Fan Tang Asian Cafe - Kirkland

It’s an almost self serving restaurant that you sign in at a terminal to order and pay. You also serve your own utensils and extra sharing bowls and plates at the station. It’s making sense to collect tips because the servers will bring your order and clean after you are done. The ambiance is pleasant and elegantly designed and very spacious. Only complaint is you have no option to control how spicy your food would be.

They make pretty good Hunan cuisine noodles. Good portion, the amount of meat was very generous. Our favourite was the pork strip noodles. I didn't end up taking a photo, that one is not spicy. There's a serve station for cutlery and vinegar etc, very convenient. We all got full from the amount of the food we ordered. Recommend!

The 12 Spice Rice Noodle soup was such a delight that we have returned 3 times in the last couple of weeks just for that! It’s the perfect winter soup. The Thai Pepper beef was spicy and delicious. The Mei Cai was nice, I’d like to try it again but preferred the Thai chili beef better head to head. The pork and pickled green bean soup was tasty too. The staff was nice but due to the kiosk ordering I didn’t really interact with them too much. While I can’t speak to the authenticity, I have been told by people who can that they enjoy it!

Pork (9/10) and spicy beef noodle soup (9/10) were both amazing. Noodles were very tender and fresh. Flavours very authentic. Pork flavour itself tasted like 鸭脖王 flavours!!

Authentic Chinese Hunan flavor. Consistent. I’ve been coming since last year when I learnt about this place. The service is mostly self-serve except serving food, so it’s not much different from a normal restaurant where the only extra service is getting water.

Extremely disappointing experience with both the waitlist system and the staff. My friend and I came to this restaurant and saw a long line of people using the self-service kiosks at the entrance. I scanned the QR code to join the waitlist, and the system showed no wait and that a table was available. So I stayed in line to order. When it was finally my turn, the front desk staff told me that if we wanted to dine in, we had to wait for a table. I showed her that the waitlist app said there was no wait and asked how they determine who came first if there are no numbers or names being called. She said she “just knows” and refused to give any kind of ticket or number. Another customer also started arguing with her about the same issue, so clearly this wasn’t just my misunderstanding. When tables opened up, it turned out she didn’t know who arrived first at all. She started asking the people waiting at the door, “Who came first?” I said I had been there the longest, and she didn’t believe me at first and went around asking other guests. Thankfully other customers were honest and confirmed that we had arrived earlier, so we were finally seated. Unfortunately, it didn’t get better after we sat down. We placed our order, and then our food just never came. Parties that arrived and ordered after us got their food, ate, and even turned over tables twice while we were still waiting. We had to follow up with the staff three times before our food finally showed up.

I’m not from HuNang, so to me, the food is already good enough! The amazing part is the service speed, almost no wait time! I should come back more often.

The food here is below average. Reminds me of airport food. We ordered and bunch and the only thing I found good was the chicken fried rice. The string beans were undercooked. The braised pork rice bowl had cold cooked veggies and raw salad mixed together. This is a self serve restaurant like the type at a food court but they will clean up the table. Annoyingly, there were no spoons, only forks, chopsticks, and soup spoons which made eating my fried rice more of a chore than necessary.

Whoa! This place is so close to my office and I never knew about it!! I got the pickled long beans dish and I think from what I saw was the only one that had "enough" vegetables-- the others were very meat focused/biased. It was interesting that they hid the bokchoy on the bottom of the bowls- I wonder if they were raw and only cooked with the dish poured on top? But the food was delicious and the broth was great and the price was fine and I would be happy to come back here if I had reason to. (My office...gives me food, so I'm not all that likely to come here on a weekday, unfortunately.) We came as a large party, and the only large party seating they have is on bar stools, which isn't my favorite. But they have plenty of small ones for 2-4 people!

I got the spare ribs noodle soup and it was delicious - way better than I expected. The meat was extremely tender and flavorful, and the soup was very savory. The noodles themselves were also new to me and I liked them a lot. I finished the bowl very quickly and drank all the soup - I didn't find it too salty to drink, which is a common problem for ramen or pho broths. My only complaint is that the amount of bokchoy in the bowl is a little low; there were only a few small leaves of bokchoy in the whole bowl, as you can see in the picture.

No chicken and shrimp options . Lots of beef pork options . Didn't like the test . I thought it's Szechuan cuisine . Nothing tasted good

This place is consistent, tasty and fairly priced. Glad it's in town and we don't need to always drive to Bellevue or Redmond for good Taiwanese food.

Like the name suggests, this place is rice focused. The delicious here are authentic and delicious. You eat everything with rice. Some are spicy so if you can't tolerate spice, be careful. Prices are great and with many people you get to try more dishes. Service is fast since you order online. Lots of seating available.

I have seen this place here for a couple of years and finally tried it for lunch. It's mostly Chinese, but more traditional Chinese (which is good) with a few other Asian food influences for some dishes (thus, I guess, the fusion in the name). First, the place looks a little long in the teeth around the entrance, ordering, and counter areas as it ages. Empty display cases, odd areas with nothing that had previously served some purpose, etc. The rest of the space is clean, well-designed, modern, and inviting. There is only one kiosk for ordering, so I assume they want you to use your phone with a QR code. This is the only way to order (the kiosk or your phone). The food is excellent, and the portions are enormous. The Braised Pork Trotters Bowl is close to three meals for me, and the flavors in that dish are stunningly good. The place could use a light refresh around the entrance and front, but maybe the business isn't strong enough to fund that. But it was busy when I was there. I will definitely return to try more of the menu. Many things on it look amazing.

Wonderful casual semi-cafeteria like restaurant for yummy rice noodles! Plenty of parking in parking lot shared with the metropolitan market nearby: Mostly self-serve with utensils and self-seating. Order from a QR code and they will bring your food to you once it's ready. We really enjoyed the pork ribs and minced pork with pickled long beans. The noodle soups' flavors were spot on and had some spice to it! Very delicious comforting meal. This is our second time here and we will definitely come again!

Delicious beef noodle soup!! Flavorful broth, beef is tender and well portioned. Very generous portions, ample seating. Located downtown Kirkland in the Met Market Plaza. Highly recommend for a tasty lunch or dinner when you're craving soup noodles!

When cashiers who is aloof and inattentive combines with customers with no class (driving their signature white Tesla suv) cutting in front of you in line you get a -5 star aggravating experience. It's surreal seeing the cashier facing the kitchen for 5 minutes. Ignoring the customers. Then to have a Chinese lady just slide right in front of me in line pretending like the line doesn't exist. Sadly this restaurant enables this type of Neanderthal like behavior. Kitchen: 4 out of 5 stars Cashier: 1 out of 5 stars Customers: 0 stars Wait Staff: 1 out of 5 stars Constructive feedback: Train your cashier and wait staff to multi task. Stop enabling line cutters. Every time you let it slide you lose a returning customer. At a minimum check who's entering your restaurant so you can track who arrived when. Sadly you need this more than any other restaurant in the area.

Tried the 12 spice beef noodle soup here, and it was pretty good. I haven't found very many places serving Chinese beef noodle soup around the Seattle area, so Fan Tang is a welcome addition to the scene. I found it a bit spicy, but I don't have any spice tolerance at all, so for most people it's probably fine. The process of how to order was a bit confusing, we came for dine in where there was a QR code on the table but also kiosk ordering where you need to grab a number for your table so we were a bit lost. Staff was pretty friendly in clarifying though. Water and utensils were self service at various places in the restaurant. It was also really clean inside. I think the beef noodle soup was $14.50 before tax which is a fair price IMO. I didn't leave feeling super stuffed but it was a decent amount of noodles. I'll definitely be back next time I'm craving beef noodle soup.

I feel quite neutral about the food here - some dishes were flavorful and well prepared (toothpick lamb, malatang soup) whereas others were underwhelming (12 spice noodle soup, which had overboiled noodles and lack of complex flavor that I expected from the name). This is an easy and casual option (slightly cafeteria-like) but I would rather go to the places that do these dishes better, like Nine Way.

Outstanding "cafeteria" style food - and I mean that in a great way. It's a more efficient self-service format, very clean, normally fast (I have seen them bogged down during super busy periods), and what I'd consider comfort food with good presentation. My kids love this place and we swing by for a quick fix on a regular basis since they opened. My favorite offering here: Mei Cai Pork Belly Bowl 梅菜蒸肉盖码饭 - Pork belly slow cooked with house chili sauce and Mei Cai, a dry pickled mustard with rich aroma from southern China, served with roasted pepper and rice.

We dined-in this time. Decently sized parking lot, but seemingly always almost full, but still not too hard to find a spot. Kiosk ordering with self-service with the utensils and water. Before you finish ordering, grab a table number and enter it in the kiosk. That's how the server knows to deliver to you. This time we ordered the Thai Chili Beef Stir Fry and the 12 Spice Beef Noodle Soup, and they were both very good! It is a little bit costly for the amout of food you get. The noodle soup probably for a regular guy will make you feel not hungry, but definitely not full. And the Thai Chili Beef Stir Fry has a lot of rice. Like, once you've actuall finished the beef, you'll probably still have half a bowl of rice left. Other than that, pretty great experience.

My impression of this place is that this is basically a Chinese cafeteria with the super casual environment haha. There's a take-out window right outside the restaurant and if you choose to dine-in, you get seated and then self-order via QR code. The food is delivered to your table and from here, it's pretty much self-service- you get your own utensils/water. I appreciated the variety in the menu items from rice platters to noodle dishes, and they all looked really good! We ordered the sweet and sour pork + baked salmon bowl, which honestly tasted like a great home-cooked meal. Everything was well seasoned and portion sizes were quite large for the entrees. I would want to try one of the noodle bowls next time I come back since they seemed authentic!

The noodles were great. I went with a friend from Hunan and she said the wide noodles were pretty authentic. But we wish they had more noodle options. Not sure it this was the norm or not, but we arrived, they basically only had one noodle dish, the beef one. The management of the restaurant though, was quite chaotic. When we arrived, they told us to put our names on the waitlist. But there were empty tables and we could actually just sit there... someone else confirmed that we could sit at the empty table. We also waited for a very long time until our food was served. The waitresses also served food items one by one, which to me was not very efficient. They also ran out of chopsticks... there was this kingly pair of chopsticks sadly sitting in there and no one was willing to take the last pair... anyways, hope the management improves in the future. Will definitely come back regardless of the management hiccups.

Discovered the restaurant through Seattle Restaurant Week. Ordering was done through a self service kiosk. Restaurant was clean and sleek inside. Ordered the 12 Spice Beef Noodle Soup and Garlic Green Beans. Both had excellent flavor and were delicious. Looking forward to coming back to try other items.

This is the 2nd time Ive been here so I can confidently say it's a solid place. It's located in the same area as metropolitan market so there is parking. They have a take out window to pick up food and dine in as well. I have tried: Mushroom salad and the potato/carrot salad ---both were standard, has some good flavoring. Sweet and sour pork tenderloin -- similar to sweet and sour chicken but pork version. Its not as saucy but the flavor is there and it meets the criteria. The pork could be more tender though. Chicken and mushroom wonton soup --- probably my favorite so far. The wontons are super plump and flavor is good and the soup goes well and is perfect for a cold day. Price for portion is good as well. Overall, it's a good place

Authentic Chinese food! A unique modern experience as you step into the restaurant. You order your food using a computer. Little did we know that you can also pick a table first and order from your phone. Our favorite was the garlic beans and beef with sweet sour chili sauce topped with cilantro. The pork with Dashi was bland. The food was served fast! Although it's quite a self serve restaurant where you pick up your utensils and bowls up front. It was tasty!

tl;dr - good chinese food with healthy options, casual atmosphere, good service This place has made it into my wife's regular rotation for lunch. The food is tasty and has unique options for making your meal lighter. When you enter, there are several kiosks which you use to place your order. You'll get a number and the food will be brought out to your table. Silverware, dishes, water, and tables are all self-serve. They do have some seating outdoors. Despite being mostly self-serve, the staff is really friendly and will help you get anything you need. * - Recommended Wood Ear Mushroom - The wood ear has a nice crunch, but I would have like to have a bit more flavor. Pork Belly Buns - The pork belly is delicious and pairs great with the bun. I would personally prefer a soft, steamed bun instead of having it toasted. * Fan Tang Salad - The dressing is delicious and pairs great with the variety of vegetables. You can get it with either chicken or shrimp, but I could honestly just do without them. * Spicy Shrimp and Pork Wonton - This is a great appetizer and exactly what I would expect it to taste like. But I'm a bit of a sucker for wontons in spicy sauce. * Thai Chili Beef Stir Fry - I like this dish because the beef tastes fresh and goes well with the sourness of the peppers. It also has good heat if you're looking for some spiciness. * Ginger Chicken Noodle Bowl - Probably my go-to dish if I want something light. I swap out the wheat noodles for zucchini noodles and add house chili sauce. * Mei Cai Pork Belly Bowl - The pork belly is deliciously fatty and tender with great flavor. The Mei Cai is a great complement to the pork and gives a earthy aroma to the whole dish. Hunan Beef Fried Rice - This is a typical fried rice with beef. I thought it was good, but not special. Toothpick Lamb - This has good flavor, but I think it lacks heavy seasoning and fattiness that I normally see in this dish.

3.5 stars. Found this little cafe randomly when searching for a lunch spot in the area to meet up with my friend. Was really craving some soup noodles since it was rainy outside. Location was easy to find and plenty of parking next to MM. The beef noodle soup was delicious and hit the spot, different than the usual taiwanese version in terms of spices and unique. Beef tender and generous portion. There was not enough broth though, too much of the noodles but they did add some more for me later when I asked. Toothpick lamb was also a yummy treat! Green beans were good but not amazing. Stars lowered mostly for the salad that we ordered. Expected it to be more than just some random greens, radishes that were super bitter and a few strings of 干豆腐 tofu, really no sauce or flavor at all. Self-service mostly for everything including ordering at the machine. Servers busy with take out orders mostly but were nice when approached.

Was pretty disappointed by our experience here to be honest. The ordering system is super confusing and the menu on their monitors is different than what was available on their app. Everything was super hands off and you got your own utensils and water and ordered on your own so it felt almost self serve. The food itself was just OK and not somewhere I would rush to try again. Kind of expensive but huge portions

It's a very attractive, stylish restaurant. As you walk in, you place your order and pay at a touch screen. They only have one and it can be a bottle neck. When my 12 Spice Beef Noodle Soup arrived, I was shocked that there was no vegetables. Relieved when I found the bok choy hidden in the bottom. The broth had a nice, deep flavor, and the beef was richly braised with a good mix of fat and connective tissue. I added in the wood ears and the slivered ginger that was in it made a great addition to the total flavor.

The food is amazing and came quick perfectly seasoned and decently priced as well. Hot and fresh and so good

I think this is a newer spot in Kirkland. Stopped by on a visit to the area based on the ratings. This rating isn't a negative at all, just 3 for an average experience. There's a hint of authenticity in the taste, but nothing too strong. I've been spoiled with home cooked meals for the summer though and as you all know, nothing beats mom's cooking. With that in mind, I feel like my opinion may change when I'm craving comfort Taiwanese/Chinese food. The biggest pain here was the value (price for the quantity). Taste was solid in some aspects and average in others. Nothing stood out positively or negatively. Did not interact with staff enough to formulate a strong opinion on service but they were friendly and welcoming. Overall positive with a greeting and then bringing food, but other than that there wasn't much interaction. You pour your own water from a counter and grab utensils from another. They have two tablets to order from. Garlic Green Beans - exactly what you expect. Green beans sauteed with garlic. Tasty but I can't justify the $9.50 price point. They do have a happy hour from 2-5 where the price is slightly above half, which is better. I'm not sure if the amount is reduced so can't report on that, but $5 sounds more reasonable especially for a smaller appetizer. Mei Cai Pork Belly Bowl - I love mei cai kou rou, it's a staple. As a side note, dong po is also a great staple. Anyways, the pork belly was juicy and tender. Spectacular, but you only get about 5 pieces in a bowl for $16. The small salad and regular rice are okay supplements to the meat, but they don't contribute enough to justify the price point either in my opinion. Taste is great but underwhelming in quantity. 12-Spice Beef Noodle Soup - okay beef noodle soup is my number one comfort food so I have stronger opinions here. You get a mix of both meat and tendons here and they're tender pieces. Noodles were great and longer pieces, if you told me they were handmade in store, I'd believe it. However, on the disappointing side were the vegetables and soup. I only had about 5 or 6 baby bok choys and maybe not everyone likes their vegetables, but it's a big part of my expectation. The soup tasted a bit watered down. While still slightly spicy, it was very difficult to taste much of the bone broth or beef. Overall, it's a nice spot for authentic Chinese food but isn't perfect. Personal bias to home cooking and Taiwan food may be reflected in my taste and this review so I'd keep the thoughts in consideration but not completely sway any action. Value feels underwhelming in regards to price versus quantity. Hopefully can revisit after being away from home for a while to re-evaluate.

Dude, if I could give this zero stars, I would. We ordered door dash here tonight. We ordered the Fan Tang salad and the Thai Chili Beef. The beef was too spicy, full of salt, and the sauce tasted like arm pit juice. I had to chug a bottle of Tabasco just to get the taste out of my mouth so I wouldn't throw up. The salad was bitter and aside from that, tasteless. We won't be ordering from here again.

Becoming disappointed now and way worse than before. Did they change the chef? Ordered Sizzling pork bowl and spicy bamboo shoot pork in different days recently. First one is just salty and no spicy at all. I chose "add spicy" in the second order and found they just at chili powder instead of real chili，which spicy taste is totally different. Don't they run out of hot chili?

I happened to go to the Kirkland Met Market when I saw this restaurant and decided to get takeout from here on a whim and boy am I glad I did! I got the garlic green beans, mei cai pork belly bowl, toothpick lamb, beef noodle soup, chicken & mushroom wonton soup, and the shrimp and pork wontons in chili oil. Everything was delicious and incredible - I would choose this restaurant over din tai fung anyday! The service was also super friendly and fast, and inside it is a more casual vibe and they also have chairs to sit on as you wait for your takeout order which is really nice!

It's a good thing that I don't leave near this location because I would probably go broke from ordering out here. We stumbled upon Fan Tang on Yelp after completing a long trail run, and we were hangry. The food cured my grumpiness, which is impressive! - Pork belly buns: 5/5. I like the combination of the soft, slightly sweet, steamed buns with nutty arugula, pickled mustard greens, and savory pork. - Mei Cai Pork Belly Bowl: 4/5. I would skip this one now knowing it's very similar in flavor profile to the buns. The pork is oily and fatty, as expected. I did appreciate the tanginess of the mustard greens and accompanying pork drippings. -Shrimp and Wonton Pork Soup: 5/5. Savory broth with meaty wontons and crispy bok choy. Even my partner, who doesn't like seafood, liked the shrimp in this dish. Service and atmosphere: 5/5. This rating is mostly for efficiency and super serving speed. We ordered on a touchscreen tablet, and the food came out in under 10 minutes! I would hesitate to call this a 'fast food' place since the food is great, but the speed is noteworthy. The restaurant is super clean and modern with ample indoor and outdoor seating.

One of my favourite spots for some delicious asian cuisine! My co workers and I go here almost every week and we enjoy a lot of their items on their menu. I'd recommend anything with their rice because it's so fresh, warm, and full of flavor. The service is fast and simple, as the environment is friendly and easy to get along. Parking isn't too bad of a hassle, but i'd recommend starting to look once you are near the restaurant.

Pretty good asian restaurant! We found this spot on Yelp and it seemed promising, so decided to give it a try. You order on your own and then grab a number, and they bring over the food to your table. I got the malatang which had so much in it -- glass noodles, beef, fried chicken, and tons of veggies. All of it was so good! The price was quite high but was justified. I also tried a bit of someone's spicy pork which was super good as well. Probably some of the best I've had. Overall, a pretty decent spot for some asian food!

We've been going to this restaurant since they opened at least once a week. The food here is good, no doubt about it. The customer service unfortunately is still lacking. The hostess is extremely rude tonight. We walked in to a wait. So we didn't want to wait and decided to order take out after some time. There was an exchange with the hostess about how to order takeout. the gist of it is just that we are told to make sure to select takeout at the kiosk. Then later when the food is ready, our name on the wait list just happened to be called. So I said we will just eat our takeout there. Mind you this is a fast food restaurant where you get zero service. The hostess gave us an attitude saying she told us earlier that if we ordered takeout we can't eat there. And worse yet when we told her she's rude. The piece of shit had the audacity to talk back. Here is the problem: 1. There is no communication about restrictions on dine in if we ordered takeout. 2. The rule makes zero sense. This is a fast food restaurant. By eating our takeout we save you some dishes to wash. We will get out of there quicker. It is a win win situation. 3. You don't get to give customers attitude unless a customer initiated it. At a top tier restaurant even if customers give you shit you just take it, but I digress on this. Finally I have some bad news for the hostess, when you give customers attitude you deserve every bit of it back at you plus some more. You piece of shit.

They've really hit their stride, so I'm bumping things up to a 5! They are really bringing the authenticity of Hunan cuisine here, and the fact that they're partnering with local farmers makes it 100x better! Check out their new items. They rotate pretty regularly, and they have all been hits so far. If you're not a fan of spice, they'll gladly accommodate to your liking. You also can accrue rewards towards your purchases too! Big fan and will continue to bring friends and family here. Keep up the great work!

Ordered the Cumin Beef with Onions (Mild Spicy) & a couple other items. Wasn't even spicy at all but tasted okay overall.

This place is soooo good! It's in a great location with tons of parking and has amazing food and the service is great as well! It's very casual, you pay on the kiosk, take a number and they bring the food to you. The restaurant is clean and the food also taste very clean and healthy. I never felt like the food was too oily or heavy. I always leave feeling full yet satisfied and still have energy for a walk! This restaurant is great! I highly recommend!

If you're near the Metropolitan in Kirkland, you should stop by this cafe. I ordered the Beef Noodle Soup and I was surprised by much how much food it was! It was really tasty and I really like their self-serve concept because you don't have to wait on anyone to get extra dishes or water, etc. If you use the Passport app, place your order with the person at the register instead of using the kiosk.

This place is AMAZING!!!!! On the outside, it can be a bit of a hidden gem especially because it's called a cafe, but it seriously is 5 star quality restaurant food. I got the spicy beef noodle soup, the chicken and ginger noodles, and the chicken and mushroom wontons. Everything was absolutely delicious but the spicy beef noodle soup is a 10000% necessary. Liiiike the beef falls apart the second you touch it, the broth is so flavorful, noodles are perfect, and the bok Choi makes every bite so balanced. Ordering is super easy and contactless with a touch screen. They bring the food out to you, and you grab your utensils and bowls and all of that by yourself which I loved. It was so casual and comfortable eating there, but the food was just unreal. I cant WAIT to go back, I literally can't stop thinking ab the beef noodle soup

As a fitness coach, its not easy to take my clients to dine out. I was thrilled to find Fantang as a perfect match. The owner was very sweet, offered zucchini noodle and cauliflower as replacements for rice and noodle. We are all very happy with all dishes! Highly recommended!

I'm a fan of Fan Tang and it's become one of my favorite lunch spots. I've worked my way around a lot of the menu and everything is quality. From the pork belly bowl, to the wontons, to the rich & spicy beef noodle soup, everything tastes fresh and delicious. It just feels and tastes like they are using higher quality ingredients. Do not skip out on any of their soups. Their broths are very good. It's not cheap, but I feel it's still a good value. Another thing I appreciate is the inside it's always clean.

Came here on a Sunday at 1:30 and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Love the ordering system via phone, and the service was prompt. Every dish was great and several - pork buns included- were terrific. I left stuffed and with extras. Live that it wasn't crowded and that the dishes were fresh and flavorful.

Heard about this place by word of mouth and I can't wait to thank that soccer mom, as well as go back and try more dishes! I'm fairly certain these will be in regular rotation: pork belly buns (melt-in-your-mouth belly, soft, fluffy white bun), sweet and sour pork tenderloin (omg, the FLAVOR!), and beef noodle soup (broth is on point and has a kick, beef is absolute mouth-watering perfection). The beef noodle soup is prob my fav, BUT then there's the spicy shrimp wontons (you can go nowhere but down from here)...everything was fantastic! They'll surely see us again.

We had an enjoyable late lunch at this newly opened Hunan restaurant! The place is primarily a bus-your-own-table system with orders first placed at a kiosk by the entrance. Inside is spacious with plenty of seating as well as a couple of outdoor tables. ----- Spicy Chicken and Mushroom Wonton (红油抄手): seven pieces of chicken, shiitake mushroom wontons in house spicy sauce ($9). It may be only seven pieces, but the filling was fragrant with a noticeable mushroom flavor. The sauce resembles chili oil which complimented the wontons. ----- Spicy Chicken Bites (劲辣鸡块): chicken thigh diced and panko breaded before deep fried. Choice of spicy katsu sauce or deep roasted sesame sauce ($8.75). The fried chicken was crispy and well-seasoned to have that kick of heat. We picked the spicy katsu sauce which I thought was okay. ----- Mei Cai Pork Belly Bowl (梅菜蒸肉盖码饭): pork belly slow cooked with house chili sauce and Mei Cai, a dry pickled mustard, served with roasted pepper and rice ($15.75). The pork belly was so juicy and soft! The pickled mustard greens were tasty and great to accompany with the rice. A small bowl with more of the sauce is included to dip the pork belly. ----- Baked Northwest Salmon Bowl (味增三文鱼盖饭): marinated with Japanese Yuzu sauce, garlic and miso, baked and served with vegetable and rice ($21.75). -----

This place is delicious and clean! Ordering system is pretty efficient with kiosks up front or the option to order from your table. The service is friendly and fast. On to the food... while I found the pork belly to be a bit on the dry side, the flavors for every dish were on point and really tasty. The mei cai was really the star of the dish for me as this is traditionally a laborious thing to make, with prep of the veggies being a pain. The fried rice can rival that of din tai fung's - I recommend it for anyone looking to get legit fried rice with that wok fried flavor (aka wok hay for my canto friends). If you like beef noodle soup, Fan Tang makes one of the better ones I've had. While it is definitely not mild, anyone who cannot handle spice should avoid it. The broth was flavorful and wasn't greasy, and the noodles had the perfect bite to it. Just beware the spice in this broth lingers on your lips :)

My boyfriend randomly came across this spot on Kirkland, and we're so happy it was SO TASTY. Best type of comfort food!!

I love this place. The staff and owner are super friendly and very attentive. Foods are yummy. So far, I have tried baked salmon over rice, pork belly over rice, and pork bun. They are awesome. I can see this place as my future go-to restaurant for a quick dinner.

Wow what a great cafe. Super clean and fresh spot with easy to order system on phone or at the counter. Food looked amazing and tasted good. Good quality food that wasn't too salty or oily. Great portion sizes as well. I'd definitely come back!

This is my second review and I will say I was much happier with the chicken fried rice this time. You can see a big difference in the amount of chicken. As always the spicy shrimp and pork wontons were delicious. We enjoyed the shrimp fried rice too, good seasoning on the shrimp and they were cooked perfectly. The pork belly bowl was interesting. They slow cook the pork belly so if you're someone who likes the fat to be rendered and crispy this dish would not be for you. I wasn't a fan of the sautéed peppers but enjoyed everything else about the dish. It came with the sauce on the side which I appreciated because the sauce is spicy. It allowed me to control how spicy I wanted the dish to be. We ordered online for pick up and the food was ready on time and still hot when I got home.

This place is cook and clean place to come for an afternoon lunch or quick dinner. My partner and I ordered the hot beef rice noodle soup, Miso and Yuzu Salmon, and the Schezuan style beef and rice. The soup was my absolute favorite. Perfect amount of spice, and flavor. Perfect for cold days. I love that they use rice noodles as we're trying to watch our gluten intake. The salmon was Ok, we probably won't order that again. Its a bit pricey as well. My partner loved the schezuan beef stir fry. Its truly schezuan style, numbs your tongue and is spicy! I was sweating, but it was good sweat. This dish was super flavorful. I could only handle so much, but it was yummy! The service is great and the staff are helpful. We most certainly will be back.

Beef noodle soup favor is out of this world. 12 different spices never had it before. You should try them. Pork belly melt in your mouth. Chicken fried rice is so good the it not enough to share. You can actually see the chicken. Sorry it the pickle radish but sheded potato with a very flavorful seasoning never had it before. Mushrooms are crunchy . Everything are amazing
