My friend and I loved the food. We had coffees and the meat stew with bread, so flavorful. The owner was really welcoming . Definitely give this place a try.

Update: they got lasagna now and is GREAT Great place to study & chill. Good wifi, and honestly, the atmosphere and staff are great. I talked to the owner of this place, who is also the baker. He told me that all the bread was made out of scratch! You can tell by the texture. The food has a touch of homemade yet gourmet. Usually, you would pay a lot for something like this, but prices here are accessible. I really recommend it!

Fanah Cafe is a true gem! They serve authentic cakes made from scratch, rich and aromatic Ethiopian coffee, and even traditional Ethiopian breakfast dishes like ful—which is absolutely delicious and filling. Everything is made with care, and you can really taste the homemade quality. The prices are very affordable, and the ambience is calm and cozy; perfect for studying, working, or just enjoying a peaceful break. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, which makes the experience even more special. If you’re looking for a quiet, friendly spot with amazing coffee, fresh cakes, and tasty Ethiopian breakfast, Fanah Cafe is a must-try. Highly recommend!

Google
First time in Dallas and stopped by Fanah Cafe and Pastry—such a great find! We had foul and tibs firfir for breakfast, and both dishes were flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The tibs firfir had the perfect balance of spice and richness, and the foul was warm and comforting. We also enjoyed some macchiato, which was smooth and strong—just the way it should be. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was kind and welcoming. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic Ethiopian breakfast or just a cozy cafe experience in Dallas.

Fanah Cafe & Pastry is an absolute gem—truly one of a kind and hard to find! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and welcomed with a smile. The owner, Esayas, personally served us and provided outstanding customer service. We tried the Black Forest cake and the blueberry scones—both were delicious, but the blueberry scone completely stole the show. It was incredibly flavorful and perfectly baked. Everything at this café, from the breakfast dishes to the pastries, is made from scratch by Esayas himself. We instantly felt at home and were genuinely impressed by the quality and care put into every detail. We loved it so much that we came back the very next day for more! If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favor and visit Fanah Cafe & Pastry—you won’t be disappointed!

Google
I found this authentic Ethiopian place which i was extremely exciting to try it a family owned by very lovely couple and the husband is the chef they had different French pastry but i do not think it was executed in professional way maybe that was the Ethiopain twist i dont know but that was not a croissants or cream puffs am used to have. firfit portion was small and am not sure about the taste because that was my second time try it as my last time was in SF 9 years ago. our hot drinks were oky strong and unique flavour.

Google
This place is absolutely phenomenal. The food is consistently excellent and the service is just as impressive. The owner is friendly, attentive, and welcoming every time. It’s genuinely one of my favorite places to eat, I take my family every chance I can! I love it even more than City Cafe, which says a lot. Everything tastes fresh, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. 100% worth it and highly recommended.

Yelp
Friendly staff recommended the Fanah Fuul and it was delicious! An Ethiopian breakfast, the fava beans in a savory stew with a bit of spice and chopped onions and tomatoes was a refreshing, light, and filling breakfast. It was enough to share for two or a hearty meal for one. The bread is soft and airy with a dense matter that worked well to pair with the food. The latte was good and extremely hot so be careful when drinking! It was less flavorful than other places, but still good. Note that this restaurant is in a busy strip mall with many other shops and there's plenty of parking although could be busy around meal times. Also, the restaurant is noticeable not pristine clean as there are small stains on table mats and some tables and chairs had crumbs. So if that is an issue for you, you may want to do to-go or look carefully for a clean table. Otherwise, it's a great place to enjoy a meal and cup of coffee. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous for the pricing.

Yelp
Went with my fiancé and a friend. We each tried a piece of cake and coffee. We ended up sharing a little piece of everyone's cake because it was so good! The owner makes the pastries by hand and you can tell he is very proud of his creations. This would be a great place to enjoy some coffee and a sweet treat with friends of even a place to work to get out of the house. They also offer a breakfast buffet on the weekends that we will try out soon. W

Yelp
Literally just recovered my account to review this place. I can say I was looking for cooper and found gold. Great place to study & chill. Good wifi, and honestly, the coffee and pastries are worth it. They also have vegan options. I was delighted when I found that now they do lasagna and it blown my mind. I talked to the owner of this place, who is also the baker. He told me that all the bread, sauce, pasta and custard (forcthe pastries) were made out of scratch! You can tell by the texture. The food has a touch of homemade & gourmet. Usually, you would pay a lot for something like this, but prices here are accessible. I really recommend it! This is a hidden gem

Yelp
Super rare to find. I ordered their drip and iced coffee, super affordable and tasty. This cafe is a small family business, their owners treat all their customers kindly.

Yelp
We heard about Fana from a Yelp review so we decided to try it. Fana is in a strip mall across from the Huffhines Rec Center so it's easy to find. It's a beautiful interior which, sadly, was not very full when we came on a Sunday morning. I ordered the signature yergacheffee, the Ethiopian coffee that I love. It did not disappoint. It was hot and a bit bitter. Thing is exactly what I had expected. My daughter ordered the iced mocha, which was also good. Due to the other review, I tried the chocolate chip scone; it was fine - a bit dry but OK. That's why I dropped a star. The other pastries looked beautiful, however. Would I come back? Absolutely! Fana is now in my Sunday coffee shop rotation; please support it.

Yelp
I stopped by here after working out across the street to get some espresso and pastries. Got a double and it was pretty good. I like this little Ethiopian cafe. The croissant was pretty good and the blue berry scone was decent. Later on, I stopped by again to do some work online since I can't do stuff at home. The lady at the front remembered me and was super nice. She wondered if I enjoyed my order from before and I said I did. Would definitely come back and sample a cake slice. The breakfast items looked interesting to try as well. Ambiance was nice. Some tables have outlets right next to them and there is a nice row of rectangular tables if you need some space to spread out.

Yelp
I've never had Ethiopian food before. They explained what everything was and what was in everything. I had the fuul. My wife had the adey abeba firfir. Both very tasty. Coffee was good as well and the cakes are great!

Yelp
I really like their Cake and latte. Thr owner is very respectful and served us with respect. I strongly recommended this place for your choice of desert and coffee.

Yelp
Very friendly staff! The cafe is spacious with a great atmosphere, it's family-owned, with all the baked items made from scratch. We tried the coffee cake and the muffin, which were both delicious! The pricing is the most reasonable in town. Going back next time to try their coffee!
