"Fantail is a light, airy Islington cafe serving thick NYC-style cookies and fluffy focaccia sandwiches. We like it for an upgrade to our usual work from home setup—just know there’s a 90-minute wifi limit and you have to sit on the big, communal island if you have a laptop—or a morning coffee catch-up that’s conveniently close to Highbury & Islington station. The focaccia sandwiches change often, but go for the ones with burrata or pesto, or ask for extra sauce, otherwise we’ve found they can be a bit dry. And that is correct. The caramelised white chocolate drops add some nice sweetness but in general the cocoa makes this a balanced bite. There’s so much rocket, though. And while the basil pesto and harissa ketchup are delicious, we’d like a lot more of them. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Bombay Chicken Sandwich Nicely spiced chicken and crunchy, refreshing cabbage make for a great sandwich filling.
