I have been to a lot of breweries, and I have had a lot of beers, and this place is the absolute best brewery I've ever tried. Every beer I've ever tried here is at least 4 stars, and there are a few 5 stars (I don't hand out 5 stars lightly). I live in North Carolina, but anytime I fly into DFW, I make sure to swing by here at least once. I even get the Friday new release texts every Friday, even though I live nowhere close.

Google
This is about my 3rd time stopping at false idol and the beer and staff never disappoint. They have more than just one beer style and they master them all very well. Really nice and comfy brewery with an indoor/outdoor area which is pet friendly and family friendly. Workers are always super helpful and talkative and not just their standing. Can't wait to be back again. Cheers!

Google
pretty good. had the pilsner and the hef. didnt get a chance to try the ipa's yet, but maybe next time :)

Google
It's a straight forward brewery with good beer and fast service. The taps are good. The seats are OK. The patio has potential. Bring your own food and board games. The only complaint we had was the water from a 5 gallon jug. I mean, really? Y'all use RO water for your beer, right? Why not provide something clean and flavorless for between taps rather than Fort Worth tap water. 🤔

Google
Really nice vibe inside the brewery, it was bright and lively. The staff was very friendly and helpful with selections from their giant list of beers. We had a couple of flights before settling on a raspberry cinnamon sour which was excellent.

Google
I had an amazing time at trivia night with Rachel at False Idol Brewery! Rachel was a fantastic host—engaging, funny, and kept the energy up all night. The questions were the perfect mix of challenging and fun, keeping everyone on their toes. The atmosphere at False Idol is always great, but trivia night with Rachel really takes it to the next level. It’s the perfect way to spend an evening with friends, enjoy great beer, and put your knowledge to the test. I can’t wait to come back for more! Highly recommend!

Google
I’m giving this brewery 5* because the beer was really good. I tried 8 beers (Lager, IPAs, and Stouts) and all of them were solidly above average or better. The price point is on the high side for take away, but you get what you pay for. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and vibe was good. It was a nice night so they had the doors open. But I could see it feeling a bit small when the summer hits. I’ll be back for sure

Google
Awesome! The place is cool. They have outdoor patio too; more than 10 different options you can taste, they also sell them in cans. You can get a sampler and choose 4. They have crayons and coloring sheets of wolves, also they have board games. The art in the wall is neat. Restrooms are clean and the music is perfect. The cashier was super friendly and she helped us out while choosing our delicious beers. We will totally go back 🥳

Yelp
A hidden gem! Our friends came here after the Christmas in Color light show which was about 5 minutes away. First off, I love the atmosphere, the furniture, and the people. It was a chill type of vibe and everyone was very social and inviting. We came at the perfect time - a large group left so lots of available seats! The restrooms are located by the entrance. As you enter the brewery, there's games available, large pitcher of water, and kids and pets are welcomed! The drink menu was above the bar... a great place to have it! My husband is the beer drinker so he knows which one I'd like. It was a light beer and it was delicious! I wish I remembered the name. My husband had an amber ale and one that tasted like coffee. Very interesting and creative! I saw some people ordered the flight which is something I know my husband would like the next time we come here. They also provide wine and ciders, but I didn't see any food menu. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

Yelp
My wife and I have an excellent time every time we go to False Idol. They have a ton of excellent beers to try and are always rotating / trying new things so there's always something new to try. The location is dog friendly (which means I'm going to ask you if I can pet your dog) and has a great atmosphere with TV's on the wall where you can watch sports or whatever is on TV. There is no food on site, but you are welcome to bring you own, which I highly suggest b/c you're going to want to try a bunch of beers (they also have flights of beers) :0) Definitely check out False Idol Brewing, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
So I'm sitting here, in Erie, Colorado, hitting breweries left (hand) and right, and Yelp reminds me of a brewery back home, but have not reviewed. To be honest, with at least 8 Colorado breweries fresh in my mind, False Idol is a little foggy, like an hazy IPA. I remember good service will sitting at the bar. The interior is a large room with picnic tables. I recall a very active calendar, with many regular events through the week. I hope, if you haven't been here, this review motivates you to check it out. I enjoyed it.

Yelp
Female server was exceptional. Helped us find a great local pizza establishment by recommendation. She was great at putting on Monday night football. Splendid attitude. I would recommend. Their lager was tasty [viva los vaqueros] 22 beers on tap. 3 TVs .

Yelp
This place is great ! It was my first time and I was with my friend Gary. They have plenty of seating inside and outside! They have lots of options to choose from with a constant changing rotation of beers and more ! We enjoyed a flight which comes with 4 diff choices. I'm a big IPA fan and I was very impressed to see that they had so many available. They even had an IPL and it was very good . They also have non-alcoholic choices, like THC seltzers and Terps !! I love that they have these options. Sometimes I have these instead of beer. The only thing missing is food. I know they had originally planned for it but had to make some tough decisions. This is a great place to enjoy beer and socialize with friends and family. I'll def be back.

Yelp
We were working our way back from Dallas to Austin and doing a little brewery hunting. We stopped in at False Idol in Ft Worth. The place was busy, football on the TVs and a good selection of beers. We enjoyed a good hazy and I had a nice West Coast IPA. The owner Sean came by, we talked and he offered some suggestions on his beer list. All in all, a nice place for some beer and a really friendly and welcoming spot. We would be sure to stop by here again when we are in the area.

Yelp
Didn't try the food just the beer lol! Super delicious variety of flavors for the beer ranging from light to dark brews! The staff was chill, they're happy to recommend and tell you all about the different flavors going on !! Ambiance is super dog friendly family vibes!! And they have bored games ! ... but after leaving and getting home I noticed someone had hit our car. There's no cameras outdoors unless that patios open. So everyone knows.

Yelp
Pit stop by this brewery in NRH with my cousin, such a low key and great place to grab some refreshing brewed drinks. It was my first time and I asked for recommendations and absolutely love the selection there. I'll definitely be back when I'm on that side of town again. Side note: BYOF (Bring your own food) I didn't know, so next time I'll order some food and get it delivered and hang out.

Yelp
Stopped on a Tuesday mid afternoon. Here is what we liked: * Dog friendly * Fun atmosphere * Beer flights available * friendly staff What could be better- * And this is totally subjective, Amber beer on the menu. Had a fun time and will visit every time we are in the area.

Yelp
I've been to false idol twice at this point. Once with a group that I met up there which was a really nice experience. Staff was friendly, drinks good, and plenty of space for a good sized group to be able to sit and chat over some drinks. The second time I had come to pick some things up to take to a yearly friend get together where we bring goodies from our parts of DFW and meet up at the most central spot. This is where I had to learn my rule when it comes to Breweries; don't always count on everything on the website actually being what they have. We had folks in our group look at their website to give us ideas of what they wanted to try cause they are on the Plano side of DFW. Every single thing my friends asked for wasn't available, even thought they were not obviously seasonal named or flavored beers. At least one or two of the beers on their site they said they hadn't had easily in over a year. We unfortunately had to leave empty handed and swing by another brewery that we already knew what folks liked at; on our way out due to time constraints. Cause we weren't in a position to have the extra time to try to get 5 peoples new options. So, my biggest tip for them would be to keep their menu online updated or at least take things off and just have posts of new stuff on social media.

Yelp
I love the place, great choice of beers. No food available, but you can bring in outside food. Service is great! Beer tenders and nice and will give you beer suggestions if you are unsure what to get. The space is not overly huge, but there has always been enough seating, indoor and outdoor is dog friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Cool spot , close to a neighborhood. Love their IPAs. Wolf inspired brewery. Definitely will be back

Sloan H.

Yelp
False idol is one of our favorite breweries! Best service, beer and love the indoor/outdoor atmosphere. They have so many options for the kids!
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
This brewery is quite a ways out of my way, but when I finally made the trip out I was not disappointed. They had a plethora of great offerings and numerous higher ABV stouts and IPAs. One of the owners happened to sit next to me at the bar and we had a great conversation. Super nice dude, and took the time to answer all my questions about brewing. Will definitely go out of my way to get back by again!
google avatar

April S.

Yelp
Women owned business alert! Went for a Friends trivia night. Took our own food! Staff is awesome. Always checking on us. They let you try before you decide which is awesome. They have a full selection of craft beers. Good patio (too cold) and pets are welcome. The ambiance is great. Lots of tables and chairs and bar seating in a big open room with tvs on for sports watching! The spot is king of hidden so if you are heading North turn right before the Racetrack and drive through the neighborhood. If you are traveling South turn left after the Racetrack.
google avatar

Adam B.

Yelp
One of the best breweries in DFW. They always have a huge selection of beer, plenty of IPAs, which is my favourite. It's got a great brewery vibe. And they have a few TVs and usually have a local game on!
google avatar

Jackie Q.

Yelp
Honestly stopped by because I had to use the restroom really badly, but ended up sharing a flight. Luckily there was one parking spot available nearby, but parking can definitely be tricky on a busy night. We tried the Viva Los Vaqueros, Fenris Park, Wanna Be Ballers, and Mamaretto. Four choices per flight, build your own style. We were really interested in the Blackberry but they stopped serving that two hours before closing. I've always been a fan of sours and tripels, a disliker of IPAs and stouts, so naturally I found the Mamaretto to be most pleasant. The bartender was extremely helpful in explaining how flights worked here to us and giving us an idea of their most popular options. I would come back to try that Blackberry and the Mamaretto again!
google avatar

Ray H.

Yelp
If you're looking for the best Hazy IPAs west of Dallas, this is your place! They also consistently churn out amazing barrel aged stouts and carry something for everyone. It's a very relaxed vibe with an outdoor patio. There are almost always cans to go as well. If you're into craft beer, this is a must stop if you're in town visiting. They have a few TVs for game watching and you can bring food or order delivery from many surrounding businesses. They also have some cool original murals painted inside. Very dog friendly as well!
google avatar

David O.

Yelp
The Service is phenomenal! The staff is beyond helpful and descriptive, always willing to answer questions and give you recommendations!

Yelp
I'm a sucker for a great tap room with a buzz of local energy, a diverse beer menu, and passion for flavorful brews. False Idol is one of several that has popped up around the pandemic and developed into a cool place to go to spend an afternoon or evening enjoying a flight. As is true of most micro-breweries, False Idol is tucked away in a hidden industrial area near TCC Northeast Campus. It's not much to look at on the outside. Inside is setup exactly how you want it to be. A long bar with several tenders, a wide area with tables, funky murals on the walls, and a section with sweet merch. I tried every stout on the menu, enjoying Banana Stacks 14% (Imperial Stout with cinnamon, maple, and bananas) and McFly Mode 13% (Imperial Stout with Peanut Butter & Marshmallows) the most. Both were bold, thick, and sweet. Turning Point makes my favorite stouts in the area. But, they have been short on them lately, which gave me more impetus to come here. False Idol's menu has *22 custom brews*, an impressive listing! Highly recommended for your beer needs!

Yelp
Loved this little brewery. Amazing beer. The cherry pie actually tastes like cherry pie. You can even taste the cinnamon and crust flavor. Easily my new favorite. The Tropical Fantasy is also good but not on par with the Cherry. Great little place to go to.

Yelp
Great local hangout with a good selection and taste. Must try. The staff are very friendly and helpful

Yelp
False Idol is always a great time. We invited several people to join us today. First we enjoyed several beers at the tap room. False Idol is so amazing for their stouts!!! 12% and up. As the crowd gathers we started open up bottles. We had beers and mead from all over the country. Some are subtle and some were very boozy. It was great to meet a couple of folks that were not use to drinking beer before had a great experience. They found a couple of beers that they liked. It makes me so happy.

Yelp
Came in on a random Tuesday and Matt took GREAT care of us. Above and beyond service! Almost as nice as Amy on the weekends.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved it. Great beer, friendly service, relaxed casual atmosphere, they allow dogs!!!
google avatar

Yelp
False idol is an NRH gem. I love the vibe here - The workers are so kind and knowledgeable and will help you regardless of how much you know about beer. I personally love their tea infused beer options. I've had two now and both have been fantastic. Often they have a great food truck partner on site so be sure to look up those options when you decide to try it out! False idol is able to be indoor and outdoor with their garage making it perfect if you are looking for a patio!
google avatar

Yelp
Nice brewery in the mid cities area. It reminds me of its mid cities neighbours; Turning Point, Brutal Beerworks. The beers we had were good, the hefe and kolsch - both nice and easy to drink. We did find that the menu lacked much description, maybe we should have used the QR code menu. The building is pretty nondescript, we weren't even sure if they were open as there wasn't any signage on the door - there that new I guess. Tables were blocked off and spaced out due to COVID. They had some nice glassware as well.

Yelp
The parking is absolute insanity, spots are wonky, and the lot is busy. My advice is to park across the street in the strip center lot, you will have plenty for space and its only about 20 feet further. I met up with a gal-pal on a Friday evening and got there around 6pm. It looked totally packed but really the patio was packed but the "inside" had plenty of space. The inside is not really "inside" as it's more like garage door openings down the whole wall. I will say the vibe of the "inside" is lacking but the patio vibe is much more fun of an atmosphere, it made sense why everyone wanted to be outside. The inside is white, bland, very much an empty office vibe/feeling. Nothing fun or interesting to look at. Although atmosphere isn't the most important aspect it's still important, especially if your looking for a specific feeling or vibe from a place. I'd recommend getting there early for the patio area where it's definitely more fun. The beer- The beer were good, they had more typical brews, nothing crazy or interesting but we liked what we tried. We do like trying new or interesting flavors from local breweries but what we did try we did like. I can see how the more typical expected flavors are better for mass appeal and how you could bring a larger group here that would all be able to order something they could enjoy. Overall a solid spot, with a few areas that could use some improvement but I like a lot of things about this place, I'm glad there's a more local brewery that we don't need to drive to Dallas or FT worth to enjoy. Great mid cities option
google avatar

Samantha G.

Yelp
Loved it here! They are very dog friendly and pups are allowed inside and outside. Lots of different brews to choose from, from beers to kombucha. There are many different flavor profiles from sweet to sour to IPAs. Great place for a medium sized group or a smaller group.

Yelp
It just so happened that when we visited False Idol Brewing the day after our 10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, they were celebrating their 2nd Anniversary. I've gotta say, these guys know how to throw a party!!! We parked in the lot across the street, because the usual carpark was full of vendors, a food truck, dunk tank, and more beer than they could stock at the bar area. There were beers of every kind, and many of the staff were dressed for the occasion (You'll see what I mean). I tried a couple different ones outside my comfort zone, but stuck mostly with stouts. Each had a nuanced flavor profile or ingredient that made them stand out from each other. People were playing Cornhole, beer pong, all while a mariachi band came to play. You could dunk your favorite, or least favorite employees as well. A great time was had by all. This is a group of fun loving, hard working guys, with a passion for making great beer. If you're in the area, definitely check them out. You don't have to wait for their next anniversary either. They've got promotions and fun activities all during the week. If you're a fan of good beer, go by and say hi.

Yelp
We love this brewery! Great beers and ambiance especially when it's nice out. Very dog friendly and we love their daily deals!

Yelp
Great drinks and atmosphere. Prices were okay. Bartender was very friendly. Had a great time
google avatar

Meg S.

Yelp
Friendly staff, and delicious beers. The sours are amazinggggg! I can't wait to return and bring the pups next time since they're dog friendly
google avatar

RJ C.

Yelp
Good beer from a local brewery. I am in awe of any brewery that can create more than two good tasting beers. What do I say about one that produces at least 5? Now I have to go back for more flights. Bring your dog.
google avatar

Deya Z.

Yelp
Hubs and I tried to stop by in May 2020 when visiting family just before Covid really kicked into high gear and wee BUMMED that we were visiting about a month to early...fast forward to May 2021 and it was worth the wait! This is right up there with my fave spot, Turning Point. A good selection of IPAs (classics, hazy, and west coasts). I was in town for a week & stopped by 3 times! Good patio, though they could expand it just a bit to give folks more space. I'll definitely be back when visiting fam!
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. A little hole in the wall brewery that has a great variety to choose from. The atmosphere is amazing!

Jim B.

Yelp
False Idol is a great place to have good beer, but there are lots of places to have a good beer. At False Idol, it is relaxed and friendly. Families are welcomed. I've been there several times, and they are consistently good. If you like brewery atmosphere, this is the place.
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
False idol is a little hidden but worth the trouble to find. Has a local neighborhood feel and decent brews.
google avatar

Yush K.

Yelp
This might be the bets brewery in dfw! Maybe even one of the top in Texas! For someone who travels for beer... I find this place to be a gem. They have sour beers... like 5 of them and they aren't the kind of sours that hurt your throat.. super delicious sour beers. I compare their taste profile to Foam in Vermont. Great team! Awesome atmosphere! Dogs allowed. They have large place indoor outdoor. You can bring your own food! Or doordash/ubereat. Flights are available! I came here during covid they are following mask restrictions but I didnt see any sanitizers around... so probably bring your own. Try a flight because the beers are amazing. Price range $3-$7 Must try sour: Dole Mole, Ghost eye cherry Must try IPA: another IPa and Love hate
google avatar

Jack B.

Yelp
Went on open mic comedy night. It was a lot of fun. Comedians were funny, the beer was good and the staff was friendly. A bit smaller than what would be ideal (but I actually liked it). The only reason they get 4 stars is because they don't have food so I had to order door dash there. I'd go back and will update to 5-stars if that changes. Also, their T-shirt's are great.
google avatar

Steve W.

Yelp
Single, double, triple hazy New Englands. Always 2 or 3 good ones to choose from. Great atmosphere. Co-owner Sean is great and always provides good suggestions.

Yelp
Bring your dog!!! This is a great brewery to bring your dog to. Dogs are permitted both inside and outside the facility. The space is set up like this; they have the regular indoor brewery section, with several large garage door openings. If the weather is nice, those doors are open and just outside is a nice fenced in section with additional seating on artificial turf grass. During the afternoon hours, as the sun sets, the shadow will cover about 3/4ths of this area, so you get some decent shade. I wouldn't let your dog run loose in here, as there are other doors the dog exit if no one is watching, BUT for a place to bring your dog with some options for seating is excellent. OH and the beer. They have a large number of brews on tap for you to try. Most breweries have like 6-8 beers for you, this one has over a dozen! And they are all quite different. Not all of them were ones I completely liked, but I found some I did for sure. If you want to go to a nice brewery with a large selection of beers that are quite different not only from one another, but from any others you may have had, definitely check it out! OH and food- they may have someone from another company on site selling food. This is not a guarantee or anything, I think. When we were there a vendor was selling bowls of rice/gumbo for like $10 a pop. Kind of a lot, but it was excellent! Also, support your local businesses, yo!
google avatar

Ashley E.

Yelp
drinks were so yummy! i loved the chill atmosphere & vibes inside. the michelada was 10/10!!
google avatar

Jake M.

Yelp
This place is the best! Been here several times and it never disappoints. They continue to put out delicious beer and good vibes! They have a solid patio for when it's cooler weather as well as a decent bar and taproom on the inside. So glad this place is here and they have only gotten better since they first opened. If you have not tried their beer you must! Cheers!
google avatar

Adam P.

Yelp
Not exactly open yet, but it's got great potential! Very nice space inside with long bar and lots of tables. They were working on an outdoor space when we showed up yesterday that will have more tables, with some huge garage style doors they can open when the weather gets nice. Hopefully they'll be open for real soon! All the staff was cool, we bought some beers to go and will be back for sure! Another brewery crushing the hazy game! Beers I've had: Employee Agreement, All together, Cut the Red Tape - All highly drinkable!
google avatar

Sara R.

Yelp
Really love this brewery! The managment and staff are so helpful and friendly. The taproom and restrooms are so clean, which you dont always find at breweries. They have a very diverse menu and even offer different types of mimosas and beermosas which are super refreshing and a nice change on the weekends. Even the patrons are very nice. You can tell False Idol has created an amazing community. Oh, and we love the music! Super diverse fun playlist every weekend!
google avatar

Lucas E.

Yelp
Great little community brewery with a fun, vivacious taproom and really solid beers. Popped in for a couple quick ones on my way through DFW. Could have spent all night at False Idol. Really friendly service and some really well made beers. Especially enjoyed the IPAs but enjoyed each of the 4 beers I had in my flight, and the full pour I had after. Quirky decor makes for a cool setting. Plenty of room. No food, but can bring your own in. Lots of options around. Drink local!

Christopher R.

Yelp
COLD BEER! Wide variety of styles. Got confused by the name and didn't know whether to call it "The Wolf Den" or "False Idol". On the bright side, the taproom is VERY WELL LIT. Had to leave before I got a sunburn or my skin cancer ascended to a level beyond treatment. Bring sunglasses!
google avatar

Amanda J.

Yelp
Brand spanking new tap room and we absolutely loved our experience! Squeaky clean & socially distant, this brewery will be a staple for us. Started with a flight to try as many as possible - and truly enjoyed them all! I'm a sour, gose, lager, blonde and cider girl - and they had delicious choices like these! My husband loves NE IPA's and those lived up to the hype as well! My two faves would be the Fruited sour and the cider - but you can't go wrong. Mid-cities is really holding its own with awesome breweries (turning point, brutal beer works) and now False Idol joins the team! Thanks to the awesome brewers and staff - We will be back soon!
