We just came back from a 7 day holiday at Moar Gut, and my only regret is that we didn't book longer. The hotel is incredible for both adults and young ones, with wholesome activities, great food, wonderful service, and a beautiful blend of nature and luxury. My 17M daughter had the BEST time feeding the rabbits, riding the tractor, visiting the kinderhof, jumping on the trampoline, swimming in the pool, playing in the sandpit, and of course dancing with Gusti! As an exhausted mom this truly felt like a holiday because I didn't have to worry about food or entertainment, as everything is provided. Every morning you are greeted with a newspaper outlining the activities of the day, there is not a moment of boredom. The food was delicious, we absolutely loved the breakfast, and really enjoyed the afternoon popups (the best Kaiserschmarrn). The staff is also accommodating of food requests for the little ones which I appreciate. 10/10, and can't wait to be back next year!

Amazing for kids but OMG THE FLIES!!!||Pros: SO much to do for kids! It’s like a Wonderland for children. Trampolines, gym for basketball hoops, rock climbing, amazing pool, incredible water slide that’s WARM, ball pit, art room, the list goes on. The food is nice, (though keep in mind it is served in mass quantities so some of it feels like upscale cruise quality vs a made to order restaurant.)||Cons: Expensive washing machines (4 euro a load, 3 euro to dry) and there are only two machine of each so it was kind of difficult to find a time when they were not in use. There aren’t a ton of options for picky vegetarian kids. We had a lot of pasta with tomato sauce and cheese sandwiches.||THE FLIES!!! Today is the warmest day we’ve had since being here (about 70 degrees) and good Lord the flies are intolerable!! We just had lunch and ALL the dining rooms were swarming with flies. They were bad this morning but this afternoon it is truly disgusting. At every moment there is at least one fly on our table and unless your food remains covered, a fly is guaranteed to land on your plate within a few minutes. We’ve been told and the reviews say “it’s because it’s a farm and it’s to be expected” but OMG the horses and goats do not RESIDE in the DINING ROOMS!! At least in their barn I noticed a fly zapping machine. Sticky paper and fly zappers need to be hidden in every corner of the eating areas because it is stomach turning and crazy making, especially because a lot of the food is buffet style and you know flies have already landed on it before it’s even made it to the plate. The flies are so bad they are literally crawling on the computers at the front desk (don’t ask me why). The only evidence I have that this is trying to be addressed is a few fans placed near some of the buffet items but they only detract the flies a few inches. It is so frustrating that the management doesn’t seem to care about this issue.||If it wasn’t for my husband who is very even keeled commenting that it was disgusting I would think I was taking crazy pills because all the staff and people around us seem to not react. In my country, the dining areas would not pass food inspection. ||There are also some flies in the room because the cleaning crew will open the windows when they clean. So we have some dead flies on our floor (ew stepping on them with bare feet) and they were landing on me and my husband in our sleep. ||To the management: PLEASE take better steps to mitigate the flies in the rooms and dining areas! It hugely impacted my view of the hotel and made meals unappetizing. Fly zappers in more spaces, screened doors, and hidden fly paper need to be present. ||My kids love it here and we would definitely be back if there were better pest control but I’m not sure I can tolerate this in the summer again because of the flies.

We had a lovely stay at Moar Gut which we liked more than the close by Edelweiss Resort. Moar Gut has great facilities but still feels quite intimate and personal. On all aspects everything is quite impressive except for one thing: the guests. Other great mountain hotels have a dedicated loyal following of civilized guests, adding social structure to these kind of places. At Moar Gut such an audience is missing. Saw too many "influencers" staying here affecting the coziness a bit. More emphasis on "old world guests" would make this place pretty much perfect.

By far the most luxurious family hotel I have ever stayed at or seen. If the Ritz Carlton, St. Regis, and Four Seasons decided to combine the best elements each offers (service, cuisine, location, spa) and then you added five star childcare in a kids club this is what you would get. The horseback riding facilities are top notch for winter (giant ampatheater with floating roof so you see the alps while you train) and summer, the fact they have a stable full of Icelandic horses (who have a gait easier for children to ride) us just icing on the cake. The new trampoline park (opened in summer 2024) is super fun for both older toddlers and teens (as well as parents.. My daughter loved watching me fall into the giant airbag). Climbing wall and gym are supplemented by new AR gaming (2 I-Wall plus another facility) facilities which provide fun activities during the rainy days. The petting zoo and farm are, on brand, beautifully maintained and full of friendly animals who your child can adopt for the week getting the chance to feed them and then get a certificate at the end which my daughter proudly displays on our wall. The staff in the kids club are extremely professional, kind, calm, and friendly providing plenty of cool crafting and fun activities (including feeding the animals) all day. Gusti, the mascot, comes to dance each evening providing a fun end to the day and a great point to set bedtime. The newly renovated spa facilities are world class, think orlan or red door level service with a huge menu of treatments and massages. Located five minutes from the Grossarl ski lifts, which they bring you to whenever you are ready and then pick you up from whenever you are done (no need to deal with an annoying shuttle schedule). They also have an amazing Alm (mountain Hut) which you can hike up to and have a nice BBQ in during summer which (like the rest of the amazing activities) is just another detail (like the sleigh rides, pony beauty, tractor rides, swimming lessons, water slide) which puts Moargut on a level above and beyond any other hotel (family or otherwise) we have stayed in. Truly a dream family vacation in summer or winter. We have been lucky enough to visit on seven occasions now and we will keep going back as I don't think it's possivle to find a better, more relaxing, luxurious, easygoing yet white glove, experience.

We couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We visited before Christmas as a group of 2 families (children were 6 months, 3, 4 and 5) and it was an incredible week. It’s difficult to know where to start; the service and hospitality is first class, the facilities and entertainment for children are exceptional, the food is amazing, the spa is great and the convenience of everything makes it such a great choice for young families.||A special mention to Susannah who looked after our party at Dinner each evening. She is great fun, charming and was very helpful in choosing great wine each night.||We will be returning next year!

Moar Gut was simply amazing in every single aspect. I have two small kids, age 3 and 6. It was their first time experiencing snow in their life, and I must say that Moar Gut helped make everything magical. It is a place where you will have no desire of leaving the hotel. The programs and the infrastructure they offer the kids left us with a busy schedule everyday. The skiing school being within the hotel was a huge plus, being able to sit in the hotel balcony and watching your kids learning to ski with a coffee in hands was priceless. The pool area was something my kids looked forward to every afternoon, the variety of pools and slides was amazing. |The only thing that I think could improve a little bit was the childrens buffet. I felt that there weren't enough protein options, I felt that my kids ate pasta pomodoro for 5 days. There could have been more chicken and fish options. |Other than that, MOAR GUT is perfection!

We had the most wonderful four-day stay at Moar Gut during the February half-term with our 6- and 5-year-old boys. This resort truly delivers a luxurious yet family-friendly experience, where both parents and children are equally considered in the design of the holiday.||We stayed in Malve, a two-bedroom suite in Blumengartl, which was renovated in June last year. It was cosy, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed. Our boys adored their bunk beds, and the additional bed frame on the bottom bunk was a thoughtful touch, ensuring our youngest didn’t roll out in the night.||The mix of à la carte and buffet dining was fantastic. We loved the flexibility of being able to pick and mix across courses, which meant we were never stuck with something we didn’t fancy. The children’s menu was a little more limited but featured popular, kid-friendly dishes. However, you could always opt for something from the main menu for little ones if the children’s options didn’t suit them. No one goes hungry here! The full-board package was a game-changer, allowing us to fully relax without worrying about meals. The kids’ drink fountains were a hit, ensuring they stayed well-hydrated throughout the day.||The Natur-Kinderhof was an absolute highlight for our boys. Running for 12 hours a day, they never wanted to leave and were always eager to return after skiing. The well-thought-out children’s programme kept them engaged with creative and active activities, and the staff were simply amazing—warm, professional, and reassuring, making us feel completely at ease leaving the boys in their care.||Even if you don’t plan to ski, there is so much to do onsite that you’d easily need a full week to experience it all. From indoor play areas to animal encounters, Moar Gut ensures families are entertained at every turn.||The pools and spa were a major highlight for us. My husband and I took full advantage of the adults-only spa areas, which offered a variety of spaces to relax and unwind. The selection of wellness facilities is impressive, making it a true retreat for parents as well.||One of the most surprising aspects was the lack of crowds despite it being half-term. While meal times made it clear there were plenty of families around, the resort is so well-designed that it never felt busy. Another brilliant feature is the underground walkways, which allow you to move between different buildings without stepping outside—a huge bonus in colder months!||Although German is the default language, given that Austria is a German-speaking country, every member of staff was fantastic at accommodating our English, and we never experienced any language barriers. The children’s movies and songs were in German, which our boys absolutely loved—after all, visiting other countries is about embracing different cultures.||Honestly, we have nothing negative to say about Moar Gut. It’s rare to find a place that balances luxury for adults with an abundance of thoughtful amenities for children. It’s a place where parents can truly relax, knowing their children are just as well catered for.||We highly recommend Moar Gut to any family looking for a high-end yet relaxed and fun-filled ski (or non-ski) holiday. We will definitely be back!

This is our 6th visit to Moar Gut, enjoying a week every year during the Ski Season. Each time we visit we fall in love once again and ask ourselves if it can possibly get any better….. Well the answer is yes! ||Last year we saw their new Guest accommodation building which was wonderful in addition to the new spa! This year all of the remaining guest rooms were completely remodeled plus the addition of a Trampoline Park, Games Arcade, improvements to the Kids club, another extension to the Spa, a remodel of the Bar and so so much more!||The quality of the refurbishment, the materials used and the fixtures and fittings are of the absolute highest quality. The Kendlbacher family have not spared a Euro to deliver their vision of perfection which we have had the pleasure of watching grow over the last 7 years! They live and breathe this Hotel and are always on hand for their guests, you cannot say they haven’t worked incredibly hard for what they have developed. ||Is it expensive, yes absolutely! But you make a choice when traveling and there are many many cheaper options around Europe BUT there is a reason this Hotel despite the higher prices runs virtually full all of the time, it is simply AMAZING and worth every cent.||Elisabeth & Josef from my Family to yours, thank you!||Family Hollett
