Far from Paradise Cafe

When it was "pineapples" i loved getting dole whips tho even it had odd hours and was closed alot. Its new incarnation as "paradise cafe" dropped the dole whips hence new name. It had a grand opening and........ then rarely open to never open. Seems like the new business format was not sustainable except for some catering that was posted on a sign for awhile on front door. Sad....i miss the dole whips. Whoever is running business should at least address the issue with a note on front door when it will or not reopen. Only thing posted on door has been a " no money kept on site" sign.

I will update this when I can figure out when this place is open and we can actually buy something. There are no posted hours. The hours listed on Google are not correct. They don't have any hours posted so how are customers supposed to know when to patronize the business? Hard to say, one can only guess. I'm standing at the entrance on a Monday 1/29/24 at 3:40 and it's closed, doesn't look like anyone has been here for a long time already. Hours listed here are open until 5:30p. We drove straight from Mountain View to get here in time.

The shaved ice is hugeee! Tastes just like ones from Hawaii! Malasada filling is very generous

Amazing beignet. They were out of nutella and ordered 3 and I got 6 with a nice sweet message. Wahoo this was amazing. Will need to come by someday

i think this place is a great start when it comes to a cafe and paying homage to hawaiian vibes and sweets but i think there’s a lot to be desired from this cafe. there’s only one staff and they were on the slow paced side, though i can appreciate them taking the time to make the shaved ice and i look forward to see more items or offerings added to their menu because the menu is really really limited. the shaved ice was kinda underwhelming for the price, i believe i paid $10 or more. serving of ice is good but mochi was $1.50 extra and i only got like 6 pieces and they were pretty tough, while the flavoring was really artificial and didn’t really taste like really fruits. the snow cap aka condensed milk was also not enough so it was just a lot of artificial flavoring. the partnership with ocean malasadas is a great start and i am in loveeee with their malasadas. it’s not too sweet, plentiful filling, and great textures, like the sugar adds amazing texture but doesn’t make the pastry sweeter. i will definitely return for their malasadas, specifically their lilikoi flavor but will pass on the shaved ice.

Their plain malasadas are so so good. Perfectly coated in sugar and perfectly fluffy and fried dough. I used them to make an ice cream sandwich and I was transported to paradise.

4 coconut filled buns. I could hear the microwave door closing at least 4 times. He put them in the micro wave and when I got them they were shriveled up. Weak as hell. I threw them away. Your soon to go out of business. HOPE YOU DO!!!!

Donuts would be better if they were warm. Shaved ice was great
