Google
Food was great (pizzas, salads simple but very well done), ciders were very very good and the atmosphere was amazing with a beautiful view and they have live music quite often.

Google
The place is nice especially for big groups, there is a lot of space in the warehouse. We only had drinks and the ciders are good. I liked the Nu Dry and the guava one, but tasted too still at this place not gaseous at all). Similar to when you open a can and leave it there for a while (-1). The location is a little inconvenient to get too as well for people without cars. Nothing around it.

Google
This is a wonderful setting with delicious cider! There are wineries co-located and food available. The view from inside or the deck, with fire rings, is incredible. Although it is a bit difficult to find and quite out-of-the-way, it's worth the effort for the quality of cider and wine, and the wonderful staff and setting.

Google
Chill atmosphere, with amazing views of the City, along Great food and Wine & Cider. We a great time there and we planning to go back asap.

Google
Probably the best cider I’ve had, granted I don’t drink too many. I found them at the ferry building farmers market and the gentleman serving me samples was extremely insistent. After trying them all I knew why! They were all really good and of the 4 there we ended up picking up 2. I'd would definitely be interested in trying more next time around!

Google
I bought 4 cans of cider while I was in San Francisco by the Ferry building market. Probably the best cider I have ever tasted, it is refreshing and dry, not overly sweet but very tasty, perfect taste, considering where I live is considered cider country (UK). Im yet to find similar quality in UK. Hopefully we can get this cider across the pond!

Google
Wonderful staff and ciders. Great to start with a flight. Growlers are cheap too!

Yelp
While down in the bay, escaping the Sacramento heat, my husband and I and our dogs met up with a friend at Far West Cider Co., which was pouring inside Riggers loft. They had a cover the day we were there, because there was a band and live music on the patio but the view is stunning, and the whole atmosphere is very open and modern. I loved that there were options for other beverages and food as well but the cider itself was delicious. We each opted for a different cider so that we could try a variety of the options and compare. The cider was clean and crisp and not too sweet.

Yelp
Great location once you find it, views are incredible. Great service even though they were hosting a large event. Didn't try any of the food options but we'll be back again.

Yelp
drove all the way there from oakland on 10/27 and it was closed for an event. no indication on their website it was closed. thankfully East Brother Beer was open so not a totally wasted drive.

Yelp
I went to Far West Cider Co with some friends a few weeks back, and thought it was pretty nice! To start off, this venue is well-designed for Covid. It's essentially a large warehouse, so it is very spacious and easy to social distance. There is also an outside area with a great view of San Francisco. I was able to try a few items from the menu, and was happy with everything I got. I ordered the Quattro Formaggio pizza and thought it was a bit expensive (around $16) but the portion was generous enough that you could split it with another person. My group also ordered the beignets, which were a big hit! Lastly, it wouldn't be a review of Far West Cider Co without some commentary on the Cider. I'm not a cider expert, so I can't say much. However, I really appreciated the variety of cider options and that they let you try samples before going with your pick. I ended up choosing the apple pie spiced cider and thought it was delicious!

Yelp
Beautiful views! The was really good. The beignets were fresh and hot. So good! Wonderful wine and cider on tap. Definitely a great place for a date or a glass of wine with the girl's. They had live music, so the cover charge was $5. I ordered the poke tacos, French fries, beignets, and shrimp pizza. All was good, except the poke tacos. The weather was perfect enough to see the Bay Bridge and the Golden Gate. Watching the sail boats go pass really made it even better. The location is definitely a hidden gem. Nice people working there also.

Yelp
really cute place to try some new ciders and wine. i was here for about an hour and a half and enjoyed a flight and a glass from their taps. the workers were really kind and the ambiance was a nice tucked away, chill vibe from the city and oakland. worth the 15 min drive! i would come back for a cute date night or on a hot sunny day for the back patio.

Yelp
*Open for outdoor seating - recommend making a reservation in advance!* Safety precautions: All staff wear masks. Upon arriving, the hosts at the front will take your temperature, ask you to wash your hands at the station, then take you to your table. Drinks and food: There are many selections for flights, cider, wine, etc. The guava cider was great! It's definitely on the sweeter side. We came here more for a snack rather than a full meal. We ordered the cheesecake, which was delicious. If I wasn't full, I would have ordered another. We also ordered a charcuterie board. Ambiance: The live band was great and provided some fun entertainment. People were enjoying dining together and dancing to the music. Being on the water, it was windy and cold here. Definitely recommend bringing a jacket and blanket. Excited to come back here again soon!

Yelp
Cool spot, lots of space. Cider was yummy. Right on the water so must be nice at sunset.

Yelp
Was introduced to this company and their excellent hard cider at our local Farmer's Market. The customer service rep on site was so helpful and did such a great job telling me all about their excellent product. Taste testing was a lot of fun . . . product is healthy, refreshing with a nice "buzz" to it. Yes, I am now a customer. Thank you!

Yelp
Not a beer drinker or pretty any alcoholic beverage other than wussy drinks (pina colada, daquiris, et al). In my college years, wine coolers were my preference. Then, rum and Coke. Then, the 'party years', kamikaze's, screwdrivers, and Long Island iced teas. Then I grew up... got a job, had responsibilities... oops, too much information. So, in shopping at the Ferry Farmers Market in September, there were a number of new businesses who joined the fray on the south driveway. In seeing some apples (early in the season), I also happened to notice this business had a table to the side of Sur La Table. What caught my eye? Californian cider with pink guava (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=5Vr7kHMZlkGiS3KM6TkBGg&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q). If you know me when it comes to fruits and drinks, I'm down for anything related to guava. I put it in my fridge until my schedule was such that a. I could afford to be hungover the next morning if I downed this thing and b. it was a warm enough evening to warrant have a nice cold one. I had it as a post Saturday dinner beverage and it was slightly sweet with a bit of a tang to the aftertaste. I am certainly no connoisseur when it comes to wines and spirits but I was feeling a little mellow after about 2/3rds of the can. Early in the season, I also bought some apples from them which were crunchy and delicious (early fujis). Stop by if you are a beer or cider person. Maybe you'll find something that leaves you a little mellow afterwards...

Yelp
Far West Cider has a stand at the Saturday Ferry Bldg Farmers Market for a while but i only recently gave them a try and got immediately hooked. I've seen their tall cans at various spots around SF as well-- the design of the guava can is very eye-catching. I built my own four-pack a few weeks ago and was able to taste their various products. When I went back again, one of the staff told me to visit their spot in Richmond and there was a mead drink that was pretty cool. I convinced my friends to go and we went this weekend. The weather was perfect. There was great live music. The pours were... beyond generous. An excellent excursion from SF! I took Bart to El Cerrito Plaza and my friends picked me up and it was a quick drive over. The outdoor space is lovely with a great view of the city. They share a space with a winery so my friend was able to change over to wine when he felt overwhelmed by cider. I ordered the beignets which were delicious and perfectly sized (2 bite-sized as opposed to Cafe du Monde sized). I got some full sized pours and also a flight to taste some of the ones I hadn't seen at the farmers market, including the mead-jito which was across the board popular with my friends. We made a reservation for Saturday afternoon-- you do have to put down a credit card and will get charged if you cancel last minute and my friend noted that the reservation system was a bit confusing. The main door was closed when we got there so it was a little confusing to find the door to get in, but aside from those hiccups everything was great. The group before us (a family) had not made reservations and it was okay. I don't know how often or how many people make it out to Point Richmond, but it was a great spot. With excellent cider. Love it!

Yelp
Cider and Sauvignon blanc were 4. Live music and venue, a 5. Service, a 3. Hostess and bartender curt.

Yelp
Love love love this cider. Met the cider brew master Adam and he rocks. Did a tasting and loved all of them especially guava cider and the hops cider. It's so smooth and awesome super chilled. The atmosphere at Riggers Wine Loft rocked too. If not for the windy road there I'd for sure be there weekly. Can't wait to be back!

Yelp
We drove out to the Riggers Loft in Richmod after reading the wonderful Berkeleyside article http://www.berkeleyside.com/2017/12/18/far-west-cider-richmond-taproom/ . On the day before Christmas, all was quiet in the house. We didn't meet Adam Chinchiolo, but an employee of the Riggers Loft presented us with a menu that included a $10 flight as well as $8 glasses of various ciders. I selected the flight, which consisted of the Orchard Blend #1, the Rustico, the You've Guava Be Kidding Me, plus a fourth cider that was not on the menu. It would love to be able to say (in French) that I was sidéré (flabbergasted) by this ciderie, but the flight didn't exactly send me into orbit. Maybe I'm not much of a cider person -- I liked my recent tasting at the Rare Barrel a lot better! This being said, I recommend Far West to anyone in the area who enjoys cider. And Canal Boulevard just by itself is worth a detour!

Yelp
American Ciders have finally come to age. They have a small selection of fine hand crafted hard ciders. I loved the 3 I tried. My new fav is the Cherry Ginger Cider. Fruit forward and dry with a slight effervescence. It has a beautiful pale blonde color and is bright and crisp. The nose was lightly spicy. Lovely Cider. I talked with Adam and later met Joey. Both take 1000% care of the customer and are incredibly knowledgeable. of all products there.

Yelp
I enjoy cider and I consider myself an expert on ciders. The folks at Far West Cider Company grow their own apples and ferment and honest cider The Proper Dry is perhaps the best American Cider that I have tried. Their tasting room is shared with a few wineries. The place is full of barrels and offers a great water front view of San Francisco.

Yelp
The best Cidery in the West! Amazing Cider and unbelievable service! We couldn't make it out to the Cidery, so we ordered online. Our order was processed immediately and arrived soon thereafter. We ordered a little bit of everything that was available online, and it is all perfect! Thanks Far West Cider!!!

Yelp
Hands down, best cider I have ever had! I have tried a lot of ciders and Far West Cider has amazing selections. The tasting room is really cool too. The tasting room at Riggers Loft has a beautiful view that overlooks San Francisco. If you speak with the owner, Adam Chinchiolo, ask about the story of the family farm to the family cider.

Yelp
Great place! We ordered a couple of delicious local ciders. The service is very quick and attentive. Besides the ambience and view is incredible. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Far West Cider is located in a great warehouse type building with awesome decor, ocean views and a great cider + wine selection. There was a great mix of live and recorded music, ample seating and good food options. We were there for my cousins birthday and she absolutely loved it, will definitely be back!

Yelp
Really neat location tucked away but with an epic view of the bay and city. It is a calm spot to sit and enjoy the sun and some great ciders.

Yelp
I've drank a lot of different ciders over the years, and this is by far my favorite. Very light and crisp, not overly sweet and doesn't taste bitter on the aftertaste like many dry ciders do. Very refreshing drink, would be perfect for a sunny park day or Sunday brunch.

Yelp
Great cider! I don't like sweet ciders and there are several options that vary in flavor. The Proper Dry has 7.5% and is delicious. There is a great view of the bay too. You can see old ships right next door. We went to a brunch and the food was great. Lots of things I've never tried.

James C.

Yelp
Some great varieties of cider. I had a tasting of four of their ciders and they have a broad range that works for pairing with a lot of foods. My personal favorite is the crab apple cider - dry, not very sweet, and very enjoyable (though limited so get them fast). The cider co is also adjacent to several winery tasting rooms, so you can also have wine if you're a fan. I'm impressed with the quality and depth of the cider.
