Supper Series: 5 Satay Stalls In Singapore Open Till Late

"Most satay stalls will serve their skewered meats with peanut sauce, but what makes Fang Yuan Satay stand out is the cold grated pineapple added to the creamy peanut paste. The tangy fruit helps cut through the richness of the sauce, and is the perfect foil for the juicy cubes of meat dipped into it." - Meryl Koh

31/July/2025 Had pork & chicken satay ($0.90 each) for dinner, was good! Relatively fast service & owner was friendly too. I would recommend people to try their satay if they are in the vicinity.

Satay was perfect. Meat was tender and full of flavour! It's 90c per stick so it's a little pricey. The peanut sauce was too watery though.

There are 3 satay stalls in this hawker centre and after tasting the chicken satay from all of three, I declare this my favourite! Not just here in TP Lor 5, but compared to the chicken satay from Chomp Chomp and Lau Pa Sat I tasted over the past two years, I honestly think this is the most tasty, tender and juicy chicken satay by far. And at 90 cents per stick, definitely the best value too. The satay is grilled once you place your order and after a short wait the slightly charred (NOT burnt) & succulent dish is ready. The smell of BBQ meat is heavenly. I tried the pork satay here and from the front stall. This one is much more delicious. Public carpark just next to hawker centre. Most stalls here open in the evenings, and this one too from 6-11pm daily. If you take the MRT (redline) it’s only 15 min walk from either Bradley or Toa Payoh, just a nice stroll to digest your food before heading home.

Think of satay along toa payoh, I will sure go for blk 75 lorong 5. Blk after covid till today july 2025. 4 year plus. The standard drop drop.drop till no comment... eating boil chicken with burn mark.. peanut sauce... cut cost till left peanut not taste.

May 2022: first visit - tasty pork and chicken satay. We like it because the meat was lean and no fats in between the pieces. Satay sauce is thick and not oily. Jan 2024: repeat visit - delicious! Also like it that we could order and be seated and collect when the buzzer goes. Nice satay sauce.

Rated as one of Singapore's best Hainanese Satays with quite a few food guides, I must come try it out. On a packed Hawker Centre during peak Sunday night, I was surprised to see this stall manned by three young man has no queue. Was a little skeptical, but on ordering was given a buzzer thus I realised. Took us a wait of almost 30 minutes for our Pork satays. Their satays are grilled over charcoal fire in your view thus they retained the smoky flavour, and the satays are well marinated, nicely charred and very flavourful. Peanut sauce is thick and savoury. Only thing missing is thin layer of fat between the meat. Thus four stars in my view, worth a visit, but could have been better if they have that thin layer fat that would glisten the satays and make me come back again and again. At 70 cents a stick, it lack that fatty bits and lose out to my favourite in town.

Uncle is the best and sweetest! Upon knowing that we have to wait for awhile for the food to get ready, uncle offers 2 sticks of satay for my kids! So sweet! Thank you uncle! Satay and the sauce was fantastic! Highly recommended.
