"The char-grilled items are the main draw at this ‘open-fire (falò) Italian’ eatery. Chef Kashimura was captivated by the dramatic sight of sizzling chunks of meat and the flavour of the meat at the first barbecue he experienced. The fish warayaki, scorched as if smoked in burning straw, is a favourite, as is the porchetta, slow-grilled for over an hour. The subtle fragrance of charcoal enfolds the ingredients. Seating is arranged as if customers are sitting around a bonfire." - Michelin Inspector

Creative and delicious Italian inspired food, good wine selection(mostly natural though) and comfy atmosphere with counter seating around open kitchen.

I stumbled upon this place and could not be any happier I did. The food is outstanding and overall this is a very special place. It's tucked away on the fourth floor of an office building but feels like it's a hidden gem miles away. The amuse I received was a pickled mackerel drizzled with EVOO and tried herbs and seeds and was the first wonderful surprise. I started with my server's recommendation of warm smoked/habichi-grilled eel with Yuzu vinaigrette and chives - phenomenal! This was followed by a big stalk of white asparagus with a Bolzano sauce - delicious! The spaghetti with crispy mushrooms in an anchovy sauce could not have been any better. As you sit at a counter you can watch the food being prepared and I saw some amazing items being served that I would love to try if I ever get a chance to go back. The wines offered fit the menu well and the server was very competent and kind. The price level is very fair given the quality and generous servings. All in all a wonderful experience and I thank the entire team.

Ambience was great - open kitchen style so no matter where you sit you’ve a good view of the action. Food wise, the grilled Katsuo and the grilled pork were excellent. The only thing I wasn’t impressed by was the pasta. Had better pasta at a lower price elsewhere. Wine selection was not too bad too. Overall would visit again to try the other menu items.

A unique experience unlike any I’ve had. They welcomed us with a translated menu that had all the chef recommendations, including the salmon roe toast and venison with mushrooms (both pictured). We also tried the duck, and it was superb (and a little on the spicy side, which was a pleasant surprise). watching them prepare and assemble artful meals is a mesmerizing experience, especially when all sorts of meat are marinated over the coals and you get to see the cooking process. We also tried the milk gelato for dessert and it tasted just like Hokkaido milk ice cream, except the texture was much creamier. Definitely give them a try, but call to make a reservation!

すべてがおいしい!! Well worthy of its inclusion in the Michelin Guide. An amazing experience watching the chef cook on open wood coal flames. Make sure this is included in your Tokyo Fine Dining list. Bookings are essential to avoid disappointment.

Great Japanese Italian food in a cool atmosphere with an open kitchen and charcoal grill. Service was excellent and almost every dish we had was delicious. There's a 300 yen per person table charge that comes with a tasting of their gazpacho. My wife and I ordered the corn pana cotta with sea urchin, squid ink rice croquettes, grilled mackerel (sanma), lasagna, grilled lamb, Genovese pasta, and bread. The bread we got was a little burnt and the pasta tasted a little different from the pesto we're used to but was cooked perfectly al dente. Every other dish was amazing. My wife, who typically doesn't like mackerel, found that fish to be very good too. We got the zabaione ice cream for dessert which was OK. Overall, we had a great experience and would come back. We also came by on a Wednesday night at 7:30 PM without reservations and they were able to seat us without any problems. There were 8 other diners that night and I think the restaurant seats about 25.

This was a great Italian restaurant. The food has layers of flavor. I enjoyed everything I tried. Even the Ginger Ale was good. I would definitely come back. It was a small space as most places are in Tokyo so when the chef was cooking you could see your food being prepared. We didn't have a reservation and luckily we were able to get a seat. I highly recommend making a reservation.

Celebrated my birthday here last year, I got a meat platter with a candle on it! All the seats are facing the cooking station so you can watch how the dishes are prepared! The place was a bit hard to find (B1) though so be sure to get there a bit early. If you want to try the porchetta, you will have to prebook it. It’s a must try!
