Fancy's Southern Cafe

The atmosphere of Fancy’s is awesome. The decor is real cool. The staff are friendly and attentive. I had the Biscuit and gravy meal. It was all a 5 for me. Fresh and yummy. My wife had the Chicken and Waffles. She rated it a 3.5. The best part was the syrup she said. Her complaints were that the chicken was dry and over salted and the waffle was rubbery. We still would come back and eat here again. They have a full bar also. The restaurant was clean as was the bathroom. We dined here on 6/14/25.

We just couldn't wait for the opening of the new downtown location, so we ventured down to the "south" restaurant. Wow! doesn't come close to our experience, but if the shoe fits... We started with deviled eggs, had the pimento cheese burger with collard greens and the Florida Hot chicken sandwich. Very tasty and unique. Wish we would have eaten Herr before now! Impressive bourbon selection with a wide price range. Service was great and the live music by Sergio Munoz (I'm fairly sure the name is correct!) provided some favorite 90s tunes and one "Johnny Cash" cover. We look forward to visiting the new location soon!

Awesome food and service! Best chicken pot pie ever had! Vegetables were over the top delicious, southern homemade for sure! Et touffe was delicious! Had bourbon pecan pie for dessert! Sometimes, it's nice to have comfort food while traveling. We found a great spot at Fancy's. The corn bread is to die for!!! I brought some back to the hotel to snack on. The portion sizes are very generous, and all the dishes were well flavored. The country fried steak was not salty or bland. It was just right. That can be hard to find. I loved the relaxed atmosphere.

The food had its ups and downs during my visit. The first round of ribs and sweet potato casserole were served cold, which was disappointing. I decided to try the blackeyed peas next, but they were a bit lacking in seasoning. I added some BBQ sauce from the ribs, which improved the flavor significantly. On a positive note, the Etouffee was quite good! Overall, I believe our server, Olivia, really made the difference in our experience. Her attentive service truly elevated our time there, and I appreciate her efforts, which is why I’m giving the restaurant five stars.

We went in on a Sunday morning shortly after they had opened so we were the first ones in there. First time here and it's very cozy. We had the scrambled eggs , bacon and hash browns with two pancakes that had cinnamon and powdered sugar dusted on it that went really well with their homemade syrup. If you enjoy cornbeef hash then I'd highly recommend it as it is homemade!! Pretty good coffee too.

What a fabulous brunch for 5 ladies this past Sunday . It was rainy and gloomy, but we had an amazing time at Fancy’s Southern Cafe. Our server Danielle was amazing, very friendly and professional, she checked on our special requests w the chef. The food arrived quickly and it was soooo delicious. We split few apps : fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, doughnuts, fried frog 🐸 legs (omg ..the best frog legs I ve had anywhere)! I had catfish w waffles, my friends had mountain man omelette, sausage gravy and biscuits, crab Benedict, sausage patties, pancakes, Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious 🤤, everyone was happy. Oh ye..and we did bottomless mimosas ..$23 a person, was def worth the price w 4 dif juices to choose from to accompany. We ll be def back to such a fine establishment in Ft Myers, FL!!!

Being from Kentucky, we were looking for a great southern restaurant , and we found it right here in Fort Myers. Mmmm friend chicken, chicken pot pie, yummy grits & so much more! Great comfy decor & Gina was the best waitress! Sit a spell & enjoy this fabulous food! Thank you for a fabulous meal & evening!
