Really tasty, will return. Momo chilly was tangy and the veg it came with was perfect texture. Aalu Tikka came out at a great temp and the spicy did (that I couldn't name) had my nose running - which is a good thing. The Thali was a good portion and I felt the saag & pickle stood out as flavor accents.

Unforgettable and authentic! The warm hospitality and beautiful scenery on the walls made us feel at home from the moment we entered. The service provided was attentive and friendly, with the staff eager to explain the menu and provide suggestions for dishes. The Dal Bhat was an authentic and soothing dish, with scented rice, hearty lentils, and seasonal vegetables that reminded me of a meal made at home. 🏡 The momos were incredibly delicious - juicy, perfectly spiced, and served with a delicious dipping sauce. 🥫 The size of one double black shot in a black-label drink surprised me compared to other Nepali restaurants in this area. ❤️👍 If you're looking for authentic Nepali cuisine, this place is highly recommended - you'll want to come back every time!

After exploring Cuyahoga Valley National Park, my friend and I were craving some authentic Nepalese food and this place did not disappoint! We ordered two Veg Thalis, opting for the spiciest level available. Every bite was bursting with flavor — from the rich, comforting Daal to the perfectly seasoned Tarkari and fresh Saag. We also tried the Onion Pakodas, which added an extra layer of crunch and taste (though they did use a bit too much food coloring). The Veg Thali, on the other hand, looked and tasted completely natural, full of earthy, home-style goodness. To finish off, the rice kheer was aromatic and absolutely satisfying, the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. I’d definitely come back here the next time I’m in Akron. Highly recommended for anyone looking for genuine Nepalese flavors!

I live in north hill, about 2 min from this place and never tried it until today. My son was visiting from Washington state and I mentioned that there was a high population of Nepali in north hill. He suggested that we go to have some Nepali food and we picked this place. So glad we did! The chicken biriyani was the best I've had in the area! Also got chicken momo which was just as good. We were the only ones in the place since we went at a weird time on a Sunday. The waitress was so sweet and helpful, even showing us the brand new carrom board they just got. Had never heard of it but it looked a little like a cross between air hockey and pool. Will definitely return here soon!

The food was amazing! Everything came out hot and tasted fresh. The wait staff was very friendly and the restaurant is so organized and clean. I highly recommend not only the food but dining in also!

The best Indian food in Akron and surrounding area thus far!! I’m spoiled coming from the west coast where we have plenty of amazing Indian restaurants and after trying about 5 here locally I was super disappointed and almost gave up until today, when I placed a to-go order from Family Vansa Ghar. Everything we ordered (which was a lot) was great! Their butter chicken was tender in the sauce which is hard to achieve. Gobi Manchurian had the perfect amount of spice, and flavor. Mango Lassi and Masala Chai were sweet but delicious. Other dishes we tried Chicken Tandori, Paneer Sag, Chicken Vindaloo, Vegetable Samosa, etc. were all freshly cooked and wonderful tasting. The only drawback I have is the location is a bit dicey but you can get your food delivered if this bothers you.

The food is fresh and bursting with flavor, the Samosas are huge and the Naan 🫓 is excellent. Very generous servings! A hidden bar inside as well..

This was the worst food I have ever received and it was a waste of money. Please don’t order take out from there. I ordered a mango lasso and it was tomato juice. The naan wasn’t even cooked, so much food coloring that makes it inedible. They sent something that resembles bath water and it was the only decent thing. I basically threw it all away and I have read similar reviews about their take out. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!

A charming little spot with delicious food. The Goat Biryani and Boti Kabab (both pictured) were rich in flavor and came in nice sized portions. Once you walk in the door, you'll find the interior is classy and the music/ pictures fit the theme. The hostess/waitress was friendly and prompt.

Stopped in tonight with my family! Great little unassuming spot for authentic Indian/Nepali food. I think it used to be a bar which they converted. We ordered the lamb korma, goat curry, sag paneer, and chicken tikka masala (I know I know...I'm basic, but it was good!) The service was friendly and accommodating. I believe they will start offering buffet on the weekends. My only critique is that there isn't much seating for groups over 4 so they had to do some seat arranging to fit our group of 5. I definitely recommend a visit if you want some authentic cuisine!

Everything we have gotten here (momos, curry, chicken tikki masala, naan) is off the charts excellent. Perfect spice level at medium. Service is very good. Spotlessly clean. Highly recommend.

I have ordered from Family Vansa Ghar twice when I've come to town and the food is always excellent. This is a gem of a restaurant on North Hill. The Chicken Korma is excellent.

I just happened to come across this Himalayan restaurant. I choose this dish to sample several items.Everything was absolutely delicious! Fresh, hot great flavor and nice presentation. You could tell the chef was proud of the food. The service was fast and correct with the order. The owner informed me they will bee having a buffet next week. I will definitely be back for that. They have only been open for about a week so I expect it to be very busy when word gets out about the food and the buffet. I think they are working on finding a bartender and more work on appearances. It was very clean but a little empty feeling inside.

Food was great and service too. The portions were quite big for the price. Small parking lot on the side. Will go back when in Akron.
