The drinks were amazing the food was even better The staff was very attentive on top of everything It wasn't a very busy night so we didn't have to wait very long for anything. I would highly suggest their BBQ items everybody was raving about them. The fried chicken was nice and crispy as well. And if you love cornbread biscuits by all means make sure you get one It was to die for.

This place is amazing. From the awesome decor on the walls to the unforgettable food! The menu is extraordinary! There is a lot to choose from and every bit of it is delicious. The drinks are amazing and so is the staff. Perfect place to have a large family gathering or a quick bite for lunch! A place that you have to go back to over & over!

I wish I could give more stars. The food is heavenly good!!! The service top notch. The staff is amazing from the waitress (kim) to the manager (Paul). They made the experience they best!!!

Ordered the 3 meat combo Ribs were dry and tough…most likely old or really overcooked.., pull pork was tough and probably old….wings were okay the corn muffins were great the Cajun fries were okay the broccoli and celery sticks was nice fresh…I was really hungry too😂 my expectations weren’t high so I’ll accept this loss

This was an OK place to eat, but service wasn’t more than ok. Food was ok as well, but nothing was great. I’d prefer Texas Roadhouse all day long.

Aiden was new to take out and did a WONDERFUL job making me feel welcomed over the phone which was a BIG deal!!! Excellent customer service! He’s a real asset to your team! His trainer the lady helping him was AMAZING and very knowledgeable as well! You keep putting out great people Famous Dave’s and I’ll keep coming back! And please as they say kiss the chef! THE BBQ here is better than TEXAS BBQ and that’s a high compliment! Thank you!!!

Much better than previous visits. Service was very helpful and attentive. The food was well flavored and cooked. The onion strings were liked by everyone at the table. Tge ribs were tender and not overdone. The facility is showing it's age and getting shabby. Not crowded, so we will try them again ts see how tgey do under stress.

My hubby and I had come here before but with a corporate meeting place in a back room reserved for the business. We enjoyed the food tastings that were provided. Today my hubby and I decided to go to the restaurant part. The menu is extensive and lunch time from 11am to 4:00pm which is good. Happy hour is the same timeframe as well. One thing that appeals to us are the daily specials that they have. Also they have a great special a full rack of baby back ribs dinner which includes two sides and a corn bread muffin for $21.99. It is a great deal and was enough for my hubby and I. I just added two ala carte sides. Wow! The baby back ribs had the most delicious sauce and were very tender. Our sides were very good with the exception of their coleslaw. For some reason it didn't agree with us. Not sure if it was a slice added but we didn't like the flavor of it. Our server was friendly, prompt and very good. We enjoyed the rest of the food a lot and our server plus the prices. Now we why Dave is Famous! Excellent ribs....The best that we have ever eaten!

We had a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was hot, fresh, and we we served quickly. You can really tell they know their barbecue. There have the trophies to prove it. lol. The ribs were tender, the brisket was juicy, and the sides hit the spot (the cornbread was a favorite!). The service was just as impressive. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from start to finish. We made jokes and truly enjoyed our afternoon. It's not every day you get both great food and great hospitality. I would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone craving some solid BBQ. A great spot for families, friends, or anyone who appreciates good food and good vibes. Very kid friendly.

The service wasn't the best, the Tuesday deal for 2 was good but wouldn't be worth full price. The pulled pork was good my sister got it. I got the wings and they were ridiculously greasy. Very loud inside as well

Got a half rack or ribs as the Wednesday special, definitely worth asking about the daily specials! Food came out quick and the bartender was very nice. Great rustic bbq styled restaurant to check out.

It's the first time for us at Dave's famous Barbecue! There were 7 of us and we were seated promptly. There are a few large rooms, including a game room and outside patio. We sat in the main room where the waitress took our drink and food orders. Jim ordered the Feast for two and it had brisket, chicken, ribs, corn muffins , corn on the cob, beans , coleslaw and chips. I had the pick two and it had country baked chicken and ribs. The sides were a corn muffin, baked potato and coleslaw. Frances had the yummy Baked Potato Soup with bacon. Everything was super tasty and very fresh. We even had leftovers! I was surprised that we hadn't tried this restaurant before. We will surely return to this bustling delicious restaurant!

This is my husband's favorite place. I am not a rib lover but this place has a variety that I love it too. Today our server was Jesse and he was excellent. Prompt service and always checking on us. I had the pick two with hot sausage and burnt ends today with Wilber beans and collards and it was excellent. I was looking at their menu while waiting for my meal and just noticed that they have 28 flavors of wings. I think I know what I'll have next time.

The customer service is good. they were on point but giving a open attitude that was nice. after 5-13 minutes of ordering, most of the food came. they said sorry for the last food being late after 6-10 minutes. saying that the food was amazing is an understatement of how well the food was. everyone ate everything. We even had to take leftovers because there was to much of a meal. If you are ever looking for a good meal, come by the Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que. It is worth it

After many years...it still holds up! That's right...it has been awhile since I've been back so I wanted to pop in for a spell. Get it? Because it's getting closer to Halloween? Even on a slow night...the food and service was money. The brisket nachos were delicious. Granted a lil cold/ Luke warm at best...mainly because of all the cold toppings. Great beer selection. I had a kona gold wave. And let's not forget about dessert. To a T of what I had remembered the first time I had it. This contender puts to shame the "bread pudding" that Texas Tony's dishes out. I do always enjoy the ambiance. It's reminiscent of a barn. And every time I do step inside...id like to think I had a part to play of FD even coming to Ft. Myers, FL.

Hadn't been at a Famous Dave's since the Chgo area, I had the burnt ends & the meat didn't even taste real, totally lacking in flavor & the texture. Sorry to say won't be back......service was slow also, we were sitting for a good 5 minutes before someone came over; hub said want to go somewhere else meaning, looks like no one is going to come over to us.

Great food (I got mine to go) really nice bar area with pleasant -not overly chatty- clients. Grabbed a beer while my order was prepped. $2.50 draft yuengling beer! Nice!! St. Louis baby back ribs were excellent, chopped pork was outstanding. Burnt ends were a bit sparse but tasty. Great coleslaw. Really a solid bbq joint!

Decent food. Wanted to get the Mac but had jalapeños in it. I don't like spicy. So they ruined the Mac in my opinion. Ordered the 2 meat pork and brisket with beans and mashed potatoes. That's One thing I hate about a place that's serving mashed potatoes without Gravy. Like it should be a thing! Have gravy with it, unless customer doesn't want it with it. I'm a gravy guy, and famous Dave's messed up by not having it. Brisket had a lot of fat in it. Also the toast is cool but don't skimp out on the meat. I feel like they put that under the meat to raise it up to look like it's more. Come on add some more meat on there dammmmn. I mean this is a BBQ place right? Other than that tasted decently. But between Famous Dave's and Mission BBQ, I'm choosing to go on a Mission. Don't care to be Famous at this point.

What the heck happened to this place? It used to be fairly good a few years ago. The food was horrible. We were there around 4:30 and the only thing fresh was the iced tea. We started with friend pickles (aren't they usually dills and dipped in batter?) These (sweet pickles) were sludged through some gross speckled package something or other and must have been sitting in grease all day. Friend ordered beef tips, greens and garlic mashed. They all must have been sitting on the stove or in the oven all day. Same with a main order of brisket - outrageously expensively for the 6 slices of brisket that had been cooked in the morning with the same aweful garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli. The waitress was absolutely lovely and we felt bad for her because the place was almost deserted. Had we known we, we would not have gone either.

We recently had Famous Dave's cater our small wedding in Cape Coral. Ordering was incredibly easy, I called and they took my order right away and gave me a quote right there on the phone. They showed up on time, set up quickly & everything was so delicious! I highly recommend them for catering. Thank you guys so much!

Had St. Louis style ribs. Where do they find the skinny little pigs for their little ribs? All the fat was cooked out and so was the flavor. The rub was excellent but the ribs were cooked so long that the meat had no texture. Service was great, collard greens were near perfect, they even had the pepper vinegar! Sweet corn bread muffin was great. Dave, go to Publix and buy some real American ribs from good, fat American hogs and try again. Unfortunately these ribs are above average for the Fort Meyers/Naples area. Thanks

FD is my favorite chain restaurant and this is the best one! When I lived in Ft Myers this was my hang out. It was great to meet some old friends here recently and show my wife the old watering hole. This one has a huge bar area that's great for dinner or apps with drinks and watching the games. Plenty of local beers on draft along with the macros plus a full bar. The bar area even includes a pool table and some games and attached to a nice outdoor patio. Out of the 4 or so Dave's I have visited this one is by far the biggest and the most fun. There's also a quieter dining room area separate for a food quiet family meal. On our most recent visit we just ordered tons of apps for the table and shared drinks with old friends. The service was mostly great (a second order of wings was pretty late). The bar tenders were nice and prompt other than that wing order and a manager checked on us. For the food you can't wrong! Beware the entrees are huge. That dinner for two would really feed four. I love the brisket burnt ends. Very few restaurants offer this and Dave's is by far the best. The app with a side is a full meal! Their wings are also great. There's a nice variety of sauces. The Devil's Spit hot bbq is my favorite (always have a bottle of it at home). Overall great food and service in a great setting with fair prices makes this place a gem.

Absolutely fantastic meal and service! We were there later in the day on Mother's Day. We caught it during a lull. We started with the nachos appetizer which could be a meal. I have never asked for a take away box for an appetizer. We both had the burnt ends plus ribs. Both were cooked perfectly. We enjoyed a slow, leisurely meal in a comfortable booth. The decor is homey, comfortable and comforting. We'll be back!

The food is always great at Famous Dave's. They have a (large) lunch special pulled pork sandwich with a side for like $6 weekdays. Best lunch deal in town.

Missed the mark today. The ribs were okay and the beans & cornbread were good but the brisket was really disappointing! We used to love their brisket but our serving today was underwhelming. And who wants to pay $3.79 for a fountain drink?? That's offensive. $50 for lunch for 2 is too much for that quality. The service was very good though.

4.5 stars! if you want good bbq with a fun atmosphere, this is the place for you. Indoor and outdoor dining along with a game section makes this the perfect family dinner spot. I had the 1/2 rack ribs with corn and baked potato. All of it was great. I love all the sauces at the table and like my ribs wet so I mix all the sauces on the ribs. They were so good. You also get a corn muffin with your meal that is so good and sweet. Hubby had the ribs and sausage. My sister had the catfish fingers and her hubby had the brisket sandwich. All the food was good. We went for a late lunch/early dinner. Only one other party was in the restaurant. Our server was very nice and attentive.

Great food! Husband and I each chose the 2 meat portion menu- I ordered the brisket and chopped pork with mashed potatoes and he had the bbq chicken and ribs with broccoli. Both meals came with a sweet corn muffin. Have to say that the food is really good, tender with great flavor. Even the sides were good. Prices are comparable to other bbq. Each meal we chose was $13.99 each plus drinks. We chose the smaller portion meal and was good amount for us. Hostess could have been better, sat us at a dirty table that I had to wipe off, seat cushion was ripped and husband said men's room smelled of urine. Although.... I would go back for sure - the food was that good! Recommend!

Wow! This place is not far from me and the food is incredible. The mac and cheese was so good! Topped with Texas brisket. Crazy good. I can't wait to come back! Shelby was a super delight, friendly, and really took care of us. Thank you Shelby, you're a totally sweetie!

we bought the pick 2 with burnt ends and chicken tenders with 2 sides for nearly $30. The amount of food was terrible. the chicken tenders are tiny, and the burnt ends are enough for an infant to eat. I will never order this again. If I could post a picture I would it's seriously terrible, food for the price. My wife's sandwich was satisfactory. My appetizer of pickle chips was more food than the $30 pick 2 entree with sides!

Just don't order takeout. You will not be prioritized and the food will be late. Every time. Not sure why they can't get that part of the business right.

We were having a terrible evening and decided last minute to grab some bbq. Our server Johnathan was pleasant, upbeat, and had our food and beverages two us in record time. He checked up on us routinely and heightened our spirits. The food was also top- notch. When we got home we realized we left our credit card and we called after closing to leave a message but the manager on duty Jason answered and found our card and was very helpful!

Was looking forward to good bbq, very disappointed. My wife ordered a burger, way overcooked and you can tell it was frozen. I can't believe a place like this doesn't make their own burgers. My son got the sausage and brisket, very small brisket portion and the sausage tasted like a breakfast sausage. The only saving grace were the corn muffins. My baked potato with pulled pork although cold was good.

Our server was very good! The food is good but there is less of it every time we go there, the prices stay the same or get higher! Very disappointing!!

I love Famous Dave's food.... never had anything close to being not good. But today stopped in at the bar. I'm not a drinker usually anymore but I was craving a Melonball. I haven't had a good one since college days in Miami. Well I had one of the best today made by Melony K!! So stop in and get one ..... sooooo yum!!

So I have quite the lengthy review so bare with me. I have been to Famous David's™ a few times, and I think this will unfortunately be my last visit if this is how my experience will be. We started the night (a party of 4) by walking in to the restaurant, followed by a waiting period of 15 minutes with noone seating us until someone from the bar walked over. Once seated we waited for another 15 minutes to order drinks from someone who wasn't even our server. At this point my enthusiasm started to die down for the delicious barbecue I've grown to love at Famous Dave's™.The dining facility was empty mind you, and a party of two had been seated right after, with their order taken before ours (not that im frustrated but I am a bit due to this and felt a bit clownish waiting to have my order taken after. My good friend had ordered in good faith a Diet Coca Cola™due to his diabetes, and the waitress carelessly brought him a regular sugar filled beverage. Finally we have our order taken. The food finally arrives and boy did it look killer! Unfortunately the burnt ends me and my friend had ordered were cold, and mushy, and the corn was cooked like a child had made it. Good presentation but unfortunately my meal wasn't as delightful as I had hoped. But son of a bitch ill tell you that cornbread and ribs really elevated my meal from clownish to actually pretty epic. We will finish it off with the dessert review. My good friend who was also apart of my dining party had ordered a delicious ice cream brownie, and our server kindly added a few scoops for the rest of the table! Really saved my experience and put a smile on me and my friends faces. As we were leaving the dining facility, I was offered a to go drink, which I gladly obliged! The only complaint I have to that was I was given a childrens straw for a large cup, but was quickly replaced with a normal sized straw when asked. Overall a good social experience although the service was lacking, and my food was more of a 6/10 rather than a blowout 15/10 that Famous Dave's™ has had the reputation amongst my fellow dining party.

We ate at Dave's last week at their outdoor patio. It was a very nice evening and the food and service were terrific. I had barbecue chicken, sweet potatoes and green beans. My husband had brisket, sweet potatoes and baked beans. Everything was delicious and our service was very good. Our food came out quickly which was wonderful during these Covid times. I felt I was in a safe situation at this restaurant.

I have always loved BBQ if it's done correctly. This was definitely doe correctly! I had the Texas Beef Brisket sandwich and it literally melted in my mouth! The meat was sooo tender, the bun was a little crispy for that perfect crunch around the edges. The food was worth a 5 star for sure. However, the service is nothing to write home about. Our waitress was to busy flirting with the men at the bar to take care of us. We had to flag someone down for refills, to go plates and the check.

By far one of the best BBQ restaurants I have ever been to and I have been to a lot! I had three meat platter with three sides and cornbread and I can tell you honestly that every single morsel I ate was beyond fantastic. There was nothing left on the platter when I was done. By far better than Mission or Dickey's. I found this place literally by accident and it was the best decision I made to pull into that parking lot and give it a shot.

So food is delicious service very good. Low review I think it expensive for a chain BBQ. Coming from Ohio we have great ribs and never that expensive. Next we ordered off the everyday value menu. We both got 2 meat platter. My husband picked ribs for both meats, server came back to say you can't have 2 if the same thing.????? WHY I ask. On the back of their regular menu they have lunch specials. Under lunch specials it's stated Choose two different meats below. Really for the 2 rib bones you get on the platter seriously you going to pull a rule like that? Every time I've come here I've had some weird issue, I'll still come back because the food and service is good. Just ask questions before ordering.

Famous Dave's has the best Texas style brisket in the area. I chose the Wilbur beans and coleslaw, both very good. The beans had a large amount of BBQ and brisket mixed in. The coleslaw was just sweet enough. Famous Dave's pickles are my favorite and they use to come with the platter, no longer! It cost me extra to have pickles! The music was way to loud and was conducive to digestion.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE FAMOUS DAVES!...or at least I USED to. Very disappointed with our visit to this store Saturday! Our waitress was nice but our order was wrong. I only received a half order of tips when I should have gotten a full. I ordered the 3 meat combo and got an order of pulled pork, one small order of tips- I should have received a second order of tips, even the server agreed I didn't receive the correct amount. They brought me more tips, but things started out badly. The corn on the cob was tough and waterlogged, my tips were barely warm, my friends cornbread muffin was burned on the edges. The worst of all was the beans, WHICH I USED TO LOVE! I was given a TINY, little sauce cup of beans as one of my sides! I wish I had taken photos. The plastic "dish" was only about 3 inches (or less) across the top and tapered down to maybe 2 inches. It held about 4 small spoonfulls of beans! And the beans were HALF SOUP! VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THE STINGINESS OF THE PORTIONS!!! I said something to the manager on duty and he started talking about "inflation and cost of products". Well, fine than add $1 to the cost of the meal and give the customers a proper order of food! We're talking about BEANS here! They aren't expensive even with Bidenflation! I can get a FULL CAN at Publix for $1- and that's paying FULL RETAIL! I'm sure Famous Dave's buys these in huge bulk quantities at wholesale prices! I first started eating at Famous Dave's back in 1999 at their downtown Chicago location which was right around the corner from where I lived (I even met Dave himself during their grand opening). I REMEMBER they used to give you a Banana Split-sized dish of beans and garlic smashed potatoes! I LOVED THEM!!! We drove all the way from Clearwater down to Ft. Myers (2.5 hours drive each way) to visit this Famous Dave's and we were MAJORLY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Had a pleasantly wonderful bbq dinner here today. A very welcomed meal in a Covid-19 time. Food was yummy & FRESH! Bathrooms were clean, which is so important to me. I took my pup, Hunter & we ate outside comfortably. Erika/Erica (?) was my server & she was awesome, sweet, genuine & patient! Great job, Erica! Thank you to Famous Dave's for giving us an awesome date night dinner out. Jasón was the manager/supervisor/leadership person on shift! Thanks to both of these guys!

The sliced brisket was just awful. The small thin slices of brisket were no different in taste and texture to lunch meat. I would have saved $$$ by just going to my refrigerator and putting a hot dog or fried bologna on a bun and calling it a day. Whatever this place is calling brisket is a heavily over processed "meat" product. Left the sandwich uneaten. Complete waste of money.

I love Famous Daves. My fiancé and I are from Minnesota and moved down not too long ago. We thought we'd go out for a little "taste" of home I ordered the south side rib tip app and it was horrible, cold and burnt. Definitely finished it because I was starving just wish it would have been fresh and not burnt. We'll definitely give it another try

Food had no flavor not hot tasted like is was lightly warmed in microwave. Wouldn't go back for price very small portions as well

Feast for two on Tuesday- we have been getting this for years so I know what it should look like. My last three visits have grown increasingly disappointed. My son was moving to Orlando and our last meal was THIS meal and I always ask for extra barbecue sauce because we are sauce people. They forgot all of the sauce so when I got home I called to speak with the manager, Mr. Fox. He apologized and said the next time I came, the feast for two would be complementary. I live alone so I don't get the feast for two unless my son comes home. Five months later we wanted to order it and I asked for Mr. Fox and he said too much time has gone by and he would not honor his original offer. I'm not sure how he arbitrarily just decides there's a time limit on the offer but I said OK I'll just pay for it. Of course they forgot our corn muffins so when I called and spoke to Ashley she said she would contact the manager and call me right back which she never did. We went again last night and I explained to the manager very nicely what had happened and I did not think this was a good business practice. He said he could not do anything which honestly I really didn't expect him to but said he would leave a message for Mr. Fox who is still the general manager at this restaurant. When I got home - again no sauce! After I had repeatedly asked for Texas pit and Georgia mustard and a couple packets of the rich and sassy there was nothing... And these are the french fries that accompany a feast for two. If you go to Five Guys they will give you 10 times the amount of french fries that came in this almost $50 dinner. Extremely disappointed. I'm not sure if I will go again, depends on if Mr. Fox will ever contact me as I left my phone number and told The manager last night that I would be happy to speak with Mr. Fox. For as much as this meal cost, you would certainly expect enough french fries for two people and certainly not to forget barbecue sauce since this is a barbecue restaurant!

Food & atmosphere were amazing! Great drinks ( blueberry mule ) son was happy there were games to play & kept entertained while waiting for the food ( which took over 30 minutes ) I think our server was " in the weeds " and was super busy, there where other servers around but no one offered her any help it seemed like ! She still had a great attitude through it ! I believe her naw was jasmine being a server myself I didn't get upset with her over the wait for food and refills ! Really wanted a shirt but they didn't have my size ... I like pig butts and I cannot lie ... will definitely return to Famous Dave's !!

The bar staff is not able to handle a few costumers. They are totally oblivious to what the customer needs and the manager is not much better. They stood around eating cookies while tables had no plates or utensils to eat the platter of food already delivered. We saw several parties walk out after being ignored. No wonder the place was empty. The food was okay but there was a strange odor in the restaurant that was not very appetizing.
