"Huntersville, North Carolina-born franchise Famous Toastery hoped to share its breakfast specialties and 'fun atmosphere' on Feb. 12, but 'unforeseen problems' have pushed its West Ashley debut back to an unspecified new date." - Susan Stapleton

Food was not to shabby. But definitely not what I was expecting. I was expecting more, but it is what it is. Cornbread or whatever it was they brought out was cold it would've been better if it was somewhat heated. Service was good but definitely different from what I'm used to

Staff were polite and prompt with service. Food was good but not the best. To be fair I did get a wrap from a mainly breakfast menu. My server recommend it and while it was good I swanee the side of mashed potatoes was not up to par of good ol grannies. The manager came by to just check on my meal and ask me about my day which was very polite. Honestly, I will be giving them another try some other time and will definitely get something from the breakfast side of the menu as the man at the table next to me ordered a nice egg plate of some sort.

Excellent service, food was ok, we all felt like there wasn’t any pop or any wow factor to it! Good place and food, just nothing to die for personally! Best part was the corn bread you get while you wait for your food!

Had the peach Bellini which was really good. Also had the avocado omelette. Didn’t have much seasoning so I can’t say that I’ll be back for that. The service was great and the restaurant was clean.

The first time we ate at Famous Toastery was in Garner NC and it was so amazing we couldn’t stop going. I’m from Charleston so I figured it would be the same experience but it wasn’t. The people were nice but the service wasn’t as good here. I got the same thing I usually get the corned beef hash and it was good but not as good as the one in NC. I was a little disappointed because I was really in the mood for the same experience but it’s not quite there. Just step it up a tad Charleston. Your my hometown and I know you got this! We are moving on again and I’ll try this place somewhere else to see if I’m wrong about you.

Decent experience I'd say. The food was pretty good and the environment was as expected. Nothing fancy, but not shabby either. If you're looking for a casual breakfast spot, Famous Toastery should fulfill that need.

👎🏼 Nope. Came in for breakfast on a Saturday morning with my daughter. Not very crowded. Ordered 2 identical orders of 2 eggs, sunny side up, breakfast potatoes, bacon and toast. Platter arrived with cold yolks. Like, ice cold. Not even room temp yolks. COLD. We sent both platters back. The bacon was in a separate plate, which they left on our table. Breakfast comes back out and again…COLD YOLKS…and clear uncooked egg white on top. I seriously felt like I was being punked! I even laughed and asked the server to touch the yolk (because I really think they were looking at me like I was crazy!). The server then asked if id rather have my eggs scrambled!! Uh, no, I like my eggs sunny side up, and cooked…or at least warm! They took back the orders for a 2nd time. At this point I was starving so picked up a piece of bacon to snack on….of course, it was ice cold and drenched in coagulated cooking oil. That was it. I took one last sip of my coffee (which was actually pretty good), I left a tip for the server and I walked out. The manager followed me out and asked me to please reconsider. She said she would go back into the kitchen and make the eggs herself. I declined because at this point I was just fed up. She was kind enough to give us some discount cards for a return visit. I seriously doubt I would ever go back. Maybe their lunch is better, I don’t know. I do know that I would never give them another shot for breakfast.

Very clean place with fast service. Went on New year's day and we were told it would be a 30 min wait. Only felt like 15 minutes before we were seated. We got our drinks within the first 5 minutes and our food was ready in about 10 minutes. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benedict was very delicious. The omelette could have used more meat but it was still pretty good
