Went to F&O for the first time for my 27th birthday because I wanted to try Chicago deep dish pizza.
I ordered a small deep dish cheese pizza as my entree, & cheese curds for my appetizer. Let me tell you, these were probably the best cheese curds I've ever had. They were super cheesy, the breading was perfect, not too crunchy, not too soggy, a perfect middle ground, and dipped in the marinara sauce included made these a delightful dish.
As for the pizza itself, I've always wanted to try deep dish, but never got around to it. I thought the pizza was fairly good, but it didn't blow me away. The crust was kinda flakey (almost like pie crust), im unsure if that's how the crust is supposed to be but it was alright. I would've preferred a garlic crust or maybe some seasoning to make it a bit more tasty. But the pizza was cheesy, and the sauce was sweet. It was probably a 7/10 pizza.
The place reminded me of Buffalo Wild Wings with the multiple TVs around the restaurant playing nothing but sports. It definitely feel like BWW, but overall it was presented well and clean overall. Bathrooms were clean too.
The service was okay. The server messed up our cheese curds by delivering mozzarella sticks, but it's okay, mistakes happen. Server didn't come check on us too much, but I can understand how when you have multiple tables it gets hard to get to all often.
Overall it was a good dinner. I would go back, but id try a different pizza with some toppings or different crust.
