As someone with celiac disease, I almost never eat out because it’s so hard to find a restaurant that truly understands what “safe” means. Famous Dave’s has completely changed that experience for me. They offer a full gluten-free menu including gluten-free rolls—which feels like an absolute luxury when you’ve spent years having to go without. What truly blew me away, though, was the level of care. The owner personally delivered my plate and assured me that every precaution had been taken to avoid cross-contamination. He explained that his wife and daughter also have celiac disease, so he deeply understands how serious it is. He has spent months training his kitchen staff on proper protocols and is fully committed to making this a safe, welcoming place for those of us who usually have to eat with hesitation or fear. And it doesn’t stop there—they’re even introducing gluten-free brownies soon, giving us a dessert option we never get to enjoy when dining out. It’s incredible to feel this seen, supported, and genuinely cared for. This is an uncommon, beautifully thoughtful dining experience for anyone with celiac disease, and I cannot express how grateful I am. The food is delicious, the staff is amazing, and the dedication to safety is unmatched. I could shout from the rooftops about this place—please give them some love because they absolutely deserve it!

Picked up a salad and feast for 2 to-go. No one helped us when we got there, even though we made eye contact with 3 employees, including a manager. Get home and the salad is INEDIBLE! Pretty sure they did it on purpose with a to-go order so that the complaint wouldn’t come in until we were home. I removed the toppings to see what kitchen staff saw before they covered it with toppings to hide the rotten salad.

I was chuckling to myself reading these bad reviews of famous Dave’s. I have had nothing but good experiences here. Even this trip being back in the springs the manager Mark made a point to come welcome us personally. Also have had the owners themselves welcome us on other visits. They also offer a great first responders discount on Monday. Food is always fantastic and well put together. Can not recommend this place enough. Don’t let the whiners steer you away. This place rocks.

My dad and I went to Texas T-bone/Famous Dave's to celebrate my birthday. It turned out that my daughter and her family drove from Chicago to surprise me for my birthday! The owners and the staff were in on the big surprise, and it was a huge, very happy shock to see them at the restaurant with balloons and flowers! The adults got excellent steaks and ribs, and the kids got delicious looking hamburgers. With the big surprise, I didn't think to take pictures of the food like I usually do at a restaurant. I'd highly recommend Texas T-bone and Famous Dave's BBQ... Especially for a birthday!

The food was amazing specially the buns oh my goodness 😍 it was so soft and the butter was amazing. Everything i got was delicious. Corn muffin is out of this world. Definitely we will come back to try their pies.

Good food and portions. Although today my steak was totally overcooked from what I asked for. N then no one came by in so long to check. That my companion would of finished his meal before we'd been asked if it was OK. Even still. Its good food. Love the salads n the bread. Just great compared to Texas roadhouse

This place is a little unique since it has merged with Texas T-bone. Options are many! Hannah, our waitress was delightful, attentive, and efficient. Mark, the manager made sure to stop by and welcome us as first time visitors. Atmosphere is cozy and warm, definitely country. The food was generously portioned. The brisket was moist and tender, and the green beans were not too spicy– just a hint. We are local so we are sure to return!

We had a medium sized party today for a chemo-finale celebration, and I have to say the service was excellent. There were 13 of us and we knew this place would have the variety to suite everyone's tastes. Jeff did such a fantastic job keeping up on our refills, with us asking for extras, and managing our orders! Food was great!

I visited Famous Dave's in Colorado Springs and had a wonderful experience. Our waitress was very attentive, and the general manager, came over and spoke with us twice, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, it felt like a family-run business, even though it's a chain. The food was good--I had the burnt ends and brisket, and they were both good. Great combinations and excellent warm service.

We were at Famous Dave's again for my wife's 78th birthday dinner. We could have gone anywhere but she wanted Dave's. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. Jen was our server and you could not have asked for a more attentive and all around person to wait on our party of six. The manager Mark was always around talking to our table and checking if anything was needed. Everyone was very happy with their dinner and one of our party, this was the first time she had been to Famous Dave's and stated she would be back, and soon. At the end of the meal, Mark came back with a banana pudding dessert for my wife and sang her happy birthday. The service was outstanding as usual and well will be back again, very soon. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu and I would highly recommend some of the big platters and share.

Have not been here in two years after a bad experience and thought we would give it a try again. Dinner was great. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered off of the Famous Dave's menu. Some of the best rib tips we've ever had. The portions were much larger than before as well. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Our server, Cameron, was fantastic! He was friendly, polite and made our experience perfect. An asset to your team! Well done! We will return again.

AMAZING hospitality for everyone, especially first timers. Rolls were good, atmosphere was super warm and cozy. Food was amazing and great managerial staff. Will definitely be coming back.

Waitress was excellent. Prices were pretty high for the quality of the food. Rib tips were dry and jerky like, cold gummy hot wings, the slaw tasted several days old, cold green beans and fries. I ate at Famous Dave's several years ago and it was great. This time was honestly just awful, didn't even finish my meal. Would not recommend at all. Maybe that's why the place was dead at dinner on a Friday night.

Many issues.......very disappointed with the food, the ribs looked great on glance, but weren't tender at all. Pork was okay, but dry. Had issues with ordering. Overall a very disappointing experience for the price paid.

Cast of their beef and other items just way too high compared to other restaurants. The service was good and the waitress was fantastic.

Our server, Cameron, was AMAZING!! Food was hot, tasty and filling. Don't overlook going to this place--outstanding service and outstanding food! Give Cameron a raise!

We had a 70th birthday celebration here. The food was great, service was outstanding and we were offered a separate room for the party! We stopped coming here to eat a couple years ago but recently gave it another chance and the new owners have done great things with the menu and food quality! We will definitely be back soon!

Famous Dave's did not disappoint. I am a big fan of Famous Dave's and I try to visit a location whenever I am in town. Only one location has ever been disappointing. The food was great and the server (Lolita) was great as well. My heart and stomach are full. Until next time, Colorado Springs.

I don't think it's as good as it used to be. I had dinner there recently and the ribs were not as good as usual. My first thought was, did they heat these in the microwave? Maybe not, but the fact that the thought even crossed my mind is not a good sign. The fries and beans were good. My husband had a brisket sandwich which wasn't very good, and his mashed potatoes were so bad he didn't even eat them. I recommend going to Front Range instead.

We went in for the broncos game, we waited for 20 minutes and no one even came to ask us for our drinks and appetizers. After last time of getting served burnt ends and the chef using the flat & not the top of the brisket we didn't want to spend big money, tip and then be let down again so we unfortunately left to somewhere else.

We have been to Famous Dave's before in NY and enjoyed it but were surprised when we arrived at this location and it was combined with a steak restaurant. A restaurant trying to do/be this many things is usually a recipe for disaster but they absolutely are getting it done. I had the 15oz ribeye which was cooked to a perfect medium rare temperature. The make your own salad was fun and quite large. My daughter and wife loved their food too. I had a Long Island iced tea that was prepared table side and the bartender had a fairly heavy pour. It tasted great. Our server was fantastic. One of the owners visited the table and she was very outgoing and personable. I liked the outdoor seating, although we did sit inside. This place should have been much more packed on a Saturday night.

Today was our first visit to Famous Dave's and Texas T-bone. We each got a steak and the 6 ounce lobster tail. Both were done to perfection. The sides were very large. Our server, Cherylann B was the best!! The manager, Mark paid a visit to our table. Customer service was great. We will be back!

Went in for lunch today, my green beans were cold and hard. My boyfriend had a refill on sprite and she never brought one back; turns out it went to the wrong table. she grabbed it off the table with a USED straw in it and gave it to my boyfriend. his straw was sitting on our table because she asked me to keep it. we also didn't get enough silverware and she never brought us one so we also had to share a fork.

We had a really nice experience. The food was wonderful and the service was great! We will definitely be back soon.

Ribs are some of the best in town. I always order takeout. Comes quickly. You get a lot of food for the price, staff is always friendly.

Where to start!!! Well, my husband and I live in Las Vegas and visit the Famous Dave's BBQ regularly, and their service and food is always very good. Recently we went to the Famous Dave's BBQ in Colorado Springs and were amazed at how exceptional their BBQ was. We ordered the complete meal for 2-3 people. Everything was prepared excellently. The ribs were juicy and fall off the bone perfect. The brisket was amazing and hardly any fat on it. We additionally had the baked beans, coleslaw and fries which were all really tasty. As much as we love the food prepared in Vegas we have to honestly say - these cooks took the food to the next level!!! Excellently prepared!!! I have to give a shout out to our very hard working waitress Victoria who made sure we had everything we needed and gave us exceptional service! The Manager, James stopped by to see if we had everything we needed and to see how we enjoyed our meal. We told him how everything was excellent and complimented his cooks and servers. He brought us as $15.00 gift card for our next visit and gave us a bottle of our favorite bbq sauce - the sweet and zesty to take home for our left overs. How nice is that!!!! We liked the food and service so well that I called my daughter and her family to tell them. They immediately placed a to-go order for us to bring home to them. They agreed that their food was amazing!!! We will be back soon and often!!! Thank you James for going that extra mile to make our visit so pleasant. The food was amazing. Everything was spot on, and very tender and delicious. The service was extraordinary, because we had Lucia (sp?) as our waitress, and she was absolutely the best waitress we've had in a while. She was very attentive and suggested what was good since this was our first time there. The ambience of the restaurant was really very nice. It was nice and warm and comforting to come into. It was very refreshing to have the manager come by and ask us how our food was and even staying around to make sure my steak was cooked to perfection. This is very unusual these days. We will definitely be coming back in for sure requesting Lucia as our waitress.

I would rate this place a zero, but it's not an option. My family ordered food and we're waiting for it to come. When the manager came to our table and told us that he wanted us to stop our 2-year-old; who has sensory issues, to stop screaming. I told him I can't. Then he told us we weren't welcome, since there were other guest. I'm a Purple Heart Retired Marine with PTSD; he tried to scuffle, when I told him he was wrong. Then it triggered me having to deal with current life situations with a family member who has cancer. It almost set me off. I don't know if there food is good, but I would boycott this place as long as that manager is still there. Older guy, brown hair, kinda of chubby!

The food here was really good. We had a big problem with the service. Our waiter came brought our drinks took our order and then we never saw him again until it was time to pay. He walked by our table several times helping other tables around us but didn't bother to come by to check if our orders were right or fill our drinks. My husband got fries but they didn't offer ketchup. It was really awful service espy when you pay over 25.00 for a plate! These kids need to be taught what multi-tasking and good service looks like.

Food was decent. The bread and butter they served was very good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The reason of only the one star: Upon walking and us greeting the host Conner, he looked at us and said just a minute I need to speak to our manager. He quickly returned and seated us in the left room. Not the main dining room though there were several tables open. We were the only one seated in the other dining room for one hour even though others who came in behind us got seated in main dining area. I asked our waitress if this was her only section. She said no, she has outside, main dining, and now this side room. After asking she did say she had tables available in her section of main dining area. Upon leaving Connor looked at us and I shared with him that I felt as if we were put in isolation or on time out. His only response was "have a great night". Not sure if it was just a coincidence that we were put there with nobody else or had something to do with that fact that we were the only Asian. Never felt segregated in my life until coming here. Shame on Connor and Famous Dave's for allowing this to happen. I'm an American and our money is just good as everybody else's. I was warned the area is not use to a wide diverse nationality. Management: I suggested JEDI training.

Had an early dinner. Portions were larger than we expected and prepared well, service was excellent (attentive, but not overbearing). Atmosphere is western (as you would expect) and chill. Mark, one of the managers, checked on us and was genuinely interested in our experience. We eat at this location several times per year, usually for a family birthday or some other gathering, and we are always pleased with the food and service.

Toilet seat pinched my ask haha Service was good but food was subpar. Brisket was extremely salty and burger was cooked nearly black. Got free roses though so that was cute

4 Apr 23 - had a late lunch there with three of my friends after my Tuesday meeting. I had not been to their restaurant since they moved to this new location. Kelly was the last one to arrive and she thought she was ordering pork chops which are not on the menu so she sent it back and only had the macaroni and cheese. Rebecca ordered a chicken sandwich which came with different shaped french fries and corn bread. Liz ordered the catfish appetizer and got mashed potatoes and corn bread. I ordered the one meat plate which consisted of brisket, coleslaw and corn bread. Everyone enjoyed their meal but I thought my portion of the brisket was very small but the coleslaw however was the right amount. If I ever visit this restaurant in the future, I will never get their plates because I found their portion of meat was too small compared to other barbecue places I have eaten at.

Meh. What else can I say??? Let's be real. My family loves Rudy's much more.... but we were closer to here so we went. It was very odd and empty in there. So strange it felt like a ghost town. The food? Meh. I got a pulled chicken sandwich and there was a lot of gristle in it. Potato salad? Meh. Wilber bean? Meh. Husband's food came out very late. We wanted a steak with mac and cheese. Sealed was cooked to the temperature he liked. He didn't like the mac and cheese though. He said it seemed like fake cheese and canned hpt pepper.. Mother in law seemed to like her brisket baked potato. Server was fantastic thought!! Super nice and polite. Got everything as fast as he could! My favorite food there is there biscuits and apple butter!! Don't knock it before you try it!

I would give 0 stars if I could. First issue was the drinks. My $10 cocktail tasted like it had no alcohol in it, and my boyfriends beer bubbled over as soon as he put an orange in it, as he has done multiple times before on the same beer at home and at other restaurants.. The server did replace the beer, but there was the same issue with the second one. He explained that the beer didn't taste right and was over carbonated, and the server's only response was that she "can't control the beer". Next, the food was not good. My brisket was rubbery, my broccoli was dumped out of a plastic bag onto my plate, and my boyfriends ribs were dry and tough. Nothing was taken off our tab, even with our bad experience and instead we were charged $6 on a $70 tab for "food and alcohol tax", which I have never seen before. I will never be going back and I hope those who read this know to stay away.

Wow... Little did I know how close I was to such a great restaurant. I have a new place to have my lunch. I have been visiting them every other day for about a month now,and have enjoyed it every time. Thank you so much Rodrigo for some real good food at fast food prices. I will be back again and again.

I was disappointed with Famous Dave's on Nov 16. I went to their website to let them know. Sadly, I never heard back from them. Had they gotten back to me this would have been at least 3 stars because they showed they care. But no response so 1 Star. So my story goes like this. I arrived during happy hour. I asked what that means. The gal behind the bar said $1 off draft beers and there was some food on happy hour. She pointed out what appetizers "small bites" were on happy hour. I need to mention the items were part of the regular menu. They are not listed as specific hh items or on a separate menu. I ordered onion strings at $3.99 in the menu. I finished a couple beers and the strings, asked for the check. The check did not look right to me. It had my two beers and the cost showed no indication of the happy hour discount. Maybe it was right, maybe not, I really don't know. The onion strings showed on the check at $3.99 as shown on the menu. But again it was the regular menu, not a happy hour menu. I asked the bar gal and was told that that was the happy hour price. Huh? So how much would they be outside of happy hour? I guess if the small bites are on happy hour all the time she could be right. But that kills the point of happy hour, doesn't it? I expected to see some hh discount shown. Honestly I don't believe what she said. If I ordered them when it was not happy hour would they just add a few bucks and when asked say "oh, well, that's our happy hour price. The non happy hour price is $2 more" or something like that? Either she told me wrong at the start or she was not interested in the effort of giving me happy hour pricing. That further makes me wonder if I really got the beers on happy hour. I left the place feeling like I was taken. And even worse since I submitted my concerns 10 days ago with my email and cell and have not heard back. So I give the lowest score I can give But again if you got this far you get 5 stars for review reading

Started off great. The food was tasty. The server David was good, too. As soon as it got busy he forgot about us. But that's not the worst of it. The dang salt had some sort of bug or maybe food partial cold chilling in it. It grossed me all the way out. To make matters worse it's already been 15 minutes and we are just sitting here invisibly waiting for our check. Disclosure: I'm updating the review as I sit here hoping, wishing, and praying for better service.

Party of 14 and hostess immediately greeted us and professionally advised us that our table would take a few minutes. Less than 5 minutes, she sited us. Our server, Marco, asked us if we had ever eaten there. Being ut was our first time, he explained the menu to the T!!! Food: Amazing and delicious, especially that chicken. Service: incredible!!!! Marco made our dinner enjoyable with the interaction and constant check up. Kudos to him for making our dinner away from home enjoyable.

New to the area. Went on a Friday night. They were not busy but service was lacking. After ordering we learned multiple items were not available. Food and appetizer came out at the same time. Food seemed fine but not feeling well today.

I wanted to like Famous Dave's - I really did. Dining options in COS are iffy at best, and as someone who has lived in the south for more than a decade, I feel a certain kind of way about barbecue. The restaurant itself and the decor isn't bad, but the barbeque itself is the very definition of average. It isn't bad per se, but it's by no means good, either. My order of brisket was dry and flavorless, and I was forced to slather it in sauce to add some life to the dish. When I asked my wife if she enjoyed her meal after we left, all she could do was shrug. I share that sentiment, and if someone asked me if I'd recommend Famous Dave's for barbecue, I don't know if I could.

Meh. Not super impressed. It's a chain so...that. They do have a nice selection of mixed drinks though...so that was nice for a BBQ place...as far as the BBQ I, myself, prefer Rudy's. But to each their own.

The food and service at Famous Dave's was exceptional. I ordered the Feast for Two, which contained enough food for 3 - 4 people. The server was busy but extremely attentive and courteous. The ribs and hot links were excellent, as far as the side dishes I would highly recommend the mac-n-cheese and the brussel sprouts with bacon are worth the additional charge if you enjoy sprouts. Lastly, the corn bread was noteworthy.

We regularly eat here when we're in the mood for BBQ. It's close to where we live and their ribs are extremely good. (If you want the recipe, do a search online and you'll find an article published in GQ magazine several years ago.) Other things that are very good: - Corn muffins... can eat about 50 of these - Onion strings - Rib tips - Mac n cheese - Cole slaw Other things that are good: - Burnt ends (tend to be a little too fatty) - Brisket - Wilbur beans - Green beans - Chicken - Pulled pork The ribs really are very, very good. The amount of rub is just enough, and not too much. Ditto on the sauce. They are cooked perfectly - tender, but with some chew. Oh, yeah - the pickles and pickled onions are incredible. The reason why I give the place three stars is because the service is always hit or miss. Sometimes, you get really good service - but, most of the time, you don't. Generally speaking, you have to ask for refills. You may not have silverware. You may not be given appetizer plates. The servers seem to be either apathetic or distracted. This is regardless of whether or not they are busy. Like I said, though... we still come back. The ribs are that good.

We have visited Famous Dave's several times, but this was the first time to get delivery from Dave's. First, the delivery by Door Dash. Fantastic! Promised 35-55 minutes. Arrived in about 20. Good job! Everything on the platter feast was good. I would like to make a couple of suggestions. Too many potatoes. Not enough brisket. The serving for two was not enough for one. The ribs were spectacular! Not enough beans. The corn in the cob was great! This would be a great menu item with a few tweaks.

I have given this places several chances and food is just not good. Most of the time is bland. Today I ordered a Mule and it came in a glass. Not a big deal... but not necessarily what I ordered. Today's corn had no flavor. How can you mess up corn?! P.S. the moist toilettes smell really bad. Like dirty dish rags.

My wife and I visited this restaurant for supper this evening. The location is convenient, we were greeted upon entering the restaurant, we were seated at a nice, comfortable booth, our table looked old and didn't feel clean, the BBQ sauce bottles were all sticky, our server Jeff was great and friendly, the food tasted good but was not served hot and the bun of my BBQ sandwich was dry, there was no truly sweet BBQ sauce like I love, the prices were reasonable, the dining room was clean, and the men's restroom was clean.

Horrible experience - would give no stars but we want everyone to read this review. all three of us got sick - not sure what food they are feeding but beware - you will get food poisoning. called and the manager said it could not be their food. Seriously?? There were three of us - get it - 3 adults - we were all throwing up all night long. Sadly, our neighbor told us not to go to Famous Dave's bbq - we should have listened.

We've been curious about the combination of Famous Dave's & Texas T-Bone & went there today to check it out. Yes, the menu is a bit different but all our favorites from both places were there waiting for us! The food was delicious & our server was friendly & attentive. We had an awesome lunch & will be coming back soon.

I recently ordered burnt ends. They've always been great, but this time they were dry and tough. I'm pretty sure they were made from the flat, not the point, of the brisket. Very disappointed!

Not even going to sugar code it. The food was nasty. Like real nasty. No seasoning at all and it tasted like a cheap microwave dinner. The service was pretty good though!

In the past it's been so-so, but they really upped their game when we ordered for pickup for Memorial Day weekend. Fall off the bone ribs, tender and flavorful brisket. Give them a try and order by the 1/2 pound or full pound.

The food quality has gotten bad since they moved in with Texas Tbone. They have always been expensive but I expect the food to be fresh and be really good for that price. We figured maybe they were just having a bad night but after 2 bad experiences, we decided never again. Severs are normally fast and friendly.

I can't believe I got skimped out on banana pudding again. For nearly $8 with tax each, they are filling their to-go bowls with less than half of the bowl. Only thing keeping barely over 50% is the nilla wafer with scarce whipped scream skinning by. I also ordered their feast which was okay but need a little more brisket than a sandwich serving which is what they provided... for a total of $110. I'd say a hard pass. I gave this place another try and they failed to deliver yet again. Better to eat at Birddogs instead.

Been coming here for my birthday for years. This was the worst experience. Host was inconsiderate. Ribs were tough. Bread was very hard. Muffin was nasty. Could not finish because it was awful. Saw the server rarely. Going somewhere else next year. Very disappointed
