The 12 Hottest New Cocktail Bars in DFW

"Sure you can get a beer at this spot but the cocktails are also on point. Order a Filthy Martini, a Fanzo Old Fashioned or a Fanzo 75 (not quite a French 75), or try the Green Goddess (mezcal, cucumber puree, ancho chiles). Enjoying sports doesn’t have to mean drinking like you’re uncouth." - Courtney E. Smith

This place is awesome! AJ and Kumar are fantastic owners. They are very welcoming and have created a great atmosphere. My friend and I went here to watch the Tottenham vs. PSG game. Perfect place to watch a game! I got the Nashville Chicken Sandwich and it was 5/5. Only $10! I highly recommend you check it out.

Our first experience at Fanzo has been fantastic. Our bartender, Sidney, poured the perfect pints, was engaging, and made my wife a perfect Bees Knees. Looking forward to returning.

Tucked away in south Frisco, far from the chaos of the mall, this spot has such a chill vibe. The seating is roomy—tables are spaced so well you’re not awkwardly bumping elbows with strangers just trying to sit down. Part of the place even has a second level, and the bar is a total showstopper when you walk in. The food has this cool Indian/Asian fusion twist (thanks to the owners’ influence), and the happy hour menu has plenty of variety. And I have to shout out Sidney behind the bar—she’s awesome. Super friendly, knows her stuff, and her drinks are seriously next level. There’s also an outdoor covered patio which looks like it’ll be awesome when it’s not 1000000 degrees out

Very disappointing experience for a Friday evening. We got here to get some drinks and dessert. Ordered Bluemoon Beer, Glenlevit double, Spicy Peanuts and Peach Cobbler. Bluemoon - Beer was flat and not chilled enough! Glenlevit - they couldnt find it, my friend had to literally walk to bar and point to it. Spicy Peanuts are not evenly seasoned. Most of the flavors were in the onions and coriander Peach Cobbler - one of the worst peach cobbler we ever had I ordered Coors lite after and the glass was barely full and felt flat. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are looking for good beers and service!

Good: great atmosphere and comfortable seats in south Frisco, area away from madness of the mall. Tables are spaced out and you won’t bump into the people near you when you pull your seat out to sit or get up. Part of the restaurant has a second level. The bar makes a statement as you walk in. Food has a slight fusion Indian/Asian taste, influenced by the owners. Happy hour has a variety of foods. They have an outdoor covered patio area but there are no tables or chairs out yet. Once they can get seating outside, I think this place will definitely increase business. There aren’t many outdoor areas at restaurants in this area.

I’m not sure who gave this place multiple stars. If I could I wouldn’t give it a star! This place was trash. The ribs and wings had the same sauce but the ribs were more salty (Ik strange to me as well). I told the waitress the ribs were salty she said sorry you feel that way. She didn’t try to resolve the problem as I presented. When she gave the check she asked I would like to leave a review for 15% off. I declined but here’s your review.

I recently visited Fanzo Sports Bar and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was electric, especially during the big game! Multiple large screens ensured that no matter where you sat, you had a great view of the action. The sound system was crisp and clear, making the game even more exciting. The staff was attentive and friendly, always making sure our drinks were topped off and we had everything we needed. Speaking of drinks, the selection of beers on tap was impressive, with a variety of local craft brews and classic favorites. The food was another highlight. From the delicious wings to the fried pickles , every dish was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. It’s clear they put effort into offering more than just your standard bar fare. Whether you're there to watch a game or just hang out with friends, Fanzo has something for everyone. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a lively and enjoyable sports bar experience. I'll definitely be back!

The food was good no complaints on taste. But the price to portion is way off to me. 17.00 for 3 small crab cakes and 13.00 for what was the equivalent of a medium fry from McDonald's i get it is truffle frys but there was no visible truffle just the light taste if it as if ita was more of. Truffle flavor as to real truffle. THE WORST PART WAS MY OLD Fashioned. Im sorry but its called a old fashioned which means dont go and reinvent my drink. Neither the orange peel or cherry was mutteled and and no raw sugar at all and i feel i was shorted on the whiskey the dri k was the color of watered down apple juice. Instead of a rich Caramel color. Whuch leads me to belive this was a fantasy cost cutting new age Concoction to over charge for minimal alcohol content. Let me say it one more time Fanzo you dont chnage a drink called an old fashioned its in the name make it the old fashioned way please.

Yelp
Best secret in town. GREAT SERVICE. Filled with STARS FANS with game 7 on the line. There was an entire upstairs that should've been full but it's new and now you KNOW you should go there. The food and food suggestions were excellent. The food and beverages were priced as they should be and it was better food than most "sports bars" I've been to. It's new but it's a MUST. If you find yourself standing and not being able to find a seat at the older establishments then this of this place. Bring everyone! The screens and main screen is perfect for everyone to be able to see. The service was excellent. There is a waitress named SARAH (I may have spelled that wrong) but she knew what you wanted before you could even ask. One of the best waitresses I've seen in the Frisco/Plano/Addison area. Imagine a great atmosphere, not too packed YET with everything you need including a great staff and the mind reading waitress. This sports bar is a must next time you go out to watch the MAVS or STARS fight their way to the Championship. if you are lucky enough you'll get Sarah and be able to enjoy the game with LOCAL SPORTS FANS!

Yelp
I wanted to check this new place out, but before I went I saw there were two reviews - one pretty negative and one great - so I hesitated to spend the time. I'm glad I chose to go. It's a very nice place - great atmosphere. It's comfortable and classy at the same time. Great views of screens from two floors. Service was great - staff is really friendly and service times were on par with expectations. The menu has many good-looking options. We liked what we chose / the food tastes fresh made with good ingredients. The value is okay The cocktails were also super tasty.

Yelp
What a great experience. Stopped in on a whim trying to pass time before so flight, we had a really enjoyable experience. We were seated right away and Sean immediately came over with waters and menus. He made me one of the best margs I've ever had. My Hubs and I enjoyed talking with Sean and the other patrons at the bar. Highly recommend if you're in the area

Yelp
Absolutely the "Hidden Gem" in Frisco! Food is outstanding. Tikka Masala was second to none! The chicken, oh so juicy! Fried cauliflower for an appetizer and the spice and sauces combined...even Gordon Ramsay would be proud of this place. Sports Bar? Absolutely! Televisions everywhere, outstanding service and the seating...whoa...padded and comfortable. Can get crowded, however I like going to a busy place, it's the slow restaurants and bars you gotta think twice about. Headed back again this evening to watch the Stanley Cup finals. No better place! Congratulations on opening the best Sports Bar in Collin county. You have a 5-Star chef in the back

Yelp
Great service. Excellent food. We had the deviled eggs, short rib flatbread and the cheeseburger. Margarita special was delicious. Close to home and we will definitely be back. This place is tucked behind kolache factory on Preston and wade. Big tvs and comfy seating. Get here!

Yelp
I love this place. The decor is amazing. The TVs are gigantic and the food is really tasty. I love the bang bang chicken. It is super super hot and had the cobbler which was delicious.

Yelp
Hidden Gem on Preston. It's literally hidden on Stonebrook & Preston. Awesome XL TV's.

Yelp
Went with a couple of friends to catch Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Unfortunately, we were unaware that the restaurant had no air conditioning, making it uncomfortably hot inside. We were seated around 7:15 PM, but we didn't see a waitress until 7:45 PM--30 minutes without drinks or service. This should have been our sign to leave, but we decided to give it a try. It took another 10 minutes to get 2 draft beers. We ordered the 8 wings, which were $18 and didn't come with fries. The side of fries was an additional $7, so we ended up paying $25 for 8 wings and fries--and they were just okay. I would've rather gone to Wingstop or Buffalo Wild Wings. To make matters worse, the menu seemed really random and didn't have a coherent theme, making it hard to choose anything appealing. Service was horrible, although the young lady in training was trying her best and did check on us, so thank you to her. However, overall, it was the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. We were all drenched in sweat, as it was cooler outside than inside. I will not be returning to this place.

Yelp
The negative reviews are insane because this is the best restaurant all around I've been to in years and I'm picky AF

Yelp
Come and taste the Bang Bang Chicken. What a unique dish from Chef Vijay Sadhu & the creators of Fanzo. Enjoy the biggest events on their giant screens with plush seating. This place is 2 stories of relaxation. Don't walk, hurry.

Yelp
Attended the grand opening of the restaurant with two gal pals. The restaurant decor and atmosphere is awesome. Huge big screen tv to watch games! Beautiful bar, the upstairs has a pretty cool man cave feel to it. Great service, our server checked in on us regularly throughout our visit, our drinks were always full and she was very friendly. We ordered and tried a number of items off the menu: bang bang chicken, popcorn shrimp, chicken lollipops, fried cauliflower, corn fritters, and the roasted veggie flatbread. The flavors were unbelievable, so tasty and fresh! We tried a few of the cocktails too and they were delicious too! We will definitely be back soon and take photos next time! Highly recommend for delicious food, great atmosphere and catching a game or two!

Yelp
We went for NFL Draft Night. We walked into the restaurant and many other individuals had jerseys on, so we were excited. To our surprise they didn't have the volume on for the draft and had a DJ playing for a "private event". Enough people must've complained, because eventually they started playing the draft audio. The food was very bad. After seeing Vijay on Food Network, I was very excited, but I would've rather eaten at Buffalo Wild Wings. I don't typically say this, but it was BAD. The flatbread was undercooked, the wings were very chewy, the chicken lollipops were decent, and the few other apps we had were forgettable. Getting the bill is what prompted me to write this review. When we were ready to leave, the itemized receipt was ripped off and there was just a small place to sign. I asked the waitress the reason and she said, "we need the itemized receipt for our business records". I asked to see the receipt because it seemed high and I wasn't able to get it. I called her back over and asked if a tip was already added and she said, "oh yeah I forgot to mention that" Cool idea, but unfortunately will be out of business like most of the other sub par restaurants around here.

Yelp
Impeccable atmosphere! This sports bar knows how to set the mood for game nights with its vibrant energy and enthusiastic crowd. While the food may not have knocked my socks off, it still hit the spot and complemented the lively ambiance. We ordered the chicken lollipops, crab cakes, a cheeseburger, and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The food could have used a bit more salt, but the fantastic service and buzzing atmosphere more than make up for it. A solid four stars for a place that nails the vibe!

Yelp
Great place to watch sports!! Food was wonderful and service was spot on!! Gets loud when Dallas teams play well!!!

Matthew B.

Yelp
Service is good although they are still learning as they just opened. Other than that they will need to change or struggle. They claim to be a celebrity chef inspired high end sports bar. They are not. The customer focus is missing. The prices are expensive for alcohol. Think high end steakhouse prices with kitchen rules more like McDonalds. I do not believe they will be around long without changing their ways. There are way too many other choices for a fraction of the price within minutes of this location.

Yelp
Shon is awesome behind the bar! Great service and totally recommend the wedge salad and bang bang chicken!! Had fun with my bestie!! Next gno is here!!

Yelp
Fantastic place to catch a game, food and drinks! Large tv's throughout so every seat gets a view.

Max D.

Yelp
Love this place! Good food, drinks, and atmosphere. We sat with Kandi and the service was amazing, be sure to ask for her if she's there. Will definitely be coming back

Erik W.

Yelp
We received excellent, personable service from the moment we walked in. Our waitress was a college student who had moved here about a year ago from South Africa. She took the time to really explain the drinks and food on the menu, answer all of our questions, and even gave us samples so that we could find out what we liked! The food is different in a good way. It's not the same old bar food, it's elevated. We had the corn fritters and the chicken lollipops. They were both delicious. The massive tv behind the bar made for great viewing of the game. Will be back soon!

Summer R.

Yelp
The service and ambiance are wonderful here. I encourage people to come here to see watch events. The screens are fantastic and the staff is so accommodating. The food was wonderful. I personally would love to have a couple more gluten free options, but would not knock them for this. I'm happy to have a nice sports bar in the area.

Yelp
Alyssa, Chloe and Nick are awesome! Very attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back!
