Outstanding food, warm and easygoing atmosphere, affordable, and a most dedicated and knowledgeable owner.
Discovered this place by chance on a cold afternoon with my family in Richardson. Came back a week later with a small group to celebrate my birthday. No one else had been to this café before, and everyone was highly impressed and enjoyed the experience.
Ethiopian food and coffee are delicious and made in-house. Pastries rock, best tiramisu and baklava around. Coffee originated in Ethiopia, and here you can savor it as well as anywhere else.
The owner, Isaias, has done it all, from laying the floors to baking the pastries daily. He has plenty of stories to share, including his knowledge of Latin America, where he spent a great deal of time in some of the most challenging places to visit.
PS: You can eat with silverware or in traditional Ethiopian style by picking up bites of food with pieces of injera (spongy bread).
