Their beef pates, however, are the best things here. Food Rundown Beef Patties After inhaling many beef patties across Miami, we’ve found our favorite. Not only do the patties’ irregular shapes show that they were made by hand, but the puff pastry is super flakey and crispy on the outside while the inner layers are chewy and buttery. The beef filling is moist and tender—almost bordering on a pâté-like consistency. And it has just the right amount of heat from the scotch bonnet chiles. Haitian Bread These baguette-shaped loaves are dense,fluffy, and have a rich flavor that reminds us of brown butter and caramelized milk. It’s even more amazing smeared with the Haitian spicy peanut butter available for purchase in store, dunked into a cafe con leche, or made into the most delicious French toast.
