Brewery with live music, games, kid-friendly area & food trucks.
"This Texas brewery, co-owned by Jensen Ackles and Dannel Ackles with general manager Gino Graul, closed its Dripping Springs taproom in May and plans to temporarily reopen a pop-up taproom in Austin proper this summer, sharing space with a South Austin beer garden for events including a pint night on July 31 and meet-and-greets with merchandise on August 15–16; the brewery continues to produce beer while searching for a permanent Austin taproom location." - Nadia Chaudhury
"I noted that Hill Country brewery Family Business Beer Co. — co-owned by Jensen and Dannel Ackles and general manager Gino Graul — temporarily closed its Dripping Springs taproom while it looks for a new location in Austin proper; its last day of public service at 19510 Hamilton Pool Road was May 8. The brewery, which opened in 2018, will continue producing beer (already available in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston) and plans to expand its Texas distribution through 2025; an Austin taproom had been planned for the St. Elmo Public Market before the pandemic collapsed that project, and the brewery still hopes to open a second location." - Nadia Chaudhury
"Let’s get it out of the way: yes, it’s a drive to get to the Dripping Springs brewery from Austin proper. But once there, you’ll find a jovial taproom with indoor and outdoor seating, a large lawn for kids to roam on, and occasional live music. The core lineup of tap and canned beers are attuned to Hill Country porch drinking: there’s a Great American Beer Festival-approved German pils (Golden Age), and a very nice American pale ale (Hamilton pale.) And yes, there’s a tasty, citrus-forward IPA. This brewery is also pet-friendly and has a playground. Fun fact: Family Business is co-founded by veteran television actor Jensen Ackles (Supernatural, Days of Our Lives, The Boys). There are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Tom Thornton
"A Dripping Springs brewery that took home a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival for Chilis from the Grave in the chile beer category." - Nadia Chaudhury
"Dripping Springs brewery Family Business Beer Company (co-owned by Supernatural actors Jensen and Danneel Ackles and Gino Graul with head brewer Nate Seatle) and what was going to be a brand new concept from Austin-born shop Lick Honest Ice Creams co-owners Anthony Sobotik and Chad Palmatier." - Nadia Chaudhury
