Fameux Gyros Elatos

Not bad! I ordered the poutine gyro. I loved the idea—there's so much potential to it—but was a little disappointed with what I got. When I order gyro wraps, the amazing sauce is my favourite part. The poutine gyro didn't have any of that sauce, just the regular poutine gravy. The layer of baked cheese on top was great but it didn't taste like gyro to me.

I took one bite out of the pita and saw heaven. Every bite after that was equally as delicious. I saw another review say something like “best gyro in the city/world” and i was like well i gotta see this for myself. So glad i did. The baklava cheesecake was really fresh and delicious too. It didn’t come apart and it didn’t feel too hard, really really good. I’m not a huge fan of poutine gratinée but the fries themselves were nice and fresh.

I heard very good things about the place but i found the food very mediocre. It is not bad but not good. I got the vegetarian pita combo. The fries were not salted at all, no not very good, the salad was fine enough. The pita was much less flavourful than expected, the tzatziki made it edible, but even that was just okay. I ended up adding my own sauce too. I think that the glowing reviews for this place are probably correct, just not for vegetarians, so I wouldn’t recommend for people who do not eat meat. I imagine the wrap with the meats would be quite delicious because the base is fine, just nothing special, and im sure meat would add the flavor i am missing. The portion sizes are bigger than i expected, and i feel that i well got my moneys worth out of the order, which boosted my review to three stars. I think meat eaters would find this restaurant very well priced for the portion sizes.

I got vegetarian Pita and the salad. Came out under 20$. Good portion and was super full. Recommend

Don't be fooled by the location and size of this neighborhood landmark. Elatos will not disappoint. Their gyros are among the best you'll find in the city. Friendly service, to boot!

Got the gyro poutine and it was incredible! I know that whenever I’m in MTL I will definitely be making a stop here. Tried gyro poutines elsewhere after this and it was not quite the same. Service was so good as well.

Came in with low expectations and now i feel terrible.. this place is amazing! The tzatziki is the best I’ve had in a very long while. The meat was juicy and savoury, even the salad was exceptional. No hesitation, this is my new favourite greek restaurant in Montreal. And i grew up in Chomedey. Pricing is very reasonable and the portions are huge.
