Falsled Kro, 1744 - Relais & Châteaux

Our stay at Falsled Kro was absolutely amazing. The property exudes luxury and charm, creating the perfect setting for a memorable getaway. The food was simply outstanding—fine dining at its very best, with every dish beautifully crafted and full of flavor. The staff were exceptionally courteous, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed throughout our stay. A perfect combination of elegance, comfort, and world-class gastronomy. Highly recommended!

LOVED this charming hotel. The gardens are sublime and lots of nice little touches abound - we found the rooms attractive and cozy.|Bear in mind, some of the rooms have a step up to the bed, so that if you are someone that gets up in the middle of the night for the bathroom, best to be forewarned that there is that sneaky step. |Like many danish establshments, food is taken very seriously. Dinner is quite long and a production. That said? The course sizes seemed just right - you were not loaded up with food and we thought both dinner AND breakfast were perfectly executed with beautiful local ingredients (we happened to be walking through the dining room mid afternoon and were treated to a presentation from the chefs as to what had just come in from the garden) However, I would not want to eat in the dining room for more than one night -- in our case, we went into town for our other night. I personally would appreciate either a morning buffet, or a bit of discussion about the breakfast because I unnecessarily wasted some of it; but it was beautifully presented and delicious.|Nice gym and sauna (some of us also walked down to the ocean and took a dip in conjunction with the sauna) outdoor hot tub temperature was not all that hot, but the sauna was lovely. And all public spots such as gym, sauna, terrific shower and exercise area were spotlessly clean.

We had the most wonderful experience. The staff was extraordinary in every way. Daniel in particular made us feel so welcome and comfortable! It was from start to finish a truly special place!!

Absolutely wonderful! The room was amazing with many thoughtful touches. The grounds are gorgeous, and the afternoon cake and coffee was such a nice touch. The restaurant was incredible. Would love to stay again in the future!

A 5 star review for a 5 star hotel. An mazing visit to this old country side hotel and restaurant can only be recommended. We stayed for night with dinner and were to an amazing experience. The coffee and the with home made patisserie upon arrival was delicious, the evening dinner should rate a Michelin star and the service was impeccable. Afterwards we enjoyed soaking in the outside spa.||We stayed in a very nice double room on what I would describe as a small resort. The room had a fire place which warmed us after the spa. This was a splurge on our road trip around Denmark. The property is absolutely beautiful - every flower is perfect and the gardens are extraordinary. The room was very, very charming. You feel like you are staying in a fairy tale cottage. The service was also very, very good. It was extremely expensive, but all was very nice.||The only "downside" was the breakfast. It is a very formal, set menu affair with no choices. That wasn't the best for us as a family - not great for children. Also, it was exactly the same for both mornings of our stay - no variety. I would have preferred either more choices or a buffet.

Falsled Kro is world famous in Denmark for its fantastic setting, fantastic food and nice atmosphere. The first restaurant that served real French food in DK, I guess. Just informing that they have never had, and do not currently have a Michelin star (but of course they would like to…)|We spent one overnight stay, and we started with the cake table in the cozy inn room. The cakes are good, but beware - they are quite heavy, too. |We had some small delicacies waiting for us in the room - some fresh and dried fruit, some delicious ham, a small bottle of champagne. Unfortunately, the servings were for two people, but we were three? We considered complaining, but didn’t want to seem unsatisfied, so we just shared. |We had a reservation for the Finnish hot tub, and it was great fun and nice to sit outside in the warm water. If you got cold, there was a very nice sauna to get you warm again. Actually, I though the water in the Finnish tub was not warm enough; but it was a very cold day. I would recommend to keep it at a higher temperature, though. It was really lukewarm.|The dinner was lovely, very well prepared food served by good waiters. However, it didn’t hit the roof for me. For example, the desert that looks like an apple 🍏 was very sweet and soft textured, and without contrast, maybe lacked some acidity - my family basically did not like it. I had cheeses from the impressive cheese table - there was so much to choose from that it was nearly too overwhelming.|If you are not too tired, it is nice to sit in the inn room by the open fire after dinner. |Breakfast the next morning was good and well prepared, but again lacked the final touch to make it 5 TripAdvisor stars for me. So I remain a 4⭐️ for Falsled Kro, and I will certainly never be a regular.

It is tough to start and as well to make others understand why a hotel gets a certain rating. For me food is important as well as wine and I enjoy good service. Of course a location is the frame work to all this. When it comes to Falsled Kro the historical buildings and the beautiful garden is setting the right tone for sure but so far this is something a hotel owner can buy if there is enough money. The staff on the other hand is the link between good products, great food and wine and the surrounding the guests are in. To make it short I can’t remember the last time where everyone from the reception to the waiters to the chefs ( who you finally see at the table during service) were so welcoming, professional and well trained with the passion for what they are doing. It is enough said about the menu and rooms already, but the staff working there is the real beauty of this place.

The service is amazing ! The food is more than you can eat! The place is more of a summer place than winter . Best to get here near summer solstice . For main courses the seabass and May be that's because I am not a big meat fan. But it's a definitely great place to spark romance in your relationship.
