LA’s New Restaurant Openings - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Fan Girl Cafe is a woman-owned, queer-owned, very-hot-pink coffee shop in West Hollywood that looks like a lot of fun. There’s a disco ball, pink tile floors, and karaoke nights for those with a burning desire to belt in front of strangers. There are standard espresso drinks, too, plus a few food options like fruit bowls and molletes." - Sylvio Martins

Google
Love this cute cafe in West Hollywood! I was looking for somewhere new to relax at while doing some remote work during the week, and saw this as an option on Google Maps. I thought it looked cute, so I stopped by - I'm so glad I did!! Hidden in the back of a strip mall/parking lot area, it's not the most noticeable from the street. Once inside, however, you enter into a cute little world with lots of female pop artist decor throughout and their music/music videos playing inside. I loved the fact that the music is played in a way where it doesn't feel like a club, but it's still a fun vibe if you're wanting to enjoy the songs and music videos while there. And of course, I love the messages of inclusivity within the cafe...and the fact that the default milk is oat milk, which is my go-to milk for coffee drinks!!! At a lot of places, I have to pay extra in order to get it. What a pleasant surprise that it's the default option for once! The staff inside is all very friendly and had my lavender latte ready in no time! Oh yeah - and they have plenty of outlets for charging devices inside!! Most cafes and coffee shops, at least in LA, either don't have them or have covered them up so you can no longer use them these days. Fan Girl Cafe is super cute, unique, and fun. The drinks are also solid, and the space is great for stopping by either to hangout or get some work done. I highly recommend!

Google
Super fun vibe (girl pop music over the decades, LOVE!) and yummy food with tasty coffee as well. If you like friendly staff, feeling like you’re a character in a music video and chilling with a cool collection of fan girls, this is the place to be.

I moved to this neighborhood (SMB/Crescent Heights) in Weho a few months ago and discovered Fan Girl Cafe. It could be easy to miss, especially if you're driving, as it's set back from SMB in the parking lot between the Russian deli and Ocean Sushi (which is also 5 stars). So now you have no excuse for missing it! It's been a long (long) time since I've come across a "coffee shop" that is truly original and unique in its concept and design. FGC (can I call you that?) aims high and nails the landing. OK, why the 😍? The approach through the small, drab parking lot gives no hint what awaits you. Open the door and you are pulled inside by all of your senses. The dominant interior color is pink — with each wall and the ceiling in every shade, from blush to magenta and everything in between! 🩷🫦💓💕💜❤️ This is anchored by black chairs, banquettes, frames and a classic bnw checked cafe floor. The lighting is a bit of a miracle as it's a crazy mix of daylight, ceiling tracks, pin spots, tasteful neon art, a bare Edison bulb and, because this is Weho, a disco ball... But instead of chaos the overall effect is a warm, welcoming, pleasant space. Brava💡 Then, there's the aural experience. True to their name, these Fan Girls (biz- & life-partners Betsy & Cynthia) are fans of girls who make music! A single flat screen tv plays videos of the songs. And much like the lighting, the music is the perfect volume to set the tone without overpowering conversation. The walls display framed original art: photography, paintings and digital art (all for sale) paying tribute to women rock, r&b, folk and pop stars. And we're not done... One of the two restrooms pays homage to Betsy's fave Gwen Stefani. The other is a nod to a gaggle of girl Grammy winners. Don't be shy about visiting both - they're awesome. Oh yeah, the coffee? They start with Intelligentsia Coffee and then add something magic. I've had Americanos, filter and latte with almond milk (which is now my standard order). Today I succumbed to the chocolatty chocolate croissant I've ever seen 😋. So now I will have to venture further into FGC's menu of brunch and sandwiches and salads. Bottom line: the owners and staff put their hearts, souls and considerable sweat into making Fan Girl Cafe a joyful, delicious space. It is always busy but never too crowded to find a spot to sit and sip and enjoy a bit of respite from the world. Next time you want to try something new in the coffee space, walk or drive (there's free parking!) over and prepare to be WOWed!

Google

An Instant FanGirl of FanGirl! I have just discovered this fan-static space after years of living here. It's a one of a kind fun upbeat and kind atmosphere. The food is wonderful and so are their array of caffeinated beverages. I was torn between two dishes one being the ‘"Chila'quiling Me Softly" but I settled on the 'I'm-so-Egg-cited' Breakfast Wrap (as I know I’ll be aback and a burrito like entity I was in the mood for. It hits the spot and I could not devour this fast enough! Especially since it's accompanied by the most delicious side sauce to tip each and every bite into. The Chai is phenomenal and can be served in seasonal crockery upon request. Thank you Chai will always love you! I'm a new fan of you fan girl Cafè! My husband and I will be back! This entire space has my heart!

Google
Fan Girl Cafe has become my new fav coffee shop! Def the best coffee in West Hollywood. You’ve gotta try the Lady Carmalade. Side note, all the drinks are adorably named after song titles. To accent, they have artist photos decorating the entire cafe. Making the atmosphere super artistic, playful, and fun space to hang and do work. Plus, they have WiFi and plenty of seating to cozy up and get some work done away from home. You’ve definitely gotta stop by, grab a drink, and say hi. The owners are super nice. And other people who hang out are very friendly creating the perfect sociable environment.

Google
An absolute gem in West Hollywood. Fan Girl isn’t just a coffee spot — it’s a vibe. Equal parts pop-culture shrine / queer haven / creative hangout / damn good coffee shop, this place feels like stepping into a love letter to the girlies who raised us — from Britney to Beyoncé to Dolly and so so many more. Every corner radiates joy and intention. The decor is cheeky and colorful, and the wonderful staff make you feel like you’ve just walked into your best friend’s living room. More than that, Fan Girl does the important work of creating a space that centers and celebrates our LGBTQIA+ community. Support this amazing local business!

Yelp
If you're into supporting queer, latina owned, women owned businesses -- this is the place. Aside from the FREE parking, this coffee shop hosts tons of fun events, has a nostalgic 90s/2000s music vibe, and their drinks are incredible. I've worked from the coffee shop a few times and love that the music isn't too distracting and the crowd is always chill

Yelp
They have a unique business model. Celebrate our favorite artists and this week it was Lady Gaga. A very cute cafe that celebrates love. Ordered the Gaga coffees, cold brew with blood orange foam and Perfect Celeb latte also with blood orange cold foam. The coffee has a rich flavor and I am not sure if I would get blood orange again but it is still good. Everything was well decorated and we loved the different chairs. Parking is a little tricky there is a free lot but parking is tight. Definitely a place to come back for their next pop up or just for a great cup of coffee . Side nite we got the pistachio croissant and it was fine.

Yelp
Some parking available in the lot. Small coffee shop with big personality. I had a matcha and slice of banana bread for a snack. Both were good. Lots of outlets available. Very friendly service. I would come back!

Yelp
My new favorite coffee shop in LA! A friend found it on Google Maps and we decided to give it a try last weekend. I've already been back twice, if that's any indication of how much I love it! The menu is extensive, not to mention not expensive, especially for weho. I especially like the Silk Shiffon iced tea, which is as colorful as it is delicious. I've also had the So Long, London-Fog tea latte and enjoyed it. The space is so fun -- there are kitschy items for purchase and lots of music theming all over the walls. And, yes, that even extends to the bathrooms! I also love that it's woman-owned, and they're so friendly and welcoming. Fan Girl Cafe has made me an instant fan girl. I can't wait to go back tomorrow!

Yelp
My go-to coffee/work spot in West Hollywood. Every single drink I've tried has been incredibly delicious, such that I savor every sip! Cheerful atmosphere, friendly staff, and full of community!! The bathrooms are also top tier lol! We have to support our queer women-owned businesses, I'm doing my part! :)

Yelp
Super cute spot, with AMAZING coffee. I got hazelnut and vanilla late, and lavender and vanilla. Super yummy, not overly sweet, perfect combo. Betsy (one half owner with her partner) and their puppy were there, we love a good cafe pup. Super sweet and happy. Everyone here was extremely nice and the vibes are on point. Beautiful decorated, Betsy does concert photography and puts on shows at various venues in LA. They have some food options, cute merch, stickers, etc celebrating a variety of women in music. If your around the area I highly suggest coming in .

Yelp
Cutest coffee shop! Love all the celeb merch and cute vibe! I am from OC and come into LA to get my hair done every other month and always drop in, love it!

Yelp
I love everything about Fan Girl Cafe. The decor, the screens, the memorabilia, the baristas, the events, and even the bathroom is super fun. With cushions, coloring books, and music videos, I sometimes find myself here on my lunch breaks just to unwind. Cynthia and Betsy are the best. It's a spot that has a lot of loyal customers, but due to being tucked in a rather hidden corner, I bring people who work locally and they're surprised this place exists, and I hope they succeed in finding that more long-term location they want. In the meantime, free parking lot and constantly positive vibes are reason enough to support them at this location!

Yelp
Free parking? I'M IN! From the street, it looks like a small lot, but when you pull in, in the back corner, there's a small garage. At 11:00am on a Sunday, we had no issues parking. There were also a good amount of open seats available inside. The decor is amazing and mildly overstimulating. However, if you are a music fan, you'll love looking at everything on the walls. You order at the counter. When our drinks were ready, they called our names and we grabbed it from the bar. When our food was ready, they brought it right to our table. My mollettes were delicious but I think the prices were a bit steep for the portion sizes. I also really enjoyed my iced latte and I drank it way too fast. This seems like a cute place to meet up with friends, get work done, and enjoy good music.
google avatar

Brianna W.

Yelp
Was able to come in for lunch, had a Hot To Go on a bagel and a Vanilla Lavender latte. Still thinking about that bagel, it was SO good. But what made my visit was the vibe and the inclusivity. You're able to color, make new friends, pet dogs; it reminds me of what the Friends cafe would be like but gay

Yelp
Their Pistachio Latte is all vegan and so incredibly delicious! It's a must try! On this visit my husband also tried the Bananarama Toast. Poppy Seed Toast topped with pistachio butter, bananas, chocolate, olive oil, salt and agave. The staff is great. Friendly and helpful! I just love the vibe of this place. It's become our new Sunday spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Located in West Hollywood, it's such a fun cute café with music videos playing on the corner TV there's ample amount of seating, they have merch you can buy in addition to delicious sandwiches and coffee. Even the bathroom is decked out. Go ahead and support a woman on business.!!
google avatar

Jen C.

Yelp
New menu items and events - check out their IG for fun. My friend loved their caffeinated brat drink topped with pistachio sprinkles. Wifi and friendly folks here! Get inspired by the music videos and music photos on the walls. Great spot to invite people who are afraid of parking in WeHo...there's a free parking lot.

Yelp
Such a cute place with a fun vibe, super yummy food and fabulous coffee. The pop girl music and decor is ON POINT and the whole place just feels like you're in an 80s/90s movie scene. Also, the nicest people work here. Love it!

Yelp
Grill stawp. How did I not see this once on my way to work. Prolly cuz it's hard to pull into the lot coming from the west. This shop lit my ADHD receptors up. It's for fan girls who are fans of girls basically. Everything is pink. See below. They have a bunch of locally made merch and concert pics, plus an adult coloring book station on a comfy couch. This place better stay in business. They've been here just one year. I got some Christmas presents. They have events regularly too. Coffees good and decently priced. Check it out y'all. Oh and check the bathrooms too. Don't say I didn't warn you if you have ADHD.

Yelp
Stellar staff that was super friendly on entry. Coming right after a run and having this Iced Americano was the perfect fuel I needed. Inside, the decor is really dope and feels like great music nostalgia mixed with the neighborhood. Love this local spot.

Yelp
Look no further! If you like a neighborhood, place to enjoy fantastic, coffee, drinks, sweet treats, and other surprises, you will love Fangirl Café. Woman owned, queer, friendly, peaceful . It is my zen place I was also surprised to see how many events they are sponsoring. Go to fangirl.com on Instagram to see. Cheers

Yelp
This place has a triangle of excellence in food, service and ambiance. The food is delicious. We had a pistachio butter toast, a ham and cheese croissant, and a blueberry muffin. The pistachio toast was so good that words don't do it justice. The service was incredibly kind and they introduced themselves to us. The ambiance is that of a green room prior to a rock concert with posters of some of the greatest females ever it rock it. Music plays accompanied by music videos, so that you can see your favorite rockers. The vibe is one both my wife and I loved. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves rock and roll.
google avatar

Yelp
This is literally the best cafe in Weho, if not all of LA. The vibes are absolutely immaculate and the space is so welcoming and open. They have so many different fun events I'm just obsessed. Not to mention the owners and employees are the kindest people who provide top tier service! I love everything I've tried in the menu (and I've tried a lot) you really can't go wrong with anything you order. You need to check this out!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing service, great ambiance, and the best baristas in weho! Got an iced Brat-stachio (shout out to Billy for making my drink) and an abba-cado toast to start my day today. I wouldn't be able to survive at work without Fan girl. Honestly best cafe, hands down!!!

Lola B.

Yelp
The best almond croissant I've ever had in my life!! coffee was good too. tucked away in a corner of WeHo, friendly staff, adorable vibes etc we love women

Yelp
OWAH AHMY AGAUWD... if I could invent the perfect coffee shop, FAN GIRL would be it. I love it when something is beyond my wildest dreams. Like their specialty lattes have TWO flavors- duh. The food tastes like it was cooked by angels- I didn't even know I liked pistachio?matcha green honey sticky butter with banana and cacao on poppyseed toast until today. Everyone in our friend group could not hold a conversation bc our food was distractingly good. Plus I was able to do a ton of birthday present shopping! Do not sleep on the B/S breakfast sandwich + spicy ketchup and get a Lady Ginger-Lade to-go for your SM Blvd stroll. NOT overrated- they know what they are doing. The sign told me it would be my new favorite coffee house and they were not wrong. Thank you FAN GIRL! Keep doing what ur doing!!!!

Yelp
I found this place by chance. It's super cute inside. There wasn't too many options for lunch but the salad was very fresh. I had a smoothie too and it was very good as well. Check it out.

Sarah T.

Yelp
What a great place! The lavender haze latte was excellent and my god the Egg-A-Licious breakfast sandwich is obscenely delicious. I legitimately want to leave work and go back for another one. I will be craving it daily for sure. The sauce must have some kind of addictive substance in it, and if that's the case, so be it. It's worth it! I'm obsessed!!

Nazneen C.

Yelp
Super Cute vibes! I love the menu! Great service! I got the smoothie and added some protein and the lavender!

Daniel P.

Yelp
My favorite local coffee spot! There's such a great sense of community here, the music theme is so fun and fresh, and there's so many fun goodies and gifting ideas to look at. Service is also beyond. The bratstachio and lavender haze are my personal favorites!

Yelp
Walked right past it as first as it is off the street and a delivery truck was blocking my view. Very thoughtfully executed vision from seating, decor, and menu. The barista was quick and knowledgeable. I enjoyed my espresso and would come back should I be in the area again.
google avatar

Amber D.

Yelp
What a gem of a place. Needed somewhere to wfh after I finished my workout class and found out about this place. I love the fact that they have parking. The decor is cute with pink and black all over and I like how it's a cafe dedicated to female pop stars. With that, I ended up having the mollete and a coffee. The mollete was very tasty and just what I needed as a savory treat for myself. The coffee is good as well. The two owners were very nice and were helpful with giving suggestions as to what to eat. I definitely will be back and hope to try a latte next time or even one of their Korean donuts.
google avatar

Danna K.

Yelp
fantastic ambiance. super gay and fun. I had the breakfast burrito but it came with the mayo inside and it was too spicy for me. I had the toast after with a nut butter and it was good. We'll be back! Service was great.

Yelp
My 2000th review goes to Fan Girl Cafe! Fan Girl Cafe is tucked away towards the back of Crescent Heights Plaza, on the north side of Santa Monica Blvd, just off Crescent Heights Blvd. There's plenty of parking in the mini parking structure next to it and since it's away from the street it feels like a little safe haven for music fans and concert lovers like me! The coffee is excellent and the food selection is unique and tasty. They are a small independent, LGBTQ and women owned business which is even more reason to stop in and skip the corporate chain cafes. I'm just happy and proud to say I visited this place before it blew up and became famous. I've been to a lot of cafes/coffee shops (chains and independent) and Fan Girl stands out against the rest. To me, Fan Girl is a music or concert themed coffee shop that is BEYOND cool. I'm a concert and music festival junkie and I feel like I died and went to heaven, because this is literally everything I'm about. The decor, music, colors, prints all speak to me. The restrooms are art installations in themselves with one of them being Gwen Stefani themed and has the line, "This Shit is Bananas" hanging over the toilet. It's also covered in actual artwork from concert photos to actual art by Michelle Andrade. It's such a fun and playful space and I'm DEFINITELY coming back to work from here. FOOD: My first coffee concoction was Fade Into You latte which if you're a true music fan you know that song title and love it. It's basically a lavender vanilla latte which I've tried from other shops before, but theirs has the right proportions and gets it right. If you order that drink, ask them to play that music video and watch how fast your stress levels drop! For food I tried the bidi-bidi-bom-bom molettes, which is a baguette with a light layer of refried beans, cheese and FRESH pico de Gallo. It's a great snack that will hold you over if you want something filling but light and substantial. I tried the We got the Beet tostada as it was recommended and I'll admit I was hesitant. The only time I eat beets is if it's in a juice drink and for health reasons. The beet tostada is tasty and refreshing and honestly we all need beets in our life so just get it. My favorite dessert by far is the Knafeh with the scoop of vanilla ice cream. I've seen Knafeh at Mediterranean markets and was always afraid to try it but now that I've had it at Fan Girl I'm a fan (pun intended). It's not baklava but it's similar except for the filling is this sweet cheese and with the ice cream it's to die for. The ladies at Fan Girl also have cool events happening so check their Instagram for more info. I've been a fan of owner Betsy Martinez's concert photography for a while now, so when I heard her and her wife Cynthia were opening this cafe I was so excited. If you grew up during the heyday of the 90's/2000's and love music and pop culture or if you're over the regular coffee shop vibe, Fangirl Cafe is for you!

Yelp
This place is amazing! I'm kind of in tears (happy, excited, reverent) taking the vibe in. The owner Betsy is dope. The lattes are themed (I got a BRATstacchio ). I also got some Taylor Swift and Chappell Roan merch. I love the creative rockstar woman power ambiance SO MUCH. Thank you for answering the call of your dream Betsy!!

Scarlett Rose R.

Yelp
A true gem for the queer community and Hands Down the BEST coffee in LA! And the food is absolutely delicious. The ambience is also 10/10! Seriously, go just to check out the bathrooms. The staff and owners are super friendly and welcoming.

Hannah L.

Yelp
My favorite place ever! Tokyo Calling- MATCHA is the best matcha I've had and the vibes are incredible. Absolutely love the owners and the atmosphere they've created :) Forever a fan!

Yelp
Amazing find in West Hollywood! Betsy and Cynthia have really outdone themselves with this incredible cafe. The atmosphere and vibe is super fun and musically delicious. The food is wonderful and the coffee is from Intelligencia. They often have special events, they'll soon be celebrating their 1-year anniversary on December 4th. Our service was wonderful and the food was delicious, as well as the coffee.
google avatar

Yelp
YES. Yes yes yes. THANK YOU for opening a Sapphic space that isn't alcohol-centered & that features the rockstars we prioritize. There's something fun about loving all the shades of pink while ordering a vanilla-lavender latte - two things I rarely do. Does Fan Girl help all transmascs explore their soft side? Mmmmmaybe. Food menu hits the spot. Intelligentsia Coffee is solid, and I hope they try a local roaster when the timing lines up. Photos of badass femmes and thems! Music videos on the tv! Crayons and coloring books?! LOTS OF FREE PARKING?! Yes yes yes. I'll be backkk...

Yelp
I've tried sooo many coffee shops in the LA area but this one by far has been my favorite! Every detail of this coffee shop makes the experience so special. This is for the girlies who love music and coffee. The chai tea latte was delicious and so were their pastries. The employees were SO nice and gave us insight on the cutest cafe I've seen. We literally spent hours here because it was just the cutest environment. There's plenty of parking nearby and tons of spots to take pictures, and be sure to check out the cute bathrooms!
google avatar

Cole C.

Yelp
LOVE this café! The inside is super cute and music themed. The first time I went they were playing Chappell Roan music videos and customers were singing along. There's always chill, welcoming vibes there and the workers are very sweet. WeHo is obviously LGBT+ friendly but it's great to have an inclusive daytime spot in the neighborhood that isn't a bar. It helps that their matcha is also delicious..

K S.

Yelp
I had the Cosmic Love iced tea, which was so much more than what I expected. The place has awesome ambiance and friendly service! I love this place.

I was in WeHo for a meeting, had a bit of time and checked on Yelp for a Local coffee spot and Fan Girl popped up. Super cool place! They carry Intelligencia coffee (one of my faves) and have a great coffee/tea drink menu. The vibe is great, playing 80's music videos and there are all the amazing female artists on the walls (one of the owners, Besty, took a lot of them at shows she's attended). They've put their heart and creativity into this sweet spot just three months ago and whenever I'm in the area, this is where I'll be stopping to grab my tasty bev.

Yelp
I love this hidden gem. Great concert photography decorates the walls, there's plenty of seating, and there's parking. When I need a latte this is where I go. Such friendly, quick service. Highly recommend.

Yelp
While driving by, noticed this gem of a place in the heart of West Hollywood. I had a crème brûlée pastry and a hazelnut lavender latte. Everything was on point, what a treat. Love the bouncy colorful vibe.

Yelp
Love this cafe! Great food, great coffee and it wasn't busy at all. Perfect to work at, or for a quick pick me up. I love that they have parking!

Yelp
Fan Girl Cafe offers delicious treats, espresso drinks, and mocktails in West Hollywood. Amazing service and hospitality by Cynthia and Betsy who created this space to celebrate female artists and bring together people in the WeHo community. 10/10 enjoyed my americano and Korean pastry. Parking is free and easy. Would recommend this small business to anyone looking for a morning or afternoon cup of coffee, a bite, and a chill place to enjoy!
