're not, it's worth a trip here. i cant wait to come back and try other dishes!

Yelp
The most fun food adventure! So many bright colors and unique flavor combos to delight you and your whole group. The cocktails are pure entertainment. This place is a vibe - the fallen down the rabbit hole vibe of whimsy and wonder. Pick anything from the menu, you can't go wrong. Adventure awaits!

Yelp
PROS: Unique restaurant with nice ambiance, great food, and amazing hostess. It sits in a very nice location since you can walk around and visit the local shops. Also, you can make reservations in advanced if you prefer to not wait. CONS: Not sure the vibe they are going for as the music shouts very casual however the food is more fine dining. In addition, we sat at the bar which felt much more casual than anticipated. One of the bartenders spent majority of his time flirting with one of the patrons and was quiet aggressive/assertive when serving us rather than welcoming and friendly. Price is okay - drinks/food are on the pricier end however it's worth the try (duck wings, pork belly). Overall, I would recommend visiting at least once however unlikely we will return for a second look. EDIT: reading other reviews, it seems they have a track record of having subpar service and could use attention in this department.

Yelp
I've never been so depressed after a meal. Everything is so pretty here and the ambience is amazing. I'm sure if you just come here for drinks it's also amazing. This is the first time that Yelp has left me so disappointed based on the reviews. Everything here was so heavy and every single dish did not taste good. The bucatini was supposed to be a pesto pasta but was in a heavy thick cheesy cream that was completely in edible. The brisket toast had a good flavor but it was impossible to eat more than one or two bites because it was so heavy. I think one of the issues here as well is that there is only one texture to everything and the texture is soggy. The summer squash which I thought would be a light and refreshing dish was also soggy and overcooked. That paired with a really rich sauce made everything just taste like mush. The sauce also was incredibly overpowering. The rabbit was OK, but also pretty inedible and we didn't finish any dish that we had here. The service as well was horrible. Our server acted like she didn't even care. It's one room and it took me five times to try to wave her down before she even noticed anything. And, it was not busy. I'm not sure if these people even eat their food to be honest because I can't imagine why on earth the food is so bad. It's also disappointing because the presentation is really nice. I hope it improves because I had really high hopes.

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend for brunch on a Saturday after seeing a TikTok about this place. It looked so good in the video and I was so excited to try! Unfortunately, Falling Rabbit left a lot to be desired. The food itself looked aesthetic and appetizing but it just didn't taste good! The service itself was subpar and we were left waiting to receive the check and for them to bring it back to us for a long time. My boyfriend ordered the classic breakfast and I ordered the tempura mushrooms (which came with scrambled eggs and toast as part of brunch). I think they also have the tempura mushrooms as an appetizer during their dinner course. The classic breakfast was okay and they let you substitute items, but the grits were not good. It's pretty hard to mess up the rest of the dish. I would say the best item on this plate were the potatoes. Now, the tempura mushrooms looked great, but they were not dried enough prior to frying and were not well seasoned. The mushrooms barely had any flavor and they were wet inside the batter. I did enjoy the squash purée, which was a nice touch to this dish. Regarding COVID precautions, they don't seat 6 feet apart and you're basically free to sit wherever. I thought they were trying to distance tables until they let another party sit a foot away. The staff wear masks so that is something I appreciated.

Yelp
We got here at 6:30, ordered appetizers and entrees by 6:45, we told the server we had somewhere to be afterwards. By 7:30, we asked about our food, she said the pork chop we ordered took a long time to cook. The food finally came out at 7:50, an whole hour after we ordered. My steak was over cooked and the pork chop was very dry. We had to send it back and we didn't have time to wait for them to recook it. Luckily for us, we ordered two appetizers (charcuterie board - small and not worth mentioning, grilled oysters - just okay) and at least got to eat something before having to leave. Only thing good was the brussel sprouts. Nice atmospheres, server was very nice however food took too long and wasn't good.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. I've visited for happy hour drinks and appetizers and brunch now. Both experiences were great. Staff was attentive on both visits. The have a nice open patio, but I prefer the space inside. They have a good selection of cocktails and wine. We enjoyed the grilled oysters, fresh oysters, and tempura mushrooms on one visit. The oysters were great, it would be nice having some mignonette for the fresh ones. The portion for the mushrooms was perfect for the group to share. For brunch I recommend getting the crumpets and waffles. They were so good. They also have $20 mimosa pitchers.
