Restaurant Closings in the San Francisco Bay Area | Eater SF

"A 100‑year‑old Chinatown restaurant and one of the neighborhood’s last large banquet halls, Far East Café served largely unchanged American Chinese and Cantonese dishes for a century; owner Bill Lee said he loved the cafe but could not afford to keep it open without revenue or adequate city resources." - Eve Batey

Google
Honest review. This place had good reviews. But has pros and cons(my personal view). Pros Great lunch special prices!($12) Large portions Rice, soup plus chow mein Clean location Nice ac Good service Cons The soup was good The kung Pao chicken was a bit bland for my taste. The chow mein was a bit dry probably from rewarming it. Not a fan. Overall it was good since the price counters the cons substantially. They have other plates that may be better. Will update when visiting again.

My friend introduced my family to this restaurant, and we’ve been hooked ever since! They serve authentic and delicious Chinese food with rich flavors and traditional touches. My kids absolutely love the crispy flounder, and the Cantonese-style ‘old fire soup’ is incredibly flavorful. Their desserts are also a treat! The service is excellent—waiters and waitresses are friendly, attentive, and quick. A fantastic spot for an authentic Chinese dining experience!

My church just had a Valentine party at this place and it was AWESOME! The food was good and the service was great. The owner went out their way to serve us. They do have private room to host the party up to 70 people. The place supposed to close at 9:30PM but we extended until 10:30PM and they were willing to wait for us. Overall, the workers there are friendly and the service was great. Highly recommended to those who want to host a party. I will come back for sure.

Google
A must go restaurant in Sacramento! I’ve been coming here since I was small and the food is always delicious. The people are also wonderful. It has great lunch specials, but I love dinner here too. I recommend the Beef and Tofu for a mild and delicious dish. The juuk (congee) is perfect for anyone with a cold too, so I recommend that highly (my favorite is with dried scallop).

Google
I had to visit this restaurant. It used to be my favorite back from 1986 to 1988 when I attended the local city college. It doubled in size, still has the old school image from 35plus years ago. The menu contained all my favorites from way back then. The flavors are identical to what my taste buds told me. You must visit if in south Sacramento area looking for a decent Chinese food

Love this place! Our group of friends enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Far East. Serving is plenty. Food is always delicious. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Cantonese cuisine. Will be back here!

Google
Family style chinese food is the best way to enjoy Chinese food. This could feed five or six people plus dessert. Everything tasted really good. I always come here when I visit family. The fried chicken is amazing, always a plus.

Far East is the type of restaurant that is a family go-to for generations. It's been mine for 40+ years. Tonight I went in as a party of five - 4 adults & 1 very messy, very cute one year old (who is demanding to eat on his own & we are soooo sorry for the mess he made 😬) Everything about the restaurant, including the staff, is authentic, nothing fancy, always just right. We ordered: 2 appetizers & 4 dishes to share. The bill, including tip, was right around $100. Our waiter was great. I didn't get his name, but he was friendly & efficient. He brought the kiddo his own small ice water and toddler sectioned type plate which I don't think I've ever experienced in a restaurant. It just felt special. We didn't wait long after we ordered before the food arrived. As always, it was hot, the portions were generous & there were no complaints. A Few Recommended Dishes: *Ginger Beef *Steamed Pork w/Salted Fish (Hom Yee Yook) *Chicken Broccoli *Tofu w/Bok Choy and/or BBQ Pork

Yelp
This is a family restaurant located on Freeport blvd . Plenty of large tables for families dinner . The restaurant is divided into 3 sections for private party and walk in customers. Tonight there was a birthday party and I watched all the delicious dishes being delivered to the party room : lobster , crabs , steamed fish , etc . We truer their signature soy sauce chicken. The meat is tender and flavored with rose wine and soy sauce. We ordered the garlic stir fry snow pea sprouts 蒜茸豆苖; Golden egg yolk with pumpkin and mushrooms 黃金南瓜茶樹菇;garlic steamed shrimp over cellophane noodles 蒜茸粉蒸蝦。 The gave us free slow cooking soup with pork , beans and chicken . All the dishes are super delicious, full of umami ,,tender and cooked to perfection! Would like to come back to try other menu items . The restroom is ok and can be improved to be better . That s why I take off one star .

Yelp
I'm staying with a friend for the weekend in Sacramento and we decided to gat some Chinese food to go, cause we really didn't feel like getting all dressed to go out. She's Chinese and said she knew of a good Chinese place nearby, so I said sure, you do the ordering. So she gets on the phone and orders, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Salted fish with chicken fried rice ( I never had this before), pan fried tomato beef chow mien and some pot stickers. That was a lot for just the two of us, but I'm paying, since I'm the guest in her house. We head over there and the food is ready just as we arrive. We get back and replat most of the food, cause who wants to get nice food out of a box! The pictures look better too! The pot stickers we had first cause they cool off fast. The Salty fish fried rice with chicken was interesting, I never had a flavor like that before, but I liked it! The honey walnut shrimp were very good, not all thick breading and gloppy sauce like some places. I really liked the tomato beef pan fried noodles, I guess it's call Hong Kong style. We had lots leftover, but I guess that's what Chinese food is good for!

Yelp
Pretty solid Chinese comfort food! Been coming here for many years with the family, never lets us down. Dishes come out fresh, flavorful, and hot! My favorite is the seafood soup, and their fish and tofu. Huge portions, so it's very sharable. The restaurant is actually pretty large, they have 3 seperate dining rooms, and can accommodate big parties. We have a large family, so we always sit in the last room. We always request the same server, he always takes care of our family.

Yelp
This was a restaurant my family frequent quite often as I was growing up. Overall, the food was quite tasty. We came on a weekday for an early dinner. The food is quite authentic and with decent portion sizes. The dishes were all prepared quickly and ingredients were fresh. I am all about not soggy vegetables and these were on point. Service was very quick -- I think it helped that our family is acquainted with the staff here. The inside is clean and neat. There are a few parking spaces out front. They are located at the end of a strip mall on Freeport which can be quite a busy road. I enjoyed our meal here. Would recommend!

Teresa F.

Yelp
The service was good, food was really good The bathroom had not been clean for a very long time. It makes me worry that the kitchen maybe dirty also. Therfore, we will not be coming back here to eat.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was tasteless. That day we were celebrating my sons, remembering his passing away. That was very disappointing

Yelp
After hearing from friends that Far East brought on a popular Master Chef from the Sacto area, the fam decided to revisit our fave Chinese restaurant after being away for weeks. The new chef's touch was quite noticeable...flavorful and new items on the menu. The following were new items that came out hot and fresh... ~Fook Keen fried vermicelli (better than competitor down the street) ~Zucchini w/ground pork (veggies fresh)! Old school w/noticeable improvements: ~ngow nam clay pot (tender beef & tendons w/fresh, perfectly cooked daikon ~honey walnut prawns (shrimp had snap to It not overloaded with mayo -pea sprouts w/garlic sauce (fresh & plenty) ~soy sauce chicken; no improvement needed ~egg plant w/pork clay pot (cooked just right, not too mushy or oily like other places. Slight kick to it but nothing to cry about. ~salt and pepper fish filets; tasty and not oily There were other new items shown on the TV monitor (whole crab with DF pumpkin, two egg/fried scallop fried rice, and numerous other dishes we will try next time). Service is always top notch here; Leslie and Lisa were attentive and friendly as always, along with the owner Susan. It's always a plus when she stops by not to just say "hi" but to also ask about family and such. You can tell she has a great rapport with customers (acknowledging each other and calling each other on a first name basis). Love the cleanliness of the establishment, from floors to wall (considering the restaurant has been around for decades). If you want a good old fashioned Chinese meal for lunch or dinner, family dinner or banquet for 100+, go visit the "new and improved" Far East if you haven't done so yet!

Yelp
I used to come here all the time, some 30 years ago, when Uncle Sammy used to own this place. Every time anyone walked in, Uncle Sammy would greet them loudly and usually by name. The food was very authentic, cheap, and homey. I have not been back here for about 20 years... things have changed. I think the food is still about the same but my pallet has changed due to all the competition around. Service was good, very attentive. Prices are reasonable. The dried fried shrimp was my favorite, as well as the grass jelly dessert. They really need to do something about their booths. I went with a friend and cousin and none of us are that big, but, even we were not that comfortable. As we were sitting there, we saw other people struggle to get in and out of the booth or requested to be seated elsewhere. There is not enough space between the seat and the table. They need to remove one booth in order to spread the other booths out more.

Yelp
I've eaten here numerous times but finally got around to writing a review. I stopped by at lunchtime and ordered the lunch specials: chicken with green beans and Mongolian beef. Each lunch special comes with chow mein, steamed rice, and a small bowl of egg drop soup. The restaurant was getting busy, but the servers were quick and provided excellent customer service. There's plenty of seating, so even during the lunch rush, it didn't feel overcrowded. As for the food, my chicken with green beans lacked flavor, and the chow mein was a bit too salty for my taste this time. However, on other occasions, the food has been better, so I'm chalking this up to an off day. I also ordered the duck over rice and BBQ pork over rice to-go, and both were delicious, highly recommend them those for lunch special! One issue I have to mention, though, is that a customer seated behind me had an extremely strong body odor, which made it difficult to enjoy my meal. I'm usually pretty empathetic and not easily bothered, but it was overwhelming. While this isn't the restaurant's fault, it did affect my overall experience. Overall, Far East Cafe is a solid spot, especially for takeout. I'll give it another try.

Yelp
Far East Cafe has been around for YEARS. I have never had a bad meal here...always tasty and piping HOT. I came for dinner after a quick 9 holes at William Land Park. It was early for dinner so they were not busy at all. I was told to sit anywhere . Menu and glass of water was immediately provided. I ordered the West Lake beef soup and curry beef stew over rice. Like I mentioned earlier...tasty and nice n HOT. It was a lot of food for 1 person...next night's dinner While enjoying my meal, noticed they do lots of to go orders All in All a GREAT experience. Will be back

Yelp
Best Chinese food I've had in Sac! Nothing is overly greasy, had the 218 family dinner with ample portions and - wide variety of tasty dishes. Good mix of meat and veggie dishes. The soy sauce chicken was my favorite-better than Tealicious across the street. Several other families were there too having larger Sunday family lunch.

D M.

Yelp
Very good food and average pricing. Service is poor at best. Waiters and waitresses have no clue about service. They take your order and bring your order. They don't ask how is your good or check to see if you need drinks or refills. You need to ask for your check. Lazy staff.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't see any health department scores listed, so yelp suggested I call and ask the restaurant what their score was the lady that answered the phone said why do you wanna know I find that disturbing that should be listed the Far East café has been there for many years last time I went unfortunately I saw roaches.... I can't eat at a place that has visible bugs. Please have the health department list any violations so people like me can see if this is a place. I want to frequent.

Yelp
Great family owned independent restaurant! We have lived in the neighborhood a while and conveniently just moved down the street! My mom brought some over for lunch and since then I've got my dad to go and my in-laws! Huge portions! Everybody loves it, perfect for sharing. Lots of vegetables which is one of my favorite things about the place. So far I've tried the vegetable chow mein, vegetable fried rice, eggplant with garlic sauce, and soft tofu with vegetables. I recommend everything! I really like the tofu with vegetables, don't forget your protein! I'm lucky I live so close. If you're in the area, or if you're not, try it out! Friendly staff. Food is usually ready in about 15 minutes. Easy peasy! (Pictures I attached I already took out two portions of each containers)

Yelp
My family and I love the food here and it's our top choice of Chinese restaurant. Recently they changed the chef and the way chef cook is not too oily and salty. The staff are friendly and we have become friends over the years. The place has many tables and bar area.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch. Had the green bean & beef lunch special! So much food for a great price. The green beans were crisp and beef was tender. I appreciated the freshness of food! Thank you, will be back!

Yelp
Delicious Cantonese food and new items on their menu. I always look forward to their meals because it's comforting.

Yelp
The service was very good! Waitress was very friendly and kept checking up on us. Food was overall very good and flavorful. The only thing that was missing flavor was the stir fry vegetables. Everything else was good. We had 4 people and left very full and had food to take home. They also served complimentary soup and dessert at the beginning and end of the meal. Definitely will return!
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious old school Cantonese style cooking! Being from the Bay Area and eating all my life this place met my expectations. Had the set dinner #C. Steamed fish, soy sauce chicken and salt and pepper spare ribs were my favorite. Good flavor and friendly helpful service. Older decor but clean and well kept. Would definitely come back again!

Yelp
This is restaurant is the closest chinese restaurant to my house and I dine here quite frequently. Service is always good, prices competitive and the food is almost always fresh, hot and delicious. On my most recent visit was craving some hot soup so got the beef stew won ton soup. It was filling and broth not too salty. Definitely satisfying. I'll be back soon I'm sure.

Yelp
I remember our last sit down meal here was September of 2005 bc we used to frequent here quite regularly with my BIL & his wife. In the meantime my BIL had passed on that following month. We don't really eat Chinese food all that much even though my wife is Chinese American. Fast forward earlier this month we had a Japanese family event here unbeknownst to my sister & BIL they chose CNY 2024 day to gather. Yes the restaurant was packed even at lunchtime! We sat in their third event room furtherest away from the front door. It was a convenient private room for us. We enjoyed a ten course delightful filling meal with soup, seafood & veggies, Peking ribs & salt & pepper ribs, walnut shrimp, crab, chicken & noodles, bok choy & mushrooms, salt and pepper fish & beef dishes. We were very impressed with their service & food was truly authentic. Not oily at all & dishes were of a very generous serving. There was so much food for our table of six that they had to go in to go cartons & boxes for other family members who couldn't attend. I'm sure we would return now when we get an urge for Chinese food even for food to go! I guess during those 20 years in between they had change of ownership but it still was going strong here! Plan accordingly! I could have dock off one star for the one person restroom but hey don't wait if it's urgent. We won't hesitate next time especially for that favorite walnut shrimp dish! YUM!

Yelp
Service was fast. Had the salt and pepper pork chops, Brisket and Ho Fun Noodles soup, and the soy sauce chow mein. Everything was very tasty. The portions were more than we could eat had to take home for late night. Will go back.

Yelp
Far East is one of our go to Chinese restaurants for take out. We dined in recently and was seated at a booth. We enjoyed salt and pepper ribs, green beans, chicken wings, fried rice and a clay pot. Food came quickly and everything was delicious as expected. We even had some leftovers to go home with. When you dine in, they serve complimentary soup to start and dessert (they have herbal jelly). Staff was attentive. We'll be back again soon.

Yelp
Far East Cafe has been a popular Chinese food establishment, in the South Sacramento area, for over 40 years. I remember frequenting this restaurant when was a kid. It was good then, but especially good NOW. The family heard that the restaurant hired a new cook, and we wanted to see, for ourselves, if there was a noticeable difference, either good or bad. In my opinion (of Chinese nationality) the change is definitely GOOD! The dishes possess generous portions, and are VERY tasty. The service was excellent, as well! The dishes, that we ordered, came out Hot and Fast. The waitresses were both, Attentive and Friendly. The Family came to this restaurant many times in the past, but we will be coming more often, especially now!.

Yelp
third update: I really really wanted to love this place. They offered a family style dinner that i had to experience. For $46.95, diners can order 3 unique items from a select menu of 32 entrees. this family style special also comes with a house soup and dessert- i will describe each item below: 1) house soup: made from the essence of chicken and perhaps pork bones with chunks of winter melon and carrots. unfortunately, the soup had little flavor and tasted a bit watered down. very basic. had better. 1.5/5 rating 2) chinese beef stew w/ daikon hot pot: a very traditional dish which i use to measure the skills and deft of a restaurants chefs. unfortunately this entree did not measure up. The pieces of beef and tendons were hard and tough- needed to be braised longer. It also lacked any umami flavor and had a very strong "wok hay" essence which one would want with a stir fry dish but this dish is suppose to be slowly braised. It also contained a large amount of oil...as if the chef decided to stir fry this dish instead of a slow braise. blah. Word to the wise- don't order this dish unless your waiter can confirm this entree was prepared properly. 1/5 score. 3) Braised Rock cod hot pot: this entree contained perfectly prepared pieces of fish, tender pieces of chicken and fried tofu. But it also only had a slight umami flavor but was better than the chinese beef stew hot pot. i would give it a 2.5/5 rating-just ok 4) Salt and Pepper Spareribs: large plate of fried pork pieces that lacked any spice. but the pieces were not oily at all. 2.75/5 decent rating 5) dessert: house dessert was a warm bowl of semi sweet bean soup.3/5 rating 6) plain white rice was extra. With the cost of rice going up, this has been the norm with other Chinese restaurants. 7) we also added another dish to our meal: Chinese broccoli w/chicken in white sauce: a very huge entree. everything was prepared decently but i didn't taste any garlic. just onions. but it was decent. 3.5/5 rating Would i return? Perhaps one more time...but should I try 3 of the other 32 entrees offered or should i just stick with their salted dried fish/chicken fried rice and Jai only -which i thought were very good: This place has potential: my 2 cents below 1) please braise your chinese beef stew longer and consider adding more chu hou paste and reduce the amount oil when heating/stir frying this entree up 2) rock cod hot pot: needs more umami flavor 3) salt and pepper spareribs: please add more salt and jalapeños/peppers/onion aromatics to bring out the flavor 4) chicken w/gai lon: consider adding garlic and salt to this dish

Yelp
The service is good. They are polite and helpful. The restaurant can feel cramped if a lot of people are there, but it's clean. I found the food delicious. I had the fried rice, honey walnut shrimps, soup, and fish. I will be coming back to try their other items.

Yelp
07/27/2024 at 05:25 PM Server: Group Effort FOOD & DRINKS I love the BBQ Pork appetizer, they do their BBQ port just right! Had the Salt and Pepper Shrimp (Without head and shell). Delicious! I wish there were more peppers, I like the spice. For those who like the shrimp whole, that is the default. Without the head and shell the shrimp are breaded, with the head and shell the shrimp are not breaded. Lastly I ordered the Beef Chop Suey. I used to have chop suey as a kid and have recently rediscovered it and currently prefer it over chow mein. Most Chinese restaurants don't have it listed on their menu. Luckily for me, Far East Cafe does! SERVICE As always, fantastic! They don't waste any time in helping with drinks and order selections. DECOR Clean and tidy with items one would expect to find in a Chinese restaurant that is well established (been here for many years). It is affordable, delicious and is always busy. CLEANLINESS Very clean, never had an issue. LOCATION Near Land Park in a very clean and accessible location. PRICE Dishes range in price from $10.95 to $22.95. There is only one dish at that higher price. Most of the entree dishes are between $11.50 to $15.95. They offer some group meals that include a variety of items and are priced for one, two, three and four or more. For each person added after the fourth it would add $15.95 per person. As the number of people are added the number and variety of dishes increases too. OVERALL EXPERIENCE If you are looking for a great Chinese meal that is affordable and delicious in a clean environment, the Far East Cafe is for you! Bonus, they are open seven days a week.

Yelp
My favorite, scrambled egg with bbq pork over rice. Have been eating this for thirty years! Best pot stickers ever!

Yelp
Been coming here for years but have heard they had a change in chef. Their servers have always been and continue to be friendly and efficient. Menu looks very similar with a few extra specials. Came in for lunch and got the congee meal that came with choice of veggie (gailan, lettuce, and a few others I forget), any congee, and any noodle option off their menu. Generous portion sizes for all dishes and the beef stew chow fun is my favorite. I noticed later they have a lunch special menu as well which we may try next time!

Gerry W.

Yelp
Delicious food with very decent portions on the daily lunch special including a bowl of soup. The servers were super friendly. The ambience is very suitable for family gatherings.

Terry W.

Yelp
I ordered seafood chow fun from the Far East Cafe and ate about half of it. Ordinarily a silky smooth broad noodle, the noodle in this dish was dry, firm and stuck together leaving an unpleasant powdery aftertaste. The shrimp, calamari, scallops and a processed half globe of fish product were overcooked and tough. The fish was okay. The bok choi was cooked ok, but the head was hacked and tossed into the wok in big chunks rather than appearing as separated leaves. The dish begged for soy sauce. It was the worst I ever had. Far East was once a nice neighborhood cafe. The owner retired.

Yelp
This is is my pick for Chinese food . They do a great job whether it's one table or a party of 40. The food is always on par and the service is excellent .

Yelp
Weekend dinner is always packed with people. The food is great, the service is great and they have plastic plates for the kids.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Sacramento Area for Cantonese Style food. They just hired a well known chef in the area and the food is even better. Great place to have a quick lunch, family meal, a special celebration, or even book their private room for parties. They have added some dishes due to the new chef. Now I don't have to go all the way out to Florin area for some of these dishes. If you haven't visited Far East lately come out and give it a try again. If you are a regular you will enjoy trying the newly added dishes.

Yelp
Far East Cafe ... Great food, service, and clean! Dine in order includes soup of the day. Checked out specials for take out meals to beat cooking dinner with this week's triple digit temperatures.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in the town. I have heard they hired a new chef. Stop by to check it out. The food we had ordered was so tasty and yummy. And the service was very good and the server was extremely friendly. I really enjoyed my meal, I highly recommend this restaurant! .

Yelp
Foods are so delicious. Good service. They also have party room with karaoke. We will come again

Yelp
We reserved a private room for our banquet on Valentine's day. They were very accommodating and let us in early to decorate and set up the room. This room can accommodate up to 7-8 tables I believe. Service was quick, food was great, nice ambience. We especially love the house special chicken with soy sauce among many other great dishes. We stayed a little over their closing hour but they didn't rush us at all. Very nice experience !

Yelp
Love Far East Cafe over on Freeport Blvd! Have been coming here for 20+ years. Excellent food, nice and friendly staff, clean establishment. There is parking in the front and back of the restaurant. The roasted duck is one of my favorite items. Dessert here has been delightful the last time I stopped by. I tried the red bean dessert soup and the black jelly dessert. Very light and not too sweet.

Yelp
Our go-to family restaurant. We come here for lunch and dinner, but mostly dinner. It's located in a small plaza, so parking usually is ok unless you or people have an event. The staff are really nice and they're very accommodating. They have expanded 3 times, so if you need to have an event, party, or a small wedding this is the place to go! The food is consistent and tasty. As a Chinese family, we almost always order the family set whether it's the smallest meal or the largest, depending on our party. Our favorites/go-to are the following: Salted pepper shrimp - Almost always on point with the taste and the crispiness of the shrimp. Love all the stir-fried chili and green onions, makes the shrimp that much more tasty. There are a few times were it wasn't up to par - too much breading or it wasn't crispy enough. Deep fried sole - This is a must! We have the sauce on the side, so we can keep the crispiness of the sole. It's just good! Don't know what else to say! Even better when the sole have eggs =) Soy sauce chicken - this is a toss up for me. My family loves it most of the time, but there are days were it's just doesn't taste fresh. I'm 50/50 with this dish, but when it's done right and it's not cold - it's yummy. Honey Walnut Shrimp - it's my childhood go-to dish, but like the soy sauce chicken it's 50/50. It's hit and miss. Sometimes the walnut is stale and it doesn't sit right. The shrimp however, is nicely battered lightly so it can grab onto the sauce. We've had many other dishes before, but the above are our go-to's and the taste is consistent. Overall, we know they know that we'll always come back! Depending on the day, they have oranges as dessert or they have the red bean dessert soup! Love the latter, could have like 5 bowls of it!

Yelp
One of the best Chinese restaurants in the Sac area. The dishes are always hot and delicious, portions are plenty family style and prices are fair-depending on what seafood you order. The service is fantastic and the staff are always friendly. Only issue is parking, the restaurant is in an Asian type strip mall like and sometimes parking can be difficult because there are other stores there too. There is limited parking in the back, but I don't like to park in the back.

Yelp
We eat here every 3 weeks on a regular trip to Sacramento from the Bay Area. Food is always hot, delicious and authentic (my wife is Asian). You may have to ask for the special menu, but they offer 3 large dishes for $46.95. Also for every $40 spent you can get an appetizer for $4.99. On this visit we had Salt n Pepper Spareribs, Eggplant Tofu hot pot, scrambled eggs shrimp, and fried chicken wings for the appetizer. Meal includes soup of the day.

Yelp
You want authentic Chinese food for a great price? Far East Cafe has you covered. Their food is fresh, hot, delicious and healthy. For a family of 4, we order 3 main dishes and rice, totaling $50-$60. Very fair in price. Waiters are pleasant and always happy to provide recommendations. Every dish we've had was good so you really can't go wrong.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my friend. He says he comes here a lot and it's always busy. It was almost 1 and it was pretty packed on a weekday. We were able to get a table up front. They have large tables in the back. The places is divided into two dinning areas and the large tables are to the right when you enter. We were seated to the left with most of the other smaller groups. I ordered the house chow mien which was Hong Kong style. It was good.

Yelp
Neighborhood staple serving authentic Cantonese fare. My family has been coming here for decades. You'll see both Chinese and non-Chinese diners. They have booths and counter dining for small parties and another section for large groups. We got the 3 dish special for $46.95. They also have a deal where if you spend over $40 you can get half a soy sauce chicken or half a roast duck for $9.99. Everything was delicious and our server was friendly. We always come back!

Yelp
Authentic Chinese food that tastes great, and would suit the Traditional Chinese as well as Americans. Service is quite quick unless they've large parties
