"Most satay stalls will serve their skewered meats with peanut sauce, but what makes Fang Yuan Satay stand out is the cold grated pineapple added to the creamy peanut paste. The tangy fruit helps cut through the richness of the sauce, and is the perfect foil for the juicy cubes of meat dipped into it." - Meryl Koh

Uncle is the best and sweetest! Upon knowing that we have to wait for awhile for the food to get ready, uncle offers 2 sticks of satay for my kids! So sweet! Thank you uncle! Satay and the sauce was fantastic! Highly recommended.

Been eating this stall for over many years. first time today the taste of meat and sauce are entirely different. Also they no longer provide pineapple sauce. It's edible but isn't the same nor nice to eat. Also it's now 90cent/stick. Food two stars cos it's not the same nor as nice. Service one star cos removed pineapple sauce. Atmosphere three star cos 75 hawker still the same.

May 2022: first visit - tasty pork and chicken satay. We like it because the meat was lean and no fats in between the pieces. Satay sauce is thick and not oily. Jan 2024: repeat visit - delicious! Also like it that we could order and be seated and collect when the buzzer goes. Nice satay sauce.

Rated as one of Singapore's best Hainanese Satays with quite a few food guides, I must come try it out. On a packed Hawker Centre during peak Sunday night, I was surprised to see this stall manned by three young man has no queue. Was a little skeptical, but on ordering was given a buzzer thus I realised. Took us a wait of almost 30 minutes for our Pork satays. Their satays are grilled over charcoal fire in your view thus they retained the smoky flavour, and the satays are well marinated, nicely charred and very flavourful. Peanut sauce is thick and savoury. Only thing missing is thin layer of fat between the meat. Thus four stars in my view, worth a visit, but could have been better if they have that thin layer fat that would glisten the satays and make me come back again and again. At 70 cents a stick, it lack that fatty bits and lose out to my favourite in town.

I've been a loyal customer, ordering satay from this place multiple times. However, tonight's experience left me appalled. While enjoying my dinner, I thought I bit into a string, but to my horror, it was a hair tightly embedded in the meat. It couldn't even pull it out. Needless to say, I lost my appetite instantly. As a frequent customer, I hope the management takes immediate action to improve their hygiene standards.

4 stars - Very good, definitely worth a visit if you like this kind of food. One of the better pork satay around. Others have found the meat to be lean, but I think it was still flavourful regardless. Chicken was well marinated. Agree that cucumber chunks were a little large, but aiya. You here to eat satay, not cucumber right?

Date of visit: Sun 19 Nov 2023 Time : 8 pm Waited almost 10-15 mins for the beeper to signal our order was ready. 10 sticks of pork satay at $0.80 each. Ketupat ran out. Reasonably well done. Slightly burnt. Gravy lacks the punch a bit diluted.

Tasty satay at reasonable price! Their delicious pineapple puree are not offered automatically so do ask for it. The young lads at the stall are friendly, down to earth & hardworking. They don't collect payment in advance even if you order a few hundred. Great biz ethics!
