We had the most wonderful four-day stay at Moar Gut during the February half-term with our 6- and 5-year-old boys. This resort truly delivers a luxurious yet family-friendly experience, where both parents and children are equally considered in the design of the holiday. We stayed in Malve, a two-bedroom suite in Blumengartl, which was renovated in June last year. It was cosy, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed. Our boys adored their bunk beds, and the additional bed frame on the bottom bunk was a thoughtful touch, ensuring our youngest didn’t roll out in the night. The mix of à la carte and buffet dining was fantastic. We loved the flexibility of being able to pick and mix across courses, which meant we were never stuck with something we didn’t fancy. The children’s menu was a little more limited but featured popular, kid-friendly dishes. However, you could always opt for something from the main menu for little ones if the children’s options didn’t suit them. No one goes hungry here! The full-board package was a game-changer, allowing us to fully relax without worrying about meals. The kids’ drink fountains were a hit, ensuring they stayed well-hydrated throughout the day. The Natur-Kinderhof was an absolute highlight for our boys. Running for 12 hours a day, they never wanted to leave and were always eager to return after skiing. The well-thought-out children’s programme kept them engaged with creative and active activities, and the staff were simply amazing—warm, professional, and reassuring, making us feel completely at ease leaving the boys in their care. Even if you don’t plan to ski, there is so much to do onsite that you’d easily need a full week to experience it all. From indoor play areas to animal encounters, Moar Gut ensures families are entertained at every turn. The pools and spa were a major highlight for us. My husband and I took full advantage of the adults-only spa areas, which offered a variety of spaces to relax and unwind. The selection of wellness facilities is impressive, making it a true retreat for parents as well. One of the most surprising aspects was the lack of crowds despite it being half-term. While meal times made it clear there were plenty of families around, the resort is so well-designed that it never felt busy. Another brilliant feature is the underground walkways, which allow you to move between different buildings without stepping outside—a huge bonus in colder months! Although German is the default language, given that Austria is a German-speaking country, every member of staff was fantastic at accommodating our English, and we never experienced any language barriers. The children’s movies and songs were in German, which our boys absolutely loved—after all, visiting other countries is about embracing different cultures. Honestly, we have nothing negative to say about Moar Gut. It’s rare to find a place that balances luxury for adults with an abundance of thoughtful amenities for children. It’s a place where parents can truly relax, knowing their children are just as well catered for. We highly recommend Moar Gut to any family looking for a high-end yet relaxed and fun-filled ski (or non-ski) holiday. We will definitely be back!

By far the most luxurious family hotel I have ever stayed at or seen. If the Ritz Carlton, St. Regis, and Four Seasons decided to combine the best elements each offers (service, cuisine, location, spa) and then you added five star childcare in a kids club this is what you would get. The horseback riding facilities are top notch for winter (giant ampatheater with floating roof so you see the alps while you train) and summer, the fact they have a stable full of Icelandic horses (who have a gait easier for children to ride) us just icing on the cake. The new trampoline park (opened in summer 2024) is super fun for both older toddlers and teens (as well as parents.. My daughter loved watching me fall into the giant airbag). Climbing wall and gym are supplemented by new AR gaming (2 I-Wall plus another facility) facilities which provide fun activities during the rainy days. The petting zoo and farm are, on brand, beautifully maintained and full of friendly animals who your child can adopt for the week getting the chance to feed them and then get a certificate at the end which my daughter proudly displays on our wall. The staff in the kids club are extremely professional, kind, calm, and friendly providing plenty of cool crafting and fun activities (including feeding the animals) all day. Gusti, the mascot, comes to dance each evening providing a fun end to the day and a great point to set bedtime. The newly renovated spa facilities are world class, think orlan or red door level service with a huge menu of treatments and massages. Located five minutes from the Grossarl ski lifts, which they bring you to whenever you are ready and then pick you up from whenever you are done (no need to deal with an annoying shuttle schedule). They also have an amazing Alm (mountain Hut) which you can hike up to and have a nice BBQ in during summer which (like the rest of the amazing activities) is just another detail (like the sleigh rides, pony beauty, tractor rides, swimming lessons, water slide) which puts Moargut on a level above and beyond any other hotel (family or otherwise) we have stayed in. Truly a dream family vacation in summer or winter. We have been lucky enough to visit on seven occasions now and we will keep going back as I don't think it's possivle to find a better, more relaxing, luxurious, easygoing yet white glove, experience.

Moargut is unlike any hotel other I’ve experienced. One of the most striking things about it is how present and involved the your family is in every aspect of the hotel. The father’s daily presence, taking the time to connect with guests and ensure everything runs smoothly, is a testament to the genuine care and passion behind this place. Every family member plays a role, and that’s what makes it so special. What’s also very visible, is that your staff really care about each guest’s wellbeing and that they are really aligned on what matters to you and what your brand stands for. Moargut represents a new way of luxury—humble luxury, where the focus is on creating meaningful experiences rather than excess. It takes away the usual tasks that often keep parents busy, allowing families to really connect, make memories, and truly enjoy their time together. This hotel also stays true to its roots, honoring traditions and celebrating local produce, something I deeply appreciate. You and therefore your hotel embody values that are important to me and ones I want to pass down to my children. It’s a place where you can experience warmth, authenticity, and care in every detail. I am very honored that you chose to work with me and I promise to spread the good word that Moargut deserves. Marta

We absolutely loved our stay in many ways. But ultimately we will never come back because of hygiene issues. Like many other reviews have mentioned, our family caught Norovirus (stomach viurs) during our stay, which seems to be a frequent problem at this hotel, outbreaks of gastrointestinal illnesses, likely due to allowing families with so many young kids and babies help themselves to the buffets throughout breakfast, lunch and dinner with no handwashing stations in the dining area.

We spend a week (skiing) at Moar Gut and having travelled a lot over the years never seen anything like it. ||The children can enjoy an underground play area that surpasses any kids club with a variety of activities. The little farm is beautifully set and animals well kept. The pool has sufficient space and a surprisingly big slide for the size of the hotel. Our 3 year old joined the 2 hour morning ski school for 4 sessions and that’s been absolutely fantastic (slope is right next to the terrace of the restaurant).||Adults can indulge in the incredible food, but the spa is an absolute highlight. Gorgeous setting, very tranquil and good selection of well priced treatments.||Rooms are good. We’ve opted for a family suite (Salbei) to have the bunk bed in the main bedroom (our toddler doesn’t sleep reliably in a separate room). There is definitely a set-up for any requirement if you have a different preference and the option to upgrade to the new suits that are beautiful, but come with the matching price tag (the grandparents stayed in one of the smaller ones and highly recommend it).||For a family hotel in particular it’s amazing how spotless clean it is. Service is incredible - the reception staff and our waitress Elisabeth have been some of the best hotel staff we’ve come across globally.||If you have kids that are 2-7 years just book! Even outside this range there is plenty to do and good reasons to go.

There are no words to explain how wonderful Moar Gut is. It really is such a special place. The food is exceptional. The kids club is amazing and our kids adored it (the language barrier really didn’t matter). Our waiter Damien was fantastic - he went above and beyond particularly when it came to food allergies as did the amazing chefs. Kevin also stands out as extremely competent and friendly. Both waiters really helped in making our holiday. Our only concerns were 1) we are not sure it would suit everyone that groups of staff are allowed to sit by the pool/use the pool on their breaks etc… On occasion they could be quite loud 2) Unfortunately there was a gastro bug going round and we felt the hotel management could have done more to raise awareness and aid prevention. The kids club said children could Re-enter after symptoms had stopped for 24 hours. However with gastro bugs it is usually a minimum 48 hours. We would really like to see updated protocols with regards to kids club/sanitation etc.. to avoid this ever happening again. On picking up our baby from the infant room, we got given the wrong dummy/water beaker a few times which was a little concerning. However these are two very minor criticisms in what was an exceptional holiday in the most glorious setting.

There is no reason for it to be so expensive. I will stay for one night and pay that much money (a day takes 24 hours,12 hours of sleep and preparation) Then how to enjoy this time? I have to pay a lot for 7 nights (equivalent to the price of a luxury car) I am sorry but the service is not worth it. Es gibt immer bessere Möglichkeiten. Aber trotzdem Dankeschön.

Moar Gut is my happy place!!! Do not hesitate to book a stay at this exquisite property! You will not be disappointed. Every detail is thought out-- the service is phenomenal, the food is gourmet, the rooms are superb, and the new Spa facilities are AMAZING. We have stayed at many luxurious resorts throughout the world and Moar Gut is definitely our favorite when traveling with our children (ages 8, 5, and 2). ||The staff is incredibly friendly and truly goes above and beyond. We had challenges during travel-- canceled flights and lost luggage. This led to a delayed arrival. Not only was Moar Gut gracious in their flexibility, but they also upgraded our room. ||This was our second visit and are already planning a return! We spent a few weeks traveling around Europe and staying here was the highlight of our children's vacation (for me too).
