A Dazzling Finale to Your Disney Day – Fantasmic is Pure Magic! Fantasmic! at Walt Disney World is the kind of nighttime show that makes your jaw drop and your heart race—in the best way possible. It’s not just fireworks or a projection show; it’s a full-blown theatrical production with fire, water, music, lasers, and more Disney characters than you can count. The story follows Mickey Mouse as he dives into a dream (and nightmare) world where Disney heroes and villains clash. It’s dramatic, exciting, and sometimes a little intense—in a good way! The choreography, effects, and timing are top-notch. Watching the giant water screens play scenes from Disney classics while boats float by and fireworks light up the sky is nothing short of breathtaking. One of the most iconic moments? Mickey standing atop the mountain in his Sorcerer’s Apprentice costume, commanding fireworks and defeating evil with pure imagination. It’s Disney magic at its finest. Pro tip: Get there early for good seats—it’s an amphitheater-style setup, and the center sections offer the best view. Also, be prepared to get a little misted if you’re up front! Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, Fantasmic! is a can’t-miss experience that brings the perfect touch of wonder to end your Disney day. Limited handicap seating in the rear, get there early!

An amazing experience with great scenery and special effects. Definitely worth going to at the end of the day.

The beginning was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately 2 nights in a row it was interrupted and canceled mid show.

My family and I just watched the Fantasmic Show at Hollywood Studios. It was excellent, they have made great updates to the show and I am glad to watch the live performances on it as well. I highly recommend watching it and get there early so you get good seats . Disney needs to add more shows like this to their parks.

Google
Great show! I’ve seen it twice now with minor changes between the two shows. Always so much fun. First time I sat in the very front row, I do not recommend because you will get wet ! The back middle top row is the best seat for this showing. It’s always so magical 🤩

Google
Utterly amazing show, you have to try to arrive at least an hour or two before start un order to sit in the best possible location. I strongly suggest choose seats in the middle of the row. Not too ahead because you have the risk of getting wet. The show is really nice and funny, worth to enjoy it.

Google
Stunning! 🤩 Probably one of the best shows I've ever seen! The place was packed, so get there early (90-60 mins before!) ⏳ It's ~30 mins of pure Disney magic ✨—every second counts! Watching classic scenes & characters through the water is amazing, and Mickey Mouse? 🥰 Wonderful! My family enjoyed every second of it. Super recommended! 👍 #Disney #Show #Magic #MickeyMouse #WaterShow #Recommendation

Google
Arriving early makes no difference, as seats are assigned arbitrarily, and we often end up in inappropriate locations, such as in front of poles that completely obstruct the view of the performance. This is frustrating and disrespectful to those who make an effort to arrive early in search of a good spot. I kindly request a review of the seating assignment process to ensure all spectators have a quality experience.

Yelp
ALWAYS 5 stars. Best show ever. Lights, water, fireworks, music, villans, princesses, princes, and of course MICKEY MOUSE !! We come to this show ATLEAST once / twice every visit to Disney. My personal favorite show in Disney world. If you haven't seen it GO!!!
google avatar

Yelp
If you get there early, and you get a good seat, this is probably a 5 star experience. But we arrived five minutes before showtime and sat on stage left, all the way down, 3 rows from the top. We were on the end, so it was easy to leave after fifteen minutes. The show looks phenomenal! But with obstructed views (people and distance), we only saw part of it. In fifteen minutes we did see lots of animated characters in the stage area, and hear beautiful Disney music. It was also hot and muggy, with no air flow, which made it uncomfortable to stay longer than 15 minutes. We'll be back, and I'll update this review when I see more of the show.

Yelp
quite genuinely one of The best shows, ever. could it be improved by bringing back beloved characters, such as meg and hercules? well absolutely!!!!! but the pure Joy this show brings me.. unmatched. i love to hear the lively crowd - pick up on who's first time it is.. who's singing along because they know it better than.. well.. something they knew very well!!!!!! must Do at Disney. my senior year trip was disney & our group's chaperone (who apparently chaperones often!) said "it gets boring once you've seen it multiple times" sorry???? i will never forget that.. she tried to dim down the excitement for the show i Had already seen multiple times. nice try!!!!!!

Yelp
Fantasmic is one of the greatest live shows in Disney world and Disney land. Between all of the great special effects and the usage of water as screens it is a top tier live show and I would definitely recommend watching it if you are at Disneyworld.

Yelp
I have not been to a Fantasmic show in years. It was available again and I didn't expect much, but boy did the nighttime spectacular knock my socks off! The show is isolated in its own area. The entrance is toward the side of Beauty and the Beast show. It is quite a walk so expect to be on foot for at least 10-15 minutes. There is a large semi-circle amphitheater that surrounds their performance lagoon. Plenty of people can be seated here without issue but if you want to be towards the center I would come earlier. The premise is based on Mickey Mouse falling asleep and dreaming he is a sorcerer's apprentice. As he is mopping, a bunch of large bubbles float toward the sky with displays of movies, past and present, being projected on the water canvas sprays. Then, a few live action scenes are reenacted from Aladdin, Frozen, Lion King, Mulan, and Pocahontas. Afterward, a montage of villains rolls through, with the big ones being the queen from Snow White, as well as a larger-than-life sized Maleficent. Through the thick in thin, Mickey manages to conquer the darkness with his imagination. The final performance has Mickey standing on the top of the mountain making magic with fireworks and lights. Several boats paraded through during the middle of the show as well as at the end. Quite a few characters made an appearance including Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Snow White, the seven dwarves, etc. On the main boat, steamboat Mickey was steering all his passengers! What a fun nod to the classics! It was such an unforgettable thirty-minute experience. The storytelling and variety of visual effects was absolutely captivating. It was an amazing show that was totally worth of our time at the end of a jam-packed day.

Yelp
Fantasmic! show at Disney World is completely different than the one at Disneyland. I finally had a chance to see Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Disney World with my husband during the month of June. We ended up getting a dining package at 50s Prime Time Cafe. It was recommended for us to arrive 45 minutes prior to show start. The show time listed was for 9:00 P.M open, with start time at 9:30. We ended up going at around 8:30 for seating reservations. The nice thing about Fantasmic! is that there is so much bench seating in the outdoor amphitheater! We had reservation seating from the dining package in the middle of the amphitheater. Fantasmic is a water show. They use projected images on the water, too! A lot of sets change throughout the show! Some of Fantasmic consisted of parts of Aladdin, Frozen, and Pocahontas! Unlike Disneyland's Fantasmic! there aren't as many boats with characters until the end of the show! This is one of the best family-friendly shows at Disney World, and it is a must-see if you're visiting Disney Hollywood Studios. It lasts about 29 minutes. You'll see a variety of stunning effects, stunts, and pyrotechnics, and you'll get to listen to some amazing Disney music! This show can get canceled due to the weather, though!

Yelp
The Fantasmic! show happens once a day at 9pm at Hollywood Studios. This is a water show that can seat a ton of people in an amphitheater/bleacher style seating. Some will come here an hour or more beforehand waiting for the show to start but that's not necessary. I'd recommend just coming right before and you'll still get a good seat. This was a great production that included all the characters and even the villains. The water effects, the music, the lasers, and the performers were all wonderful. Other theme parks at Disney World have fireshows to end the night and Hollywood Studios has this show (that also has some fireworks). It's family-friendly and a great way to end the night.

Yelp
Worth waiting to watch at Hollywood Studios. I felt nostalgia while watching the princesses dance. It's a water show with dance performances as well. Recommend getting seats 30-45 min before it starts. They have snacks at the show. I came around July 19/20th and the weather was decent. It was hot at night still but not AS HOT like the day. I was reliving my Disney Princess dreams while watching the show and seeing Mickey as a hero.
google avatar

Melynda S.

Yelp
Second best Disney World nighttime entertainment, only behind Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom. One thing that Fantasmic has wayyyy up on Happily Ever After is the designated bleacher seating. This was so so great as you had an individual seat in the outdoor amphitheater and there was no chance of someone swooping in 10 minutes into the show and blocking your view. I also enjoyed the use of the projected images on water (rather than the castle in HEA). Fantasmic also employs the use of many many characters, which HEA does not offer. If you are visiting Hollywood Studios it is worth skipping that one last short ride time to get a seat for Fantasmic!

Roman M.

Yelp
Great little show only problem is it is a little show of other clips from movies in my opinion not enough live action loved how they made a lot of seats for everyone

Yelp
Dream a fantastic dream! Fantasmic is back and better than ever! I want to keep this spoiler free so I'll just say that it's all that you remembered, but with some needed and awesome updates. The show felt so fresh and familiar all in one. We came opening night so lines were super long and we waited about 2 and a half hours in total before the 8pm show. My guess is demand will lessen as locals see the show, but still be high for awhile as tourists come to Disney World and want to see the show for their first time since the pandemic. The wait regardless is worth it. A few years ago, Hollywood wasn't a full day park and we wound up sitting down early waiting for Fantasmic anyway.

Yelp
FUN ENDING TO A DAY AT HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS Instead of a fireworks show, Hollywood Studios ends the day with Fantasmic, a 1/2 hour show on water featuring projected images, live performances (Aladdin, Mulan, Moana, Frozen princess, Wicked Queen from Snow White), pyrotechnics, lasers, water cannons and a fire-filled lake. At the end of the show, there is a river-boat parade featuring Disney characters. Fantasmic takes place in an amphitheater with bleacher seating that was completely full when we arrived 15 minutes before the first 8 p.m. show on an off-peak Tuesday evening. We left when we could not see anything from the seating set up beyond the back row. Lining up at the entrance 1/2 hour before the second 9:30 show, we were able to secure excellent center seats in the Pocahontas section. If you sit in the front rows, you may get hit by the water cannons and feel the heat during the fire scene. We sat in row J - we only got misted by the water cannons but felt the intense heat when the lake was set on fire. Bring binoculars for better viewing. Unlike the early show with a full house, the late show was only 2/3 full. Avoid the crowds when exiting by waiting 10-15 minutes. The park was closed (no chance for a last minute ride or food) so we were ushered out along an unadorned service road that led to Hollywood Blvd (shops still open). By the time we left the park at 10:30 p.m., the parking lot was empty and there was no traffic leaving the park.

Dan O.

Yelp
The walk in is so far they should have a tram. I can see that there is no waiting to enter and the place is only 1/3 full

Yelp
It's baaack! The show is back in Hollywood Studios . We got a Fantasmic dining package with lunch at Sci fi movie theater and got seats mid section 4 th row dead center. ( not recommended on a cold night as you get sprayed) The show was spectacular. The seating took quite a long time for the 8 pm show which was packed and there were huge issues leaving the show - as those exiting were funneled into a small one row exit to accommodate the 10 pm line up ... We saw several accidents with wheelchair occupants running over people trying to exit in the dark through a narrow path . Warning : If you go to 8 pm show don't try to get into the Star Wars rides after - you will have to trample people to get out.

Yelp
I've had my Disney annual pass for well over a year now, and had not checked out in Fantasmic! until about a week ago. I had only seen it one other time about 10 years ago so I wanted to give it another chance. The show started at 9:30 and I arrived at about 9:25. This was the third week of October, so I was still able to attend, although I had to sit on the far side of the theater about three sections from the end. My view was ok but definitely check to make sure your view is not obstructed by a pole before you sit down. Also, my first seat choice was maybe six rows from the bottom. There is a lot of water mist in that area so I ended up moving to the top and further toward the last section. This is probably a fun show for kids but nothing I needed to see as an adult. They had a lot of graphics project it onto water, singing, dancing, and some stunts (similar to the Indiana Jones stunt show. I would have left early but I didn't want to disrupt people behind me that were filming. If you're on the edge about trying this show, sit toward the top. The view is fine and you can leave easily any time. If you are going to Hollywood studios on a Fantasmic! Night, but don't plan to attend the show, be aware that it increases wait time to Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller coaster at the end of the night. The night I was there they showed Fantasmic! at 8 PM and 930. The park closed at nine. The wait time for Tower of Terror at 8:30 was 125 minutes. I am assuming this was around the time phantasmic let out and people wanted to get one last ride in before leaving. Star Wars land around that same time was pretty dead. Rise of Resistance wait was 35 minutes.

Yelp
I think the best part of the show is before the show. Someone will start the wave and eventually the whole stadium will be doing the wave and applauding. It was so fun. The images project onto water so sometimes it's not as clear. You might get wet because of how high the water has to be for it to portray the images. I wished it showed more recent Disney movies. But the music and the performance is good!!

Yelp
Excellent show! I love the amphitheater they have step up so more people have a better view (unlike Disneyland.) We got fast passes but we arrived just before the show. We still got good seats! Again, thanks to the bleachers/amphitheater set up and thanks to designate areas for fast pass holders. Another way to get a good seat is by doing the dining package. If you eat at certain restaurants, you can get vouchers to Fantasmic for designated seating. The show was excellent! I LOVE Disney. It never gets old. Exiting the amphitheater was faster and easier than expected as well. That's a plus!

Yelp
[533] We have seen this show at Hollywood Studios a few times and it has not disappointed. Love how they have images on water and use of fire effects. They included most of the Disney characters in this show. Great music and work by all the cast members. You can get VIP seating w dinner packages. I suggest it so you can sit directly in the middle. There are a ton of people at this show but it's perfectly organized so you don't feel like it's mobbed when you leave. The show is the last event in the park and then you are directed out the door (smart) We will definitely be back

Yelp
I have missed this show in the past and I was determined to see it this time. It is held in a stadium so that limits the number of viewers unlike Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom which can be seen anywhere you can see the front of the castle. We got there an hour early to secure good seats. The show is a mixture of water, land, music, film projection, pyrotechnics and fireworks. It lasts 25 minutes and is presided over by Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice. You see his dreams and his battle with the villains. Of course Mickey prevails after an epic battle with a snake and dragon and he is joined by all of the well loved Disney characters at the end. I am glad I got to see this show at least once. Unless it was changed up I probably wouldn't need to see it again. When we came out I saw that there was even more fireworks in the sky. I followed them to the front of the Great Movie ride where I saw yet another night time show, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular being projected on the front of the theater. It was very cool with scenes from Star Wars and stirring music. I don't know why Disney ran two shows a the same time when I would have like to see both fully.

Yelp
I'm so happy my husband and I had the opportunity to see Fantasmic while we were in Disney World. It was such a wonderful experience. We had fast passes for it but really you don't need to do that unless your worried you won't get in on time till they fill the seating limit. What made this show such a magical experience was the lighting and effects of each character from Mickey to the Disney princesses, everything was well done. Once you thought you experienced it all, just wait till the river bursts on fire from the dragon in the show. It will cease to amaze you with what Disney can do with props to characters performances. At first I was hesitant to come here since I'm a bigger fan of seeing the fireworks and didn't think this would have it. I guess I was totally wrong, you have to see the show to believe that fireworks actually do get displayed. As well as the laser lights, pyrotechnics and water projections. All my favorite Disney characters danced on the boats from Belle to Ariel each had made the show wonderful to watch. It was also awesome to watch Mickey fight the evil villains through his magical powers. To me Mickey was a hero of the show and growing up I hadn't really seen that until coming here. Since he was just this cute and fun loving cartoon character I grew up with as a child. Next time I revisit Disney I will definitely be back here! I loved the show and think anybody from any age group will like it as well.

Yelp
This is the show of shows to end an already perfect day at Hollywood Studios! This huge, open amphitheater has no problem seating thousands of tourists for a show you just shouldn't miss! Mickey Mouse is master of ceremonies who creates and directs a mesmerizing night time spectacular of fireworks, laser lights, pyrotechnics and water projections. The main stage is a mysterious island surrounded by water where colorful light shows, movie magic and imagery delights the senses. Many famous Walt Disney costumed characters join in on the performance with original movie scores from some of the popular children's fairy tales, as they dance and sing on passing boats throughout the show. While the beginning of the show is supposed to be Mickey Mouse trying to battle with good and evil by using magical powers to fight nightmarish creatures, I had a hard time getting this connection as a basis for the whole show. I guess I'm used to Mickey just being a cute, funny and fun loving cartoon character that I grew up with during my childhood. Not so much a super hero! But getting past my over analyzing, this 30 minute attraction was very entertaining as you get to reminisce about all of your favorite Disney characters - old, new, good and evil! My only personal disappointment was that my camera ran out of memory before this event! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iTbz2R2oCo&t=173s

Yelp
I have to start by saying that I have seen this show before. I was not a Yelper at the time. This review is solely for this visit. The show is amazing when seen from the correct angle. We had Fast Passes for this performance, you can only reserve three past passes per day, and this was a waste of one. Now when you have fast passes you can only show up on the time window you're given. We showed up at 6:30pm (the show starts at 7:00pm. By the time we got there, the amphitheater was almost full. We got seats at the edge on the very last section, towards the bottom (at least) needless to say, we didn't have the best view. The best areas are towards the center. I suggest you save your fast pass for something else and just get there before the allow people to come in and get a good seat that way. I have done it before and I've gotten really good seats. You do have to wait a while though, but it's worth it. We ended up leaving early to see the Star Wars fire works. They are AMAZING!!!!!

Yelp
This nighttime spectacular is, well, fantastic! This show combines water fans with projections, boats with characters, characters on land, fireworks, pyrotechnics, everything! You know Disney means serious business when they built a whole stadium seating area for this show and this show alone. It seats a ton of people, but you still want to arrive at least 30-45min early to snag a great seat. The show revolves around the power of imagination and a battle within Mickey's imagination between good and evil. Guess who wins? Not only does the mouse win, but he has 5 costume changes throughout the show! You will also get to see lots of characters in the shows that aren't in the park for meet and greets usually. I especially love that Pocahontas is featured - there isn't enough of this movie in the parks! There are concession stands and restrooms at the back of the seating area.

Yelp
Packed as usual! Always a great show to watch at the end of your day! I want to live at Disney! This show makes me happy cause we love to sign along! They do need to update it a bit but i basically grew up watching Mickey, Pinocchio, Pocahontas and Jungle Book... So if you didn't know...a fast pass only guarantees you will get into the show...it also shortens your walk uphill. It doesn't guarantee a closer seat. Always try to get there at least an hour early if you don't have a fast pass. Also...if you watch this show...you will miss the Star Wars Fireworks show! Its worth it tho!

Yelp
This show was truly stunning. It was worth staying out super-late with my four year old to see. They did an amazing job with a combination of actors, puppets, projection onto fountains using the water as a screen and also fireworks and waterworks. I'm not really a Disney buff, but if I was, I get the feeling it would have been even better with a mix of pretty much every major Disney movie. The animatronic snake from Aladdin and the dragon maleficent were amazing things that they brought to life as puppets. They sailed boats back and forth including the steamboat from steamboat willie and also three boats showing lovers from the various movies. I think it was my son's favorite part of visiting Disney because it also centered around Mickey Mouse, who somehow was the most important part of things.

Yelp
When I first called Disney World for dinner reservations, I learned of how you can get a dining package and get priority seating for Fantasmic. You can do it for Hollywood And Vine or the Italian restaurant. But with doing the math, it was about $10 more per person for the dining package including the show seating. I didn't think that was worth it. For our group of 4, we would be paying $40 to see Fantasmic which is included in your ticket price of the park. Come to find out, you can get a fast pass for Fantasmic. Since it was afternoon ish by the time I got fast passes, it was one of my only options. Come also to find out, I really didn't need the fast pass. Go to the 7pm show. Get there around 615 or 630, and you will walk right through. If you go to the second show, you will be in line waiting for the first show to come out. There are tons of seats. Either way, you will get a seat. Fantasmic fills all of your senses. You have water, fireworks, music, projected movies, real characters, and fire. You will see Mickey Mouse and the whole gang even the meanies. The show is about a half hour and worth it especially if you have been waiting in line forever for a ride just like we were. Check this show it. It is my second time. I forgot what it was like, and I loved it again along with the finale including the fireworks!

Yelp
Hollywood Studios (Orlando) SUNSET BOULEVARD This was my first time watching the performance. The outdoor theater show was held at the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater on Sunset Boulevard. I never got to see it at Disneyland in California so this is my first experience watching it here in Orlando. It is basically a show of good vs evil and good always wins (duh!). The show included both water and pyrotechnics and possibly can be a little scary for little children. I may be in the 5% where I wasn't wowed by the show. It was good but, sorry, I wasn't too thrilled about the whole thing. We had to check in 30-mins early. The wait seemed forever as people were trying to get situated and waiting for the sun to set. The show was at 9:00p. To get to the venue was a long walk and it was a warm evening which probably contributed to my just "okay" review. I was impressed at first... maybe the first 5 minutes of the show. After that was a bunch of Disney films projected onto water and that was mostly the bulk of it. There were boats that went around with Ariel and Eric in one (The Little Mermaid) and Belle and the Beast In the other. I think we watched up to the John Smith and Pocahontas show scene on the mountain and we left. Metal bleacher seats got uncomfortable. We couldn't imagine exiting the place with everyone else trying to get out through a narrow area. The crowd was massive. Lighting was not the greatest. Not sure what else to say about it. The End. Yelp
An absolute must visit for any Disney fan. The Fantasmic at the California location is a joke compared to this one. There's actual real seating here unlike the other place. It's very long and thank goodness there's seats else I'd get really tired on standing watching the whole thing. All your favorite characters show up and they show a lot of highlights from the popular Disney films with like what they do at California world of colors show. Splash a ton of water and project something on it with various colors everything and fire effects. It's nice that they project it at 3 different sections so everyone in the arena gets a nice viewing angle to enjoy the show. You probably want to get a fastpass to reserve a spot here or you might be risk at not getting a good seat or far away.

Yelp
I LOVE Fantasmic! It's my favourite of the nighttime shows at Walt Disney World. Unlike Wishes (at Magic Kingdom) or Illuminations (at Epcot), both of which I've more or less grown immune to, I take in Fantasmic every single time I happen to be at Hollywood Studios when a show is going on. The show takes places in an outdoor amphitheatre. It's Disney, so be expecting a big show... you know everything they do is big! All set to fabulous Disney music, you'll see laser lights, fireworks, water features, fire, live action, and a boat parade. At times, it's almost a brilliant sensory overload! It's awesome you can actually sit down and watch this nighttime show. No standing in a crowd, fighting for a good spot to watch the action. Once inside the amphitheatre, they have a QSR stand open which sells things like drinks, popcorn, nachos, etc. I recommend grabbing a snack for the show. This is a must-do at Walt Disney World. Don't miss this one!

Yelp
90% of this show is as the name suggests - Fantastic. It is great except for a poorly imagined Pocahontas number showing a settlers vs Indians battle that no one can remember from a relatively unpopular movie. It took us awhile to even recognize it. We thought it was Captain Hook at first. Pretty dark and villainous second half that was a bit harsh but very entertaining. Snake, dragon, music, all great. Wish flares were more dramatic. Lots of fire on the water - lots of heat. Lots of fun. Other than the weird settler song, this show is a must see. See this rather than Rivers of Light at Animal Kingdom.

Yelp
An exciting and enthusiastic show for all ages, were water, lights, fire and players get all along into a nice story among good and evil. However you have to be here about 44 min before it starts as it's gets full very quickly and then you are not allowed to get inside. You can only see it if you are inside this venue, as it is about 10 minute walk from the Hollywood ride

Yelp
If I'm being honest, I loved Fantasmic the first time I saw it! NOT because I thought it was so great, but because my children were younger and to their eyes it was a sight to behold! All of my joy for vacations is born out of my love to see that innocent wonder and amazement on my kids faces as they pointed, giggled and shouted in awe of what they were witnessing. I recently took my grandson on his first train ride @ Six Flags over Georgia. It is a simple ride around the park that gives a brief history lesson of the property, but it's nothing to shout about. Yet it was absolutely thrilling to see how excited he was to ride a train for the first time and how insanely happy the toot of the train whistle made him! By myself I would give it 2.5 stars, but with him it was so much more. Fantasmic has a lot of visual stimulation for children young and old who've never seen a nighttime show like this before. Water based screen for movie projection, explosions, fire, singing, dancing, villains, acrobatics, familiar theme songs, movie clips, and of course Mickey and all his wonderful friends!!! However, now that I've seen this show several times and it no longer holds the interest of my boys (who are now teenagers), it's not the same experience for me. Now it feels outdated. My favorite part of the show is when the characters ride by in the boats dancing to their theme songs. The Beauty and the Beast theme song is on of my favorites and the new release taking it from cartoon to live actors will be on my "best movies of all time" list forever. Outside of that I found myself bored out of my mind and plotting my course out of the theater before the final act when a hoard of people would converge on the exit at once. FINAL THOUGHTS Life is full of ebb and flow. I once loved this show, but now that my children are older and less excited about seeing it, I've lost interest as well. But that's just for today, because I will certainly bring my grandson back here sometime in the future and I am certain his excitement for the show will recharge my review back to a 4-star status. Unfortunately, without any updating, I don't think I would ever rate it as 5 stars. 2017/67

Yelp
A beautiful show and honestly, the second best show in all 4 of the disney parks of epcot, hollywood studios, animal kingdom and magical kingdom. The show was beautiful and captures what it really means to be awed by the lights, fireworks and the beautiful choreography of the show. Highly recommend you book yourself in a good restaurant that gives you access to VIP seating as it sits you right in the middle where you can get a great view of the awesome show. Did I say awesome yet? A MUST SEE as mentioned for anyone making their trek down to Orlando and especially visiting the Disney Parks. This was a show that I would watch all over again if I had a chance and really should not be missed. I know a few people in reviews says that it is getting boring, however, if you are experiencing this for the first time, you will understand the meaning when I say that it really was a magical experience and something that is worth waiting til 9 PM for. I do highly suggest you go 20-30 mins early to get a really good spot, however, I was able to find a spot for two 15 minutes prior to the show and the seating was pretty much only 6-8 rows back which are still really really good seats. A must watch for all Disney lovers or anyone that just wants to enjoy their time in the beautiful world of Disney.

Yelp
THIS PLACE GETS PACKED I came 30 minutes early, which I thought was more then enough time! And the theater was already almost fulled up. (I googled and it sits about 6900 people) During the wait for the show to begin the crowd started the wave back and forth for a while Once over, it takes a really really long time to get out of the park. Also keep in mind that I was there on a low crowd day xD can't imagine what it's like in June or July! Show was amazing though! Best show I have seen since being in Disney :D definitely don't want to

Yelp
I love this show! They put it in its own theater with a lake and everything so that they can do a lot more with it, and seat way more people, than they can in California. I always forget how much I love Mickey until I see him at a parade or a show, or even at the character meet and greets, but watching him perform just makes me feel like a kid again. The seating area is pretty much a stadium and it's huge. There is plenty of seating so don't feel discouraged if you're standing in a long line to get in unless you're visiting the park during peak season. My daughter and I stopped by on a week night and it wasn't very full. Mostly people filled the middle section where they were all sitting close to each other and the sides were empty. FYI you'll get a good view of the show no matter where you sit. We sat on the far left in the first row. The entire show was great as it took us along with Mickey's imagination with water projections, fire, character appearances, and fireworks. Unless you're sitting in the middle section on the stand alone benches closest to the fence then you won't get wet, but you'll definitely feel the heat when they set the lake on fire.

Yelp
One of the best night time shows in all of the Disney Parks. Make sure you go early because you have to wait in line. A lot of fun lights and fireworks and excitement. Definitely go to this if you haven't seen it yet. Mickey and his friends go through another exciting journey. This show truly is Fantasmic!

Yelp
We decided to close our our day at Hollywood Studios at Fantasmic. The show is really good and features Mickey in an epic battle against some classic villains. The spectacle includes fireworks, tons of characters on lit up boats, huge water jets with Disney videos played on them, intense music, the whole 9. Overall, we had a great time here, though I have to say, this attraction is not the greatest for kids under 3. There are some pretty scary moments, and it's not like it's a bad guy appearing for a second. The scary segments actually last for quite a while. My little one really did not appreciate the giant dragon at all, especially when he turned the lake into fire. For anyone over 3 though, it's all pretty cool. I have to mention the awful metal seats they have there. Was anybody else uncomfortable sitting in them? We had a 45 minute wait before the show and my back was absolutely killing me sitting on this monstrosity. It's basically a flat metal plank with zero back support. Total nightmare when you have a kid or two on your lap. All that side, this is definitely a worthwhile attraction, maybe the best one for older kids at Hollywood Studios. Just be sure to get there a bit early to get a good view!

Yelp
I love Fantasmic. It's a great show. But at this point, we have been seeing the same exact show for yearrrrrrssssssss. I think it's time to make some changes to it to keep it interesting for people that return to Disney again and again. It will be just as fresh and entertaining to first timers because it's a great show. If you've never seen it, I highly recommend it. If you haven't been there in a while, nothing has changed. I hope the next time I return to Disney that they've changed it a little bit so we can see something just as awesome but different. If you've never been here, be aware that it does fill up and you will be unable to get in. Even if you have a fast pass, you are not guaranteed entry once it is full. I believe you can get guaranteed entry if you dine at certain restaurants but I'm not sure. The seating in the back on the opposite side of the walkway really stinks so get there early enough to get good seats! There are bathrooms and concession stands inside. It is a lonnnng walk! Be prepared to wait a little bit to get out. Think of trying to leave a stadium after a game...only instead of cars in traffic, it's people!

Yelp
Fantastic show. It's all worth it! The sitting is great as well , as you can actually sit and get a wonderful view of the show. A must if you are in Hollywood Studio. Love, Love it!

Yelp
Beautiful show! Best show in Disney ever I would have to say. Every second there was a different surprise. I would suggest to grab a fast pass for the show to ensure u have a spot (even tho if u don't, its probably still worth going since the theater has many seats!). The water, fire, light show was spectacular and obviously seeing Mickey and friends made it all worth while. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Five stars is not enough for this show. This was an absolutely stunning, amazing show. The special effects, the pyrotechnics, the dancing, the scenes, it was all spectacular. This is a must-see for anyone going to Disney. Wait in line, get in early, get a seat in the front (you may get wet, it's at most a mist). I'm not a Disney fanatic, and I wasn't excited about going to Disney. I went to Disney because my wife wanted to go. She was like a little kid watching this show. The look on her face was worth all the hours of overtime I worked to pay for this trip, and I was most impressed with this show.

Yelp
I first saw this show in Disneyland...in fact it started there in 1992. The show in California takes part in front of Tom Sawyer's Island and I found it kind of hard to see with all of the crowds in front of me. So when I saw that this same show at Hollywood Studios I was really happy to get a seat and enjoy it. But I must say that this show fills up fast. We found that out the hard way. Yes as we were walking into the show on our first day here, when we were informed by an announcement that said the show was full and would only allow standing room only. After a long day at Disney, we looked at each other and said, "Okay we are not going to stand for another 45 minutes before show time!" So we decided to pack it in and head to the hotel. On day 2 we made sure we went in 1:30 hours before show time. I was not going to be denied two days in a row!!! We grabbed our seats and made friends with some of our neighbors and waited. I went to hit the beer line and it took forever. Almost 30 minutes to get beers and popcorn. Dear Disney...I bet you lost $50,000 in sales because of how slow this line moved...with all of the staff this line should have been flying by but it didn't. I finally got back to my family and the beers and popcorn made them forget I was gone for such a long time. There were a few comedians that started warming up the crowd about 20 minutes before the show. They were cute and a little annoying all in the same breath...I am sure if I had more beer they would have been hilarious. This show is a nice mix of giant laser beams, explosions, characters and video projection. The best part is you will get to see a ton of characters, which for any Disney Fan is a huge bonus no matter how old or young you are. Disney also offers some ways to get preferred seating...if you book and eat lunch at The Brown Derby, then you can get a great seat at the show without getting there an hour early. So if you want to there is a way to work around the crowds and get a good seat. We did not do this because a 100 dollar lunch at Disney did not seem like a good option for me to bypass a line!!!

Yelp
To be honest, I was a little pre-occupied with my daughter so the whole story didn't really make sense to me. My husband loved it though.

Yelp
The perfect spectacle to end the day at the park. If at Disney's Hollywood Studios this a must attraction to cap off the day. It's an amazing show that is best seen at night when the sun goes down. Even better, it's included with the price of your admission ticket. I would say try to get seated at the second viewing. Not as crowded the times we have been there and it's night time by then so the special effects and lighting really stand out. Also, there is plenty of seating but try to get there early to score the best spots as it will get crowded. You do feel a bit like cattle entering and exiting the place though. We have done the dinner package deal which guarantees a seat in a select area, but it's really not needed as long as you get there early enough. Summer season to me is more packed than when I was just here in October. You can get beer, popcorn, and snacks during the show but be aware that the concession lines are super slow. While waiting for the show to start a few comedians work to warm up the crowd, and they are just ok. Think "wholesome" family comedy. Once the show starts you are treated to an extravaganza of colored laser beams, explosions, fire, Disney characters, floats on the water, and cool video projection displayed on the water and mist. Pretty much every Disney character you can remember is in this show. It's just a terrific production - the technology. effects, costumes - are just wonderful and if you are a big Disney fan you walk away totally satisfied.

Yelp
This is by far the best show at Disney World! I have seen the show twice and the first time my husband and I got front center seats and the view was fantastic! Now the second time, since they introduced the new fast pass+, it did mess up our plan. I didn't think we needed a fast pass for a show. Well think again. We got to the stadium about 40 min before the show time and it was already full full full. They separate you from fast pass holders at the entrance and if you don't have fast pass, they guide you to the side seats. We were still able to see the show but nothing like the front center. So I strongly advise you to get a fast pass and still go there one hour early to get the best seat. As to the show, they have lots of fireworks, lights on water, and all the major characters on boats at the end of the show. To see all the skits from Disney movies on water was really beautiful. You can see Micky does a lot of actions on stage, so it was way more fun for me than electrical parade where all the characters just ride on vehicles and wave at you. This show is a must and makes Hollywood studio the best of Disney World!

Yelp
As someone who's seen every fireworks show Disney has to offer, including those in California, Fantasmic is DEFINITELY the best in my opinion! The theatrics, the waterworks, and the pyrotechnics come together to create a seriously magical show that you can't find anywhere else. Be sure to fastpass the show if you can, and if you can't, get there at least an hour early to get seats somewhere near the center front to see all the characters as they pass! Don't sit in the first few rows, though, unless you wanna get DRENCHED!

Yelp
Parents of youngsters: THINK TWICE. The fear factor is 10 out of 10 for little ones. Notorious Disney villains come together to kill Mickey in an over-the-top battle of good and evil. Larger-than-life dragons, witches, snakes, and a real lake of fire await you and your family. (Not kidding.) If your children are 6 or under, it's likely that Mickey's nightmare will become yours, too. And it's seemingly endless. It's also very difficult to exit the amphitheater in the dark, so there's no quick escape route. My suggestion: save your money.

Yelp
Fantasmic is a hidden gem of a show at Disney! This show is only in the evening, it is essentially Hollywood Studios nighttime show, instead of fireworks. On busier evenings, they offer two showings. If this is the case, skip the first one and do the second. The actual theatre is located next to Tower of Terror WAYYYYY in the back. I'm talking like a hike to get back there. Once you are back there, the seating is huge! You would never have known that they had so much space back there. They tell you to arrive at least an hour before the show starts and yes it does fill up fast but I think 30-40 minutes is fine. The view is great no matter where you sit, in my opinion. They do offer fastpass for the show but I really think it is a waste unless you have nothing else to pick from. You basically get to go in before the standby line. I would say though that if you have to sit down close and in the dead middle you may want to get a Fastpass. They have a couple of concession stands inside but last time, the line was horrible and not moving. They allow you to bring food or drinks or snacks in with you, so I would just do that. The show itself is a mixture of live characters and projections on water they spray up in the air. I do feel there was more character action a long time ago and it has changed to more of the water. I could be totally wrong but its still good. The music is great, it just makes you want to dance. I do remember the first time I ever saw this, my husband and I got totally soaked because it was windy and it picked up the water spray. But we were in the first row, so be cautious. I think this is a great show and a great way to end your day at Hollywood Studios. It holds tons of people and the music and fireworks are just magical. It always makes me smile!!

Yelp
Holy mother of God! Disney knows how to put on an effing show! seriously, this production made me cry. It was just all the Disney characters that have been present in my life for ever since I can remember in life form, with so much musical and visual stimulation. It is quite overwhelming. Along with the visuals, are natural elements like fire, water, and it is really magical! I do not understand how this production run so smoothly. When I think of all of the technology, costumes, people who need to be in the right place at exactly the right time, plus all of the things I could possibly go wrong with sound systems, lighting, pyrotechnics etc. it really is truly amazing! Make sure to arrive early so that you're able to get a seat. I understand the show is not shown every night, so please check to make sure it is showing when you visit. Restrooms as well as refreshments are available within the theater area. Wow! Unbelievably brilliant production! Do not miss this one!
